I am giving them 2 stars (instead of 1) only on the basis that I saw a slight improvement in my case vs. all the other experiences I read.They claim I signed up for a monthly fee when I was convinced this was a one-time charge. What is disturbing is that all other reviews I read appear to fall under the same pattern. It is not normal that so many people got confused by signing up for a monthly fee without their knowing.The difference in my case is when I called to complain (after 3 monthly charges), the Customer Service was aggressive in trying to keep me, but let it go quickly when I was adamant I wanted to cancel. (Thats the only reason why I give them 2 stars instead of 1, because others appeared to have had more problems).The software did speed up my computer on the first trial, but caused it to crash repeatedly afterwards, so not good.Bottom line, I encourage any US citizen (I am not from US) to formally complain to your competent authorities that there is clear evidence of mal-intent in misleading so many customers in signing up for monthly charges without their full awareness. There are rules against that.

SCAM SCAM SCAM! Literally stealing our money for nothing in return! I’ve contacted the very poor company customer services who harass and are unhelpful in any way with anything. Have to intervene with my credit card company and have them take the charges off because the company refuses to unsubscribe and take my card off! THEY LIE AND POOR QUALITY SERVICES!

I am a computer technician. This program is Complete Scam. Stay away from this junk. It will scan and find fake problems in your computer. This program by the way is registered as Scam program. Five star reviews are fake. Cant believe that the government let this liars run the business.

Will be inquiring as to why I was being charged 19.95 a month for their service that at best allowed my PC down on every start up while not actively making my system better beyond basic disk clean up.*Update*After talking to billing I was informed that I signed up for full tech support when I signed up, thats I guess is on me, unsure why I would have but, it is what it is. I told billing that I wont be using their service and will be uninstalling the software after the call.They said to make it up to me they can (insert multiple pitches for their other services, programs, protections etc) Each time saying I wasnt interested they just spoke over me and continued.I had to abruptly hang up to end the interaction.It felt very predatory and sales/sign up oriented Be sure when using their product you dont wind up signing up for things you dont need because you are stuck with the bill and the only fix they have to sign you up for even more.

Not Satisfied. I paid for and downloaded the product on 11/22. My 1st experience was that they wanted me to call and have them install it ??? No Way! A month later I had an additional charge of $21.55 on my credit card? I called their Billing Department, took forever to talk to a person. I was on the line 38 minutes...actually talked to a person for less than 2 minutes. After 39 minutes, they dropped my call. Ill work through Citibank to get the credit. Im not sure this product and service is legitimate.

Giant scam. Charging me an annual $19.95 to my credit card that I made clear not to renew from the last renewal. Of course attempts to cancel the charge went nowhere and I got the same promise that it will not happen again next renewal period.I have disputed the charge with my credit card.Stay clear folks. A good company always gives you the opportunity to cancel anytime. Not this scam operation.They are just hoping you dont see the renewed charge.

I knew it, the person answer my call is a foreigner and the back ground noise is a women screaming in foreign language. He only want me to buy more cloud storage, but I have a 2T iCloud. He does not want to tell me how to clean my pc storage and move the data to iCloud. What a scam.

I used this service once years ago and the following year they automatically renewed and charged my card. I had them cancel the renewal, but now every time I open my browser, their pop up ad trying to get me to renew comes up and blocks 75% of my screen and will not allow me to close the pop up. I can get rid of it by forcing a shut down, but after several minutes of reopening, the pop up returns. Couldnt even complete my taxes this year.

Ripoff scam! You sign up and they try to get you to let them access your computer remotely so that they can install the software that you can do yourself. I wouldnt allow them to do that and he got mad but I installed it anyway. Within the next two days I got nothing but spam and my inbox which I never had before. I immediately deleted their software called and told them I wanted a refund as this did not help me. They said oh well you paid for it its yours for a year enjoy. I told him not to put me on their reoccurring billing. A year later they charged me for a service I did not want and then got mad when I wanted a refund. I told them that I had called a year ago and canceled fortunately they had a record of that but still didnt want to give me a refund. Said I signed an agreement and I kept advising her I called to cancel but she wanted to argue about it. After threatening to notify the Attorney Generals office and the Better Business Bureau they reluctantly refunded my money.

I made the mistake of Buying this software that does nothing on the rare occasion Ive been able to use it. The first four activation keys I was sent said they were already in use. finally I received a working one but quickly discovered the software really does nothing at all. Then I had to reinstall it and guess what, the activation key was already in use. The same company also sells iolo system mechanic which has the same lackluster results as mycleanpc. I finally did find some system repair software that does as advertised. But Im not here to promote software, just to warn you from wasting your money on mycleanpc and iolo system mechanic. Some of the worst software Ive ever purchased.

I had computer issues with freezing, very slow, etc. I installed System Mechanic, which it dot resolve those issues. I contacted System mechanic, their tech, solved the slow and freezing issues, but there cropped up new issues, i.e. couldnt open many of my word or office files. I contacted System Mechanic, their tech resolved all of the issues very satisfactorily.

This laptop is exceptionally clean at this time, and I am so happy for that! (Almost like changing a babys diaper without getting dirty.) Signed up for MyCleanPC, gave information and PayPal (big mistake!), but when I called to activate, the guy said he would be taking over the PC to install the software. This scared me so I told him I wasnt interested and I terminated the connection without ever using the product. A few days later, I saw TWO charges for $19.99 from PayPal. Then, a month later, TWO more charges were made, even though I had never downloaded the software or used it at all. I called and they agreed to cancel the subscriptions, but would only refund one of the second set of PayPal charges, but not the first set. I cant evaluate the software because I never used it, but I can say that they apparently do not care about customer service. I would not recommend dealing with this company.

Us Tech support technician Mark was able to problem shoot a situation with System Mechanic on my older desktop. He persevered until the problem was solved. Very knowledgeable! Ive used System Mechanic for several years and LOVE IT!

Called and paid for a one time cleaning of my PC. Guy on other end kept hard selling me on a subscription service. I replied no thank you at least a dozen times. One month later I get an email that my credit card was declined and to update payment immediately for my monthly subscription service. Had we not experience credit card fraud shortly after my initial phone call, they would have continued to charge my card without my permission! Beware…. You’ve been warned!

We could not get logged into My CleanID accoutn until this morning. Emmanuel did a real good job. My computer would not allow installation of the software until your technician put it on for me. I feel good about having protection from hackers.

It is a scam. you think you are buying a product but it is a service which renew automatically every month. The charge will stick and no refund even if you had cancelled before month end. I dont see my PC runs any faster after used. There are lots of other services that they are pushing and they are very persistent.

I felt that the new basic version of System Mechanic was so blah compared to the old version that I requested they restore the older version with all the bells and whistles. I was fortunate enough to get Jeremy Kalupa who is the best--personable, amusing, articulate, attentive, patient, thorough, extremely competent, and knowledgeable!

The scanning software does not appear to do much. I have been calling their tech support for a week. The company promises a call back in 2 hours and then nothing happens. They push to have tech support log on with you. This is a bait and switch.This software does not hurt your computer; it does not do much of anything at all except remove your browsing history/passwords. The software does not generate any type of report on what their scan reveals. There is no value here and you will not receive customer service. They finally cancelled my account after I made numerous requests.

Do not believe the hype for this product. I tried several times to activate the software, even with Tech Support assistance, it did not work. When you talk to customer service, the representatives are hard to understand and want to sell you even more expensive software.

Paid and downloaded software. It is a very basic scan that didn’t help me at all. From there they ask you to subscribe for monthly fee.I asked to cancel. Avoid at all costs. This program is a scam, doesnt do anything special and they will make you call in to talk to someone to get it activated on which they will then push you into signing up for their monthly tech support. They will supply you with an activation code that doesnt work until you talk to them. There are better products out there that are legit so shop around.

I had to call them and get the charge reversed. 3 weeks later they billed me again, claiming that the charge was for 30 days of technical support. Didnt help my computer at all, but I am giving them a 1 Star because they inconspicuously signed you up for a monthly tech support. They are really pushy, when I called to cancel the service they almost convinced me to upgrade to the I.D. monitoring/protection service. They only agreed to cancel the subscription when I mentioned that I did not want to call the credit card company to initiate a dispute. The software had some features like Deep Clean but when you click on it nothing happens, it was like having a sticker in your screen. LOL.
