This winery is very charming, featuring a cave where oak barrels are stored. The winery is built into a small mountain, allowing them to dig into the earth and create a beautiful cave for aging the wine. The view from the winery is fantastic. I enjoyed my visit so much that I would love to go back again.

Great wine and AMAZING service. We did a wine tasting for Valentine’s Day and we were lucky to have James as our guide! James was absolutely fantastic, he was hilarious and extremely knowledgeable and so kind. I would highly recommend this tasting to anyone! And if you get James as your guide you’re in for an extra great experience! The entire winery and cave is beautiful. Thank you Oak Mountain, we will certainly be back!

What a great experience. Highly recommend booking a reservation for the cave tour with James, he’s incredible! He surely knows how to keep a crowd entertained, he deserves a raise!!! There is a lot of history behind this winery and you’ll get to taste some of their delicious wines while touring inside the cave. Their outdoor cafe is dog friendly and indoor dinning inside the cave has a great menu! They now have a speakeasy serving cocktails too! So many fun things to do! Will definitely be back to support this winery.

I bought tickets on Groupon to do the the tour with the meat & cheese tray in the Cave. Let me just say it was amazing! We enjoyed it so much that I went back and got another Groupon for my son and his new bride. LOVED LOVED LOVED our guide! Judy was very knowledgeable and charismatic!The wines were tasty and we all took some home!Unfortunately we were unable to eat lunch in the restaurant to to an issue with the water that day, but that just gives us an excuse to go back the next time we are in California.

Such a great wine tour! James was amazing, fun, informative, funny, kept it interesting and great flow and timing with each pour. The drive in was nice and as its situated a top a hill, the views are beautiful and serene. The Cave was very cool, literally and figuratively, so much space, the hidden tables for lunch and dinners. Plus great outdoor seating with views and a great breeze.

Loved the atmosphere and live music at the winery. They have a variety of events they host. The Caves are spectacular and unique. Great food to compliment the wine tasting. Oh they have a distillery, perfect for those that don’t drink wine. Excellent staff and owner, they love their guest.

I attended an event today at this winery. What a treat! The views were amazing. Our host treated us to a tour of the winery. Our group decided to stay for a lunch and I must recommend the pork tacos and the waiter suggested sangria. What a combo! I definitely will be back. They also have wine tasting, and salsa nights under the stars. I cant wait to go back. Salud!

Not sure how this place makes money. The tasting & tour was an absolute joke! After touring Chilean wine country, maybe Im a snob, but the tour guide was a disgrace to the business and didnt represent the establishment well at all. He not only insulted the new owners in his monologues, he went out of his was to speak ill of past patrons and tainted the overall experience. Point, blank, period. Dont bring race, politics and religion into your conversation. Keep it about the wine and nothing more. Nothing was done with care. I would never suggest this experience to anyone I care about. Frenemy, maybe.

Just tried the new distillery that opened this weekend its called 36522 The distillery. It is a more intimate experience as the max occupancy in the building is 49 people. You do need reservations and they will not take walk ins. We tried some delicious appetizers and their new cocktails (cocktails were strong). The margarita tasted like fresh lime, the bees knees was sweet like honey, the strawberry daiquiri was a bit sour, the new york sour was sweet and tasty, the revolver had a dark coffee flavor, and the smoked old fashion was probably one of my favorites you could really taste the smoky flavor.

We came via BEST COAST tours. The tour included a flight of wines, a charcuterie board and a mini tour of the cave. The tour guide was super nice and informative. The winery was picturesque and pleasant. The staff was friendly and helpful. The cave, however, was legit cool. They host weddings, bridal parties and have memberships.

Came here for the wine tasting tour with my sis on my birthday. Our tour guide Noah was everything I expected and then some! Super knowledgeable, patient, funny, and cute. He definitely played a major part in the overall experience!That being said, the winery itself is SUPER cute and filled with personality. And turns out there is an interesting past of how it came to be...the tour is very worth it for the story/history alone. The cave tour is not much walking so comfy heels are possible fyi.Also filled with many great photo opportunities! They have cool indoor dining nooks and are known for good food (will be dining on our next visit for sure!). Perfect place for a romantic date or friends day out👍

During the holidays my husband and I took a tour and had a wine tasting which we purchased through Groupon. We were part of a group of 18 people and our excellent guide was Judy. She made everything fun and interesting. She was a great host and spokesperson for the winery. Although we really enjoyed the tour and most of the wine we tasted and would very much like to try the restaurant, we thought the membership pricing a bit steep with all the other options in the area. Still, we recommend this as a very good way to spend a few hours of your time.

I had my wedding at Oak Mountain Winery and have visited at least 5 times. They are super friendly, have a superb property, and such a huge selection with a wine for everyone! I love the Brut!Both we and our guests had an amazing time during our wedding at Oak Mountain Winery! The venue is beautiful and well laid out for weddings. Rony went above and beyond to ensure our vendor team was all coordinated and that we stayed on track with preparations. She was on top of everything and was also very flexible! On the day-of our wedding Rony was attending her friend’s wedding, but Ann and Marcus were there to make sure everything went smoothly, they were both very friendly and knowledgeable. We highly recommend Oak Mountain Winery!

In the 15 years I’ve been wine tasting in California, a visit to the Oak Mountain Winery ranks as the worst experience. A staff member took our money then abandoned us after the first pour to give a tour to a group of visitors. No problem, surely he’s handed us off to someone else. Nope. We made a sheepish inquiry to a surly, condescending young women who handed us off to someone else. This new fellow gave us our second pour and then abandoned us before we could get our third and last pour that we were made to pay in advance. The wine we did taste was poor quality but had the service been friendly we wouldn’t be leaving this review.

We went to the distillery on a Saturday night around 6. It was packed and justifiably so. What a cool speakeasy type bar. Great cocktails. I had the smoked old fashioned, which they make at the table. Really cool and tasted great. My wife had the cucumber martini which was just ok. The ambiance was incredible though. Great place to mix it up being in wine country when you want a great cocktail in a really cool setting.

Came here on a Wed. late morning and we were immediately assaulted by the loud, obnoxious, completely inappropriate music blaring out onto the outside seating area. After the young snarky man seated us outside - we asked to be moved inside where we thought we could at least hold a conversation. Nope! He moves us inside right by the blaring inappropriate music there! Thankfully our waiter turned the music down but seriously? The music appeared to be of this type and loud for the benefit of staff who were breaking out back.Food? Burger and fries for $18. Nothing special. The grand surprise is the price of the wine tasting with your meal (which is more expensive than at the wine tasting bar - go figure). $35!!!!! for 5 extremely small pours. Thats $7 for less than an ounce of wine folks. Somebodys making some dough on that. And the wine itself? Awful!!!!!Service was pleasant but mostly slow. Servers and wait staff appear not to really care if youre there or not. What we assumed to be the management staff was focused on some other thing and they couldnt even be bothered to move out of your way so you could exit this place.Do not recommend this in any way. Forget it. Read all the low reviews......

We spent an amazing afternoon with friends at Oak Mountain Winery and their Distillery right on the same grounds along the De Portola Wine Trail.We had been to Oak Mountain for the awesome cave tour a few years ago before we moved to Temecula, and were excited to visit again as resident Temeculans! We sat outside on the beautiful pavilion and enjoyed the sweeping views, tastings and then bottles of several reds and a Sauv Blanc. We also couldnt resist orders of the chimichuri steak fries which were INCREDIBLE!After finishing up at the winery when they closed at 5, we took a short walk over to the 36522 Distillery...which ended up being worth a visit by itself! Its fairly new, having just opened in April 2022, and is located just steps away from the tasting pavilion. Its located in what was the original tasting room of Oak Mountain Winery built in 2005. They totally nailed the ambiance -it truly is everything you expect in a speakeasy. Comfy seating, perfect lighting, ability to order food, super friendly and knowledgeable staff, and of course, amazing handcrafted cocktails made with their own distilled spirits, no less! How cool is that? We ordered French 75s and some smoked old-fashioneds (smoked and finished off at our table), and they were all excellent. Side note: Cave Café also has a great seniors (speeders) and brunch menu!And to make things even better, it was a Thursday - when wine club members get 15% off cocktails, food & spirits in the distillery from 2-8pm! No reservations are necessary which is a huge plus to me.As a side note, we waited several weeks to get reservations with friends to go to Apparition Room (the speakeasy in Devilicious in Old Town) and it was a total disappointment (see that review). In my opinion, 36522 Distillery is the speakeasy to go to in Temecula!Oak Mountain is a fun and truly unique place with delicious wines, food and spirits!

Very disappointed. We had a 5pm reservation for dinner. When we arrived and were seated, we didn’t see a server for 10 minutes. Our server arrived with out a greeting and just asked if we were going to order drinks which we did. We were trying to enjoy ourselves as we’ve had a nice day so far. After our flights of wine arrived we were asked if we were going to order food because the kitchen was closing at 6pm. Mind you, we just arrived and promptly ordered our drinks. There was no lag time. This was very off putting. Don’t have a time slot so close to closing. One of our meals never arrived. The server didn’t even notice. We had to ask to have it removed from our bill. The food was just ok. Wine was good, company was great which saved the restaurant experience. Eat elsewhere.

Use to love this place, drove from Alpine all the way to Temecula for the chimichurri steak fries. We were sat by the nice hostess and then the waiter asked us if we sat ourselves or if we were seated, we replied that we were sat by the hostess. He then throws a little hissy fit to the hostess about how he has too many tables or something, finally takes our order// chimichurri fries and drinks, he brings the sangrias its mostly ice but its good, whatever. I order a glass of wine, its good but its a very small pour. 40 minutes pass and still no food, the table next to us gets there food, they also ordered chimi fries. Lady remarks that they are cold, fries look soggy / I decided to just cancel my order. Wasnt gonna wait an hour for poor quality food. No longer good value/ very poor service. Go to goat n vine instead their sangria is 10x better and so is their food/service.

One of our favorite wineries and restaurants in the Temecula Valley wine country - and we are local to the area. We love the sparkling wines and enjoy lunch at the restaurant. Great service and the food is outstanding! As with all the wineries in the area, the weekends are busy. But you will not regret discovering this place. Came to this place to have lunch with my family, it was on Sunday and the place was busy. I had no problem to call in for a reservation in advance a couple of days early. We waited less than 10 minutes before they seated down. The cave was cozy and welcoming, people could stand next to the bar and chatting while sipping their wines. The noises were medium and respectable. The foods were as delicious as the wines. The waitress was so nice and helpful to us. Her name was Tena, she went extra miles to explain and recommended the meals to us. This place was clean and the service was super fast and friendly. The ride from Los to this place closed to 1hr 20 but it was worth the ride. Will come back for sure in the future.

I REALLLLLLLY wanted to like this place but by the end of the trip I left very disgruntled.Bought the cave tour Groupon for two. Went to the website to reserve as it requested. Clicked on cave tour, then made a reservation on open table. We got there and were told my reservation was for the Cafe. So someone needs to update the website. Luckily Judy let us join the tour group. For that I was very appreciative.Tour was just ok to me. Judy was extremely knowledgeable. But I expected a bit more then to sit at tables in a parking lot for 30 min, then walk through a man-made hole in the ground for 15. Meanwhile our glasses were near empty (everyones) 90% of the tour until we were seated at the end.The reds were alright. Not my favorite but everyones pallette is different and I can respect that. The cheese and meat board were pretty good, honestly my favorite part of the whole experience.The final moments of the table session and walk back to the front desk and making any final purchases is what really turned me off to this place.Judy gave an ample selling lecture on the wine club. Ok whatever, again I can put up with a little bit, maybe thats how she makes her money. She asked if we buy bottles of wine, to buy from her as she gets credit for that. Ok no problem... But my goodness, the blunt and out front mentions of her damn tip jar were ridiculous. Seriously to the point of pushy and awkward. We always tip well at the wineries, and even the same in this case, but dont ruin the experience pushing/begging to fill the tip jar.A guy that was in our group put in a dollar... yea thats almost a slap in the face. My wife actually looked at him and made a comment, come on. He laughed and said it was all he had left... but turned to his wife and grabbed another $10 to drop in it. Meanwhile during a quick walk by, Judy grabbed the dollar bill and said thats embarrassing as to hide it and imply the customer was a joke. And I agree that was a lousy tip, but you dont say that. Thats just rude... luckily the guy didnt hear her...We tipped her well, twice, then also picked up a $60 bottle of wine from her to celebrate a recent achievement of ours. We tried mentioning it to her to be friendly and drum up some conversation, and let me tell you, she could have cared less. Once we tipped her and bought the bottle of wine, her demeanor completely changed and she was just focused on closing up shop and we were just in the way... I just looked at my wife and said lets go. We turned and left and I couldnt believe how unappreciated we were as patrons for the first time at this place. The entire time we were very respectful and not over demanding and really just trying to have a nice evening. The lack of professionalism and not giving an F was out for all to see at the end of the tour.We wont be back, and Ill spend my money elsewhere, where Ive had a much better experience at many of the other wineries where Im appreciated as a customer.

A very delightful winery and the first alleged wine cave, since I thought my wine cave was the first. A 104 ft subterranean wine cave where you can wine taste and eat. But definitely a must-experience- stop in #Temecula wine region.. just don’t get in the way of servers when inside the cave.. most staff is very friendly and accommodating..

Oak Mountain Winery is Southern Californias only subterranean mined wine cave and is 104 feet underground. The wine and cheese tour was outstanding. Our tour guide, James, was energetic, funny, engaging, personable and a great storyteller. The history behind the winery is so interesting. The wine was all good. They also have two sparkling wines (strawberry and raspberry). The cave was a nice cool break from the outside gear. The cave restaurant has the tables set up either outside or inside the cave restaurant among the barrels. Very nice touch. The club membership perks sound like a great deal but I live too far away to join the club and they dont ship to my state.

On yesterdays trip to Temecula, this was our final stop. I very much enjoyed the views here. We visited the Cave, which we found extremely cute. Being new to wine tasting and only having one other experience to compare it to, this was a more secluded feel to the experience itself. When it comes to everything in life, everyone likes different things and although these wines were not what I would prefer, I still found them to be delicious in their own ways. Staff were very friendly there and attentive. We even tried their whipped feta dip which I had never encountered before. Its a very cute stop if you would like a little bit more of a private experience.

I came here with a group of friends for a birthday celebration yesterday and it was wonderful! We had originally booked three separate tables for a part of 12 at 12:30 but realized we needed to push back the time. I called and talked to Anne, who was not only accommodating enough to push our reservation to 1:15 but also seated us all together! They seemed short staffed but the server was very kind and all the dishes came out together. Beautiful views! I recommend the Caveman Red wine- we got a couple bottles to take home!

We visited Oak Mountain during our Temecula visit. We had a table reservation and were seated outside the caves. Its a nice patio, plenty of umbrella shade and they deploy cooling misters. Our party chose two wine flights, which the group enjoyed. Food was exceptional, we had the charcuterie and the tri-tip steak with fries (exceptional!).We were disappointed that the distillery doesnt open until 2 pm. We will have to circle back for that one.The view of the valley from the parking lot is beautiful! Why the patio seating view is blocked by the limo vans, I can only guess why...Im sure the limo drivers negotiated that perk.

The wine here is ok in my opinion. Id stick to their whites. Unfortunately, I wasnt a fan of any of the reds I tasted and neither were the people that I was with. WEDDING REVIEW:RUN AWAY.We booked this venue in 2019, with a different coordinator than who currently works there, and everything was going to be perfect.The current staff is incompetent, rude, and will LIE to you about what is included.Oak Mountain went back on our contract less than 90 days before our wedding, so we were in a pinch. They tried to force us into a new contract, and we had to threaten legal action just to get them to do what they had previously agreed to do.Vanessa is the coordinator here, and she is terrible. She promised us one thing, and then when we would ask her about it, she would say something else.On the night of our wedding, we paid to have our event end at 11PM. Vanessa tried to get us to change to 10PM, even though we had to have our ceremony at 6PM per the venue. Once we had it in the contract that it was to be 11PM, I thought we were fine. On the night of the wedding, Vanessa told my DJ and guests to start leaving. It was only 10:25PM. She essentially STOLE 35 minutes of my wedding away from us.We were told that there would be no other patrons on property, but the MORNING of my wedding while getting ready, Vanessa tells me that there will be regular distillery guests around.Vanessa also promised me that we could block the upper parking lot so there wouldnt be cars in the background of my wedding photos. The morning of the wedding, Vanessa tells me that we cannot do that anymore. Even though the night before at the rehearsal, she said it was fine. So yes, there are cars in the background of my wedding photos.Why cant this venue be honest with people who are paying them nearly $20,000 to have an event?Anne, the owner, is so rude. She will talk to you like you are a burden, and make you feel like canceling. She is the least accommodating person, and never once had anything nice to say to me.Honestly the only saving graces at this venue are Shelby and Mike. Without them I probably would have had an emotional breakdown.Do not give this venue a dime, or an ounce of your time.

Coming to this place to celebrate my 20th anniversary was suppose to be one of the highlights of the experience…sadly it wasn’t. The service was horrible! Our server took our drink order but failed to mention when the kitchen would be closing which is odd when giving our group a menu that had food options. Once we ordered our drinks, our server vanished. Once the bartender did give us our drinks, we were not asked for/given a refill of water or asked if we wanted more drinks for the table. We had to actually leave our table to go to the bar to ask for service. Once we did get served again we asked for a check and when given the check, no one came back to pick it up to process it. We had to once again leave our table to bring our check to the bar for it to be processed.Serving clients the basic necessities should not be difficult. And yet this place accomplished to alienate my group and I with their lackadaisical approach and their commitment to ignore paying customers! I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone due to their poor customer service!!

This is the 2nd time Ive visited with a group. First time was great, about 3 years ago. Last weekend we as a party of 8 visited the winery, had reservations in the cave. We just arrived, and sat down chatting and laughing, we were rudely told we had several complaints we were to noisy. We are all adults here and taken back about the several complaints. Turns out it was the table next to us. After they started having drinks, they were the loudest in the cave. The irony of an annoyance. I think when the manager asked us to keep it down, he said it repeatedly 5 times, we are all educated, you can say what you need to say once, no problem. Amazing Place!!! Very dog friendly! The tasting room is built into the side of the mountain, and according to one employee, it is 60 feet under ground. On a HOT 105 degree day it felt cool and refreshing! Super nice and helpful employees. EXTREMELY dog friendly! Weve been to a number of Temecula dog friendly wineries, and so far, as dog friendly goes, this is at the top of our list. So the discount that I received was not a freebie.Lastly, before I received my refund I was told by the tour guide that he did charge me correctly. I guess he wanted to have the last word and prove me wrong? This clearly is unprofessional and was not necessary. If he had nothing nice to say he shouldve just said nothing at all. Weather was sheer perfection, a smidge over 70 degrees, with a refreshingly cool breeze flicking about. Temecula can get warm in the summertime, so we got lucky.Oak Mountain Winery is perched close to the cusp of a hilltop, so it has nice views of the surrounding vineyards, & mountains. Beneath the very top of the mountain here, is where theybuilt their wine cave- the only one in Temecula.Oak Mountain Winery has great scenery, a nice venue, & we really liked a couple of their wines.All the employees we had contact with on the premises, were friendly, efficient & professional.

Wow! I have not had a more disappointing trip to a winery or dining establishment in a very long time. The hostess and our waitress, Tana, were both incredibly rude to our party of 4.We were seated immediately at one of the multiple empty tables next to the cave. We each placed an order for a full tasting flight and they arrived promptly. We then told Tana, our waitress, that we would not be ordering any food and instead just be enjoying the wine tasting. It was at this point that Tana’s attitude changed dramatically. We were then instructed to vacate the table because the table was supposedly for patrons ordering food only and for “reservations”. The hostess and waitress failed to tell us this at any point before, including when we ordered the flights and when we said we would only be having wine.Both the hostess and waitress suddenly became very confrontational with us and handed us our bill and basically told us to leave. They said they needed the table for reservations however, there were at least 6+ empty tables on the patio and nobody waiting.If you would like to enjoy subpar wine and terrible service, you should visit Oak Mountain and ask for Tana.

Weve been members for a year and live in the local area. Oak Mountain staff are very friendly, regular folks and not anything like a wine snob one might expect to encounter wine tasting, yet they know their wines well. The club manager has worked with us to delay or skip a shipment when we needed to avoid having to cancel or membership. Oak Mountain Winery has this sort of magical charm that lures you in from afar. The tasting room is my favorite place to be, not only for its lighting (and obviously the wine) but its WONDERFULLY CHARMING staff, who are there to help you along the way, crack jokes with you, and make you feel welcome. I find myself never wanting to leave because of this. I feel at home here and I’m never afraid to ask questions when it comes to something I don’t know about. I’m very thankful for their generosity we’ve received the last few months and their never ending friendliness and superb customer service. I highly recommend coming here and even signing up for a membership if you’re interested. You won’t regret it.

I have been a wine club member of Oak Mountain for a couple years now and I love it! The wine is great and reasonably priced. My favorite is the Muscat and the Raspberry Champagne. They also carry avocado oils which are very tasty. As a club member I get to enjoy free wine tasting whenever I like so I try to take advantage of this often. Ive been to quite a few of the wineries in Temecula, and Oak Mountain is definitely a favorite. All of the employees are super friendly and always make me feel welcome every time I go. Another bonus is that dogs are welcome and they even have vendors on weekends that sell goodies for your pets. If you havent been to this winery you really should check them out.

What really intrigued me about Oak Mountain was their custom-blended wine classes. I made a reservation for my man and I a few weeks in advance, and we ended up being the only 2 in the class that day. Im not sure how many they normally accept in a class, but I did love the one-on-one attention and instruction we received. The staff was very knowledgeable and personable, and we loved every minute of the hour. Once we both decided on our custom formula, the instructor put them into bottles and we were able to cork them ourselves and create custom labels. So much fun and highly recommended!

This was our first stop in Temecula wine country. We had a fun day hanging out and having flights of wine with a couple outstanding charcuterie boards that were definitely worth the money. They had an abundance of different cheese and meats and lots of chocolate. We will definitely return to the wonderful outside seating area. Oh and our server Erin did a great job taking care of us.

Seriously, that can make all the difference in how your day goes!! She was such a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. From giving recommendations on vendors, to her organization skills, to smoothing over anything that went wrong so that my wife and I didnt even notice...we are so appreciative!The wine for the wedding was a great selection. All of our guests had something they loved. The food selections were delicious! All of our guests were generously fed and said they loved the dishes.The cave was incredible for the party. My wife and I bought a Groupon deal last year and went to the class called Wines of the World 101. Overall, we enjoyed our experience: the wines were good, the winery is in a beautiful setting, the class was fun and informative. We a bit miscalculated what food pairings we would get with the wines we were served during the class: it turned out to me very small bits of cheese, some crackers, etc. (we wish wed eaten more before driving out there from San Diego). The lady who led the class, in our opinion, talked excessively about her own preferences and experiences instead of focusing on the wines we were tasting. Overall, once again, we were very pleased.

Dont waste your time if youre wanting to visit more wineries. They quoted us a 40 minute wait. After an hour and a half they finally seated us. Then told us it was going to be another 45 minutes for our food to come. All the way from AZ and we missed out on so many other wineries we came to see.if they were honest about the wait time up front we could have made our own decision instead of feeling like were being held hostage here. Unfortunately while we were waiting we gave them our money for wine tasting. The wine wasnt even worth the wait.

Great wine tasting experience in Temecula. We were part of a wine tour and spent about an hour tasting the wines of the vineyard. I have only been to this winery once... it was for a Living Social wine tasting class, which was helpful to my understanding of what to look for in a wine. They even explained bottle characteristics from the cork to the punt (I didnt even know that was what the indentation on the bottom of a wine bottle was called until this class). I enjoyed the foods they paired with the wines we sampled, also. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. After the class, they generously offered additional tastings to the class. The wines I tried were good - but I did not find them memorable. Regardless, I do think they are a quality business establishment and will return to try the wine again. Every year is different :)

Our family came from out of state and friends from Northern California love coming to Oak Mountain for each of their visits. Worst customer service I have ever experienced with a winery. Joined their premium cave club membership which gives you X bottles and a wine barrel. At the end, had nine bottles to pick up and the barrel. It took about half a year for them to a) find the barrel and b) fix the name plate, which were said out when we originally joined. When we arrived, they said we were unable to even try the wines we were choosing for the nine bottles, but we could re-join a membership if we wanted. No servers were helpful, and management was beyond uncooperative. I will not be returning, and I implore others to also boycott. If Oak Mountain wants to talk to me about this review, please do.

My wife and I are wine snobs and I would put their wine up against any other winery in the state. We love big bold reds and that is one of their specialties. We have been all over CA to countless tasting rooms and wineries and this is hands down our favorite winery in CA and we have been dozens of times despite not living in the vicinity. Well, a few months ago I met some friends there because their cousin was playing in a band called Abrakadabra. I had never been there and I must say it was so beautiful. Oak Mountain has a certain atmosphere that encourages people to meet and talk to each other as well as enjoying great wines. My wife Jill and I have been members since 2010. The best wineries know that you first have to make great wine; and second, have a warm, friendly, inviting staff to serve and promote them. Oak Mountain gets the highest marks on both counts. Steve is an excellent wine maker. He has such a broad selection of both whites and reds that we always have a tough time choosing. The result? More wine, yay! What we find amazing is that each and every one of the wines is produced to the highest standards. Each time we visit we come home with different selections. The result? Bartenders are great (that’s why 2 stars), but as we were sitting outside on the Terrace enjoying wine and food. The blonde tour lady interrupted our conversation apologizing that she has to start her tour at the terrace because it’s shaded. We said of course not a problem, and continued with our conversation. But then she basically yelled at us for continuing to talk. Was very rude about it too. And we weren’t yelling, we were simply having a quiet conversation. Worse winery. Dont ever sign up for membership! The policy changes every 5 minutes. The membership includes so many glasses per month but sometime they attempt to put charges on stuff that is part of the membership. The place closes too early and earlier then stated on the web site. We are limited on when we can go so now the new change is we are only allowed to have 1 glass per day from our membership. Im not driving all the way out there for 1 glass. Terrible customer service. They really dont care! One made us pay and then walked away without allowing us to tell her what we wanted. The wine is amazing, but the food and service in the cafe is beyond horrible. Slow to no service. Food has no taste (how do you mess up a salad?) And several choices werent even available. We spent 500.00 and could have gotten the equivalent at Mc Donalds if we brought our own food. Very noisy, but no music.
