Dr. Patel really cares about making sure his patients have a stress-free experience and will exceed any and all expectations.Matter of fact it was so great that in the course of a year I feel the need to write positive reviews online maybe 3-5 times a year. Was there today to get snipped, and was incredibly nervous about the procedure. Dr. Patel, his assisting resident, and the medical assistant (Charlie) were very friendly and professional. I barely felt a thing. I could feel some pressure, but never any pain at all. They took the time to explain everything, constantly asked if I was comfortable and without pain. They even have a TV in the background with soothing music and video tours of international scenery. Couldnt have had a nicer or more professional experience.
Dr. Patel makes a somewhat uncomfortable experience completely comfortable. His website is informative and complete, and I loved how I could set up my appointment online. The day of the procedure he was very personable and professional, everything went quickly, and in no time I was done. An incredibly easy procedure with almost no discomfort. Doctor Patel and his staff were very considerate, informative, and professional. I just had my Vasectomy done by Dr Patel and his team maybe 30 minutes prior to me writing this review. Going into this, I was beyond nervous and considering canceling my appointment out of nerves. I went in and was immediately brought back to the room. Dr Patel sprayed a cleaner to the area and said that will be the worst part. He was not kidding. All this worrying and the worst part was being sprayed with a water bottle. This honestly couldn’t have been more than a 10 minuet COMPLETELY painless procedure. Dr Patel is old school in the way he has extreme respect for his patients. He goes out of his way to make sure your comfortable, easy to talk with, and will walk you completely out the building. Thank you Dr for making a scary procedure quick, painless and easy.
Doctor Patel is good humored and easy to communicate with. He was able to work with my schedule. The procedure itself was very fast and very comfortable, I didnt experience any pain during or post. I was nervous about the whole procedure, looked at videos and reading about it didnt help. But I found Northern Cali Vasectomy online and read the review and gave it a shot. Set up the appointment online, knew I wanted to get it done so didnt need the consultation. Arrive to my appointment right on time as I walked in Dr. Patel welcome me in and assured me it was going to be quick and painless as possible. Felt comfortable after talking to him and his staff. Really outstanding people there! My vasectomy only took maybe 12min... It was fast and easy. The worse part was just the med jet. Feels like a small rubber band snap..before I knew it I was done. I was able to drive myself there an home. Did take Tylenol extra strength to be sure. But didnt need. Recovery was easy, had slight dole pain here and there, like maybe twice a day. Nothing that cause any alarm. NO ice packs needed, I didnt have any swelling. Back to work on the 7th day. Took it slow but by day 10 I was back to my normal work routine. I highly recommend him.
Like everyone else I had a great experience with Dr. Patel. He was able to schedule an appointment the same week I called. I lost the the sample tube when I was moving. I contacted Dr. Patel for a replacement and about 3-4 days later I had my Replacement( I live in Reno). If you have problems at the dentist with the anaesthesia not working I would mention it to Dr. Patel. He might need to use a little more numbing spray to work through the whole process.
Dr. Patel made the experience of getting a vasectomy as enjoyable as it could be. He has a great sense of humor and makes you feel comfortable. During the procedure, we just talked and it was over within half an hour without notice. Post procedure there was very little discomfort the day of and it was pretty much gone the next day. By the 3rd day there was no discomfort or pain whatsoever. I recommend Patel to anyone looking a vasectomy. I drove 3 hours each way to his office and I’m very grateful I did.
My experience with Dr. Patel was excellent. He answered all of my questions during the phone consultation and opened the door for additional questions anytime prior to my appointment. When I got there, I felt comfortable. He not only provided additional details about the procedure, but we also engaged in friendly conversation. The actual procedure was rather painless, maybe a 2 (max 3) out of 10. That rubber band snap feeling for the anesthetic is like a tiny rubber band and light snap. Nothing at all like I built up in my head. The procedure itself took 15-20 mins. I was very comfortable. This is much better than I would have ever thought. Id recommend this to my brothers or friends if they were interested, but none are. So I totally recommend this to you. I would seriously pay double what he currently charges for this experience. Recovery is going well. I hardly feel anything, just a slight irritation, and no pain. I have never met Dr. Patel, my wife found him on the internet. Everything I am saying, i am being 100% sincere. I do not think it would be possible to have a better experience of stranger handling my balls. Thank you Dr. Patel!
Worst part is the anxiety on the way. The madajet lido spray is a such an amazing concept. Felt like my nuggets were flicked then that was it. In 5 min it was done. I felt nothing, no “tugging and pulling”. Thank you Dr Patel for such an easy experience. Im icing the nuggies now cause they are achy but nothing bad. I drove there myself.

I would highly recommend Dr. Patel to anyone considering a vasectomy. The facility is clean and easy to locate. The procedure was relatively painless and surprisingly very quick. Afterwards I had minimal discomfort that was easily treated with Tylenol. After about 1 week I was already back to sports but had to take it easy at first. Various times I would get an occasional mild/dull groin ache depending on how I was sitting or doing a prolonged activity however that has fully resolved after 2-3 months. All back to normal! Well worth it!

Where we live, there are very few options for vasectomy doctors, and none of them left us with a very good impression. (The bigger urologist group has a 3-star rating and many poor reviews, and is close to twice as costly.)Because Northern California Vasectomy is so current with digital communication, is far more affordable than other doctors, and the procedure might be the only time you see Dr. Patel face-to-face, it all feels like its not legit just because thats not what were used to with doctors and medical offices in general. BUT IT IS SO LEGIT! Read all of those attributes again—what youve found is the way vasectomies should be.I communicated via email (so easy) with Dr. Patel to set up my husbands appointment. They did a quick phone consultation and we were all set. My husband drove himself to and from his procedure appointment, and the drive was longer than the procedure itself. He said that bedside manner couldnt have been better. He also didnt even need pain meds—he took them as a precaution but never really felt more than slight discomfort for his entire recovery.Follow-up was similarly as simple. Dr. Patel makes himself very available to his patients via phone, email, or even text. Sending in the follow-up sample was just as simple, and a few days later we got the all clear.Honestly, if all doctors operated this way, men would be far less afraid of getting a vasectomy. Weve had many friends go through this before and they are all butt-hurt that they didnt find Dr. Patel for themselves.

I was freaked out by the thought of having this procedure, but Dr. Patel and the staff were so friendly and great to work with, that everything was a breeze! There was plenty of communication, and everyone who works there is someone youd want to have a beer with. My wife said that during the procedure, she could hear us laughing while she was waiting in the lobby, haha!

Kids are cool, but they’re expensive and the world probably doesn’t need many more. We decided one was enough for our family. That’s where Dr. Patel comes in. Couldn’t have been easier. From the time I walked in to the time I walked out was less than 15 minutes…I spent more time afterwards waiting in the In N Out drive-thru. Procedure was basically painless and aside from a small bit of discomfort the next day I had no ill effects. 3 months later I sent in my sample and there were no sperm - mission accomplished. I was quite nervous before the procedure, but Dr. Patel was incredibly professional and reassuring throughout the entire process. To my surprise, the procedure was almost painless — honestly, I’ve experienced more pain from stubbing my toe! Dr. Patel’s expertise and the clinic’s welcoming environment made what could have been a stressful experience very manageable. If you’re considering this procedure, this is the place to go!

2024-04-25 20:29:03Very polite, professional, and patient. My one complaint(not on Dr Patel but the process) is every review I saw said it feels like a light rubber and snap. NOPE. it feels exactly like what youd think it feels like, but it was quick and the pain went away pretty fast. My next problem, is apparently I have a higher resistance to the anesthesia because I had to get 3 shots on each side. By the time of the second shot I was numb enough that it didnt hurt but that is something to note. The Dr talks to you about your interests the entire time to try to keep you distracted, which was nice, and once its done they have you sit there for a minute to make sure youre good. Once I stood up, it all kind of hit me at once what just happened and I got very light headed so they had me sit down for 5 or 10 minutes, got me a fan to blow cool air on my face and have me some water. Very patient. Dr Patel was great

2022-07-14 04:39:12SUMMARY: GO GET A VASECTOMY from Dr. Patel! 18 mins is all it takes❤️The entire team is both professional, compassionate and just all around nice human beings. Zero pain post procedure, minor discomfort for a couple of days (which is 100% my doing). Your also taking an active role in your family planning and not leaving up to your spouse to take pills 💊 daily or other methods to prevent pregnancy, this is so easy, so why not!Pro Tips:1). Follow Dr. Patel’s instructions and read the FAQs2). Just schedule it asap (if your the type to over research like me, the longer the wait the more anxiety your going to cause yourself!3). Dont read other reviews for vasectomy procedures or outcome results/pictures, I did and was like what the….turned out those are from the more involved procedure, Dr.Patel’s no scalpel method is the way to go for sure!4). Do not, do not, do not do think you can be 100% normal post procedure like me. The numbing agent makes you feel invincible for a bit…as a father to little kids boy did I mess this one up, just take a few days and you’ll be great, even my over activity didn’t cause anything other than minor discomfort5). Don’t get psyched out about the pain, about the possible embarrassment, there was no pain and the entire team is so welcoming I never felt uncomfortable and simply felt like they cared about me!6). Full disclosure you will have weird twinges (best way I can describe) of discomfort for a few weeks…I’m 3 months post procedure and I would have ZERO idea this was done, for the first month I felt things shifting but just different, not painful.7). Sex is amazing afterwards! With zero chance of pregnancy it’s just more fun!8). Tell your family and friends, talk to your sons and daughters, this is just part of family planning, it should not be taboo.9). Healing 🩹 time for the small entry points, maybe 7 days and then you could not find a mark, it’s like it didn’t happen.If I think of anything I forgot I’ll edit/update.

2023-09-08 19:04:53Dr. Patel was great! I had a hard time finding the right doctor because my age made it pretty difficult, but Dr. Patel was the only one to understand my situation. My appointment was scheduled quick and once I arrived the whole procedure took only about 15 minutes. Dr. Patel and his staff made sure you were comfortable. It was painless (as long as you make sure to rest for 2 days) and now 3 months later I can say Im all clear!

2023-07-31 00:57:20Dr. Patel is amazing! It was so easy to call, schedule, and pay for the procedure. The whole thing only takes like 15 minutes and you can barely feel anything. We had a nice short chat about our favorite tv shows and then I asked how much longer and he said we were done! So worth it for the peace of mind.

2023-07-15 03:07:03I’ve been super impressed with Northern California Vasectomy and Dr. Pastel’s team. I was searching online trying to find a place to get a vasectomy and it was super hard to find a doctor since I don’t have a tradition medical insurance and am a cash patient. A friend referred me to Dr. Patel and within a few days of contacting them they offered me appointment times to get the procedure done. I loved how easy it was to complete the paperwork and get the procedure. Everything went flawless with the procedure and it was really easy to connect with Dr. Patel and to feel comfortable. You can tell he is a true expert in his field. His team provided personalized care and went above and beyond to take care of me after the procedure. Dr. Patel has called and text me personally to see how I am recovering. I’m extremely happy with the choice I made.
