Where do I begin? Loosing a love one is always a tragic and traumatic experience 💔Especially when that someone was your Mother. Natalia (Oakdale staff) help cushion this horrible pain of having to prepare for my Mother’s services.From always answering my questions, my calls and replying to text. By allowing us to bring her birds and roosters to say their last goodbye to letting us feel like my Mom was being cared for with love. We never felt like she was one in a bunch there at their facility. I dare to say they treated her more lively than inter community hospital did when she was alive unfortunately.I’m glad my Mother pre purchased her arrangements here while she was still with us. We love the staff at Oakdale especially Natalia, Chula and Rosalie 🥹🙏❤️ THANK YOU ALL for everything

Both my grandparents lay at Oakdale. Recently, weve had to do some international paperwork and Natalia at the office was of great help. They knew exactly what to do and moved swiftly to get things done. Being in another country, I dont how we wouldve managed without her help. The paperwork was done quicker than expected and she was very nice and easy to communicate with.

I want to express my gratitude to Sally. She was absolutely amazing. My father recently passed and we were holding a short memorial. I had no clue what I was doing nor did I have the strength to get everything, and everyone, together. She explained what my options were during the memorial and gathered everyone together, provided the option for us to say a few words, and closed the services professionally. I had recently lost my mom as well so having Sallys assistance was greatly appreciated. During such an emotional time, it is imperative to have someone who is experienced, and kind, by your side. She was definitely my guardian angel that day. Thank you so much Sally. I know I said it so many times during the service, but you made such a great impact on our last times with my father that I will be forever grateful.

My father-in-law was laid to rest in 2022 and because of poor communication from our familys side, his grave marker was not placed. I reached out to Oakdale and Monica, a Family Service Counselor, returned my call. She was apologetic even though she was not part of any previous communications with our family. She explained the process and within the time frame that she laid out the marker was placed!! She returned my emails promptly and was always very pleasant. What a great gift right before my birthday and fathers day. Thank you Monica!

I found myself at Oakdale two hours after my sisters sudden demise. As I entered the lobby there were a few people gathered. Natalie came up to me. She inquired. Took us into a private room. She was kind, compassionate, knowledgeable and sensitive to our needs. Later when texting questions, they were answered immediately. The expense was less than I imagined. I would highly recommend Oakdale. I found the staff to be friendly, but more important, extremely knowledgeable, efficient and sensitive to our needs. Thank you!

The most amazing experience. Oakdale & their employees made me feel at home. The services were memorable. They helped me lay my 2 sons to rest & made sure they got what they deserved. A couple weeks ago, my father and I attended a funeral at Oakdale for a close family friend. Every employee we interacted with was patient, and helpful. We want to use this review to thank everyone for all their help and kindness. At the viewing Thomas really made everyone feel welcome (it was a HUGE turnout with a large family and many friends). The room outside the chapel was perfect. Everyone enjoyed the coffee and bread. The next day, Chula did a great job at the viewing showing so much compassion. Their warmth and attention to detail was much appreciated!

Beautiful cemetery. My mom bought and paid for her plot many years ago but we had never been out to see it. Unfortunately it came time to use it for her and since she had it paid off everything went very smoothly. The coordinators were very kind and treated us with respect during the whole process. They were very helpful and gave us many tips that helped at the time of the services. I am thankful to everyone at Oakdale for their help and grateful my mom is resting in such a beautiful place.

Called to make arrangements for my brother who passed away I had already had a bad experience when my dad passed away we paid to have him dressed for the viewing before cremation and when we arrived he was still in his hospital gown when we complaint the first thing they ask was well do you pay to have him dressed the manager was very rude. My brother has three kids two being adults yet one of them we have never met him we don’t know where he is he doesn’t have my brother’s last name is not on his birth certificates my nephew being the oldest is special needs the mortuary was requesting medical record to confirm that he was special needs and could make decisions and even though I let them know my mom had custody of him so legally she was the next of kin they wanted us to look for his son and that we could not make any arrangements if we didn’t present what they were asking. We decided to go with Pierce Brother’s in Riverside best decision ever the staff very professional we had the same viewing process for my brother that we had for my dad but the difference was so much different the preparation the professionalism of the staff the room set up the by whole process was the best so much we decided to sell our plots from Oakdale and purchase new ones at Pierce Brothers will never go back to Oakdale after this last experience. We presented my nephews legal documents of his disability we’re approval by the legal department and had all services done in order.

The Directors that were present at the time of my Moms Funeral were amazing and very empathetic.I feel everything was overpriced and I didnt like the fact that we dealt with 3 different people when making the funeral arrangements. The programs handed out at the viewing had the incorrect information for the burial times for the next day, causing much confusion for everyone. Worst part of everything is we had to wait 6 weeks to have my moms funeral. The wait was overwhelming and caused additional expenses for family that was from out of town.

The only reason Im giving 2 stars is because the property itself is nice and seems to be kept up well. My problem is with the people who helped me arrange my moms services.-They ask that u text them rather than call, but rarely respond to the texts u send them.-I was lied to, MULTIPLE times.-Was made to pay for things that we didnt need, nor even used (hearse, utility vehicle), even though I was assured they were needed and would be used.-I was told my dad had to sign papers, so we made another appt for him to do so, then at that appt, was told I was the one who needed to sign. I wasnt at that second appt, but was listening over speaker phone and I was told I could DocuSign, when just little over a wk prior I was told they no longer used DocuSign.-I was called and confused for another client when on a call.-Even though this may have been a technical error, some of my favorite pictures of my mom werent included in the slide show, nor DVD and photo book, which was a huge disappointment for me.I have a whole list of things that were not done correctly on their part, in my opinion, but that would be too long of a read. They need to do better.Also, for the Valentine holiday, there was an extended period where flowers and decor should have been left alone and not tossed as they do weekly. 2 days after leaving flowers, I saw that they tossed most of my moms arrangements in order to lay cement infront of her memorial wall. There were no signs saying they would toss the flowers and block off the area prior to me leaving the arrangements. Again, they need to do better.

Does not upkeepConstant theft of flowers and decorationsSome areas of grass does not get watered, I always have to water my grandmother’s area and pull weeds and ants are a problem now.Paid for vases and they took months and several complaints to get them and are constantly getting stolen( it’s a sad I can’t put flowers comfortably and potted plants are not allowed)Expensive especially for bad service.Workers are good at condolences but vague on explaining process, services.I understand Burials are expensive, but with all that money maintaining the cemetery should not be a problem

At our first visit to arrange everything went well, at least we thought . The services/ memorial, was almost perfect. Then came the cremation which was very nice & accommodating, But when we went to pick up the ashes, we were very unhappy & dissatisfied, as we asked for the ashes to be split in several bags, to our surprise, they were not which was very upsetting. There was a lot of miscommunication & miss understanding thru out the process . Same thing with permits & death certificates . Also misinformation for the process of the slideshow, another very upsetting part of our experience.

After an unexpected death in the family, my brother and I decided it was time to pre-plan so my parents wouldnt go through the expense or pain. A large number of family is buried at Oakdale Memorial and it is where my parents have paid for a plot. I called Oakdale Dignity for information and gave the rep specifics of what we wanted: a complete package as close to my parents as possible. Over the phone I was given a reasonable quote and monthly payment we could afford. In person I was given a quote several thousands of dollars higher and a monthly payment over $100 what was expected. The required down payment was also different and the amount of down payment affected the price of the plot meaning the interest free financing is not interest free at all -- the interest is baked into the cost.We tried to buy in a different cheaper section and asked if my parents fully paid off plot could be moved and the manager (who we never saw) would not approve the move without an additional amount paid. After being deceived, we refused to pay more. Furthermore, they had promised to have my parents deed ready for pick up and were instead more interested in selling us pre-need funeral services than actually giving us the deed (we left without it).What should have been a quick and easy experience after a phone call and text messages turned into an emotional 3 hour ordeal leaving me feeling taken advantage of. If it were possible to go anywhere else (in other words if my parents didnt have a fully paid plot there already), I would have left rather than accept the bait and switch. If this is what they do pre-need, I dont want to know what they do during an emergency.

My mother passed away on May 28, 2021, and was buried in late July. The experience I had this time around here and Oakdale was very disappointing. Arraigning the services with the person we were assigned to was difficult in its self. After a year of her passing and multiple phone calls to the lady in charge of my mom‘s case or burial counselor, she still does not have her stone I was told because of Covid it was coming from China and they said India many other friends had had family members pass away and their stones were put on within months of the burial and I found this out I called again I was told eight weeks after a year that my mom had been buried this time we get here eight weeks went by and nothing. I sent emails and text messages to the lady in charge of my mom‘s burial with no replacement after pressure from the family I decided to call the Manager who informed me that yes it was taking a long time but to me, a year is unacceptable. Well after my phone call within four days my moms stone miraculously was received and put in on the day they told me it was they were going to receive it I don’t understand why this took so long I have not gotten a response an explanation of why. When a loved one passes the last thing you wanna do is argue with people that are supposed to be helping you do your time of grief. I hope someone from Oakdale reads just called me and give me a valid explanation of why this took so long. The one positive thing an experience was the counselors in the chapel and the counselor the day of the burial when we put my mom in the ground but the people in the office horrible experience for me.

Overall arrangements and services were fine. The fact that my Father (Genaro Pesqueira) has yet to receive his gravesite placard a year after his burial is quite disrespectful. A U.S. Marine deserves better. I have yet to have a reason an explanation for such a long delay. Especially since all fees have to be paid up front.

Yesterday I went to the cemetery to bring flowers to my father and brother. My fathers memorial plaque and flower stand were full of ants and dirt. Mr. Salomon and Mr. Lorenzo were near us and I asked them for help. They kindly helped me. They removed the soil, changed the flower stand and fixed the memorial plaque without making a report to the office. It was an excellent service. Thank you so much.Norma Serrano.

EDITED TO ADD:: Here plaque was finally installed in November 2023, but we never got a call to let us know that it was being install or had been installed.If I could give this place negative stars I absolutely would!! I can’t believe it’s been over a year since my grandmother has past and she STILL DOESNT HAVE HER HEADSTONE!!! And when you call the office, they all LOVE to play stupid. I can’t believe a place where you leave your loved ones to rest would do this!! They need to have a COMPLETE redo of employees and management!!! A wonderful Celebration of Life service provided by Oakdale Mortuary. Natalia and her associates Marco & Louie did such a great job planning and directing the service. The staff was kind and patient and worked well with meeting our familes needs. Natalias professionalism and compassion shines! What was once a nice respectful cemetery. Now is amusement park. I wish I could move my family (grandparents and father) to a better more respectful cemetery. I have had nothing but headaches and pain since my father death in 2020. From ordering a headstone and being told by their vendor that she didn’t care how long she took to make it. To seeing people drink and peeing in bushes. What a disgrace. I highly recommend looking somewhere else if you have high standards and respect for your love ones who have passed on.

I had my husbands funeral here and it was a awful experience during his service. First of all we had to we about an hour after the service was suppose to start because no worker was there to help us. Then we had to wait again for them to move the machine that drops down the casket cause they placed it wrong. When we started our service they started to rush us even though we started late because of them. The main lady attending us told the workers to leave to help another funeral service happening Even though we said we wouldnt take too long. So then they started rushing the other family they were attending to then come back to help us once again waiting over half an hour. We had a terrible experience with one of the managers also his overall attitude was rude. Once we finished our service they had told us that they would not actually finish burying the hole for a couple hours and that we could leave. My entire family stayed to watch the casket be fully buried and it took them an hour to finally get to it only because they felt rushed.

This place is horrible. It’s been over a year since my dad passed and we buried him, and they still can’t find a tombstone…. I payed thousands and still have nothing, they just keep playing me…. It’s sad and it’s pathetic…. I wish I didn’t have to deal with capitalism when my dad dies … I have multiple people help me, the original person left and then it was taken over by someone else and it seems no one cares…. The FAKEST place on earth…. The employees are nice and good people, but the business is pure devil****UPDATE - after 3 years Oakdale billing calls me again and says I owe $1200 and they can’t even explain the charges… they are beyond corrupt and horribly ran, please people avoid this place at all costs… I have to call Management tomorrow to figure out what this bill is…. It’s been 3 years since my Father passed and I’m still dealing with them

To all families: make sure you are aware that scammers may be checking online obituaries to steal information (we were targets). We had ordered and paid for jewelry for my granddaughter that would include my husbands ashes. Not only were the ashes closed up in the burial without this request, they weren’t available for my two daughters who paid in advance for the ashes to be available for their own order once they could do so. My daughter had to follow up to ask where the jewelry was and they had forgotten about it and didn’t send the request in. My husbands ashes were no longer available.The person in charge got permission to comp for three pieces of jewelry that would offer signature and/or photos, but not anything that included ashes.They are still awaiting this request and the staff seems to require a lot of emails to check to see if things are happening.In addition, no one explained when my husbands headstone would be personalized, despite my daughters request for this information. We have only received a request for a signature with no response to her email to ask about this.We still aren’t sure about the jewelry and await follow up on this as well as the headstone dates to be done.We are not sure if this is a staffing problem or multiple oversights, but it is a difficult time for our family. We are trying to get back to our lives and this prolongs our grief.

My parents bought their plot many years ago and unfortunately we had to use it for my dad who passed away last month. I will say that Alejandra the person that helped us prepare for the funeral was very helpful and compassionate. However, I believe that their job doesn’t stop as soon as everything is payed for. We paid for 3 flower vase spots to be made and we are going on two months and they still haven’t been made. Oakdale should deliver and complete the work in a timely manner since we did pay for it. Another thing that is really bothering me is that two days after my dad was buried, another person was buried next to him and what the grounds people did is that they took the flowers that were on top of my dad’s grave and moved them one space down from his grave and they were never put back on his grave. As a result the grass on my dad’s grave dried up really bad and we were very confused on which was my dad’s plot. When we came to visit my dad we met with the family of the person buried next to my dad and they told us that they were very upset because they were stepping all over my dad’s flowers to make room for her loved one that was getting buried. This made me really upset because it is very disrespectful, they wouldn’t do that to their family members so why would they allow it to happen to another family.What I would like to advise is when you go buy a plot, go visit the place where you are going to be laid to rest. Oakdale is a very pretty place but it is also very dirty. They need to hire more grounds people because the trash is always over flowing, there’s trash on the grass and around the area where your loved one is resting and the grass is not watered enough so there are many dry patches of grass and it looks ugly. I have been going every other day to water the grass so it can grow because it’s not getting watered and I have also observed that are parts where the grass is not even being cut. My sister in law who also has her dad resting there told me that it took Oakdale almost a year to install the headstone for her dad. My siblings and I wanted to buy plots there but I don’t think it’s going to happen. Very disappointed.

Worst experience ever. My grandparents were supposed to be put away, when we were getting ready, they said we needed documents in order to put them away when we were never told to bring them, we asked if they could print copies and they did but only for one of my grandparents which then they asked if we could drive all the way back to our house to look for them. My mom had to suffer because of their stupidity. Whoever is handling the paperwork are not doing their jobs. They don’t care about the families, they care about the money. My mom paid $8,000 to them and for them to do this is on the same day of the service is unacceptable.

Oakdale Memorial is a beautiful place. I would go there when I was young just to look at all the headstones and wipe them clean. Never realizing I would now have 6 members of my family there. Its beautiful and peaceful. They just need to work a bit harder on getting things together so your services has no mishaps. This is where my brother in law is buried. It is a very nice OLDER cemetery. And although it is nice, I visit my brother in law about every 4 months because we live about an hour away. I bring my own scissors to cut around his grass and upkeep his little stone. When they mow the lawn it completely misses his area and when I come to visit it is overgrown! I clear all the mulch and polish his stone. I wish the lawn care people would mow over the grass so it won’t be so high when I go to see him. They might as well be paying me to upkeep the perimeter!

Were very nice when I went with my mom to set this up but after her death service and communication has been poor. Despite appointments at 2 different times (once immediately after and once to collect her ashes) I was still made to wait for over 30 minutes each time. They also delayed significantly in ordering the death certificates but tried to blame it on sometimes the doctors are slow to get back to us.1 year later - still having problems getting things done.My advice: dont let the sorrow of losing some one make you spend more than you need. And dont expect them to be your partners through this. Despite all the nice words and being given condolences over and over they are a business and will make money wherever they can.

For the most part I never complained, but on 7/13/21 we went to visit my daughter and mother in laws sites, and took pictures of the grass not being trimmed from the flower cups to the headstones, I trimmed it by hand before putting the flowers, my wife stopped by the office to complain and remind them about repacking the dirt under the stones, cause they were moving down and after the gardeners went to trim, the flowers were gone and they lied and said there was no flowers down, we are waiting for this to be addressed by managementI am happy to inform all of the people who reads reviews that, management took charge of the situation right away, not only they level the headstones, but replaced the flowers, we are very thankful to Martha the manager, who was prompt to help us and solved the problem 👍👍

First of all, when we went to the appointment to set up the service, we worked with Tiffany and she was not pleasant and when we asked her about the video that we had prepared, she told us we couldn’t play the video on your system so we asked about the WIFI and she told us that we can use the WIFI to play it. We asked several times and that was her answer!The day of the service the funeral director asked us for the cd to play the video which was the opposite of what Tiffany told us! We did not bring a cd since we were told that we could not use your system. The sad part is that the funeral director called her and she had the audacity to tell us that she had told us we could bring a cd to play it! Unbelievable!At the time of a loss, families are in a lot of pain and need compassion and to feel comfortable with the place the services are at! That is not what happened! Tiffany also told us that we should have given her a $30000 check! Our dad made a sacrifice and paid the services years ago. That doesn’t give her the right to say that to people that are hurting! Absolutely ridiculous! We used Oakdale when my father died and it was different. The last few years and the new staff has turned that place into a horrible place to go! Not even the bathrooms worked! Also not only did she lied about everything been covered, she also sold her stuff that my sister didn’t asked for! We recently had a service for my mother. I called Oakdale and was immediately connected to Paola. She was simply amazing throughout this difficult process. She immediately scheduled to have my mother transported. When the gentleman from the mortuary arrived at our home, they were very gentle and asked for permission at every step, making us feel like my mother was in good hands. We then met with Paola to discuss funeral service. She explained the entire process. We scheduled her service for 2 months away, although we were given several options which would included having it sooner if we chose. In those two months, I texted Paola numerous times with several questions, sometimes repeat questions. She was always very polite and extremely helpful. We spoke prior to the service and we discussed an itinerary. She was very accommodating to my special requests and changes I requested. During the actual viewing and funeral, the entire staff was extremely supportive. They were on standby and with just one glance from me, they were ready for any needs that my family and I had. I really would like to thank Paola and the staff at Oakdale for their help and support, my brothers and I are very pleased with the way mother was honored during her funeral services. I started the process of having my son inurned in Oakdale in September of 2022. After two months of not hearing from my contact, even though i made several calls (which were not returned), I finally got a hold of my contact only to realize, in my opinion, that she had forgotten me. I had to give her the information again.After numerous phone calls to my contact during November and December with no response as to when I could expect the inurnment I finally had enough. I called again and asked for a supervisor and told him I wanted another contact because I was getting no response. I was told they were very busy and I needed to continue to work my current contact and he, the supervisor, would be on top of things.Finally, I was given an appointment of December 27, 2022 to bring my sons ashes in, sign the contract and pay. I did so. My son was placed in his final resting place in January, 2023.However, his plaque is still not in place. After many texts, I have been told the plaque should be in place by the end of March, 2023.The plot where my son was placed had previously been bought and paid for. With that in mind, the whole process should not have taken six plus months. And it is still not complete, and wont be until the plaque is in place.The only positive I can say is that my experience on December 27, 2022, was handled with dignity.As of today, April 5. 2023, the plaque for my son, Rocky Rightmyer, is still not placed. The answer I received today from Oakdale was The marker department is checking for us. All well and good but what does that mean? Its just a generic response. Someone should have been checking on this daily.

They threw it away when they had no right to. It may seem like something unimportant to them but that Owl had very sentimental value. If I would if known that this place does not follow their own flower guidelines I would of never placed it there. Manager has not addressed the matter and will not return call. Very poor management!Lets not mention the sales people that harass you on the weekends trying to sale a plot to you while you are there visiting your loved one. Harassment is the word, they do not only approach you once but maybe about 4 to 5 times. Ridiculous!!!.Also the ground keepers do not seem to be able to be doing their job right. You would think grass would be green, headstones would be taken care of and maintained. Nope, not here. We recently lost our mom and every time we come to visit, we always get approached by staff to buy plot(s). Please have empathy and understand that we are mourning and could care less about your sales pitch! We understand that this is how people make a living, but please let US go to YOU at your booth/ offices.We have witnessed people getting drunk and smoking weed here. Kids running around and grabbing flowers, flags/windmills- unacceptable! We wish security would be more involved. This is not a park. This is where our loved ones are resting and people should treat it respectfully.Lastly, after purchasing our moms headstone, we were told we were going to receive a proof to confirm everything was right. We expected it within 1-2 weeks. We called and emailed and have yet to receive any confirmation after nearly a month of waiting. Our fear is that our mom will have an incorrect headstone on top of being late since other people have gone through similar experiences. If you cant do the job promptly or correctly, at least let us purchase the headstone elsewhere.Bottom line-Please dont just be calling us when you want our money. Keep that same energy when we call you for assistance. Have the decency to return our calls/emails.

All pandemic related delays aside, getting a marker for my loved one has proven impossible. Their phones only work after 5pm, when they get transferred to an answering service. They are fully aware that their phone system has been broken for months, but havent repaired it. Ive had 2 different staff members go completely MIA after receiving my detailed marker order. My mom rests in the Monolith by the fountain. She passed almost a year ago but her bronze name plaque has never been installed!! Still plaster after 11 months. Words cannot express my gratitude for everything Oakdale Memorial did for my family and I. My father and my Wife recently passed, so we had two services back to back. My wife’s final wish was to be cremated and buried by my family plots. I promised her I would make that happen. I knew I needed a miracle because our family plots were purchased 50+ years earlier. Not surprisingly there were no below ground plots available in that area. However there was a tree at the feet of our family plots and Oakdale Memorial Park was able to create an above ground Garden on each side of the tree. This location is beautiful and well maintained from the inside and out. Unfortunately I cant say the same about the staff.To begin, calling this place is like calling a Dominos Pizza location. They take a while to answer and when they do they give you the thank you for calling please hold *click* before you can even get a word out. Then after a while of waiting the call is lost. I understand that it may be busy at times but this has been the usual occurrence when calling them throughout all of 2020 and 2021.Second, they often fail to follow up on anything they said they will follow up on. I took the review and gave them a modest A+ review only to go through the bait and switch situation.Third, they lack the courtesy to reach out to families who are still in need of obvious services like getting a tombstone on a grave that is missing one. Making appointments to take care of such needs is also a pain as they will tell you that they will reach out to you to let you know when you can meet up with them but that phone call never gets made by them.Sad thing is that in the beginning they were giving us A+ service when it came to choosing the funeral service pack and getting our relative buried. But once they collected their $9,000 payment and put our loved one in the ground its like we didnt matter any more. Unfortunately I gave them a A+ review on the J.D Power review but if i had known they they were going to provide this poor quality service afterwards i wouldnt have given them such a great review.You can have the most beautiful cemetery inside and out but staff members that do a horrible job will ruin the entire experience.

However, I had the worst experience with staff after my grandfather died in September, 2020.Up until 2-3 weeks ago, the headstone was finally placed on his burial site. I have been in this run-around situation with my counselor and multiple managers who had continuously forgotten to process the headstone - their words, not mine. It happened a total of 3x. That is completely insensitive! Now, I understand that we have been in a very unforeseen life situation with all of the COVID-19 related deaths, but it does not allow for staff to completely disregard the respect that they should have with families of lost loved ones.To be more specific, I worked with counselor Macias, Manager Villalobos, and one additional manager to try to get this settled, but the managers chose to never call me back when I asked for updates. I also met with the managers multiple times in person and when returning for updates, I was told by the receptionist that every manager was busy and they would call me back, to which I would NEVER get a call back. I approved the headstone a total of 2x and I emailed the photo 3x. I even directly confirmed if they had the photo on file the second time, but again, they did not. Lets not even get into the fact they they never answer their phone. I had to show up in person over-and-over again. They never even bothered to call me when they had finally placed the head stone, after I had requested for them to do so. It also took 2 weeks after the headstone was placed to add the flower vase. Completely unacceptable on all aspects. If I knew this was going to happen, I would have never laid my grandfather to rest in such a disrespectful, dishonest, and insensitive cemetery.

The location is great and peaceful, however it’s been since Jan 12th, 2021 that I set up my mothers funeral service, burial, and headstone and only now after they sent us pictures of what the photo would look like on here headstone are telling us that the material for the headstone is stuck in transit! 5 MONTHS! And my mothers grave looks like another patch of grass. My sales associate/service coordinator does not return messages on occasion and does not follow-up. I spent over 11k on these services because I believed them to be professional, however after this event and all the communication failure me and my family feel cheated. I would mention the service coordinators name so you can avoid them but I think this testimonial is sufficient information. Also, they always tried to refer me back to my coordinator when I tried to ask the front desk for support by another coordinator. I would avoid this place, however it is nice but they will keep you family asking questions for months on why there no headstone.

When you leave a message for the agent, it either doesn’t get to that person or is ignored. If I could give 0 starts I would. Our entire family is buried in various areas at this cemetery. My brother passed away in 2014, and still does not have a headstone. We had issues with our plot in the beginning because it was a transfer. They kept trying to get us to purchase a new headstone even though one was transferred with the plot. We finally got that sorted out and then we had to decide what inscription we wanted. My mom was mourning and it took her a while to come to terms and decide what she wanted it to say. I called and the original woman we worked with was moved to mortuary and doesnt work with burial or plot clients any more. So we get a new girl, she tells us via email theres a fee to pay and that we need to come in. We drive over an hour to go in and shes not avaliable. So we ask to meet with someone avaliable since it is just to take payment and a contract. We met with another woman. And she helped us fill out the contract and when we asked how much we need to pay she told us we didnt have a fee. So we turned in the contract and left. It has now been over a year since that meeting and they have no record of the contract we signed with her. The woman who is in charge of our account just keeps telling us now we have to re-do the contract and pay a fee. This is absolutely ridiculous. If we could take our business elsewhere we would. Unfortunately we will be taking any future business elsewhere as well.

We buried my father over a year ago. The funeral ceremony all went wrong because of the representative that helped us made nothing but mistakes. My dad’s grass is still very dry after a yr. They have been giving us the run around saying “they’re going to fix the sprinkler system.” They also decide to do their gardening on the most visited day (Saturday). Rosalee was amazing! She really helped us navigate through the process of planning and executing my fathers funeral. Any issue that arises Rosalee was quick to send me a text or give me a call. It was about a month a half from my father death to his services. My mom passed away from covid in january 2022, and I was not able to have funeral till the first week in March. Being how I was not able to be with my mom when she passed. I hadnt seen my mom in 3 months so i had to see her. I was very unhappy with how she looked, face make up so thick. And the only other thing they did to her face was they put eye brows on her, her mouth was kind of drooped, her nose looked like it had been broken, shoved to side. They did nothing to her hair. She was soo swollen all over, no one really knew why. Her shoulder looked like it was shoved up in her year, her right side rib area looked/ breast area looked very odd. We were just informed this morning the WAITLIST for burial service is 3 MONTHS!!! 3 MONTHS! Even if the plot is fully paid for, funeral service paid for. Everything paid for. After reading all the negative reviews about Oakdale Cemetery, Im scared something like this will happen to my family, the purpose of prepaying all the services is not to leave a burden on them, i can only imagine this happening to my family, then the owner or manager just sending a message wanting to get together with you, at this point what does it matter? You have to make sure the grieving family is taken care of, if you need more staff, hire more staff. Also, why do we have to get the stone here (Oakdale Cemetery?) and why does it have to be paid in full? I wouldnt pay it in full until services are rendered. Usually once you pay ANYTHING IN FULL, IT WILL NOT BE DONE OR GIVEN ON TIME. Been there too many times. Good luck to all of us who have graves at Oakdale Cemetery.

I called 3 times regarding maintenance issue. The headstone was sinking low and called to request to have it raised and be leveled with the ground.First time I called, I was told about 1-2 weeks and that I would receive a call back. Nothing so I called 3 weeks later. A different person, Lynn, answered and said no request can be found and reasoned that rain will delay the work. I understand that with the rain, doing the work is meaningless but I called way before the rain started. I wanted her to check and see if it was even addressed and again, I got rain as an excuse.She said she would call me back once job is done.Waited another month, called back. A different person, Lupe, answered the phone. Again, citing rain as an excuse. We did not have rain every single day for the past month, month and a half so I was not listening to rain excuse anymore. She looked for my previous request since I mentioned this is my 3rd time calling. I asked if there is a way of checking if the work was even done since the request was made more than a month ago. She said she couldnt find the request at all and took my information all over again. I said what??? and then she retracted and said the request is there and that she will follow up.Rain excuse, again. The request was made WAY BEFORE rain started and we did not have rain every day! Same answers; I will put in the request, will call you when the job is done, and rain will delay the job.Both girls were very indifferent, almost bothered that I called, just-wanted to-get-off the phone and let-someone-else-take-this, attitude.I will have to wait again and see if anyone will ever call me back. I am going to wait a good 1-2 weeks after the rain so I dont get the rain excuse again.update* 3/26/2019It has been more than a month and still no response. I have below a location manager leaving me a message asking me to call.No, you have my name, you have my contact info, YOU call me when the job is done. Please do not leave a generic message asking me to call without your name. We were referred to Oakdale by a family member. All services were explained clearly, and all paperwork done electronically from a distant State. As cremation was requested, Oakdale streamlined that process, assisted with transfer to Military for Burial at Sea. Costs were kept down thru on-site crematorium. Staff were professional, timely, and friendly.

I’ve come here for almost 13 years and it’s okay. However, the one time we actually go into the office, after one of our visits the customer service is terrible. My mom has been through multiple surgeries & has medical issues that make it difficult for her to use a portable bathroom & she sometimes has random urgencies. It’s been a terrible struggle for her & she doesn’t like going places for that reason, she feels like a burden & is greatly embarrassed, but she finally decided to come visit her parents after a long while. Unfortunately, one of her urgencies occurred; she was stuck on the toilet. The lady informs me that they are closed, I inform my mother, & she informs me that she is having a difficult time. She is frustrated & embarrassed, so I ask if she would like me to inform the woman of her medical issue, she says yes. So I go out to tell the woman my mother has medical issues & is having difficulty in the restroom, and the woman gives me attitude. I understand we all want to go home as soon as the office hours say to close. However, sometimes things happen, and being that this is supposed to be a comforting place we trust considering this is where our loved ones’ remains are kept, I would expect a little more understanding, but instead the woman responds with attitude “okay? What do you want me to do? I need to turn on my security system that’s why I told you we are closed.” Again I understand we all have business hours for a reason, but again sometimes stuff happens that is out of anyone’s control. I did not appreciate her tone at all. We’ve always made sure to follow the rules of this cemetery & we have multiple family members here. Not only should we respect the dead, but also respect the living and have a little more consideration.

I usually dont like giving bad reviews but i felt very upset today here. I prior have a few loved one here and today my friends mother was going to be buried here. I got there went to the front desk for assistance to where it would be i got a map and she just told me what garden it was but never a direct section. I got there and also she told me that the family had not arrived yet so i i waited for an hour not knowing that the one that was going on already when i got there was the one ... So i went back to the office and another lady was there and i i told her the situation and marked to me exactly the curb number and everything and i i told her yea .. its the one that just finished and she said im so sorry ... But i mean i was still upset due to losing that moment ... I never had a bad experience here till today but i hope this doesnt happen to anyone else.. make sure you guys give people direct places and numbers ...

The workers were so rude! No compassion for our family, we had to wait at the gate for half hour. We got cleared only to be stopped again bc the coordinator left and didnt give word to the gate workers, who were also rude! I would not reccommend the mortuary either! I would prefer to give no stars!! My father In law was buried at Oakdale Wednesday July 1st. On July 6th my husband and I met with Lynn to order his grave maker and it was paid in full. She advised us we would have the lay out to approve within 2 weeks. After numerous phone calls, text messages and emails that she never answered, we receive the layout Sept. 24th it was approved and sent back within an hour of me receiving it. I then asked her how long it will take for it to be finished and put in, She replied with “there really busy but I put a priority rush on it and we should have it by the end of October if not the first week in November.” Which was fine. It was November 24th and we hadn’t heard anything so the phone calls, text messages and emails started again and not until January 2nd do I get a text message saying “we don’t have it, I’ll let you know” and haven’t heard anything since. I have been sending emails, text messages since and no answer, I have call Lynn and no answer, I’ve called the cemetery and I just get the run around or I get transferred to someone who isn’t available. I don’t trying to get in contact just here and there, every week I try and no answer. This is RIDDICOLUS and NOT OK! Please I’d like to know what’s going on with my father in laws headstone??? Where is it?? I understand with COVID the deaths were extremely high and things got busy but my father in law died way before the death rate started spiking and getting no answer is not good customer service. Were coming up on a year of him passing already and have got no answers!! So please tell me what’s going on with my father in laws headstone? Can we get a full refund? The services were good tonight. What turned it around was my negative experience with the night security guard. It was dark so I couldbt see his name. I had an emergency, so I had to leave. I came back to pick up my mom. I arrived 5 mins till 9pm. The security guard was very rude I explained i just had to pick someone up. I was very nice to him. He tells me I cant go in. Then he tells me with an attitude, YOU HAVE A PROBLEM!. What kind of rudeness and treatment is this. At the end of the day, they represent your company or business. What does this say about your business. People are in mourning, in pain. Paying over 10,000 for your services. So people like this can walk all over you. When you are in mourning and in pain. Hire people that have a heart, that have patients and love their job. Thousands of dollars are at risk. You think I would recommend people. Then my mom had to come by herself in the dark. He then has tge nerve to tell her to watch out for the plants. This was such an uncalled experience. Have better lightning at night. The security was worried about the plants. What if my mom would have fallen. At the end of the day, this experience shows me your company cares about making money, not about the people. You should train people better.

My father in law passed 2020. His head stone says he passed 2015 🤦‍♀️. We asked them to fix it. They havent got back to us. Its march 2021 and my father in law still dont have his head stone fixed. I call and call but all I get is someone telling me to leave messages. I just want the headstone fixed. How can they be so inconsiderate. When will it be fixed? I paid full amount. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the cemetery was closed before Easter. We had decorated my mothers grave there for had asked what would happen to the decorations; we were let know the decorations would remain there until the re-opening. Each week we would call, and would receive the same answer still closed. Then this week of May 5 we call and to our surprise the cemetery had opened and all our decorations had been thrown away. I understand under regular circumstances items are thrown out on Wednesday but due to the pandemic an email could have been sent out. There was no way for us to know when the cemetery was going to be open, the polite thing to do was send an email letting the community know it would be opening and if there were decorations provide a date by when they needed to be picked up. It was a very poor decision by the staff and the communication over the phone was inadequate as well.

I left a voice and text message to Monica V. explaining how unprofessional this practice is knowing that this is a professional business. Liliana Cuevas was very professional in her job, felt like she was our family when she help to organize a funeral for my sister-in-law Emma L. This place doesn’t even deserve one star, it’s been almost 9 months since my wife’s grandma passed away and still no head stone, I don’t understand why it’s taking so long, we’ve asked countless times and always get a different excuse. Is there any way to give negative stars? My family and I had the worst experience possibly ever. As we congregated to mourn my Uncle Bert Tavarez, at his wake, my family noticed something was wrong. Something VERY wrong. Another man, by the name of Antonio Perez was dressed in my Uncles suit, and brought out to us. Yes-this place BROUGHT OUT THE WRONG BODY TO MY FAMILY. AND DRESSED HIM IN MY UNCLES FINAL RESTING PLACE SUIT. Disgusting. Appalling. Unforgivable. To err is human-but this is NOT something that should have a team of people make such a huge and deafening mistake. This cannot be over-looked. Please-if you love your family member that has passed-dont bring them here. From all the reviews Ive read already-they are shady-to say the least. Im glad my Uncle was finally located...but that SHOULD NOT be something to be concerned about when youre already in mourning. Shame on whoever runs this place. If you are looking for a heartfelt personal experience, look elsewhere! We had a terribly disappointing experience. Many details went overlooked that were pre-arranged. The Staff was not sincere or sympathetic. This was purely a business deal for the mortuary and not a good one at that.
