I have been following Natural High and Jon Sundt for some time now. I am a retired Narcotics Detective with fourteen years experience. I find the program that Jon put together to be one of the most impactful programs I have seen. It relates to the demographics we need to reach. I recommend his program to any school resource officer or educator. Hands down better than anything already in used.

Jon Sundts Natural High resource is the best free resource I have come across. I love the Fentanyl Toolkit. As the Youth Services Coordinator at Ohio County High school I have used his resources many times to teach students the dangers of fentanyl. Everything he sends out is worth checking out. For the past 15 years Ive used Natural High materials, videos, testimonials, etc. each October as our school district celebrates Red Ribbon week. I used to pop in the DVD they sent out but by now there is way more information online than I could ever present so Ill let my students pick from all the videos. All the material lends itself to creating great conversations with my students. The feedback I get from my students is heartfelt and deep. I absolutely love what John Sundt has done with Natural High.

I teach online in a zoom class drivers education I tried to make it where it is conversation that Im having with my students. I use your website as a way for them to explore and make up their own mind about what is a good choice and what is a bad choice.The curriculum design is built for a conversation about a serious topic. I like that we think things through together, and I am not just scaring them!I asked them to give me a review of Johns story and picking choose the different celebrities that are there. I always get positive feedback from students.My assistant instructors are Oreo and Ned are always present for this lesson! The kitties, never come in for any other lesson too!

Hello NH Friends!The Port of Los Angeles High School students just had Red Ribbon Week! We kick it off with our Red Ribbon lessons - a total of 813 students!!!We created a Google Document with your three new videos (2023) and discussion questions. We had our students work on the lesson quietly and then share out with their English teachers and peers. I have used the Natural High videos, articles, and overall information as a tool/strategy for my middle school students in a variety of assignments from video-making, postcards, and educational school-wide posters. The NH stories are honest, age appropriate, and brief to keep their attention and provide them with invaluable drug related information to demonstrate what drugs TAKE from each young adult and how finding your natural high enables a young adult to focus on what they would NEVER want to give up because of drugs. I have used Natural High videos and resources my entire teaching and counseling career. I have always been impressed with the quality of the resources and their ability to connect with students of various ages. I recently shared their documentary - Dead On Arrival with my 5th and 6th grade students and sent out a message to our middle school and high school staff, students and families. Wonderful, wonderful program!! I find myself going back to your site for all kinds of things! Lol. Im a counselor and a n ESE teacher and I love my kids and Im always looking for ways to make the connection and reach them on their individual level. I serve the population of students in 6 through 12th grade at an Alternative school...needless yo say...they are the unwanted ones. :( i truly believe that I have stepped into my calling. I watched the testimony of the gentleman who started this wonderful program and the passion he has was felt all the way to the sunny state of Florida! I lost my dad to a cocaine overdose...well he would not have overdose if the drug dealer didnt lace the cocaine with rat poison and other terrible things. I was a senior in high school when that happened and Im 50 years old this year...feels like he died just yesterday. Im grateful that i stumbled upon you guys...I was looking for something REAL, and of strong substance combined with powerful testimonies and I SURE FOUND IT! I’ve utilized Natural High Lessons with both middle school and high school age students. They are all very engaging. It’s not easy to engage today’s youth but the vast majority of teens are really into the videos and brief, entertaining and relevant lesson plans. I appreciate how the Natural High videos portray people from diverse backgrounds that teens can relate to- from skateboarders to basketball players to musicians to break dancers, etc. Jon Sundt’s heartfelt story alone (of his brothers) truly captivates the audience and I always begin the Natural High lessons with Jon’s story and his compassionate message and hope for the future. I’m picky about what I teach during the Drug & Alcohol unit but I look forward to Natural High every time! I highly recommend Natural High for all educators, counselors, social workers, parents, etc. A “Natural High” indeed!!

This year we began using resources from Natural High school-wide. During Red Ribbon Week we conducted a Focus on Fentanyl Forum where parents, students and community members viewed the film Dead on Arrival and had discussion. Throughout the same week, we also utilized the short videos to support student wellness. On Fentanyl Awareness Day, we used the social media posts to spread awareness. I appreciate the toolkits and the resources which are ready to use.

Natural Highs program is constantly updated and meets the students were they are. The parent resources are also amazing! My students look forward to the Natural High Lessons every year. Some programs come and go because they are not effective, relative, and/or interesting any more. Natural High is tried and true. Additions to content are made regularly. My students compete with each other to decide which videos we view. The exercises encourage students to reflect. Natural High has been a winner for my students. I recommend it for anyone working with children/young adults, especially those that wish to lead a substance-free life while meeting personal life goals.

Many of the resources are great discussion topics and conversation starters for middle school and high school students. Natural High was a great resource for our Red Ribbon Week. We had our students watch the videos and then did a contest where students showed or explained what their natural high was; what they chose to do rather than drugs or drinking. We had students make videos, write an essay and one explained his in the form of a poem. Natural High sent me a variety of stickers for the students with activities that could be a students natural high ( singing, basketball, travel, cooking, etc.). I liked having the week focus on positive choices and it was Natural High that inspired our school. Thank you so much for your help.

I have used this amazing tool in my Health Education class for years. Helping students find things THEY love outside of school is a missing piece of education. This program helps young people find their passion. The sky is the limit for these kids, all they have to do is stay away from the bad things in life. The conversations that Natural High brings into the classroom are some of the most discussions that these kids will have at school.What is even cooler is that the kids LOVE talking about their passions. Kids are not always great listeners, but they are great imitators. Having such positive role models talking to them about what they love demonstrates what a drug free life looks like helps them believe they can succeed too!

This is a great program for high schoolers. The videos are short enough to use in any class and with the accompanying discussion questions it can be a complete lesson. Depending on class participation it can easily fill a 30 to 50 min class period. The only request from students in to see current personalities.

My 2 young adult children have chosen not to pick up a drink or drug, after hearing the details of my battle with addiction, resulting, thankfully, through becoming sober and actively participating in the (free!) recovery program, open to anyone seeking sobriety, called Alcoholics Anonymous. I introduced the “Natural High” website to my kids when they were pre-teens. The aesthetic pictures within the site, along with its upbeat content helped put a face on the possibility of having fun without being under the influence of mood altering substances. These same kids are now well adjusted, healthy college athletes, who have never felt the need to use drugs or alcohol to fit in or have fun. They, and their friends, who’ve also chosen not to drink or use drugs, are, effectively, the “cool crowd”. They don’t seek to be accepted or fit in with the college party culture and its avid use of alcohol and weed, in particular. They are living proof that Its possible for young people to act contrary to the culture and find joy without needing an “artificial high”. While the alcohol and weed industries take great pains to design products which attract younger and younger consumers, “Natural High” is a pioneer in creating & securing quality content which tells the truth about alcohol and drugs potentially lethal and destructive effects. I can’t sing this organizations praises enough!

I have used Natural High resources in my health & PE classes for the past 10 years. The messages and well-known story tellers are positive, upbeat, and truly have had an impact on my students.
