Our group had such a blast! I’ve done escape rooms in the past and this experience exceeded expectations by far! We did Condemned 2 and all of the rooms/puzzles were so well thought out and challenging. Customer service and communication were amazing and we wish we lived in the area so we could do the rest of the rooms!

This is our fourth unique escape room destination and this has to be one of our favorites so far. We will definitely be back. Driving into the place - its a tiny bit disconcerting, but stay strong because this place is worth it. Not only a fantastic room (we did the Fox Tail Saloon) to challenge us, we had the BEST customer service. Your clue master was over and beyond amazing NCEC! She was amazing, charming, and the perfect dash of comedy and sass. Loved it. The entire point of all of us, well for our family was to have fun - and with a live person on-site it added an unexpected fun element different from our past escape rooms that I thoroughly enjoyed. NorCal Escape company also offers an escape truck to come to you - which sounded very cool. And I highly recommend this for company or team bonding - its fascinating to see how people react to different types of problem solving and being under a time-constraint. Take the trek to Yuba City - you will LOVE it! ALSO a stupid side note - the BEST intro video to start your escape room (so dang funny - great work).

Condemned 2 is fantastic! Our group had 2 people with 40+ games and 5 with 1-5 rooms under our belts. All of us loved the puzzles and the game room design in Condemned. The puzzles are absolutely unique but they also make sense. We had a great time and Jamie was a fantastic host and explained the room and any questions we had afterwards. Definitely 5+ star experience!

We had a group of 4 people, one adult and 3 teens. The saloon room was very challenging for the kids. With a little more guidance they could have solved it on their own. Being thorough and communication with your group is a must. Dress appropriately! Jeans and sneakers are your best bet, dont wear flip flops.

Loved it! Friendly staff and great attention to details. If your looking for a challenging group activity try this place. Recommended for ages 13+. Tried this for my sons bday (we had previously done a mini version at the Christmas stroll) and it proved a bit difficult for us. You MUST work as a team. There are clues hidden everywhere. Look, look and then look again! We had a great experience overall and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Hands down, 110% fun! From start to finish the whole escape room experience is one for the record books. My family of 3 took on the Escape Truck (4 of 5) level and almost won. The owner Jamie really gets into making your experience special from the moment you walk in. The game itself was challenging but surprisingly fun to work through. We will be back, and I will be highly recommending NorCal Escapes Co. to all of my friends and family. Thanks for the amazing time!

Ive always wanted to experience an escape room and with this being my 1st time I wasnt disappointed. The owner was awesome and the experience was awesome. The rooms were great and had many different puzzles. We had a group of ten and everyone played a part. The only thing I would have changed is maybe only had 6 or 8 in my party. At times I found my self bumping into people trying to move about which is not due to the size of the rooms but people in our group standing in the path ways. I highly recommend NorCal Escape Co. We all had a blast.

We did the Billy the Kid room and it was a lot of fun. Its more of a treasure hunt than an escape room. We had 2 kids with us, 10 and 14 years old. It wasnt too hard but wasnt overly easy.

We did the virtual room with friends across the country. It was so well done. I wasn’t sure what to expect for a virtual escape room since you can’t feel around, split up, or look around on your own. But the cameraman and Cory were both excellent! Nothing was done for us, but they worked well to show us things we needed to pay attention to. Great experience; I highly recommend it.

Great, challenging, fun and realistic. NorCal Escape Co. has wonderful puzzles that required teamwork. We did two rooms back to back: won the first (Saloon) and lost the second (Condemned2). Our group has done 3 escape rooms at other locations and have beaten all of them; this was the first we didnt make it. Such a great challenge!The rooms look amazing and are built very realistically. I love that the different puzzles rely on different strengths of each person. There were great surprises, trap doors, and use of teamwork. The staff was incredibly funny, engaging and helpful.We will be back for the next room and for Condemned3!

At first I was iffy on going since its almost an hour drive for me, but I am so glad I went! One of the best escape rooms Ive done. The craftsmanship is incredible in the Saloon room. I cannot wait to return and try out Condemned 2. The staff is also amazing and super friendly. Our whole group couldnt talk about anything but how awesome the room was on the ride home.

This place is really great for parties, or even just going out with your friends. However, be aware that if youre in a small group, you will be put together with other people. I would check their website to make sure the amount of people youre with is the right amount because merging groups can take away from your experience. Otherwise, this place is fantastic. I wish there were more rooms to try! Of the two rooms at the moment, I would say I enjoyed condemned more than Saloon, but theyre both great experiences.

My family went together through Condemned 2 and each of us were so impressed with the creative and immersive experience we had. Every person was able to contribute and feel like they were involved but it was far from easy! Even the two that had gone through the room before were able to experience new things and we weren’t able to escape (though we were so close!). The staff were extremely helpful and engaging (thank you Chase!). I would highly, highly recommend this hidden gem of Yuba City and we all can’t wait to go back!!!

They do an awesome job of designing the rooms and creating challenging puzzles, while making sure every member of your team has a job to do! We tried the Fox Tail Saloon last year and it was so much fun we couldn’t resist going back. Tonight we played Condemned 2 “The box”. It had just the right amount of creepy and it definitely keeps you on your toes. We highly recommend them to anyone!!! And Jamie was super awesome! He went above and beyond to make sure we understood everything and was incredibly helpful. Thank you for making my birthday today a memorable one!!!

My family did the Condemned 2 and had a total blast! It was our first time doing an escape room, so we didnt know what to expect, and jumped right in to a difficult one. We were split into two teams to start, then met up together in the middle room. I was a bit worried about it being scary, but it was not. The clock ticking down and the eerie voice over the intercom helped keep our adrenaline up. The rooms were very cleverly designed to be challenging and fun. I was worried about feeling anxious about being trapped, but I did not at all get that feeling cuz it was fun the entire time and we knew we could ask for clues at any time. When the game was finished, we were all smiles. I definitely recommend this escape game at this facility. The owners are young and fun. We will be back!

Just played Condemned 2 via a remote avatar with a few escape room enthusiast friends of mine from around the world. It was a delightfully creepy room with good puzzles, sets and fair share of scary elements! I was impressed with the translation from a live game to an avatar driven remote game and it held up really well. We were able to collaborate as a team and experience the anxiety of trying to save our friend from a maniacal serial killer! Great way to spend an afternoon in lockdown. I bet the game is even better in real life!

This place is SO good. We played Foxtail Saloon and Condemned 2 and I was absolutely blown away. These guys build all their stuff themselves, and it shows in the quality of the puzzles and theatric elements. There are a lot of small touches that bring the experience together, and in Condemned 2 they have mastered the split team escape room. Plus the owners are super friendly! I will definitely be back to play the Truck -- if you are at all on the fence, do yourself a massive favor and spend an evening at NorCal Escape.

I booked Condemned 2 virtual escape game for my sons birthday and what a fantastic, memorable experience for them! He and his college-age friends are spending time at home in various states around the country due to COVID-19, and we had a group of 6 (including Dad) join in on the fun! We werent quite sure how it would work but it was even better than we could have imagined: it felt like we were part of a movie: a cameraman followed Corey, the hostage, as he navigated the space and we all joined forces to free him. Incredible number and variety of challenges that led to the ultimate solution. Proud to say that we solved it! Get a group together and do this--affordable, fun, hassle free AND safe!

This escape room was surprisingly very good compared to the others Ive been to since its located in Yuba of all places. These rooms tend to be something that should be enjoyed with friends so you dont have to work together with a bunch of strangers. Theres also groupons for the fox tail saloon available so you can save some money.

FINALLY! A themed escape room that stays on theme!As a very frequent escape-room-attendee, I have seen many rooms over the course of their existence. NorCal Escape Co. has outdone themselves with their Foxtail Saloon. The room and every detail down to the smallest puzzle is ALL ON THEME; they put so much time and effort into this room that you wont ever break the 4th wall and in stead, stay submerged in the era and story line. Too often, escape rooms have a theme which get shredded once their puzzles start to float off theme. This one didnt float once. Well done, brothers. Well be back to do your other rooms soon!
