Nucleus is an art gallery that caters to more modern artists in the genre of pop culture, anime, and local flavor artists.A nice, clean esthetic that provides a wonderful space to display the art. There are two stories. Enough room to display many different artists, which switch out on a regular basis.There are also meet and greets as well as signings. Depending on the artists, the crowds show up to meet people they admire.Great place to peruse and buy art.

So I knew about this place from a previous art exhibition that they had a few months ago but went down today as they had a another hour exhibition I wanted to check out.Very friendly staff and quiet place has a very big open art gallery where you can observe and take pictures and in one case interact with one of the pieces of arts that they had.I will say both times Ive gone Ive been rather happy with their presentation and the way everything is on display and they also have a number of art prints available to buy from various shows of the past as well as local artists and talents.Would recommend checking what the current exhibition is and checking it out if you are interested and definitely looking online to see if they have any art pieces you can get in person.

A great gallery that manages to get great artist and speakers for their panels. They have a nice set up for their events. Lots of parking around the area. Only complaint is that they need to be more organized with their panels. People I have met all seem to have the same complaint about their lack of organization in handling big crowds.

Always a nice place to go to. I’m not really a art person but going here build a great appreciation to it.The rear room is always diverse with different art exhibits. They do lots of sign ins and meet and greats. I have purchased some great art work from goonies and air bender. Great gift ideas for the art/comic/nerd in your family.

A fantastic Gallery to stop in at anytime. When you enter you are welcomed by fantastic art books, zines, pins and so much more. Beyond the floating divide will be the current show in progress. Theres even more in the back with another gallery space upstairs. Didnt go on an opening night, but will have to in the future.We got to the gallery by the 78 LA Metro bus coming from Union station. We went on a weekend so no traffic and very quick.

They’re doing an Omori exhibit right now- which I saw completely by chance while driving. I loved their collection of omori sketches but didn’t end up buying any of the omori merch because a lot of them were sold out… bought an art book instead!It was kind of crowded so I didn’t get a full view of everything, but can’t wait to go again

Love coming here for art events like Yakuza, Gravity Falls, Atlus and many more. Such a nice venue to buy art, merch and such from events that were held. Great venue to look at art pieces and meet people. Staff are so kind and friendly. It is such a good venue.

Oh the memories and experiences. Linda is such a great coordinator. She makes the events and experiences run as smoothly as possible.I’ve been to about 10 events since discovering nucleus and they’ve always treated us with kindness, respect, and have welcomed us. The art that gets printed here and displayed is amazing and there are always new things to see. I can’t wait for the next show that I’ll be going to. Some of the ones I’ve done are the owl house, Rebecca sugar, duck tales, chicken run and amphibia and they all had great fun.

Nucleus is an art gallery that appears relatively small initially, but contains a large amount of pieces, including an upstairs section. We came while they were having the Yakuza exhibit, and the tattoo designs were extremely impressive to say the least.

If youre walking around Main Street Alhambra, this is a cant-miss spot.Cute little art store in the front, gallery in the back. The gallery rotates to a different artist every month or so, and Ive been very impressed by the artists theyve been featuring. They often have anime and Disney themed art. If you miss a month, they sometimes put the leftovers in the room upstairs.Im not the kind of person who pays hundreds of dollars for art, but they also have stickers and prints and other small items more in my price range.

The theme art shows are always a big hit here. I knew through Facebook about nearby events. They also did one with Disney before too. Lots of movie themes or in this case anime themes.Small venue area but has a good vibe or energy when you have crowds of people coming in.Its a free event and if your nearby Alhambra than its not a bad night event. You are allowed to take pictures and buy art posted on the walls.Overall enjoy the art themes.

Great gallery to just walk around and check out art. In a great location that is on main Street with a lot of stores so if youre just in the area walking around you can just walk in and browse. Highly recommend going if you follow certain artists or unique art. Can go online on their website to see what galleries that are being showcased at the moment or in the future.Staff can be kind of quiet though. I asked them about their art prints and they just pointed in a certain direction didnt really feel like I was being helped. A good amount of merchandise to shop from keychains to pins, art books and art prints.

The first time I buy print by artist internationally is from Gallery Nucleus. There was some small issue happened. But the staffs are super friendly and they did everything they could to help me out. I dont have many experience of buying stuff from USA but Gallery Nucleus does supply excellent service to their customers. The packaging condition is also pretty good. I absolutely recommend people check out this gallery.

Great small gallery with a good selection of art books and enamel pin(yes please) and prints. The exhibits are freaking awesome and change pretty often and they have frequent events and a good online presence. I highly recommend stopping by if youre anywhere remotely close by as there are places to eat nearby . It makes a nice outing to go see the artwork and then go eat.Just go!Edit: Yeah, still good!ReEdit: Google keeps asking for updates just for me to tell yall this place is still good. If I could Id give them no stars, they completely mismanaged the guillermo del toro event. They knew ahead of time that he wasnt going to show up to the event and waited to tell us that he wasnt going to show up after we had spent money on the art book that he was going to sign. Whats even more infuriating is that he was later spotted at a Netflix party on Hollywood perfectly fine that night. We took time out of our day for this event only to be left disappointed. I want a refund for the book that I bought, I honestly only went for del toro as did pretty much everyone there. Worst experience Ive ever had with this type of event. Would NOT recommend this gallery if youre attending a panel or signing, chances are theyll wait til the last minute to let you know the person you went for wont even be there.

A great gallery for pop culture and illustration. They almost always have a cool show going on. Daily admission is usually free. Tons of great places to eat around here too. If youre going to a gallery opening day be sure to get there very early since its a small gallery. Theyve very hard-working and kind staff.

They hold art shows here all the time. Ive been to various themed events here and appreciate that we have one of these places locally. They sell unique shirts and modern art prints. The staff is friendly and courteous and Ive never had a hard time finding a parking spot. If youre into this kind of stuff, then youre in for a treat. Make sure to also check out the upper floor, as it can be easy to miss.

Awesome little gallery/store located in Alhambra on a pretty busy Main St.It may seem like theres no parking but just go back around, and there are several lots available. Just dont park in the one that says Bank only :PI first came here for the Alice in Wonderland show and it was well-curated plus the pieces were just plain awesome. Since then Ive come back at least 20 times because their events are so varied and frequent. Love their video game collaborations and one of my favorite artists MALL from the Philippines has shows here regularly!

Went to this gallery for the opening of a Disney show last night. The staff was super friendly, the little shop up front was stocked with awesome Disney merch. They had a great system for buying prints, but at least for the Disney show it definitely paid to get their early and wait in line if you wanted to buy anything.

I love the gallery very, very much. Its calming and wonderful and people who take an interest congregate there and make connections, and its just wonderful. My best experience here was during the Critical Role gallery show; it was a night Ill never forget. The art community that shows up really make it worth it.Today specifically I wanted to quickly pop by and try getting my friend a birthday gift; I showed up during the lunch break, and came back when it was supposed to be over @12. Sadly, nobody was there. I waited about 10 minutes before deciding to leave. This isnt that big of a deal, but the lack of punctuality was disapointing. This doesnt break my relationship with the nucleus AT ALL, Im going to keep going, but if you ever find yourself wanting a gift for an art enthusiast fast, definitely consider planning to do things in advance when theres no time crunch

Small, but lively gallery. They have several events here with impressive guests, but lack any kind of event organizational skills. They are never prepared for the crowds big or small and are unable to even organize a line consistently.I attended an opening where they changed the way people lined up three times. Each time I was put behind people that arrived much later than myself.

I truly appreciate having such a great local art space in my neighborhood. The constant rotation of galleries by various artists keeps me going there every few weeks to check out what is new. The staff are super chill and I love the policy that allows us to take pictures of the exhibits to share later online. Would highly recommend this place!

Nice store. Small gallery. I went for the Disney fan art exhibit. There is plenty of prints for sale in the front of the gallery. There is also a small upstairs section with more art on display.There is parking in the back of Alhambra Place. You can just walk from there. There is also one hour parking in the front of the gallery if youre lucky you might find a spot.

The variety of art prints available is fantastic. From Disney princesses to Marvel and DC, to Anime and Manga, as well as many other artists, the LE and AP prints, books, and graphic novels make for an enjoyable art shopping experience for pop culture art collectors. Many of the prints and books are signed by the artists. This month they had book sales, so there was a vast selection of art and childrens books on display. In the past, I purchased a Mulan themed framed watercolor from their lovely curated Mulan exhibition at the gallery. This trip I found a tote bag by Junko Mizuno that was an exclusive for her 2020 exhibition, Ravenous Delights. They also have a selection of pins, cards, even deluxe playing cards (Avengers, Harry Potter, or Mandalorian themed) and other gift items available.

Nucleus is a small gathering place in L.A. for the art loving community. They have exhibited both local artists and artists from abroad; they offer an extensive collection of original contemporary, illustrated, graphic, commercial, and narrative art. The art gallery has two levels and it is spacious, clean, well lit and organized. Staff are nice and friendly. Overall, I recommend you visit this gallery.

Cant see lower mounted gallery pieces when its crowded. Not well prepared for large openings, even when tickets are required. They should space out the ticket times for their small gallery viewing space, which isnt much bigger than their store or upstairs VIP area.

Nucleus is one of my favorite galleries and its a great store as well. The shows subjects range tend to touch on popular culture and can always be trusted to be interesting. Theres also prints galore for sale, and t-shirts and gifts available in the front. Dont forget to check the gallery space upstairs as well. Photography is not only allowed, but encouraged as they understand the value of good social media buzz.
