I had been with Mercury Insurance for several years for both my Homeowners Insurance and Automobile Insurance. MPX Insurance Services is my agent for both.Mercury Insurance has made sudden policy changes to Homeowners Insurance renewal and I decided to move to another provider. I am very disappointed with Mercury Insurance.As for the MPX Insurance Services I only have good things to say. In particular I want to mention one Morgan Joseph who went out of her way to find another Insurance company who would provide me Homeowners Insurance, but it was too late. I wish MPX Insurance acted pro-actively.

Michelle Dunlop is awesome. She has been a big help to me, first with dealing with my mortgage company when they were asking for an unreasonable hurricane deductible, and again when my insurance company dropped me for my little 4ft. above ground pool. Michelle went above and beyond to find an insurance company that would accept my pool with better rates than the company that dropped me. She is always there with answers and willing to help. Very unhappy customer with Mercury and MPX, they billed my lender 2x for the home policy, in December 2022 and January 2023, if I do not call my lender regarding one of the policies when would I have found out? ( we are in May 2023 ), I drove under 12k miles last year and they quoted me and billed for 55k miles for 1 driver and 3 vehicles, they made me replace the roof on my property and then they cancelled me when under contract with a company, they made me buy a Costco membership for additional discounts that never received, refunds for cancelled policies not received in a timely manner, spoke to Wally Rios but nothing was done, they were good at the beginning but do not recommend this companies to anyone.

Having been dropped by Nationwide on my Homeowners Policy because I live in a rural area and now considered a fire zone I needed to find a replacement. MPX helped me a few years back as I was in the same situation. I am so grateful to Sandy Kasha for going above and beyond setting up not only my new new Homeowners policy but also Auto Insurance and the California Fair Plan. She was on top of everything. Although the reviews are great for this company I have yet to see the professionalism and or follow up. Ive been emailing for a week. After being responded to. After initial contact I could not get anyone on the phone. Nor the person that I was emailing with never replied. And when they did I tried reaching back. Ive made calls and tried emails. To no avail. If this is the first impression then I am not sure I am trustworthy of their professionalism. Just my experience. Also the extension. Sadly, I received texts and emails stating that my homeowners insurance was cancelled due to non-payment. After the weekend calling to address the issue, it was an error by Mercury Insurance. The stress of receiving this false message is unacceptable receiving in transit worrying and trying to resolve itthe customer service number I called said would you like to pay by phone without getting to the bottom of the error. Only to find out it was not the customers fault. Assuming the blame to be the customer that has historically for this payment auto deductions.Very unsatisfactory and no apologies to be had. Only a message saying the matter has been resolved. Then asking for a goggle review. Seriously disappointed.

My bank account was hit with Fraud and I was spread thin getting things corrected. I would be wary when doing business with them. Marcio gave me a quote for my property. It was unbelievably low and so I was suspicious that it wasnt legit. Sure enough, when I agreed to get the insurance, I got an email saying the insurance was now declined because I took too long to respond but they would reconsider if I gave them another property to insure as well. I showed the quote to another broker and was told the quote was not legit because it had NOT be submitted to an underwriter and it would have never been offered to me because my insurance had lapsed. Marcio claims the quote was legit but would not give me the name of the underwriter so I wouldnt trust working with MPX. Make sure you ask them what fees they charge and which ones are non refundable and dont give them your credit card with out clearly listing the amounts authorized in writing.
