Tried to work with this lender and unfortunately the Rep was terrible and uninformed. Constantly promised a price match and never delivered. I understand markets change and sometimes we need to move for better pricing to service our clients best interest. That did not mean we would not possibly do business in the future but when I decided to take it to another lender they refused to transfer the appraisal. They said they will only transfer if they decline the loan. Stay away from them, plenty of lenders out there with more integrity and better service.

NewFi was brought to my attention through Intuit Credit Karma in April 2023. I was very hesitant because honestly I didn’t have time or money to waste. But I finally took the plunge the end of May and now - July 5, our refinancing is completed 100%. I was very impressed with Eric, Glenda and the appraiser and the attorney who participated. I had already started recommending NewFi to others and will continue with to do so.

Never ending spam junk mail from their subsidiary Nexera Holding. They send mail claiming to be official information about your mortgage which is actually misleading garbage attempts to sell you a home warranty. I would like to send this mountain of obnoxious spam back to their office so they can see how annoying it is.

I was very happy with the entire experience for start to end. They got me a great rate, were very response and ended up saving me a ton of money. I worked with Stephanie Benton and she was very knowledgeable and quick to respond. I know very little about the refinance process and she did a lot to help educate me. I have dealt with a lot of lenders through the years and Eric Bankston is hands down the best Loan Manager I have ever dealt with. He had answers to my questions immediately and even dealt with me changing my mind several times with complete professionalism. He put the customer first throughout the process. I was skeptical at first but Eric was just the guy who was able to get me the answers and offer the CORRECT advice throughout the process and put me at ease.

He put together a better product for me, took the time to make sure it was what I was looking for and explained the differences. He and his loan processor Daisy turned the application around quickly for me knowing how important it was for me. I found Newfi through Credit Karma while shopping for refi loan. They had the best rate and lowest loan costs by far. I was contacted by mortgage consultant Brian Trapani and he led me through the rest of the process that went incredibly smoothly and without any issues. We closed right on time and well within the rate lock. I had a lot of questions during the process and Brian would promptly reply every time. I would highly recommend these guys!

NewFi Lending - Eric BankstonHis approach to the process is what made my overall refinancing experience truly exceptional. Been through several real-estate finance deals and this one I would say is just first-class. Eric was very friendly, professional, and at the same time super-efficient. Not a single aspect of the whole process that we had to re-work or anything. We actually closed I believe a week or two ahead of the original schedule. Pathetic experience for 2 reasons:1. They sent us a mortgage statement after selling our debt to another party without telling us! We ended up paying them accidentally and then I realized on my own that it was a redundant payment. Their responses were untimely, curt and unprofessional. They did however ended up transferring our extra pay to the new company.2. One of my close friends also had horrendous experience with Stephanie where they sat on the rate lock deliberately until its expiration post Feb 22, 2021. My friend was proactive but they deliberately slowed the process in anticipation of increased interest rates. Then they increased their interest rate significantly when the markets picked up, and left him high & dry. Not only that, they refused to refund his appraisal fees after refusing to commit to the original rate! My friend had to argue with them for his righteous refund, which then they did!

It was an amazing experience working with Andy, I would recommend him to everyone. The rates are the lowest out there. Andy was very responsive even on weekends and after work hours. We did one refinance and then purchase a new home with them, it’s a very good company!

Absolute worst experience with a lender! They took 4 months to tell me that they were not going to continue with my loan even though i qualified. They said i needed to lower my DTI so i said i will throw as much cash as need in to close and they still said no after another month. Dont waste months of your life dealing with the worst lender around!

I came across Newfie on a google search to finance the home I have been living in for 5 years. I am self employed and other lenders would not consider to add back depreciation to my income, so the calculations got me approved for a home valued at what I make in about 14 months. It was pretty discouraging. Then I called Andy Chau, and he said it was no problem to use my actual income and add back in the depreciation from my tax return. The process was pretty easy and closed on time. Andy was very good at communicating through the process, answering all my questions via email or phone, and coming up with a couple solutions to close the deal. I highly recommend Newfi.

STOP!!! DO not DO NOT use this lender. I have never in my life had such a horrible experience. The information that was requested was provided in a timely manner and sent via a secured portal. After me reaching out to my loan processor Paul Watkins on numerous occasions to ensure that they had any and all information requested on my end, it turns out for some reason the Title Company (Fidelity) did not receive the information or process the information that Newfi had (still not sure what was missed or how it got missed from either company). As a result i was told that they were not going to be able to process the loan. No phone calls to explain the disconnect, very impersonal and unprofessional and i would highly recommend that you seek another company to facilitate the needs of your loan. You will be glad you did.

Absolutely terrifying experience. If you want to be put through the ringer at a closing, this is the group you want to select. Currently we are dealing with a team of underwriters who have poured on additional conditions in the 11th hour, including demanding banking history for transfers between our personal accounts. We are supposed to close tomorrow or forfeit our $40k escrow and the Regional manager told our broker that, We are still trying to see if we can make it happen for tomorrow…. Docs will not be out tonight for sure..... This is after they caused the issue themselves. Oh, I almost forgot to mention they are charging us daily to lock our rate event though the loan should have closed on Monday. I knew I should have shopped around more. My local bank was able to beat the rate, the points, and the LTV.I am in complete agreement with the review left by Almir.

One star -- because at the gate they where spot on. Immediately provided a quote/estimate, revised the quote immediately upon request. Once we committed - the process and procedures disintegrated. 60 days later - we are past the funding date, at our doc signing (the notary didnt show at the first appointment - had to make a second appointment); property owners names are spelled wrong, & our previously notarized closing statement has changed twice - naturally, not in our favor. We researched the company and they checked out fine - our experience however indicates this couldnt be farther from the truth. Beware!
