Awesome place for live music. We saw Rodney Crowell, on his Chicago sessions tour tonight, managed to sit second row dead center by getting there early enough, and the show was absolutely positively awesome. Positively awesome. And I go to 20 or 30 live shows a year easily some years more.

Its been quite awhile since I saw a concert here, it was the band Sonia Dada and this band in itself was a good live perormance everywhere they played. The Mystic is one of those quaint theatres and great to see and hear bands dealing with good sound. Smaller theaters, like the Mystic absorbs sound unlike arenas which is hard to curtail, sound bouncing everywhere. They are meant for sports. I like older theaters like this for a few reasons. Pricing more realistic, good seating throughout, no audience distraction like pits or someone on shoulders and the sound.

I recently saw my first show at The Mystic: The English Beat. I didnt know what to expect from a concert venue in Petaluma, so I was quite surprised by the space.Its got a small stage, a dance/standing floor in front of the stage, with theater seating on the sides. In the middle are small bar tables. Theres even a balcony, which I certainly didnt expect. (Its bigger on the inside!) Really nice intimate place for music.Plus, parking is a breeze. Easy street parking within a couple blocks. The staff was very friendly too. Great experience!

Domestic theater is my favorite go-to venue for concerts and events in the North Bay. Quality performances every time, reasonable ticket prices, great acoustics, and a very friendly staff always makes The Mystic an awesome night out!!!

Great venue in a wonderful location that is in desperate need of some attention.Lighting and sound have to be 20+ years old. Sound system needs an immediate upgrade. If you go to a seated show the lobby bar noise is very distracting if you are seated in the last 1/4 of the theatre.Staff are cool. Petaluma is great.Could be a gem venue if upgraded

A performer we wanted to see was advertised to appear so we bought 6 tickets. Immediately as we received the pdf to print the tickets we noticed the performer wasn’t listed. We have been given the proverbial runaround to refund our tickets. Horrendously bad customer service!They say they’re available to take calls 8am-noon. That’s not true!! We know the performer & found out she was never scheduled to perform there. False advertising on top of horrible customer service !!Latest update … they refunded the price of the tickets BUT THEY KEPT THE SERVICE CHARGE FEE 😡As of 4/01/24 have not received the $45.66 refund for the misrepresented “service charges”.

Started process to purchase txs for Christopher Cross. Ticket was posted price of $119 ea…..already “a little rich” for an artist that is not very relevant…personal information grab before the final stepin purchase before revealing “ process fee” of 35% of cost of ticket.Two tickets, $320! Shame on the Mystic Theatre for taking personal info before revealing true scam cost.

The Mystic was a magical experience!! If you havent had the opportunity to enjoy The Mystic since being managed by Ineffable music. You HAVE GOT TO DO IT!The venue offers seating on the right and left flights while walking down the ramp onto the main floor. In the middle of the right & left sided seating theres a lounge area in the center. Here there are two top tables available, almost directly in front of the bar. The bar service was incredible, MAHALO for the house made Sangria on a whim! Made my heart smile drinking Sangria dancing to The Green. Thank you to the GM Ben, & Matt the longest tendered employee for such a wonderful experience. The venue 💚💓

The Mystic is a very nostalgic venue in need of a lot of renovations. They bring in a lot of good acts but be prepared to be in a hot, stuffy environment - especially if youre upstairs. Also, even though its posted not to smoke, its still very smokey inside. If you dont care about any of those things, its a great place to see a band. They have some seating and lots floor space. Just get there early if you want a seat.

Awesome venue for seeing those hard too find music acts.I saw Dick Dale one week then Junior Brown the next and with McNears Saloon incorporated within the Theatre they have it set were its double the pleasure all in one location. Parking around the block is best for easy late night exit from the area. Prices are very fair for the venue and area.

Rude staff after the show!Just saw a great Porangui show with my wife, the audience had a great chill vibe, we were so happy but at the exit door a bitter staff guy ruined the whole experience being unnecessarily rude to me and my wife just because we were exiting the show with a plastic glass with WATER. Customer service in a theater starts before the show and ends after the show, at the exit. Never coming back!

5 Star in its own way, but not elite. Its a cozy space with good acoustics. Hometown theater including the vibe. Stand or sit, decent views of the Talent if you move around since people dont arrange themselves by height in an audience. Bar. Food nearby of every calibre and price range.

Ive always loved going to shows here. Its definitly a local treasure. I just wish that the seating arrangements were consistent. They seem different with every show. With Petty Theft, the only seating was in the pews, which arent very comfortable. I much prefer having chair in the raised areas with the cocktail tables. Yhe Mystic draws an older audience. Iys not the Phoenix full of 17-20 yeat olds. Give people a place to sit anf be conmfortable

Nice space, very intimate, and their cocktails are decent for the price.Saw Piff the Magic Dragon here and it was a great show... my only complaint is that the ticketing and seating process is a little confusing (it seems that you buy tickets to a general “area” such as balcony, floor, etc. and then it is first-come first-serve, where you find whichever seats you want once you are in; some seats are original theater-style seating, other seats are like folding metal chairs that can be moved around.)

Pretty nice venue in downtown Petaluma. Saw a concert here on a Friday which was sold out. There is a good size stage and seating on both the upper and lower levels. The bar has pretty fair prices as far as venues go with a tall can of lagunitas costing $9. There is a $10 card minimum so be aware of that. I would recommend this venue to anyone.

I recommend McNears for guys that need to let loose after a day of refinement and wine tasting with their wives. McNears is what I expected: drinks, decent food, and decent service. I didnt expect to be wowed here, and it was just...good. Which isnt bad. The food was good, the Apple Cider was cold and good, and my husband said the honey-mustard dressing was excellent. The walls are covered in quirky stuff which is busy, and distracting, but I think thats what they want, and they accomplished it. There are too many items on the menu to be excellent at any of them. The location is very good, and the atmosphere is fun. So if you are looking for drinks, pool, loud-fun atmosphere, check out McNears.

The parking is weird since I have absolutely no idea what the confusing signs mean, but I parked in the front lot all night for free and didnt get a ticket so that works.

You can tell that this place has seen some great shows. Its got the same kind of feel as some of the old show places in San Francisco back in the day. The staff was great and the beer and cocktails were served as fast as the bartenders could possibly get them out. Unfortunately the sound at the show I attended wasnt all that good. Probably more of a sound guy problem than anything to do with the venue. Thats the only reason for three stars. Im hoping to get back there again someday soon. I suspect Ill be giving an additional star or maybe even two.

The food was DELICIOUS and came out super quick. However, the servers all looked and acted clueless. We got water refills once and thats the only time we saw our waitress. When we left, management was slumped over the counter talking with some of the servers...which looks a little unprofessional and like they dont care much for their customers.

I bought tickets for the English Beat for the December 18,2021 show through Mystic Theaters Website. They used Ticket Web. I paid on November 10th and never received tickets which were to be available via an email PDF. I made before and after the show and just receive automated replies from Ticket Web and nothing from The Mystic. Luckily, my credit card company reimbursed me. Super disappointed as it is a fun venue!

Small theater for concert with limited seating along the upper half of each side in to lower section. Seating in balcony as well. A few reserved tables. Sell alchohol in what would be snack bar at old one screen theater. Bathrooms can be a wait, one each side up stairs, fortunately only 200 to 300 for crowd. Most seat/standing is first come first served.

Ok I have been to three separate metal shows here and it is lame. I dont know if it is Petaluma people or what. Nobody moves around AT ALL. They just stand there. You dont have to mosh but dont get mad when other people jump around. Havent any of you been to a metal show? I wont be back for metal but it might be good for opera or something.

One of the best small venues for love music anywhere. Unfortunately, in desperate need of some renovating and updating. The old theatre seats have no cushioning left so youre forced to ensure sitting on springs. Also, apparently theres new management who are much younger, and have put some new very odd rules/policies/procedures in place, and havent learned how to properly enforce and deal with the people who will either make or break their business. They could use some sensitivity training and common sense on when and how to BEND! (ie, when theres a sold out Benefit Show with multiple artists-that are donating their time and energy for a cause, some traveling across the country for the event-DO NOT cut off their microphones, and not let them at least thank everyone for their donations and say goodbye! Let alone, not let them perform an encore because its 11pm, and the new management decided to install a curfew, and apparently doesnt want to pay overtime? I had been to MANY shows there prior to this newer management, that had run well past midnight)

Well maybe the rude people on their cell phone sitting directly in front of us so drunk they couldn’t figure out how to turn off the flashes while taking selfies from the balcony. The owner of the mystic is by far one of the most beautiful beings I have ever encountered. However, the bouncers at the mystic are, for the most part (ie: Tyler and Josh) in line with the same frame of mind. Yet, there is one excessively large, of stature, individual there that does not seem to be in line with the universal philosophy of the times. Having partook of the delicious experience that is the mystic theater myself, I must say that this one individuals trite contribution to the overall dynamic of the whole, is, in and of itself, enough to make one feel disgusted and appalled, ad nauseum, when considering the experience of such a potentionally satisfying venue. Wanted to see yellow man as I dance across country third year but although cancelled I got ticket to The wailers minus one of the greatest Bob Marley.
