We owned a very unique home in La Habra Heights, it had a 2800sf garage, the garage was bigger then the house. We knew it would take a special buyer and a special agent to convey the value. Ray is an amazing realtor! I was selling my house after owning it for nearly 36 years. It had been vacant for nearly 3 years, as my husband and I had made a hurried move across the country to be close to our daughters when he was diagnosed with terminal cancer.Now I needed to sell the house, without the help of my husband (a lawyer) or my long time realtor, who had retired. While back in La Habra cleaning out the house, along comes Ray and his daughter, selling Girl Scout cookies! I had certainly seen his name around town for years. I did ask two other realtors come in as well, but my daughter and I both just clicked with Ray. And, to top it off, he offered to finish cleaning out the remaining “junk” we couldn’t manage before we returned to the Boston area. And then he supervised the hiring of an exterior painter, a landscaper, and a cleaning lady. I paid those people directly, but Ray didn’t charge me anything, not even for removing the junk.We could not have had a smoother house sale. We had 3 offers in less than a week. Ray listened to me and I listened to him. I had spent money on some major repairs before listing, and I was adamant that I wasn’t doing anything else. I priced the house as a “fixer-upper” already, so if the home inspection showed problems, “oh well”. I told Ray to please make this abundantly clear to buyers so we wouldn’t be wasting anyone’s time. Of the offers, Ray strongly preferred one, as he felt the other two wouldn’t actually close for various reasons. I listened and agreed with his professional opinion.I will also say that normally I really, really oppose the idea of the same agent representing both buyer and seller, as I feel it creates a natural conflict of interest. However, after having worked with Ray for a number of weeks in preparing the house for sale, I realized that he was as ethical as I am (which is a lot) and would conduct himself accordingly, which he did. He represented the buyers, too, and there were no issues.The buyers Ray preferred were perfect! They had already qualified. They were brothers who had grown up in the area. Our neighbors will love them! The sale closed on time, in less than a month, and without a hitch. Five stars isn’t enough to describe Ray. He’s priceless!

We decided to sell our home of 32 years. We know many local realtors and talked with several about selling. Ray offered to come up to our house and give us some suggestions on what to do before listing. We hadnt even made a decision about who to list with, but he offered his time and thoughts for no charge. We had about 2 months worth of work needed to get the house ready were just starting it when Ray called with a possible buyer, willing to take the house as-is. The potential buyers did buy the house as-is at a price we were happy about. We never even had time to get a listing agreement in place. Ray trusted us and we certainly trusted him. We bought our house with Ray and experienced 5 star service. He and his staff are so easy and nice to work with. He helped us in the negotiating stage and through all the paperwork. The easiest of our house purchases and he always had our interest first in front of his, compared to the other 2 home purchases my wife and I made before Ray, where I felt the realtor was just try to sell me a house to get paid and move on to the next buyer. Once we decided to sell our home which had been a rental for 11 years, we took a year to update and improve the home to sell for the highest price possible.We interviewed four realtors once the home was ready for the market. Rays presentation was simple and succinct vs a big dog and pony show some realtors used. He demonstrated why he was the expert on homes above Whittier Blvd. We were able to confirm that he sold the most homes in La Habra of all realtors. We went with Ray based on his knowledge of the area, pricing of homes within the market and what the potential buyers would pay.Rays team held one open house and we had seven offers. After a bit of back and forth, we agreed to an offer that was $85K over the original asking price. The house closed in less than 30 days.We would recommend Ray to any buyer in La Habra and especially to those with a home to sell above Whittier Blvd. Ray is the real expert.
