The wonderful guys over here were able to help me out with a gaming pc i built for my brothers 30th birthday that has some funky issues. It was obvious to me (as Im sure it would be for anybody) that these guys are the textbook definition of nerds (in a good way, hahaha). Their knowledge, professionalism, outstanding customer service are few of many reasons ill never go to anybody else. They were able to work more than a few miracles for me and I cant thank them enough for their outstanding, high quality, work. 10/10

I handed over my laptop for diagnostics of Wi-Fi modules and motherboard. The guys checked my modules, they didnt work. then they found their module for me and checked the work with it. It turned out that everything was fine with my laptop, I just needed to replace the wi-fi module, and the guys did it. I am very grateful to the guys for the work they did and for helping me with my laptop. I wish you good clients!

I thought I found best computer nerds in town, but I was wrong. I dropped off my fresh build pc (everything is brand new put together) to this place on 12/22 Friday they were having a Christmas party at the time. Everyone seems so nice and friendly, nice work environment. The guy helped me was nice, I let him know what’s going on with my pc (keep getting blue error screen when I tried install OS and after during install drivers). The price is $49 for diagnostic, if it need to be fix they will ask me if I need it fix or not. The price goes up to $99 or $189 depending on pc’s problem and labor time. They said it might take a day or two to figure out, also it’s Christmas weekend, they do work on SAT not sure about SUN and Mon this I understand it’s holiday takes longer. I got a call Tuesday saying my computer all fixed ready to pick up. I drove 45 minutes to store they said my pc’s power supply’s cable wasn’t plugged in all the way causing my pc not run properly. If it not plugged in properly then I won’t even get to windows to install my drivers and cause blue error screens. They said it’s all fixed and good to go, but need charge me $99 for the fix. I was shocked I was just in for diagnosing, no one called me or saying I’m going to get extra charge for it. The worker at front desk said he unplugged my power supply’s cable and plugged back in, that’s a fix so it cost labor. I was upset already and he won’t wave that fee for me. And I ask him kindly since you charged me for $99 for fixed fees, can you help me organize my wires this is my 1st time putting a computer together. He declined if need him to do that need pay $189. I’m like forget about it, if it really fixed my problem then I’ll get over with it, I’ll organize it later on. I drove another 45 minutes home powered up my pc, trying to install my drivers again. Then I got the error blue screen again right away. I call the store immediately, who ever answered my phone was rude. He said “you came in for pc not turning on, we fixed that problem for you everything is running fine. If you need us to take look again that’s $189 we definitely going to fix it for you, even future problems.” This is the exact word he told me, I just feel like I been robbed, did not fix my issue, unplug and plug back in is a “fix”. Just pay that $189 flat fee will get all your problems solved. Now I’m down $100 and still haven’t got my problem solved. Need pay more to get looked at, and which I lost trust in them.

I wanted to wait a few days before finishing my review in case I needed to take my sanity back to the shop.TLDR: This shop is amazing and my new go to.I took my Alienware PC in due to crashing and was quoted 1 price. When I received an update call I was expecting to be charged more ( that has happened to me in the past) nope same price I was quoted to start. The tech asked me about upgrading a part in a no pressure manner. That was a huge change for me. I decided to upgrade and was told 3 days until it would be ready. They were done a day early. The staff is so sweet and didnt get annoyed with all my questions. Very helpful and I feel comfortable referring my family here.

I have been with Nerds for about 6 months. They have been helping keep my old computer running. When my old computer finally died.I bought a new computer from them. They took my old computer and transferred all my files and Programs over to the new custom built computer they built for me.As usual, when dealing with computers if something can go wrong, it will.They continued to work with me for several days getting all the bugs out, until the new computer ran perfect. All my old files were completely transferred over, and most important they were able to get all my programs transferred over as well. I dealt with several different Tech people, everyone was always polite and very patient with me. Great bunch of people to deal with. Jeremy was the last Tech I dealt with, he is the one that finished fixing the last of the bugs. He really knows the ins and outs of computers.Every time I called they were fast to respond. I dont know how I ever survived with Nerds on Call. There is never a time that I contact them online and they are not there to help me within a minute or less. I have purchased the yearly contract from them for the past 5 years if not more and it is the BEST money I have ever spent. They take care of my computer and printer issues all the time. Sometimes it might take two attempts to get the job completed but it gets done. Thank you to these professionals who give not only wonderful service but are always courteous and kind!!!

Im always skeptical of computer repair people in fear of having sensitive data stolen. However Nerds On Call has come to my home office and fixed issues remotely with no problem with virtually no wait time other than the troubleshooting/repairs themselves. I have some really big problems with name of folders and the root register and even making my Gmail work properly and efficiently. It took some time -- I am busy -- but they hung in there with me over the whole of a weekend!!! Fantastic. Not to throw shade but I went to Best Buy and they told me my screen was broken and I would need a new screen and it would cost me about 400.I went to nerds on call to see if that was true and if they could do something about it. Turns out I’m just really dumb and my brightness had been dimmed and locked. It took him 5 min to figure out and he didn’t make me feel dumb even though I’m clearly missing something. 10/10 honest, patient and good quality service

I love this site and those who work on it. They keep my computer up to date and are a great help when there are problems. Theses guys were awesome. I highly recommend giving this business some love over the other repair guys you hear advertised all over. I tried calling the bigger guys such as Tech 2u and Geek Squad. Tech 2 you couldnt get to my issue for at least 3 days. Geek squad didnt answer. I brought my pc in one afternoon and had it back in 1 day. They fixed the problem and gave me a great price. Took a couple of days to fix email issue re OUTLOOK but they stayed on it. Of course, they receive other business while helping you and it can be frustrating when at 6pm only one guy is on location to handle calls and work on your issue, but they stay on it. And per chance they dont resolve your issue in 1 day, theyre ready to take your call the next day and start again until they do fix it. Sincere people and they do want to be helpful.

I have been having issues with both of my email accounts and finally got fed up and contacted my experts. Patrick helped me with both. He spent a lot of time trying to find out the reason for both. One he was able to fix but the other is still pending but we have hopes. These people are super and have been giving me great service and help since 2007. I have learned some things I can do on my own but most of it I let them do it because they know way more then I do. I have never had a bad experience with them in all these years.

Move over Geek Squad. Ive been using the GS for many years, but a recent computer glitch forced me to another online support. I am VERY HAPPY with my choice of Nerds On Call. Sadly my laptop, was running very slow and nothing I did fixed it. A friend of mine recommended Nerds On Call in Sacramento...Even though it took a couple days to get my laptop back, it now runs like a champ. Nerds On Call called me first with a free estimate, the other guys dont do that. When they called they explained what I needed done (a tune-up of sorts) and when I picked it up they showed me how to use the new tools they installed to keep it clean.Overall I am satisfied.

Ive been a yearly service contract with NOC since 2012. They are the best at problem solving. Last year I got a new Epson printer which wouldnt work properly and numerous calls to Epson support over several days accomplished nothing. I finally called Nerds and the representative knew what needed to be downloaded and my printer started working 5 minutes later! Most years Ive only needed to call them a couple of times but theyve saved my computer from some major problems when Ive needed them.

Nerds on call provided me with abysmal service. I called them the other day to ask them to come out asap. I had to get information off of my computer to bring to my hematologist (cancer pt.) Doug came out andpurportedly fixed my computer. The next day it wasnt fixed, nor was my phone. I urgently called them and asked the man that answered the phone to look at my computer from his office. He refused to do so.All he would say is you have a 30 day guarantee yet he refused to help meimmediately, and said that Doug needed to take care of that. Due to them I missed my hematology appointment. I now have to go to the Mayo Clinic or Johns Hopkins. I think I would have died from this anyway, yet they hammered the nails in my coffin. Please, Boycott them!!

Well, the rep today was not very friendly. When I was asked questions that I clearly didnt know the answers to, I felt a little belittled in the tone, and to the answers that I was given to my questions as well. I will still give a 4 star, because all of the other reps have been friendly. Did I mention that Im a customer service rep, for a large insurance company? It takes less energy to be nice.

I am a self-employed consultant with a home office. I have maintained an ongoing contract for several years with Nerds on Call who provides me with great IT support when I need it. For a flat yearly fee, I can contact them by phone or by an icon on my computer so that we can chat and they can quickly remote in to address whatever problem Im experiencing. Technicians have also made house calls to help me with set-up, configuration, and picking up my computer to take in for repair. When they make an on site visit, thats an additional cost, but I dont mind because its part of my business overhead. I would recommend Nerds on Call.

Price - 3/5 stars. $170+ for PC install. Kind of a price gouge, but its mid range from what Ive seen in multiple geographic markets. You can do it yourself with a cold beer and 2 hours. Experts can put it together in less than 1 hr. I understand there are more expenses to handle, but even with rent, employee pay, advertisement pay, marketing pay, manager pay, profit margin, I find it hard to justify $170+ for a simple one hour install.Service - 2/5 stars. Didnt even bother dusting the case/parts completely, failed to check thermal paste, service man said that the temps were fine but realistically with a blower type GPU it should be the first thing you do after you see the GPU has been in constant operation for 4 years. The paste was entirely dried out, and because the PCB was exposed I could reapply the thermal paste in less than 30 seconds, and check the status in 10.Atmosphere - 5/5 stars. I dont know his name, but a friendly serviceman first took my rig. He knew exactly what was going on and what hes talking about. Made me feel at ease and were he at the front desk or picked up my call, I would have actually forked out the extra $100 for him to put my rig together.The second serviceman was also knowledgeable and friendly. Both of their services and advice was incredible. Second guy even offered me some pointers if I needed to figure out how to set my rig up if it was my first time. With a $170+ price tag, I did expect some above and beyond service. Little things like being warned that the Asus Z-170A motherboard I was recommended doesnt come with an RGB header so I need to grab an RGB controller myself (like a Razer one), or checking my thermal paste as mentioned before, or even dusting my components.All in all, I paid $60 for them to plug various components of my computer into a test bed (about 10 minutes-25 minutes of work). I wouldnt say this is particularly fair, but with my experience Id leave them with these 3 stars. I will return in the future and give Nerds on Call another shot, because they could easily be a 5 star company if they take care of the little things.

These techs moved all my hard drive contents from a dead CPU to my new laptop. It cost $179, but comes with a month of premium support to help me get up and running. I ran into several difficulties attaching all the peripherals, but Rhaeme answered all my questions clearly and helped me with a live interaction on my laptops to set up a second display monitor. I have been having months of peculiar problems and slow downloads, and have consulted a number an experts. Several times I used various consultants and my system would work for a day or two but odd behaviorwould recur. Today John C considered my story for a few minutes and then spend several hours cleaning and tuning my computer. Presto! it restarted, downloaded at light speed, and we did not need to do anything else. Nobody else including me thought to do this. -I took my Samsung NP300E5C - nearly brand new - in because I accidentally melted a few Jr. Mints yes only like 3/4 when I closed the lid and left it for 5 minutes to take the dog outside.-I was told by them that they had melted into my motherboard and my computer was unfix-able. I needed a new keyboard, quoted at $180!!-To the present: I met a guy who has a degree in computer science and its been almost a year without having this thing cleaned, looked at, or having any problems with it since I took it in. Only emotional discontent thinking that backing it up every week was mandatory because it would die any moment...-He took it apart. Not only is there a metal separation barrier between the keyboard and the motherboard, we have the pictures for evidence because I want to be compensated for what they did to my computer... they welded the keyboard into it! So we could not unsnap it and clean the Jr. Mints out. OMG! I couldnt believe it! So, Im posting this here and also other places to warn people to never take your stuff to Nerds on Call.-FYI: I have pictures to prove this as we took the thing apart just last week finally.-Use local business/people!! And, Nerds on Call: get in touch with me if youd like to buy me a new keyboard and the metal plate underneath so I can have NON WELDED computer parts where they shouldnt be!!!-Completely incompetent, liars, and played me for a fool. $180 for a keyboard?
