Wow! You just don’t come across genuine kindness very often and these guys are the real deal! They offer great customer service! After a couple of last minute changes on my part, they showed up on schedule, and completed my job quickly and with smiles on their faces! If anyone is looking for a moving company (they do big jobs and small jobs!) please use Murdocks! They really are nice people that do a fabulous job for a very reasonable rate!! The moving team was phenomenal!! They were the most hard-working, polite, accommodating and exceptional movers I have dealt with and I have dealt with many. It was a two-day move and not an easy one. Each of them made the experience so much better for us and I cant thank them enough for all of their hard work. This is the company you need to call if you are planning any size move!!!

I truly understand why they are rated so highly after using their service. I have never moved before yesterday so I was very new to this process. From start to finish these guys are truly top of the line. CJ was amazing in helping me get everything set up answering any questions I had and helped me do a full inventory of everything and helped made sure I had enough boxes when I ran out days before. I received replies super fast. All customer support should be like this.The movers themselves - they were super efficient chill, helpful and friendly. They helped unload our 2 bedroom Apt in under 3 hours which included taking apart 2 beds and moving LOTS of heavy items and helped us packed a few things too. They always asked what to take before they did it, wrapped and padded things thoroughly and asked and made sure they put everything in the right spot and were more than willing to move it if it wasn’t where we initially wanted it. If I’m ever in need of moving again, these are definitely the guys to go to. I cannot recommend them enough!

This company is just awesome! From David who did the estimating to all the guys Jarod, Sean, Amado, Adam and Anthony(on day one) that moved my 3 bedroom house into storage containers and fit everything into 3 containers! They worked so hard for two days to get it all done. They were all so professional, efficient and nice! It was also very impressive that Neacail came both days to get everything started and check on things and touch base with me. C.J. in the office was so patient, walked me through each step and offered suggestions that eased my stressed considerably. Adam G is an awesome lead and between him and Anthony rocked it! Timely, personable and communicated every step of the way. I greatly appreciate the care they took with wrapping up each item and the time to place everything where I had placed a sticky note. HUGE thank you to Adam and Anthony because of their organization skills and speed cut the time in half and saved me a considerable amount! They made my move so quick and effortless! Ive done this many times in the past and this was the least stressful move Ive ever had. They treated all of my possessions with care while still being efficient with time. I have some heavy, bulky furniture and lots of stairs in both locations, but they tackled both obstacles with no complaints.During the move, one item was accidentally damaged, but CJ in the office went out of her way to contact the manufacturer and get replacement parts shipped to me immediately. They have the best customer service and are realistic with cost estimates, and for me it was worth every penny!

But Neacail with Murdock’s alleviated a huge part of our moving stress by being extremely accommodating & dependable. The crew was organized, efficient while handling our possessions with care. They moved us from West Sacramento to Roseville, both multi level homes, so it was no easy move but they made the process seamless. Working with Murdocks Moving & Storage was great experience. We needed assistance unloading two containers after a cross country move; but didnt know exactly when they would be arriving. I called Murdocks and they were able to fit us into their schedule. Both Cody and Jack were awesome! Ive used Murdock moving services several times now. The professionalism and service you will receive is above other competitors in town. From the beginning of service, working with the Sales Representative David for estimation to the actual workers doing the job, hands down on top of it. Received follow up calls to make sure service had met expectation, as well as extra work off the clock in rainy weather by their operations manager Steven to make sure we were satisfied. Really responsive from the get go. We had a few changes and modification to the trip and locations along the way and CJ helped and made it easy. Great crew and got us moved on time and with no problems. Even the estimator that drove an hour just to get pictures and the estimate was great. This was a business move and fairly local and those are the worst but if we have to do it again we will be calling Murdocks!

EXCELLENT experience moving with Murdocks at every level. They moved furniture and a mattress up a very narrow windy staircase for me and in like no time at all. They filled a 2b 3 level apartment so fast.CJ helped me schedule my moving appointment and was great to talk. She followed up with me many times to confrim time slots and to check in if I had questions. I was able to text her evenings and weekends and reschedule the time when I needed. The movers were professional, quick, and thoughtful. They made sure they followed my precise directions and appreciated that I was ready and knew where I wanted each item. Started out wonderfully, ended up a disaster.... They came out to our home in Paradise to do a walk through bid. Spending enough time to see the entire project, they send a formal quote a few days later.Several months later after wed contracted with them, literally the week of the move, they doubled the quote, saying they needed another truck and more manpower. It was impossible at that point to find another available mover ( this was 2021, the hight of covid ). We moved from northern California to northern Arizona, and had rented a number of large storage units for that purpose.The movers arrived late at night and shoved all of our belongings into these storage units, breaking glass tables, damaging many art objects and furnishings. When Id complained, the owner was a jerk, and said file a claim... A very bad experience, never to be repeated, and it cost almost $15,000.... from the original $7,500 quote...

The job consisted of moving my living & dining room furniture to the garage so that new flooring could be put in. The movers were so courteous & respectful of our items. Everything was well wrapped, protected, & organized. They were knowledgeable about how to disassemble my grandfather clock, labeling the weights, so that when different movers arrived to move the furniture back in, the instructions were clear - and the clock is working perfectly. These guys deserve a fabulous review. The company gave me an accurate monetary estimate, they called when they were on their way. They arrived right on time. They were personable and professional in everything that they did. They gave me some very very helpful advice on items that had been in storage for a long time. They finished the job with 15 minutes to spare and credited me for the time saved. I would classify myself as an anxious mover, and they took such good care of me and my belongings that if I could give them a rating higher than 5 stars, I would. They went to 11! Murdock was awesome helping us move from Chico to Lake Almanor in the middle of the winter, in the middle of two big snow storms. We had a real quick timeline, basically one week to pack and move. The guys were great helping us pack everything in two days (2800 sq ft home). They had two bobtail trucks that they packed up on day two. On day three, they made the normally 1.25 hour trip in 3 hours because the road was covered in ice and snow. They got to our new home at 11 a.m. and were back on the road at 3 pm so they could off of highway 32 before the ice started reforming. It was an amazing 3 days!They had a great attitude and did a great job!

Used Murdock’s moving to move apartments last minute after water damage to my old apartment. Cody M and Sean H were absolutely awesome. Despite the heat and the multiple staircases they were troopers and got everything moved in a very efficient way. They also showed great care for our electronics and some paintings and made sure everything got moved without any damage.

I thought I had my move planned well. I was wrong. I could get the fridge and some heavier items into the uhaul, but was so exhausted I couldnt get them out safely. I called at 11am when I finally gave up and they worked hard to squeeze me in, giving me a window from 12-3pm. No kidding, probably 45 minutes later Cody M and Jack V showed up and within 20 minutes had everything done. They worked quickly, were very respectful, charismatic, and made me feel like it was no big deal. Those men are strong! Hefted 2 desks up to the second floor like it was nothing (I honestly thought I was going to have to get rid of them because I couldnt get them up). They were amazing. I really cannot highly recommend this company more. Id give 10 stars if I could.

Murdocks moved me this past weekend from Sacramento to Chico, and I was really impressed with the guys who assisted! Adam, Thomas, and Trevor worked their tails off for over 8 hours, and made one of lifes most stressful events much more bearable. My only frustration was that the original estimate was quite a bit lower than the final bill, which surprised me because I was a lot more packed & prepared than I had originally anticipated during the virtual walkthrough. That being said, I would still use Murdocks again for a future move. Theyre rated #1 in Chico for a reason!

I couldn’t have had a better moving experience! The movers arrived on time and were incredibly professional. They had my 3 bedroom packed up in 4 hrs. Nothing broke on the one hour drive and they navigated into my new narrow driveway with ease to unload. They reassembled everything and even helped with an issue regarding a neighbor needing a furniture piece left by the previous owners. It was honestly such a great deal for the value and I can’t recommend them enough. Adam, Ryan and Rylan are an amazing asset to the company.

These movers are very efficient and careful! I appreciated when I first called this company, they sent me an example invoice of everything this move would cost me, what they covered, and the services provided. They picked up our furniture from the Big lots in Chico, took all the stuff to our new home, and patiently assembled everything and put stuff in the places we selected. This was my first time hiring movers for a move and it was the best decision I could have made. From planning to scheduling, the whole team at Murdocks made it easy. They quoted me an acceptable rate and let me know that it could fluctuate depending on what happens on move day (i.e. needing more time or not as much). Throughout the process, there was great communication.On move day, Sean, John and Adam (hopefully I got those spellings right) showed up right on time. Not only did these guys take great care with my belongings, they were also incredibly friendly and even answered all of my dumb questions about their work. They seemed to actually have a good time doing the work and that is something I really appreciated. I would gladly hire these guys again.TLDR: If you hate moving, hire Murdocks. We were moving from our home in Chico to our new house in between Oroville and Bangor. Our new home is very difficult to get to. The house is in a canyon between two large hills. The dirt road to get here is really tough with very tight switchbacks. The road on the property is the same, but going up to the main house, its really steep. Most vehicles spin out before they can reach the main house. Im writing all of this to let you know what Juan, Pat, and Sean (our movers) went through to get here. We had 7 large and heavy items that needed moving and even though they came upon larger issues about getting everything to fit through the door, they made sure that it got done. For example, our refrigerator depth was the wider than the doorway. They removed the doors carefully, made sure to disconnect the wires in the doors properly and were able to put everything back together correctly. To give another example. Pat and Sean lifted our piano by hand into the house!This was the third company that I called to make sure that they could even make it to our house. I cannot even describe to you the above and beyond of what they did. I could go on and on, but I think Ive made it very clear of how good this company is. Oh! One more thing. The whole time their attitudes were upbeat!Thank you guys for making our move complete!

My goodness, I can only speak accolades about Murdocks. I was able to move across the state and avoid so much stress by having these wonderful movers under my hire. Before moving some several hours away I had additional furniture in another city that I needed collected en route, and Murdocks made those logistics a breeze.From first reaching out they were quite prompt and professional in turn around and communication. I was able to get someone same day out to inventory my items for an estimate. Dylan, I believe, was prompt, thorough, and accurate with his estimate. He was as patient as he was charming in fielding my questions and gave me a great competitive rate.When moving day came, I met the two primary movers handling my things, Adam and Cody, at the nearby stop location. They were bright and attentive, and respectful of the furniture they werent to take. They were both kindly and made pleasent conversation while being both patient and understanding about my dog.As we arrived at my home later for the primary load up, they were joined by Ryan, Rileyn, and Vince who all disassembled and moved everything into the moving truck with great speed and a generally jovial climate. They needed very little direction and showed good respect for my things, and they exceeded both my expectations and timeline for the day.On the following day, in the destination city, only Adam and Cody came to unload but it didnt take even hardly any longer, such was their proficiency. I even was a touch wishy-washy on where I wanted my bed but they were happy to oblige disassembling and reassembling it to better suit the space. Their patience continued to endure my nosey and curious dog, and I felt very at ease during the whole process, contrary to some previous moving stress Ive experienced. Called Nick Murdock and asked him to come to our home. We were impressed with this young man and the cost was in our budget. Nick kept contact with us prior to our move date. I was able to message/email Nick with questions and he would respond. The day that Nick and his employees arrived with truck and trailer they started the process like a well oiled machine. We are pleased that we hired Murdock’s Moving & Hauling for our out of state move. The only thing that I wish we knew prior to packing would be to have marked all electrical/charging cords with the item it goes with. Also, we could of better marked the items in each box. This is the most professional movers I have ever seen. It sends me message when they were on the way, when they arrived, and when they finished. I booked 8 am on a Sunday, they came at 7:55 am. Love love love these guys. The crew was the most friendly group of workers. They showed up and wanted to see what we had before they began putting the items in the vans. Even tho we were a tiny bit picky about how it was loaded they didnt care. They all had fun while they worked. They had 3 classrooms and the office all put in 2 trucks with in 3 hours. I had an out of town move which was done during a pretty wet and windy storm. I was concerned if they would make the trip over to the coast at first, but I got the confirmation that they were still coming and they showed up as promised and did a professional job carefully packing our stuff in the truck. The movers were a little late, but made up for it by being very quick (less than 2 hours to get our belongings from a 1 bedroom out and into the new place), with moving and they also wrapped our furniture in blankets. These folks really care about delivering quality and expertise to the customer, and do so with a maximum of concern and a minimum of fuss. It can be a bit disconcerting to see a batch of strangers in your home quickly wrapping up old and valuable furniture, but in a long move from California to Washington state, none of my valuables were maimed or destroyed; I have several pieces of large, vintage stained glass and each arrived as if they has just been carried down the block by a concerned neighbor.Having been moved more than once, I can usually tell within minutes whether the choice I have made is a good one; the national movers often arrive with huge truck already half-loaded with someone elses goods, and are largely insensitive to the mover; the Murdock team seems personally invested, each member diligent, asking questions if needed, or answering them politely if asked--the company is solution oriented.I have no hesitation in awarding a top rating to this defiantly local group, whose pricing is more than fair, and whose planning, from the first moment connecting with scheduling master Jeremy, to the last drop off at the destination, demonstrates a job done with strength, care and good humor.

My husband and I used Murdocks to move a 10 ft custom walnut conference table from a very tight space, not to be scratched or compromised as it was sold and needed to be delivered. They showed up on time with a sizeable crew who were organized, collaborative, orderly and were a fabulous team. They also were physically fit and more than capable of this tremendous task. This 700 lb table needed to be twisted and turned and only had clearance of less than an inch from clearing an overhang. I took video as I was amazed! Bravo to this great crew! Highly recommended!

I contracted with Murdocks to remove some old restaurant appliances and haul them to the dump. They did a great job. One very wide refrigerator unit wouldnt make it around a corner whole but they went the extra mile, removed the doors and got it out of the building. I will use them again.

I called Murdocks Moving & Hauling on Black Friday. Nick picked up on first ring. Scheduled movers to be at my house Monday morning at 8:30am! $130 per hour.Monday Jesse called to let me know they would be 15 minutes later which I appreciated. Jesse and Eddie were my movers. I showed them what I wanted moved and they got to work. They were very pleasant and friendly.I had a roomful of Goodwill items and Jesse mentioned that they can take them too for a fee. I said Sure! And my mattresses to the dump.Efficient, moving all the time and playing music. Loved it.Took a total of 6 hours despite the fact that their truck broke down in the middle of town. The tow truck brought them to the new house and unloaded the stuff. My fridge would not fit through any doors of the house! They took off the doors of the fridge with my permission. Got fridge in house and put doors back on.They had to call the tow truck to get back to Chico. Great guys!I have already recommended this company to several people.Very happy with Murdocks!

Jake & Hayden were great! It was a hard 16 hour move with 8 hours of loading & unloading; and 8 hours of driving roundtrip. They kept a positive, energetic attitude the whole time and helped so much with disassembling & reassembling my furniture (which I definitely could not have done on my own). The day of the move they were on time and even though we had two locations and one tricky dip in the road, they made it work. The trip north went well and everything arrived safe and sound. Im very protective over my stuff, but they proved to be very reliable.Jake and Paul arrived on time, were incredibly professional and worked quickly, while still being incredibly careful with my items. They took care to wrap each item securely, and even took one of my large mirrors safely (wrapped well in protective padding) in their truck.When we arrived at the new place, they attentively asked where I wanted each item, and even assembled my Cal King bedframe for me and set the entire thing up!The price was fantastic and the quality of work was even better. This is a part one review. We complicated matters by packing up our 2700 sqft house and stowing the majority in the garage. Except our plans were foiled partly due to Covid, partly aging backs. We called several companies and while it was a tough decision, went with Murdocks. They were friendly, local, professional, and very easy to work with from top to bottom. There were a few hiccups (none of their doing) but they were very amenable to working through them with us. Within 5 hours they had our things tucked safe into storage and when the time comes, will be hauling it out-of-state to our new home. And we have every bit of peace knowing it will be done right then, too. Highly recommend Murdocks Moving, you cant go wrong!

Nick Murdock, the owner, was very organized as were his employees; Covid 19 did not get in the way. The men wore masks and gloves and all furniture was wrapped in moving quilts before it was taken out to the truck. They stayed in contact via cell phone once the truck left Roseville. I must confess that I was not as organized as I planned. None of this disturbed their work. My belongings arrived without damage in a timely way. I have moved 29 times in my long life and can honestly say this company was the best of all. I will use them whenever I move again. Nick is a professional and so are his movers. Murdocks gave me the best quote, which is why I went with them, though in the end their actual price was considerably more than the quote so it turned out pretty much on par with the other companies.
