Elvis at my My Guy Heating and Air was the best technician for any company that I have ever had come to my house. Will be recommending him and My Guy Heating and Air to all my neighbors.My HVAC system has been having numerous issues. I called My Guy Heating and Air and they worked with my schedule to get someone out to my house the next day. Elvis was the technician sent to help. Elvis was extremely knowledgeable and fixed multiple issues within the hour. Elvis answered all of my questions and was very respectful of my house in making sure he kept it clean. After Elvis fixed my system he even took the time to fully go over everything with me so I understood how my system worked and how to maintain it better for the future. I purchased a new unit in 2022. I have had at least one tune up done since. At my latest visit, they found an issue which should have been caught at the install and the tune up. Now I am being quoted several thousand dollars to fix a mistake they made in their workmanship. They are under new management but that doesnt help my situation. The technician was great though. When you are getting estimates, remember this review and make sure that their estimate isnt cutting corners. I am now in a situation where I am unable to use a unit which was purchased in August 2022. Which means I cant use heat to keep my young kids warm.

If you are looking for an affordable, honest, and amazing HVAC company, look no further than My Guy. They were the first to come out and give us a quote on a new furnace, AC unit, and all new ducts in the attic. Victor was fast, efficient, and COVID safe. Because I like to be diligent, I proceeded to get 4 other quotes. And I kid you not, three out of the four told me something different about the way it would work. All three tried to upsell us or overcharge us on expensive systems that we didnt need. Victors quote at My Guy was the cheapest and felt like the most honest. He was there to answer all my questions for two weeks up to when they actually installed the equipment.Installation was a breeze. Victor and Andres came out to my property and finished the job in 2 days! They included a nice upgraded thermostat, replaced all of my registers at no extra cost, and even fixed a ventilating issue that was not their job to fix (thank you!). They were courteous to us all working and virtual learning from home. They were even patient and friendly to my overly affectionate and excitable dog.At the end, Victor walked us through everything. Gave us a tutorial about the thermostat and helped us understand our systems. These guys are experts and professionals. Long story short, hire them. You and your wallet will not be disappointed!

Unfortunately, I did not use this HVAC service, a driver was doing approximately 70 mph on my street(45 mph) .Moreno Avenue in Lakeside.And I would rather get overcharged by mauzy . drivers pass by my house every day with respect.

I was referred to My Guy from my real estate agent Pete Casperson who I trust implicitly for good local companies for home improvement needs. He gave me Caleb’s info, the owner of My Guy and Caleb came out to give us an estimate to upgrade our AC/Furnace, replace all our duct work and re-locate our units upstairs. Caleb was great, very easy to talk to and offered me a competitive price. I was not looking for the cheapest but I was also not looking to pay a premium price for this big project. I found My Guy to come in with a fair price for top end equipment. When it came time for install our head installer Storm was punctual and great to work with. He explained the process all the way along and kept our home clean during the process which was important to us. After the work was complete, we had Storm come out to do some minor adjustments and he was again very punctual and made our needs a priority. I think that some companies have a big sense of urgency at the time of install but the service levels fall off big time if you need follow up serve. It has only been a week but I have already referred out My Guy to a neighbor and plan to refer them to anyone in need of their services.

After one company came out and failed miserably at repairing my air conditioning issue, My Guy sent CJ who was extremely professional and knowledgeable. 150% fantastic customer service and a professional accurate job. The old system couldnt be saved My guy sent Alex and Storm out to put in the new system. Again 150% fantastic customer service and a 10 star rating on their installation skills. They thoroughly explained the original problem and how the previous company failed. The owner Caleb stopped by too! I recommend them if you want fast reliable service from a great group of people that work together to make the customer happy.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Top notch customer service from start to finish. Fair pricing and reliable. Brian our tech did a fantastic job with the diagnosis of our furnace problem. He tried to keep it running for a few more months but in the end we decided on a whole new system as ours was 16 years old and more repairs down the road would be needed. He presented all options and costs in a very professional manner, and it was easy to make a decision knowing all the facts. The installers, Ramiro( and the other 2 gentlemen I did not get names, sorry) arrived on time and were very respectful of our home. They worked efficiently and had the new system up and running in about 5 hours. Dealing with customers myself, I really appreciated every facet of a job well done. Its hard to find companies you can trust, but this is definitely one you can call with confidence. Thanks again for the great customer service, you guys rock!

Very knowledgeable and pricing was comparable to other companies. We had previous problems with a different company via our home warranty. I called My Guy and the front desk personal were very nice. They sent over Brian, who discovered several issues and was very thorough; he was here for several hours and emailed me his documentation/photos afterwards. Gave us several options and we opted for a new furnace. Install was smooth and the techs were nice and handled everything with care. We did have an issue with a new furnace that was installed; Brian was here very quickly and fixed the problem quickly, free of charge (was a manufacturer part problem, nothing that the My Guy techs did)! Brian is very nice and knows his craft well! They offer a great service warranty with their installs!

Great experience!! Brian inspected and serviced our air-conditioner, he took pictures in the attic to show us the ducts and issues that had to be replaced, cleaned, or serviced. He explained everything. Work areas were spotless before he left! He also saved us thousands of dollars. We bought this house less than 2 years ago. Our furnace went out a few days ago so we called a (non-MyGuy) hvac service to come look at it. The serviceman found that the control/circuit board was erroring, and said that since its a My Guy furnace and looks fairly new, we should call them and see if its still under warranty. So we called My Guy and told them the situation, they said theyd call back. 24 hours later they hadnt returned our call so we called again. Explained the situation again, and the lady on the phone said that the furnace was under warranty but that their warranty doesnt transfer between owners. This sounded insane and somewhat illegal to me, but she put me on hold for a few minutes, came back and said that because we called a different service company to look at it rather than My Guy, the warranty is now definitely void. Maybe she had put me on hold to reconsider their policy? Anyway, I said how much does the part cost and how soon can you fix it, and she said the soonest she could get a service person out was one week, and that they cant estimate costs until the service person is at the house. So assuming the part takes a week, the soonest we could get heat was two weeks away and there is no way to know how much it will cost. This is the craziest interaction with a company Ive had in quite awhile. Not only do I not recommend My Guy furnaces, I almost would rip this one off the wall and replace it with another brand just to get their name out of my garage.

We called My Guy heating and Air to troubleshoot our heating system. The technician arrive on time and was courteous and very professional. As soon as he commenced troubleshooting it became clear that he knew is business! He talked me through the troubleshooting and to the eventual repair quickly and professionally. Before we knew it, our system was back up and running like new. An outstanding experience...! Although it took some time to confirm the appointment, it was definitely well worth the wait. My original review was three years ago and yes they were a great company to deal with, however, lets talk about this year.Called to have my 1 of 2 yearly routine maintenance services done and NO one answered the phone and the voice mail was full. After several attempts I assumed something had happened and they would be in touch as I had prepaid for my maintenance services. No communication received from My Guy. And then out of the blue I get a call from Tarpy who says My Guy has gone out of business and they bought their list of clients and would honor the prepaid service agreements. Great (I thought)! Tarpy comes out and $4,000 later makes repairs that we understood to be things that should have been fixed all along. And, then to my surprise on June 16th I received a phone call and a text from My Guy wanting to schedule my maintenance service. I was told My Guy has a new owner and Tarpy some how got a hold of the client list and reached out to clients. YES THEY DID. A simple phone call text, email, or some kind of communication from My Guy in the beginning would have been nice but to leave us stranded is NOT COOL!Wow, what a great company to work with! From the ladies in the office (very professional and sooo understanding) to Nicholas the technician. Bless his heart, Nicholas came to our house after having dental work done and was so interested in getting us heat. And he did, Thank you! Love this company so much we purchased the one year service agreement. Its nice to know that we will be taken care of in the future. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I had just had my AC tuned up the month before, but it stopped working. There was air blowing, but not cold air. I used My Guy Heating and Air rather than the company that did the tune up because of my schedule and the need for a service appointment ASAP. Brian Armstrong was my technician and he was timely, kind and very informative. The service that was needed for my AC unit should have been caught by the prior company, but was not. They didnt clean the unit or provide a screen. My Guy Heating and Air will do that all and more for about the same price. He educated me for the future and I feel much more secure with their service than any prior company. The office is also very pleasant to work with.

While looking for an annual maintenance service for our heating/cooling unit, I stumbled across My Guy & their amazing reviews. I contacted them the same day & was able to make an appointment for a little over a week out - on a Saturday, no less! They gave a window & advised that wed receive a call from the tech prior to their arrival. Plus, their membership is only $99 a year for two visits - you really cant beat it.Thankfully, it wasnt all too good to be true. CJ was our technician and, as promised, he called us about 20 minutes prior to arriving. He was friendly, efficient, thorough, & made sure to answer all of our questions about our unit. He did an excellent job of explaining what needed to be done and why. So far so good! I signed up with My Guy for their $99 program, which includes an A/C tune-up as well as a heater tune-up when it gets cold. In addition, there is 15% off any needed parts or repairs if you maintain your membership. Carrie was very helpful in setting the appointment, and Donavan and Brian were very thorough and professional in their duties and diagnosis. I would definitely recommend this company!

100% recommend this for any heating or AC issues. Finally, a company who really looks after their customers. They have at least two of the best service tech in all of San Diego county. CJ and Gerrard (hopefully spelled correctly) really made sure everything was running again and kept the cost down. That really means a lot when you have an unexpected bill. Have to say the office staff was impressive as well. Was able to get my appointment sooner and that mattered when I didnt have any heat this winter. Jared from My Guy stopped by on Monday to do a regular maintenance and tune up. The outdoor unit was on the roof and he checked upon everything in great details and explained everything he found. He also helped clean the non-disposable filters installed. He finished the job quite quickly and answered questions I had. I would recommend My Guy and especially Jared Stein-Roe for any furnace/AC tune up.

We had problem with our heater. I called few places and had very upsetting problems and unethical treatment. Finally, called My Guy, talked to great dispatcher.She send us Brian (Brian Armstrong). The My Guy team was awesome. They got me in for an A/C tune-up really quickly, and that was despite me calling just a day before an imminent heatwave. Brian Armstrong was the technician. I loved how he was able to explain everything in a logical and palatable format. My Guy did an excellent job finishing an a/c install that another company didn’t fully complete (drain pans and sealing ducts to attic unit). They later performed an annual maintenance of the a/c units. They were careful to not make a mess. CJ, the technician, did a thorough job, explained things clearly and had a great attitude. I’m very happy with my guy heating and air. I bought a new unit from them last year after my old unit from 20 + years ago finally quit working . The team is very professional, from the front office to the techs who install and do repair. They do a great job . If there is ever any problem they are on top of it and easy to contact . I just had my 1st free tune up and Scott the tech did a great job fixing my thermostat and making sure my hvac unit is ready for the hot summer weather . First and foremost, the customer service is what stands out the most. I am glad they were able to make it out on a Saturday at no additional cost. They make sure to give you a courtesy phone call and e-mail the day before your scheduled appointment. Then, the technician also calls to give you a more exact ETA on the day of.Our technician CJ was very knowledgeable and took his time to explain and educate us on everything he was doing. Right when we explained our problem to him upon his arrival, he already had a diagnosis. He not only fixed what was wrong with the a/c unit, but also gave us options on how to prolong the life of our a/c. At no time did we feel pressured at all to upgrade/replace anything, but we did since we trusted CJs expertise in the field. The whole process took only about an hour. This company was very responsive to all my questions and were accommodating. I needed my furnace repaired and originally contacted a big name company with all the tv commercials and they showed up and diagnosed my issue (inaccurately) and left me hanging without responding to my calls . When I called My Guy, they came out right away and didnt charge me for a second opinion. They provided an accurate diagnosis of the issue that I was having. The tech gave me all my options and even stuck around to heat my house on the coldest evening in winter. He ordered the parts needed and returned relatively quickly to repair. I love these guys. Before I gave them the job to replace both heating and air condition system, I interviewed and received quotes from several other companies. I listened to their presentation and recommendations. Caleb was the only one to do a thorough review of my current system before making recommendations. My Guy is a terrific company. In the middle of a long heat wave, I was able to get a next day appointment. (Thanks to Carrie and a cancellation) Brian came on time the next morning. He got to work right away and the first thing he did was turn on the A/C. Would you believe it…the A/C started working… cold air & all??? I had tried to restart it several times over the last few days and only warm air came out every time!!! I was afraid Brian was going to say it was working fine, give me a bill for the service call, then leave…but, thank goodness, he did not. He found the problem in less than 10 minutes and showed me the parts. One was melted and both were covered in oil. I knew the 30+ yr old system needed to be replaced but I could not afford it. Brian was very understanding and never tried to pressure me into buying a new unit. Instead, he gave my old A/C unit CPR and put it on Life Support with the hopes that it will make it thru the summer. All things considered, the bill was very reasonable. Brian came over and a cold and very rainy late day call. Very quickly diagnosed a wiring error from previous contractors who had installed the smart thermostat. Checked heat and air and verified everything worked, and only charged us a minimal fee.What really impressed me about Brian and his service was that even though it was raining and muddy (we had to make multiple trips to the compressor outside the house) he was very conscientious about making sure not to track mud in the house.A contractor who worries about the little things can be trusted with the big things.We now have a new heating and air service team! I would not recommend this business, I had a very disappointing experience with them. In late 2019 they installed a new furnace in our attic, which worked for a little while, but stopped heating sometime in Jan or February. It needed a new part, a wand like device that heated the air. By the time they a new part and installed it, several very cold weeks, the heating season was over. When it started to get cold later in the year, we cranked up the heat, it worked somewhat, but not as it should have, in retrospect. Then I got a $550 gas bill, which got my attention. I called them, they came out and said that, somehow the vent separated from the furnace. They fixed it, left, and denied they had anything to do with the screwup. They were the only people that even went into our attic during that time. I thought this was very disappointing, and called them asking to talk to the owner, still waiting their call six months later.

So happy with the service I received! My AC stopped working in the early morning and I called them at 8am. They were able to get someone out the same day to take a look. This was in the middle of a heatwave and I know their service was in high demand. I received a confirmation e-mail of my scheduled appointment time, a phone call when the technician was on his way, as well as an e-mail of the technicians photo.When the technician, Donavan, arrived he was extremely professional and polite. Call me impressed! Brian Armstrong gave me a call letting me know he was on his way. Thats very important. Some guys at other companies say they will do it, and then never do. Thankfully, Brian did! Just had the pleasure of doing business with My Guy Heating and Air. My AC stopped working because I attempted to replace my old, battery operated thermostat with a new WiFi thermostat, but I couldnt get it to work.Tried putting the old one back on and when I turned the power back on, only the blower would run non-stop and the 3 amp fuse would blow. Oops!I called around to about 12 different HVAC companies and solo outfits, some never returned my phone call and others offered me service appointments two weeks later!So, I called My Guy Heating and Air. Left a voicemail and a few hours later I actually got a call back! Kay was able to setup an appointment within four days, due to the heat wave, they were booked solid and that was the best she could do. So, I took it!What followed was amazing! I received several email updated about my pending appointment. The day before, Kay called to confirm my appointment date and time.The day of the appointment I receive another email update and then the service technician, Jared, called when he was about 30 mins away.Then Jared shows up promptly at my door. Hes got his ladder, uniform and booties to put over his shoes and hes ready to start fixing my AC! Jared laid down a blanket under the ladder, to catch any debris falling from the attic access.Jared was shocked to find a veritable rats nest of HVAC wires and cabling from previous HVAC technicians and apparently they did a really, really shoddy job of cabling the new furnace we had installed in 2018.So, after about an hour and a half up in the sweltering attic, Jared cleaned up their mess and now all of the wiring and nice and neat and easier to work with in the future. Jared then proceeded to wire up my new WiFi thermostat and low and behold, it actually turned on and started working!!! Jared set it to heating mode and made sure the furnace was firing up. Then changed it to cool mode and it turned on the compressor and started blowing cool, refreshing air!I was just so impressed with My Guy Heating and Air. Specifically with Jareds professional work ethic and how much pride he takes in his work! C.J. Just came out today for our free once a year HVAC checkup. It came with the new HVAC we purchased for our 1600 sq. foot one story home in R.B. I think we get 2 years of free 2 times per year inspections? We purchased our new HVAC from My Guy in spring 2017 and we did not go for the bottom of the line unit because we wanted a long lasting, well working system and we didnt want to cheat ourselves by going for the low option. We thought we paid a lot for the system, but as it turns out, had we gone with one of the companies that we see advertising on TV all of the time, we would have paid about 5K to 10K more than with My Guy! Crazy how much these things cost! So we bit the bullet and purchased the better system and we have been super happy with the system, heater & A.C. and My Guy. They are quick, clean, courteous, honest. Genuinely nice guys to have come in to your home. They always wear booties without having to be told to. Clean, meticulously groomed and professional. They are a smaller, family run business by Caleb and his wife who is in the office and sets up and confirms the appointments. She is more all business on the phone. We didnt feel ripped off. We felt we received a great product for what we paid, great follow up and especially liked C.J. because he showed up when he said he would. He didnt keep us waiting. He was super informative about the system and the best way for us to use it. We didnt feel like we had a bunch of strangers and gawkers in our house. I felt comfortable and safe as a female. I found these guys on a radio show. Had a feeling they were who they claimed to be: honest, transparent, and reasonably priced. Donavan is my service guy, and hes great. Always puts his shoe protectors on while in the house- even if walking in the front and out the back ! Hes thorough and informative in his explanations. Offers to do small additional things without charge. Checks and double checks. Tells me current state of equipment, and projects when I might want to think about more expensive maintenance - and doesnt try to sell me on changes and upgrades prematurely. Only suggests repairs that are indicated by malfunction or out of spec. Willing to return without service fee even if something breaks he checked out as OK on my bi-annual checkups. My guy team saved the day/night! Our AC stopped cooling and after seeing reviews on the Nextdoor app, Yelp and Google set up an appt with the friendliest receptionist. They couldnt get us in for a few days but seemed like worth the wait based on all positive reviews. Our apppointment day comes and since it is summer they were swamped and the receptionist advised during my appt time window that Brian was still out on another service call. I said no problem we will wait (I mean the day finally came whats a couple more hours?) Brian called us on his way and we explained what the issues we were having upon arrival. They were so good. SCOTT came last week. He was young and smart. Figured out it was dirt. And low freon. Waived the service fee in exchange for a little more cash. Today, CJ came. At the main unit on the property. It was super. I had put the fuse in upside down. Fi ex. He went on to check ther very old unit. We found a dead gecko near the switch and it was pitted and likely to fuse. So again the part was a bit over $200. No service fee. Rare to see a perfect score.
