Literally the best Chiropractor Ive been to. Ive seen 20+ Chiros over the past 20 years and they all kinda care enough to fix you, here, Tyler Holt at New Wave Chiropractic Center in Carlsbad CA utilized data and measurements like Ive never seen with various tools and methods to custom tailor a plan to heal and support my body. XRay, nerve testing, another device I dont recall the name of, and all the standard physical evaluations were great. The staff was nice and welcoming, and the price was fair and correct. Im looking forward to coming to New Wave Chiropractic Center for years.

Im pregnant and had seen 2 different chiropractors before finally finding Dr Arielle and Dr Tyler. Man, what a difference. Not only do I not have my pain creep back up on me as the week goes by, but the adjustments are vastly different from what Im used to! They are so gentle and take the time EACH APPOINTMENT to check to see where my body is at before making adjustments. The combination of muscle work with classic chiro adjustments is so incredible. Their equipment is top notch, their team is super friendly and fun, and their adjustments are gentle, effective, and lasting. Especially being pregnant, going to see Dr Arielle (who has been through this!) has been hugely impactful. This is my 3 pregnancy and despite having 2 young kids running around and hanging off of me, this has been my least uncomfortable pregnancy yet and I attribute a lot of that to this wonderful team. Dont wait. Go see them.

Dr. Tyler and Dr. Arielle are the best Chiropractors in San Diego. After our car accident my wife and I have been seeing them and they really fixed my wife up with a speedy recovery. During the recovery process I contacted the VA to make Dr. Tyler my preferred chiropractor, now I see him at least once a month.

I was referred by the Oceanside VA for my back problems. I was and still am very pleased with the staff and service done at this location. All of my deficiencies were explained and the plan of action to improve my back and neck before it would get bad was detailed. Follow the strategy and keep up with your appointments, and you’ll be golden. I definitely recommend this location to other veterans who are getting help through the VA.

Very thorough on their evaluation. Spent a lot of time with me on x-rays, showing normal and problems I have from hip to Spinal issues. After one adjustment and decompression, I was not getting tingling in my fingers anymore.. I’ve been to several chiropractors who have never been anywhere close to this thorough. I’m 60 years old. We definitely recommend them

I had such a great experience. I was in early labor and my chiropractor was out of town but they were able to squeeze me in and use fancy adjustments to get aligned and ready for labor/delivery. I had my baby the following day. Thank you for everything!

Great office. Great team. Dr. Tyler is very solid as a chiropractor because he has a wide range of knowledge across medical disciplines and is a big and strong enough guy to perform effective spinal adjustments on men. I had a major back (disc) problem that is now mostly solved but I will keep going back to check in and see what other new treatment protocols he has up his sleeve. Highly recommend this place.

I came in to get my first adjustment ever and have to admit I was a little nervous. The last time I had somebody crack my neck I was 16 and gave into peer pressure of my high school friends who had no idea what they were doing but could crack necks… I was greeted by Karissa who was exceptional! She answered all my questions and helped me overcome some concerns of mine. Dr. Tyler, Ariel and Kat were very informative and all made me feel like I was at home. I began seeing Dr. Paul Hodgson over a year ago with back pain but not the worst pain I had ever had. The purpose of seeing him was to avoid having that worst pain ever again. It worked! I signed up for a year long program. I saw Dr. Paul and his colleagues a lot in the beginning and over time I saw them less and less. After a year I feel amazing. I am in the process of moving so am packing and carrying heavy boxes. No problem. I have begun to garden again. No problem. The biggest surprise has been how much better my knees are. I had begun to look into knee replacement and had actually gone to the class to fire the surgery and what actually happens. Havent had it. Dont need it! Dr. Paul exudes confidence in himself and his training that he helped me immensely, I must admit I was a skeptic. I was raised by a physician who didnt have positive things to say about chiropractors but he practiced a very long time ago. Besides having all this physical success, I just love going to this office. Dr. Pauls staff, Rachel, Naomi and Cameron are awesome. They knew my name the moment I walked in the first time. They are so sweet and helpful. Dr. Arielle is a nice addition to the team someone I am comfortable having step in when necessary, She knows her stuff too. I am so glad I found Dr. Paul. 2 words: THE BEST!I love my chiropractors and cant say enough good about them. Two years ago, I was in tears of agony when I first walked in. I could barely walk due to back pain and couldnt even lift my head up all the way due to neck pain from a past car wreck. I was out of hope and did not want to face surgery again.Dr. Paul did a VERY thorough examination which included not only the standard X-Rays, but also nerve scans and physical examination. He worked with me to lay out a customized plan of action. I was so grateful to have hope for my health!I was pleasantly surprised how quickly I started to feel some relief by following the protocol prescribed. West Coast Chiro is wonderful. Dr. Paul has been caring for me throughout my pregnancy and for a bad fall from a horse. He has shown genuine concern for my health - I have never had any kind of Dr offer to work around my schedule so that I could receive care the same day as my accident! Mary at the front desk is lovely and makes you feel right at home. The whole staff is professional and on top of it, but warm and friendly as well and they are invested in their community! They are an active office but I have never had trouble getting a last minute appointment with my doc when I needed it. Great practice, and will take my baby here once he arrives!

I never fully knew how powerful the chiropractic experience could be until I spent some quality time with Dr. Paul. His ability to communicate complex ideas about what is going on in the human body in terms anyone can understand is a rare gift. Not only does he have the ability to communicate well he can deliver the goods when it comes to spinal adjustments. Dr Kat is gifted at what she does! She listens to what I say and how my body is unique. She takes time to educate me on spinal patterns and chiropractic care. She caters her adjustments according to my individual needs in general and current needs on the day I come in. In just a few adjustments my low back pain that I came in for was corrected, but we also noticed and began to address a neck issue no one had taken the time to discover before. In a month I’ve gotten my neck curve back (which will prevent further degeneration and has allowed more functional movement in my neck) and now we are fine-tuning my spine and the accommodations my body has made to this misalignment. I’m staring to feel whole and youthful again! I’m so glad I found New Wave!

These guys are great! I came to them after suffering for months with sciatic nerve problems, Dr. Paul was awesome! He never lectured me about being over weight or looked down on me for getting myself into this situation, he was compassionate and professional. He understood the pain I was in and came up with a game plane to get me back in shape. These two (Dr. Gina and Dr. Paul) are really compassionate care givers. They are top in their field and make the effort to educating you while providing great treatments, I cant recommend them enough. I love this place so much that I could hang out here! :) I came in 8 months pregnant with a breech baby which flipped after 2 weeks of treatments. I was pleased to notice my breathing and my sleep also improved along with my mobility so I continued coming until I delivered my baby. I am being seen now for postpartum care and I can say that I am getting so much relief as my body returns to it prepregnancy state. Only a couple weeks ago, it was uncomfortable to lay down flat on my back but even that is starting to subside. So thankful to this amazing team of doctors (I have been seen by all three). My 2 year old daughter and I have been going to Dr. Paul for almost 6 months. It has been the most amazing experience ever. My daughter has been battling chronic ear infections/illness for about 1.5 years. She has been on so many different antibiotics it is ridiculous. She was even scheduled to have ear tubes and adenoids removed. Thankfully, Dr. Paul has guided us in a different direction. He really is the first one who has actually helped her. With the recommendations of diet change, natural remedies and adjustments her ears have been clear for almost 2 months. That is the first time in a year and a half!! He goes out of his way to see us when we dont have a scheduled appointment and often sends me various articles and information. Dr. Paul Hodgson is one of those Chiropractors I would say is excellent. I had the unique experience of practicing with him in Peru. I got to watch his dedication and passion with patients as he taught them in a language he was just learning. He didnt let that stop him! He continued to give education talks, and I watched him touch the lives of many Peruvians. I saw the love and caring as he worked with a 90 year old woman, and the patience as he adjusted young children. I got to witness the miracles of his Chiropractic care as he helped a woman get out of chronic pain and avoid surgery. Her family came by, so grateful, and thanked him personally, bringing gifts. Dr. Paul Hodgson and Dr. Joe Botkin are both very straightforward, friendly and extremely knowledgeable, especially in regard to sports related injuries as well as typical military-related back and neck problems. I have been in treatment with Dr Kat and Dr Paul for a ruptured lumbar disc and sciatica. When I first started I had been hurting for 8 months. I couldn’t sit or drive, and I was constantly in pain. My 82 year old wife and I were shopping at Costco when she slipped on some slop that was on the floor and came head over heels crashing to the floor. Costco personnel came to her rescue immediately to clean up the mess some inconsiderate customer had made and took very good care of her injuries. When we got to the parking lot Dr. Pauls voice was ringing in my ears: Remember. If either of you fall or have a traumatic experience call my office and tell us you have had an accident and you need to see me immediately. The quicker I can get you in here for adjustment the more likely I will be able to fix anything that may be out of alignment. I picked up my cell phone and dialed the New Wave Chiropractic Center and told them what had happened. Their response was: Get in here as quickly as you can. Dr. Paul will see you immediately. Now tell me: WHERE CAN YOU GET A RESPONSE LIKE THAT FROM A DOCTOR?Dr. Paul was true to his word. He had her on the couch within two minutes of our arrival in his facility. He first examined her for any signs of concussion and then adjusted her spine and shoulders. He then took the time to show me how to examine her for any signs of concussion and said that I should check her frequently throughout the night. How can you not love and trust a Doctor like that.My wife and I are firmly committed to the New Wave Chiropractic Center.

I had one of the best healing, caring, and going the extra mile experiences with Dr. Paul Hodgson and Dr. Joe Botkin at New Wave Chiropractic Center about 3 weeks ago.I have some tightness issues with my neck, lower back, hands, and the worst condition is plantar-fasciitis in both feet for the last year which has curtailed most of the activities that I love doing: running, jogging, dancing, teaching dancing, playing tennis, ping pong, and long power walks.I never dreamed that chiropractic might be able to help me with healing my plantar-fasciitis and have tried everything else, so I thought why not add chiropractic to the list :-)It is the first time that any doctor or chiropractor has ever volunteered his personal time, without any compensation, to meet with me and try to help me on his own personal time, but that is exactly what Dr. Paul did about the third or fourth time he treated me!Thanks to Dr. Hodgson’s kindness and generosity I am happy to report that I am already back to power walking and some jogging, shooting some baskets, taking boxing lessons, and I played a competitive game of table tennis.
