We chose MV Automotive to service our 2 year old Mercedes GLC after the dealership quoted us $1185 for unnecessary services. When we asked the dealer to scrap all of the non-sense, they brought the quote down to $800. MV Automotive saved us over $500! The front office gal was super friendly and pleasant. The customer service is top-notch! They even give you a welcome goody bag! The lobby was comfortable which allowed me to remotely work while I waited. They are our new “go-to mechanic”.

My husband and I travel full-time in our 2006 Sprinter Van and we had a coolant leak that needed to be addressed. I was referred to MV Automotive by a local Auburn friend who use to own an old Sprinter. MV got us in right away, inspected the vehicle in a timely manner and did an incredible job fixing a few things lurking under the hood to get us back on the road quickly. Lindsey was awesome, and so thoughtful trying to get the job done quickly since we live in the Van while traveling. Highly recommend!

These guys go out of there way to help and assist your needs. Friendly environment and professional st all times. I’ve been driving now going on 60 years and never got this type of treatment. It’s more family than anything else.They do it all, from regular maintenance to major repairs or replacements. I was just there for regular maintenance and quick review of my Audi. Absolutely no pressure, just a walk around while she was up on the lift. For me, that’s impressive.

Brought my Mercedes G-Wagon here they were able to bring it in on the day I needed work. Staff was very kind and courteous as well as, most importantly, knowledgeable. They know what they are doing. These guys are the best. Customer service and flexibility is great. Mechanics are fast and professional. The last time I brought my car in, I told them if the air filters were dirty, go ahead and replace them. When I came back for my car, they said the filters were good for awhile longer. Didnt try to upsell or take advantage in any way. Best shop Ive ever used!

I took my Audi Q7 in to have the Motor mounts replaced. It is now running smother and quieter. I have never had a company do a follow up on their service like they have. My initial request for an appointment was done via MV Automotive online portal. I received a timely phone call the next day from Michael responding to my inquiry. He invited me to visit his shop location to further discuss issues with my Mercedes Benz S550, and to conduct a thorough inspection. His shop was very clean! After his inspection, he provided me with photos and a detailed report of the problems and his recommendations for repairs. I pride myself on keeping up with scheduled maintenance and I know my car well. I was impressed with Michael’s professionalism, honesty and vehicle expertise! His diagnosis of the issues were accurate and I was pleased with the repair services performed. My experience at MV Automotive was something else! The facilities were very clean, welcoming, and nicely decorated. They have drinks, magazines, and activity books available in their waiting area; the receptionist we worked with was very friendly, helpful, and professional; not to mention the relatively quick service. The day that I visited, I only had emissions done for my vehicles, but the service, cost, and speed were exceptional! I was even given a gift bag at the end of my visit!In terms of service, professionalism, and speed, MV Automotive is an excellent place to take your vehicle for emissions services at least, but probably excellent for care of your vehicle as well. The odds of us using them again are nearly 100%, and well be sure to let our friends and family know about them.

Michael was incredible at sharing what was going on with my MK4 Jetta TDI. Lindsey was amazing at communicating and extremely helpful in the office. No other European or VW shop in the local area would take the time to actually discuss my concerns over the phone. MV Automotive did a great job, was extremely quick, and helped me understand the reasons why repairs were needed. Michael was also very knowledgeable on the ALH motor. MV Automotive went above and beyond! They are knowledgable and thorough, quick, communicate well, and made sure that when I left their shop I was confident in their work, that my car was vacuumed, and my windows were clean. I was also told they use OEM parts, which makes me feel better about the quality of my repairs.I have used other local mechanics who didnt specialize in foreign cars, and I will never do that again! Other mechanics dont always know how to source parts, or know the cars as well as these guys do. MV Automotive ran down several scenarios that could be causing my issues with my car, and a best case scenario and a worst. Ask a random one where s/he has their Euro service done and there it is.Have been a customer for a bit over 4 years; started out as a referral for my Range Rover which, of course, they became well acquainted with. So last week when I picked up a Mercedes CLS550, I knew exactly whom to entrust it to.Added benefit: You likely wont need a home equity line of credit to maintain your snazzy ride. Rates and service far more equitable / fair for both you and the shop vs what youll pass out about with the dealer. Thats why they have defibs down in Rocklin. I have no complaints.Michael is a Giant Head of Automotive Knowledge for you to plug into. And Lindsey - who will assist you upon arrival, visit and departure - is an absolute joy. Just TRY to be in a bad mood around her. Cant do it. Combined, they are the most competent shop leaders in Auburn.And one could perform surgery in the shop...it makes my OCD wanna sing songs by the campfire about how clean and organized it is.Highly recommend.

Dealership service departments treat your car like it’s a number - even when you work there! It’s pressure from the higher-ups that cause techs to not care about their quality of work. I’ve had too many bad experiencesAt MV Automotive, my car is treated like it is their own; like the mentality of treating others like how you would like to be treated - well, this is the same for my car. Their team is very thorough and honest, explaining any components that need replacing in the near future. They are very knowledgeable and know what they’re doing. They even worked with my 3rd party extended warranty (CarMax MaxCare). I am confident with their repairs and all the maintenance services I’ve done and won’t bring my baby anywhere else. My car had a part needing replaced and these people went above and beyond to work with extended car warranty to get my car back on the road in top shape. I value having a mechanic that specializes in German cars reasonably close to home. This is my go-to shop for my VWs. In the last 6 years they’ve done work on my old Mk4 Golf GLS (my first car), a Mk6 GTI, and my Mk7 R. I’ve always been happy with their professionalism and workmanship. Their office staff are knowledgeable and not pushy. They understand when I say I’ll deal with everything but fluids and wheels myself. I’ve never had any issues and will continue using this shop.

I was heading out on a camping and fishing trip with my son when my V70 XC began making a whining noise that I became concerned about. I was about 100 miles from home and randomly called MV Automotive in Auburn. What luck! I can not write enough compliments to the owner Mike and his staff. Even though every stall in his garage was filled, he fit me in right away, got my car on a lift and diagnosed the problem not as the transmission as I thought but the turbo. He advised me that the turbo was still working but showing signs of wear, so keep an eye on future noises, but I could still drive the car with confidence. In addition, he didnt charge me one cent for a complete safety inspection of my vehicle. Needless to say, my son and I had a great trip, and I could not get over the fact that people like Mike, his staff, and business still existed! Again thank you so much MV Automotive! I do have one regret, however, and that is I dont live closer to Auburn so my vehicle could be serviced at MV Automotive for the rest of its life.

I have been moving our household back to Tahoe and in the middle of a full carload haul up the mountain my 2007 E320 wont accelerate. Nightmare! They fit me in at the VERY end of the day, got the other parts first thin in the morning and had me back on the road by 10am. They are heroes! In addition, they are nice, go the extra mile, helped me not cry and lose it during my move. I also loved that Michael, the owner, actually shows you the issue under the hood as I love to learn and tinker. The entire shop is staffed by awesome people who smile and actually enjoy their work and it shows. I cannot speak more highly of the car services and staff. MV Auto took really good care of me. I went in for a smog check, and it was incredibly quick and cheap, even though I showed up without an appointment. The location is perfect to go grab some food from historic Auburn while you wait.They also gave my old 2001 bmw325xi a much needed lookover and found a couple other issues, including a slow leak in my radiator! Oof! They saved me from a potential catastrophic motor failure!It also helps that they are right next to Servicecenter Radiator, the best radiator shop in the California.

This company did a thorough brake inspection on my 2018 Q7 and explained that I needed rear brakes only. I said maybe you should replace the front too. The mechanic said come back in 10 months or so. You might need fronts then. That is honesty. I will be back

They do super quality work, have all the necessary software, plus are super conscientious and honest. Great personal service. Front brakes failed on my Ford f150 I was stranded, Peter told me to bring it in on a friday might I add. Had me back on the road in a few hours. I could tell they were slammed but he took me in anyway. He also diagnosed some other problems I was having with the vehicle.
