We spent a weekend here for the Napa marathon. Had a wonderful time, hotel has charm and isnt just a cookie cutter room. The pool and hot tub were very comfortable even if the weather wasnt great. We will definitely be back

This hotel was an absolute delight to stay at for my first time in Napa. The room was beautiful, spacious,and the double shower was exquisite. We got coffee,oranges,and different loafs of bread such as banana delivered to our door in the morning. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend to.anyone traveling here. There were shops,bars,and great food within walking distance. Will be returning!!!

Great location in small town of Calistoga near all main shops, bars and restaurants. It has a pool and jacuzzi with hot springs water from local well. Its is adjacent to a sports bar a outdoor movie theater. Guests receive complimentary continental breakfast with pastries, fruit and coffee. There are also snacks and small bar near pool with some free snacks and beverages for purchase. There is also a full spa on the premises. Rooms are small and have no views but are comfortable and clean. There is no hotel parking so you have to park on street and move every 3hrs until 6pm. They offer in room safe and Illy coffee.

I stayed here for one night and fell in love. The staff is soooo friendly and accommodating. They made me feel like a VIP with the simplest of gestures. I was immediately greeted by the general manager who also did my wine tasting during happy hour. The pool is open 24 hours. The room was spacious and adorable. They brought me breakfast in bed (tea/coffee and three very generous pieces of bread - banana, lemon and marble). The attached restaurants made dinner options very easy. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends!!

It is a quirky little boutique hotel, but the best part is the location! So perfect for getting up and walking down the main Calistoga drag to get coffee. The facilities are decent, and the spa was lovely too. Some of the features are a little old, but the convenience of the location and restaurant and bar downstairs more than makeup for it. We had a wonky bed, but after I brought it to their attention, they swapped out the mattress, and we slept soundly for the rest of our trip. The staff are accommodating and friendly! Id recommend it for a couples trip for sure!

Had a great 1 night stay in a standard Queen room. Delicious coffee and sweet breads in the morning delivered to our room. Spent the afternoon in the pool and hot tub and walking around town. Very convenient location.

We always enjoyed this hotel because it has warm friendly staff, nice rooms and is in the centre of Calistoga on walking distance of restaurants. But now they totally raised the experience with their transformation of the pool area to a main attraction. Misters to cool you down during the day, fire pits in the evening, complimentary wine tastings 4:30-6:00pm, great music, drinks & food for sale and a wonderful attentive person (Trina) to serve you. When you want to have fun and chill this is the place to go.

Had a fun weekend stay in an Artist’s Cottage. There are 3 of them separate from the main building, right next to the pool area. The room itself could use a little upkeep… cobwebs in the rafters and some features showing their age, as well as sound leakage from the nearby activities. The private patio is a big plus, with comfortable chairs, steps from the pool, and completely secluded.The staff was fantastic, and the pool and activity area was especially impressive, more like a resort than a classic hotel pool. The outdoor movie theater with real theater seating and nightly shows was a great surprise.Overall, it’s a bit pricey for what you get, but a fun environment right in the heart of downtown Calistoga. (Please fix the toilet paper holders, though, they are too light to actually work.)

Just the cutest hotel with the friendliest staff ever. We were greeted with a complimentary wine tasting in the bar area by reception and then headed to our cozy room which overlooked the pool. There are so many personalized touches and nods to local history in this unique hotel and it made our stay in Calistoga very relaxing. Our room was on the smaller side, but nicely decorated with a modern and spacious bathroom. It was too cold to swim, but the pool area looked like the perfect spot to hang out in the summer.

What an amazing experience! Everything about our stay was top notch- the room was spectacular, the complimentary wine was a solid cab, the hot tub and pool were luxurious and well maintained. .. I could go on and on. The staff was welcoming and accommodating and the on site bar and restaurant were phenomenal - we felt pampered and relaxed the whole visit! Not to mention we were in one of the cottages - the private hot tub/bath was the cherry on top of an already 5 star experience. I would absolutely recommend and look forward to coming back again!

Great location in walking distance to all that downtown Calistoga has to offer! The rooms are very nice and each has its own little decorations.The staff is all very friendly and helpful. Spa was amazing - best massage Ive had in a while!The pool and hot tub area apparently never close which is GREAT! Came back after dinner and had a cocktail and took a tub!The only thing that was off is there is a very musty smell in the rooms (it cleared out mostly once the AC was running) and hallways. Not sure what they can do to fix this but it does need to be addressed.

We stayed at one of the Cottages, which had the private patio with hot tub. Totally worth the money, very comfortable and has its own access from the pool area yet remains private. The hotel staff is so very amiable and attentive, thet took very good care of us at the pool and duration of our stay.

All the facilities were clean and inviting. The staff were all kind and accommodating. The mud bath was luxurious, relaxing, and romantic and included chilled tea infusions, chocolate truffles, relaxing music, and mood lighting. The couples massage was fantastic, my back has never felt better. There is also a dry sauna and an outside pool area which is encompassed by lovely plants.

Stayed here one night while in town to celebrate a milestone. Its elegant, the pool area is adorable and its right in the center of town. Parking is a little odd, you can park around in various parking lots as according to the front desk the three hour limit is not enforced. Our room was a little small, and next to the road. Didnt sleep because of that even though the bed was comfy.

Great location, the place is clean and the staff friendly, but the bed and pillows were the absolute worst I’ve ever had in my life. We were there 3 nights and were expecting a relaxing, refreshing time but came home exhausted with sore backs and very disappointed. Truly ironic when you consider the hotels slogan is “the art of relaxation “. When we told the staff they apologized but no remedy was given. The hotel is very cool hundred plus year old place. The trade off is the walls are paper thin so ever door opening or closing or just a person willing or taking in the hall is like they are in the room with you.

My husband and I visited Northern California for the first time. We loved the town of Calistoga and all it has to offer. The Mount View Hotel was okay. It had charm. I especially liked that they had a wine social in the evenings and had coffee in the lobby in the mornings. However, the rooms are decorated nice, but were definitely on the older side. My biggest complaint was our bed being extremely uncomfortable and lumpy. Overall, our stay here wasnt great, but wasnt terrible either.

This hotel was not great for the price. Some of the staff were great and some were not very warm or helpful. I enjoyed the spa very much. The location was great.We found a dead cockroach in our room and told the front desk. The man behind the counter didnt seem to care and didnt offer to make it right besides saying we can come get that for you...gee thanks buddy, so glad we paid nearly $400/night for this place. We left feeling unsettled by the experience, which is not we expected when we paid for an establishment like this.

Lovely place to stay!Its been a few years since I have stayed in Calistoga, and this hotels century old charm and elegance is still in top notch shape.Same adults only feeling with a calm and restful atmosphere as before.Great hidden gem in Calistoga that feels like a charming European community in a wine country town.Walk anywhere and everywhere in this central location, yet quiet and comfortable rooms (theres a mini fridge for those of us GF that usually have to plan ahead) and a/c in each room.While still under COVID-19 restrictions, things have changed, but only for the better. Instead of a voucher for the downstairs restaurant, you receive personalized breakfast items that arrive via room service (which are included in the price for the nights stay).Particularly notable was the delicious gluten free fresh baked current and cranberry scone (not gritty and grainy) which arrived with local North Bay tea company (Republic of Tea) served at the time of your choice (quite a generous time selection of the morning).For coffee drinkers, there’s an Illy machine in the room with eco-friendly real tea/coffee and espresso cups, saucers and stir spoons. (Thank you for not having more compostable/disposables)!Rooms are sparkling clean (A+ for friendly and professional housekeeping service).Pool is warm enough to relax but not too hot to swim (if you wanted to) and hot tub with the natural hot springs fed water was more spacious than I remember. It has some mineral deposits, and that’s a good thing ~ I want to know that it’s real living/healing water and calcium carbonate deposits are a good sign!I look forward to returning again.Even when I cant travel to Europe, or time travel to the 1920s, this fills both buckets with a dose of spa and summertime R&R.

Such an adorable little place! It was so charming and definitely the cutest place we saw in Calistoga. Only thing wed recommend is maybe getting an air plug in for bathroom because mineral smell of water can be overwhelming. Johnnys attached to the place was amazing and we ate there a lot. Really good food! Perfect location for some adorable wineries, and we wished we had more town to wander cute tasting rooms in town because there were a lot.

Its a lovely boutique hotel with wonderful amenities (enjoy the coffee and morning pastries and the afternoon wine). If you get a street facing room, bring a sleep mask to block out the street light - the beds and furnishings were very comfortable. There is no elevator but its only two stories and theyll help you with your luggage. The staff was wonderful and so helpful (without them, we never would have made our flight!). Thank you!!!

The rooms are a bit small but very unique, a downside being that the walls are thin and you can hear everything in adjacent rooms and the hallway. The pool area is clean and receives sunshine throughout the day. You also receive a 20 dollar breakfast voucher each day during your stay.

We had the Couple’s “Get Fresh”. Different than the traditional mud soaking but we loved it! They provided refreshing drinks and cooling towels to manage the long soaking. My skin felt sooo nice and soft/smooth afterwards. Would definitely do it again! Staff was attentive and I liked the look of the spa.

The actual hotel itself inside is breathtaking when you walk inside. The rooms are very tastefully done, and the outdoor pool, and now outdoor movie screening area are great, particularly with the covid restrictions. Plus the main restaurant has a lot of outdoor seating now so its really safe and can still enjoy the same type of pre-covid experience!

I cant say enough good things about Mount View Hotel! We arrived to beautiful Calistoga and were greeted by the most friendly staff ever. Michael at the front desk handled our bags and let us know that the Artist Cottage was ready despite us being 2 hours early for check-in. When got to the room there was a VERY nice bottle of wine hand selected by the winemaker waiting for us. The room was so charming along with the private patio and jacuzzi, and we just dropped off our bags and hit the pool. What a scene! It was so relaxing and the cabanas were a real treat to get out of the sun! We had a glass of wine and our new friend Michael then helped us find a great place for dinner. He even printed out the menus for us to see before he called to make our reservation. We rented bikes after the pool and cruised around Calistoga and up to Bennett Ln. which was absolutely breathtaking. After the bikes, we came back and walked around town and then had dinner. After a long but incredibly refreshing day, the bed was calling... and it was more comfortable than our own. I highly recommend that you stay at Mount View Hotel if youre visiting Napa Valley. You cant go wrong!

Didnt care for the phone conversation to set up. I almost cancelled. Just a stuck up receptionist making a spa treatment more difficult than it has to be. Purchased a couples mud bath off of Groupon. Actually visited the hotel back in March but Camilla misbooked our appointment. Since we drove from Oakland, they offered to allow us to use the pool and hot tub if we wanted and gave us a $90 gift certificate as an apology. We stayed for the day and enjoyed it. We did not drive almost two hours to only go back home. The pools was very relaxing. We used the hot tub and the pool. It was pretty chilly in March so the pool was a bit colder. They also brought us towels to use when we called the front desk.Came back Memorial Day to use my almost expired Groupon. It was a quiet day. The mud bath was relaxing. The boyfriend and I enjoyed it. The person setting up our mud bath provided us with good service. I definitely left the mud bath feeling refreshed and relaxed. We decided to use the pool for the next couple of hours. The pool was at perfect temperature. I hate cokd pools but Mount View warms up their pool, if needed. Theres also cucumber water provided outside and an outside bathroom to use. The hot tub was out of order but we werent too disappointed since it was already warm that day.Overall, we had a really good experience with Mount View. We would go back and utilize the spa services.Fyi, they are a very clean amd quiet place. Its definitely a little bit more adult oriented but that doesnt mean families dont visit either.

My friend and I made a day trip to Calistoga and made very last minute plans for the spa. Not only was Molly helpful and friendly, but she found a way to accommodate our appointments once we got there and talked about what we were looking for. The facilities are calming and and spotless. After comparing notes, it seems that the massage quality is entirely dependent on which therapist you get. My massage was thorough and helped me release a lot of tension in my back. Afterward the therapist talked to me about some simple stretches I could do to keep my back loose. My friend had a less thorough experience and felt that she was rushed a bit. My experience was so good that I will be coming back next time I visit, and I hope my friends experience was just a fluke. Thank you to Molly and the rest of the MV staff!

Tea and water in the lounge area. They have a nice ambiance. The bathroom is fancy and has lotion as well as hand wash. Cloth hand towels. I had the oxygen bath treatment and it was nice. The tub is heated so I suggest to use the cold water if temperature is too hot. Otherwise they have candle lights and chocolate truffles as well as ice water and iced hand towels for forehead.

We only spent one night here, but what a delightful little hotel. It is located in a historic building, and our room on the ground floor was small but very pretty. Eye masks and earbuds were left on the nightstand for our use which made me wonder about the noise level, but no worry, we spent a very quiet night there but it has to be said that the town was not very busy. Good location in Calistoga where you can walk to many restaurants and shops. We were told that parking was available for guests in the adjacent lot, but by the time we got there around 5pm, it was completely filled, we had to drive around a bit to find nearby parking but it worked out. There are restaurants on each side of the hotel but we did not try them, we did however have breakfast at Johnnys and it was delicious. We had booked the room through Orbitz that mistakenly claimed breakfast was included, it was not, however the front guest gave us a $20 breakfast voucher to use so it was perfect. By the way, the front desk people are exceedingly nice and make you feel very welcome. We would stay here again.

The place is okay. The room is very small. The food was awful. I ordered chicken alfredo, and it tasted like buttered noodles that came out of a can, and the chicken tasted like tuna. Then, I ordered clam chowder, and it tasted like canned soup from a grocery store that was well over date. Also, there was hardly any clams, and the potatoes were undercooked. Do not recommend coming to the restaurant.

The room we were in had two separate bedrooms giving us privacy from child. There was a small room with sofa, two chairs, small refrigerator and coffee/capachino machine. Very nice staff.

Don’t stay here if you need your sleep!!!Don’t let the pretty decorations sway you online. The worst part is you can hear through the floorsI fell into deep sleep to be woken up at midnight by loud thug on floor above it went on continually until 3 am and started up at 7 am again.It would had been nice if the hotel had advised us in advance of the thin floorsThere response is of course they can’t do anything about what people do when they stayBut they are aware of the problem that they don’t speak about because next to your bed they offer ear plugs wrapped in a pretty little bag.The hot tub wasn’t workingThe Resturant looks nice also had to send back food it was so dryHonestly I have never experience either of these in my visits at a hotel so it’s not like I’m just a complaining customerJust angry they don’t price the place for its value

I knew this hotel was different when I was handed aa a tual key instead of a key card. The first floor had a Saloon and two restaurants on either side. Beyound that was a full service spa. I walked into the courtyard to find a pool with syeam coming from it. The heated pool was pefect after a long day of networking. I loved this hotel.
