Truly the best dental office! Dr. Markiewicz and her team are excellent. Brenda is usually my dental hygienist and she is truly amazing. Professional, thorough, and caring. She does a great job cleaning and making patients feel comfortable. I follow all of their recommendations and have improved my dental health greatly. Reception staff, including Halle and Kristen are also great with scheduling, insurance, and helping patients feel welcome. Corinne is another stand-out hygienist, kind, knowledgeable, and great at her job.Dr. Markiewicz will help you figure out your smile goals without pushing any products or services. I have never had a better dental experience before I started going here. A huge thank you to the Newbury Park Dental Arts Team, including Dr. M, Brenda, Corinne, Kristen, Halle, and other staff! I highly recommend this business to anyone looking for a new dentist. They also carry Cocofloss, toothpaste, and other products.

Dr. Markiewicz and her team provide care above and beyond what is traditionally available at a typical dental practice. Brenda, the hygenist, is thorough in her evaluation, tags areas of concern for Dr. Markiewicz, and provides a painfree cleaning. Dr. Markiewicz’s exam is comprehensive and informative. Ive been to Cristina Markiewiczs dental office 4 or 5 times now and Im so happy to know that every single person that works in that office is genuinely nice! I love going there, even though I hate getting dental work done! They even provide headphones with any kind of music youd like, to ease my anxiety about getting dental work done! I also have a Certitfied 5lb poodle Service Animal and Dr Cristina Markiewicz is very welcoming about bringing my Service Animal with me in the office! I am so grateful 🙏 to absolutely ALL of the people that work in the office, front to back, for being so kind and accepting of my little Service dog, Georgiana! It means the world to me!!!Dr. Cristina M is very skilled and even though Im scared, they put me at ease and I have never felt any pain in the chair!Im extremely happy with my new dentist and her entire staff!

I have only been to Newbury Park Dental Arts once, but I would definitely recommend based off my experience today! Dr. Markiewicz is incredible. She is SO personable, kind, and incredibly intelligent. She is an amazing medical professional because she is extremely curious and wants to find the root cause as opposed to slapping on a bandaid. I really appreciate her attention to detail. She had so many interesting observations from all of my x rays and photos that they took. She is not your typical dentist, she is so much more! I originally had an appointment to fix a chipped front tooth. However, the evening before my appointment I had an onlay in the back of my mouth fall off from my previous dentist. Even though reattaching my onlay wasnt a part of my original appointment, Dr. Markiewicz took care of it without question. Furthermore, the rest of the staff are also amazing. The front desk ladies are so sweet and welcoming. Their kindness is what starts you off on a good foot. This office is easy to reach and they truly try their best to get you in. All of the other staff are also very helpful, kind, and great at their jobs. Overall, I felt very comfortable and like I was in good hands at this office. After having horrible experiences with dentists in the past, Dr. Markiewicz has definitely restored my faith in dentistry!

Somehow I was charged $97 for simple dental cleaning ( preventative dental cleaning) with my PPO dental insurance. Why? I called Signa insurance they said it’s covered. I’m not supposed to be charged, they should know better (office has my insurance info). Im waiting for this charge to be returned.

I absolutely love Newbury Park Dental Arts and Dr. Markiewitz. I started going to her two years ago. She immediately recognized anatomical issues that were causing me to experience sleep apnea. I immediately started on a journey to grow my palate, which gave me more room. This has relieved all of my sleep apnea and related health symptoms. She’s been nothing short of amazing. Staff has been wonderful as well. After going to the same dentist for 15 years, this has been one of the best choices for my health I have made.

I have been a patient at Newbury Park Dental Arts for almost a year. Everyone I’ve encountered on staff is very friendly. My first appointment they took lots of pictures, X-rays, and even did a 3D mock up of my teeth. They are very thorough, and take their time during the visit. I even got a chip on my front tooth fixed, when I didn’t know that that was an option without major work. I have been to several dentists, and dental hygienists in the area but I’ve never been this pleased with survived. Thank you!

I was very impressed with Newbury Park Dental. My regular dentist was on vacation so I was referred to Newbury Park Dental. I didn’t know what to expect … I was impressed. Dr. Markiewicz is by far the best dentist I’ve had. She really knows her stuff and I’m honestly surprised at the level of care I get from her and her staff each time I go in. In the past, I’ve had pretty poor treatment from other dentists, so it is extremely gratifying finding someone who really cares about their patients. Dr. Markiewicz is very precise and detailed with her work, so the name NP Dental Arts really fits. Honestly, if you’ve ever felt discouraged after going to a dentist, stop by here and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

Both my wife and I have been there a few times. Every time there is loud dance/techno music playing. They have zero empathy for the patient and are very unprofessional. This includes yelling at assistants and not checking patient’s medical history. Seems like they are just here to make money.

Is this a real dental office or is it just a front to collect money?I made an appointment as a new patient for a tooth cleaning. I was very excited because since we moved this way, based on the reviews, I thought I found my new dentist.To start they give you a long questionaire. One question mentions giving them right to use pictures of your teeth and face to use on their research and social media. It doesn’t give you an option to opt out of it. Very sneaky.After spending 15 minutes to fill out all the questionaires, it is a good mask to make it seem like they are very interested in you and your history. I get to the chair and they sit me down to begin an exam. They tell me that the appointment is an exam only and NOT a teeth cleaning. Mind you I took off early from work, my husband took off early from work to pick my son up, filled out the long questionaire to find out they changed your appointment from a teeth cleaning to just an exam.This appointment was just an opportunity for them to make some money. It feels like a total scam here.Avoid this place.

Dental Arts is by far the best dentist my family has ever gone to. Dr. Markiewicz takes extra time to figure out an issues you are having. She reached out to colleagues when researching out ways to help her patients if it extra complicated. I’ve dealt years with increasing problems due to TMJ. She is the first dentist to ever find multiple solutions. It’s been well over a year and a half since she treated me for my TMJ. It has been so much better for my quality of life. Of course it is not 100% gone but with the nighttime appliances and daytime appliance, it has made a significant difference for the better. Plus I sleep so much better with the nighttime appliances, as an added bonus. As for the hygienists, everyone is so gentle. Office staff is attentive and easy to get in contact with. Dental Arts is the best dental office around. So glad I found them.

I was not notified of the significant rate increase or the change in how payment is collected. I paid $312 up front when I was only expecting to pay $30. Out of pocket Im still paying close to $200. The services I have received are not good enough to warrant these prices. What frustrated me the most was not being notified before I had the service done. They claimed to have emailed me in January but there is no record of an email. I spoke with another coworker who also sees this dentist, and she was only notified in person at her last visit - neither of us got an email or letter like they claimed. I was only notified after the visit when it was time to pay. While I respect a businesss need to increase costs, they need to be transparent about any significant increase and give their clients prior notice. This was shady at best. And if they do it once, they will do it again.

Having been on this planet for decades, Dr. Zweig and his team are the best I have come across in the dental field. Ive had a number of various procedures done and all of them have come out great. The process is always as pleasant as it can possibly be.They are also great on routine cleanings. My most recent cleaning by Lisa was the most thorough and informative that Ive ever had. She was very helpful and gave me great advice on to improve my teeth care.I highly recommend this practice. Youll be well cared for and happy with the quality of service and care.

I found it hard to believe but Cristina Markiewicz., a dentist in Newbury Park, California, gave me numbing shots (3) without applying the pre-numbing cream on June 21, 2023. It was excruciating pain. I had tears I couldn’t control. Hours later I was still traumatized. As well as the next day.I was surprised at the shot because I was just getting my final crown and I never needed numbing before for that procedure. I even asked her after the first shot. But she proceeded with 2 more.I was surprised at the shot also because I was used to getting the Q-Tip with the funny tasting cream to numb the area first.Why would she do this, you may ask? I was so traumatized that it took 2 days to figure out what happened to me.I believe it was because I expressed that the price for two crowns was $1000 more than previously quoted, $3586. Also, as I had to reschedule the permanent crown, because I needed to be at City of Hope for results of a bone marrow biopsy for my husband. Her office initially had quoted a date 3 weeks out and I was not happy as I was eating on just one side of my mouth.Giving her the benefit of the doubt, I sent the following email to her office with no response:Cristina Markiewicz,I have some questions regarding the last appointment for putting on the permanent crowns.I have never had such pain with the shots to numb the area.I need to understand the numbing agent you previously used and what was used at my last appointment so I can request the process that worked for me.Previously, there has always been a local numbing agent placed in my mouth with like a large Q-tip. And several of them. Between my gum and cheek and on the inside of my cheek. I didn’t particularly like the taste but it was explained that it would make it so the shots wouldn’t hurt as much. I recall it took about 10+ minutes to activate so the area was numb and ready for the shot.This is why I was I was so surprised when you started giving me shots. I didn’t have the Q-tips with the funny tasting medicine that was the precursor I expected. The shots were extremely painful.I do remember that you put some gauze between my gum and cheek back near the two teeth but I didn’t taste anything. And it didn’t do anything.What was the numbing agent that you used that was tasteless and didn’t work on me last Wednesday?What is the numbing agent that tastes funny, applied with something like large multiple Q-tips that did work on me?This way I can request the numbing agent and process that works for me.As I said, no response.

It’s rare that I leave reviews because I’m picky, but when I do leave a review it’s genuine. I’m also lazy and don’t like the hassle, so you can be confident that this is the real deal. First, I’m grouchy with all this Covid inconvenience and protocol for medical visits, but that’s not their fault. It’s the norm now. Listen, I haven’t had treatment like this in forever. They earned their money. Doctor Markowiecz (spelling?). My old dentist apparently left and she took over the practice. Wow. I’m glad she did. Best dentist I’ve ever had. Friendly, thorough, educational, and knowledgeable. The staff is fantastic. The hygienist and the X-ray tech were perfect in all dimensions. The front desk tolerated my grumpiness (I hate paperwork), but bless their hearts, they didn’t express to me what had to be their disdain. I never knew. Fire your dentist and move to this office. I have no idea if the prices are competitive. I pay cash and I don’t shop, but I don’t care really. I like their work. Bravo Zulu!

This place has always been the most amazing and positive dental experience for me. Dr Zweig was wonderful, was sad to see him go, Dr Christina had big shoes to fill. However the changeover was seamless. Now that they reopened after initial covid closure, they take very safe and sound preventative steps to mitigate exposure. Brenda is the BEST dental technician ever. I have no apprehension or anxiety seeing a dentist ever since I made the switch and I am SO gad I did.
