Great little store in El Sereno. The place feels like a hangout stop, friendly atmosphere and great selection of skates. Their own merch is cool too. The owner will explain and let you try gear until you are 100% sure. These are the stores that we need to support!

Amazing customer service!!!! I came with the interest of getting my first inlines and the owner was quick to deliver with many options on brands and helpful knowledge. Its clear to tell that hes both experienced and passionate about the craft, and can lay down some wisdom without intimidating a beginner/aspirational. My first walk in felt very welcoming and I definitely dont want it to be my last. Even past rollerblades, there are all sorts of products, its a store thats stocked with a variety of items, the store looks like eye-candy tbh, its worth checking out!

This was a gem of a find in the Alhambra area. I was looking for a local skate shop and was so glad to find this place. Alan was friendly and super helpful. I wanted to get some Luminous wheels for my inline skates, and he hooked me up. It’s a small shop on the second floor of the building, but he’s got a lot of goodies in stock. Check it out if you’re in the SGV.Parking is on the street along the curb.

This place is so great -- i came in with a few questions about my current setup and a potential second pair of skates and walked out happily with a pair of roces nils janson storms. alan was so friendly and helpful and let me try on 5 pairs of skates before i finally found the pair for me. i highly recommend trying on aggressive skates in person especially as a woman because the foot widths are radically different, even within the same brand.

Love the apparel here. I came for inline skates and found a bunch of hats, hoodies and Tees that are unique, well made and had some fresh designs I really hadnt seen before. They even screen print their own brands right on site! Plus, the owners Brian, Jovany & Frank were super dope and kicked me down a Nickel & Dime Tote. Will certainly be back to this hidden El Sereno gem. I am for sure featuring this place on my IG @1stop_LA. Thank a lot!

This place is awesome, they had a very cool skateboard art show just recently. I love that they carry rollerblades and skateboards something different for people to enjoy. They also do all their own screen printing in house, they did live screen printing during the art show they had. Very cool new shop in El Sereno very much needed on this side of town. If your in the area its a must to stop by and check out.

I love the concept of the store with there limited edition merchandise and designs! They carry unique merchandise for inline skates and skate boards.The store owners also do their own screen printing in house so you create your very own one off designs.They have held art shows that promotes local artists in the Los Angeles area with one off designs you can purchase.Swing by the shop or order online you wont be disappointed.

I’ve been searching for a skate shop to tune up my rollerblades. I went to a few and found out that Nickel and Dime is the only one that deals with rollerblades, instead of rollerskates (like most skate shops).Alan is patient, kind, honest, and super personable. When I came with my blades to get looked at he didn’t mess around - told me exactly what to do.As long I’m in Southern California, I will take my blades to Alan!

I was really happy with my experience shopping (from out of state) with Nickel and Dime Skate shop. I was looking for some Kaltik K Jr Skates and after looking around, saw that they had some in stock. Ordered them along with their black hoodie! Someone from the shop even texted me shortly after I placed the order to ask if I was ok with changing the color of the skates based on their inventory.

This place is great! The store is nicely laid out and the staff are super knowledgeable and friendly. I never felt rushed when visiting, quite the opposite in fact.The merch here is also great as they have a nice selection of skates and skateboards, and they have a lot of unique collaborations with different artists which run in their line or apparel and skate gear.Its a great addition to the El Sereno neighborhood and LA area, and they do a lot to support the local artists in the community. Even if you don’t board or blade, but you’re in the area, this place is definitely worth checking out!

We stopped by this shop on the way out of LA and did not regret it at all. They have really creative designs for shirts, hoodies, and hats at very reasonable prices. The owners were super friendly and chatted with us as they helped look for our sizes. In my opinion this store was a much better experience than going along Melrose and Fairfax. Stop by if you can. You won’t regret it!

I am completely brand new to skating and was looking for a local shop in LA so I can get advice and try on a couple different skates, and coming up completely dry within a 2-hour drive, until I found Nickle and Dime. Alan was super helpful and supporting and got me going in no time!

So happy this shop exists! The best products and inventory, all the newest stuff out, to be able to see and try things on in person is huge. I’d been wanting Oysi frames for a long time but was intimidated by the spacer installation, they have all the colors and sizes and Alan hooked it up! He setup the spacers plus gave me a tutorial so now Ive got it down. I recommend this shop enough!

Great shop. For a small place they have everything you need. I was looking for a setup for my 3 year old and they had a complete skateboard that was perfect for her. They also had all the pads I needed and a helmet for me. So happy to have a great place like this nearby.

I bought impala roller skates 2 days ago from this store. It seems outside of store little ghetto. But, easy to find the store! I just parked on the street. They have a lot of different skates and skateboards along with street fashion clothings.I called more than 10 stores to find the skates. And this was the only store with the stock. So glad that i finally got it :) People are also very friendly and nice!

This store is filled with gear that has awesome and unique designs. The store offers a vast array of services as well. I go there every once in awhile to get some of their new designs! This place is so cool! they carry aggressive inline skates. Good to see a shop carry both rollerblades and skateboards. They screen print all their own products in house which is very cool nothing is mass produced very limited runs of designs. This shop also provides graphic services and screen printing services. A must see if your in the El Sereno area very cool staff friendly and helpful. They also had an art walk in front of their shop which was awesome to see them catering to art and community. I cant wait to see what else these boys have in store for the future.

Went in a couple of weeks ago with my fiancé. He went in looking for oysi frames for his blades. The owner helped us out and was very knowledgeable about them. He informed my fiancé some tips on installing and what wheel setup worked for him when he used those specific frames. We left with the frames, new wheels, and wax. Great service! We can’t wait to come back!

This store is great, it is in a growing neighborhood with tons potential. I ordered some merch online for my brother and everything came on time. I have also visited the store front, which is nothing like you would expect. The store front has such a great aesthetic and vibe, and the people working inside were all very welcoming and helpful. All in all, great company and store, I highly recommend visiting and checking it out.

This is my favorite hidden gem. They stay stocked in streetwear and art products you cant find anywhere else. I always get compliments on my pack leaders and four ground gear i wear out. My favorite thing Ive bought is a spray can candle. The guys here are always nice, you can talk to them for days. Mad respect to the crew here!
