Highly recommend using My Asian Nanny as your nanny referral agency! Let me tell you why: Stephanie and her staff are friendly, professional, and will work really hard to find a nanny who will meet a variety of needs. Admittedly, the first nanny we hired did not work out (through absolutely no fault of the service) and Stephanie went above and beyond to quickly find someone who would better match with our family, because she truly cares that the families she helps are happy. I felt like I was asking a friend! That led us to Maria (her Chinese name is Lingxiao Zheng, Maria is her American name) and SHE IS AMAZING! She incredibly knowledgeable, she is so kind, helpful, patient (a must with newborns!), and loving toward our baby and our whole family. She is even a certified massage therapist and can help with post partum pain/ soreness. Maria is also a lactation expert! We chose to use formula for our baby and Maria was so respectful and supportive of our choice. Everything she has done for our family has been helpful. We have an older child, but I basically forgot everything I learned and Maria helped reassure us (well, me) about normal newborn behavior and growth. One thing in particular she helped with was our babys gas symptoms. Gas is expected with a brand-new digestive system and Maria used holistic/ non- medical ways such as warm therapy and baby massage to relieve our babys gas and IT WORKS! I was amazed and she taught us how to continue that for our baby. She has the unique experience of having worked with many newborns and it really helped me, as a nervous mom! Maria cares so much about the well-being of our baby, me, and the rest of our family and I couldnt have asked for anything more. She even helps us all get some sleep! Maria is also open to whatever choices families make for their baby and will always respectfully honor their requests. We have been so happy, we extended her contract with us, though I wish she could stay forever! Maria has been an invaluable part of our family during this transition to a family of 4. Something to note: we are an American family and do not have any cultural ties to the Asian part of this unique nanny service and Maria is THE BEST and bridging this gap. Not only is her English excellent, but she also has shared so much of her experiences as an expat in the US! Maria would be fantastic working with any family! I feel very lucky to have Maria be with us and will always be grateful to Stephanie and My Asian Nanny for facilitating bringing such a wonderful person into our lives!

For those looking for a nanny to take care of their little ones, I would honestly look elsewhere. There is definitely no internal screening process as the quality of their nannies are extremely poor. Although I do agree that finding a good nanny is often a lottery draw, you will likely not have luck here. It seems as if any random Asian lady can sign up to have them marketed to unsuspecting customers. I would gladly pay a higher referral fee for better quality candidates to save future headaches. Warning. Use their service at your own risk.

**REVIEW FROM A FAMILY OF LAWYERS**My wife found this agency and decided to go in and interview with a family from Pasadena. She was promised and informed that there was an agency fee that would be clearly explained if the family liked her.Shortly after, we received a rude text and phone call from Stephanie demanding an arbitrary agency fee up front because the family wanted to move forward.Stephanie called 2 times repeatedly demanding a payment - even after my wife asked for the details and how the agency fee was calculated, she refused to provide this information clearly in writing over text message, presumably because she doesnt want anything in writing.I had to call her myself to clarify (using English), and Stephanies attitude and demeanor were terrible. I asked:-How the agency fee was calculated-Why it was paid upfront-If the fee would be refunded should the family not like the nanny-For a contract in writing, which is normal before giving any company an agency fee in the United States*Keep in mind, none of this is written clearly anywhere online, inside their physical location, or printed and taped on a wall, in either English or Mandarin*Using constantly shifting wording and unclear English, she attempted to explain how the agency fee was calculated, switching the number of days as I began to calculate the amount myself. She was extremely disrespectful, blaming me and saying I should have asked all of these questions in the office, and that everything is taped on the wall.The issue is we did ask verbally, and we were told that the agency fee would be paid slowly over the first month of employment as a 10% charge per day.The information taped on the wall DOES NOT explain *when* the agency fee is paid, and definitely does not mention a lump sum payment up front before the nanny even provides any care or arrives at the clients house.With regards to a written contract, she told me this is free will. In USA, everybody knows that, its normal. There is no contract. I will not (and you should not), out of free will, send a large sum of money to a business that has no contract protecting either party.I understand an agency connects families and nannies, and of course earn their fair share in the process.BUT, they also have a responsibility to protect both the family and the nanny. Based on my experience and other reviews from families looking for nannies, it seems both sides are being treated wrongly.Do yourself a favor and find another agency that is transparent, respectful, and trustworthy.

We used my Asian nanny for hourly helper search. Stephanie and Diane was quick on their search. They give us many candidates and after interview, they gave us some helpful suggestions. We tried couple candidates and landed on 1. The helper is a good cook and is clean. We would recommend their service to our friends.
