We celebrated our wedding at Mount Palomar Winery in Temecula, California, and it was nothing short of perfection. The venue itself is breathtaking, with its stunning views of the vineyards and elegant charm.Our experience was made even better by the incredible coordination team of Shellie and Jessica. Shellie is very direct and no-nonsense, ensuring everything runs smoothly and according to plan. Her organizational skills are top-notch, and she handled every detail with precision. Jessica, on the other hand, is an absolute sweetheart, providing a great balance to Shellie’s approach. She brought warmth and a calming presence to the planning process, making us feel comfortable and well-cared-for.The entire team at Mount Palomar was amazing. The chef did not disappoint, delivering a culinary experience that our guests are still raving about. The bartender also did a fantastic job, keeping the drinks flowing and the atmosphere lively.Together, Shellie and Jessica make a dynamic duo that guarantees a seamless and enjoyable wedding experience. My first visit to Mount Palomar was with a group on a weekday as the winery tasting room opened at 11am. Our server was quick to inform us that in addition to our group of 20+, she also had a member arriving with 40 guests at the same time...and she was the only one working! Our group always gives wineries the heads-up a day or two prior so they can plan their staffing accordingly. So that welcome didnt feel very warm and sent the message (intentional or not) that an existing member and their guests were going to take priority.So although I had planned to do a tasting, I opted for a glass instead to simplify things since our server seemed harried, even though I was among the first few to arrive before things got busy. I struggled to find a red that I enjoyed, so after a small sip of three wines, I landed on a glass of Vernal Equinox 2016 (a Zin Merlot Cinsault blend). It was just ok, but definitely not great.The indoor tasting room was nice but small, so we sat outside. Being a cool morning, I had to search and find someone to turn on the one heater on the patio. We definitely could have used a few more heaters... The winery is situated on a hilltop with beautiful views and nice grounds. They have a restaurant which we didnt try.I feel this might have been a better experience had there been an adequate number of servers to enable more of us to do tastings. It surprised me that I didnt like three of the six reds they offer, as I always seem to find something that appeals to me at other Temecula wineries. The lone server didnt really engage or give us any information on the winery history, operations, restaurant, etc. Consequently, eight of us left to enjoy lunch at another winery restaurant (the new Vienza at Europa) which was excellent!

Went for moms 52 bday. Not the best experience unfortunately. The server did not know how to make a regular pot of coffee. We saw him make the first pot where he only added water & didnt remover the old coffee filter and put a new one in. So he came with extra watered down coffee. He made another pot of coffee where he changed the filter & that came out ok but then later did it again where he didn’t change the filter & so we got watered down coffee for refills smh. Hot water for tea took forever too.My sister ordered a chicken sandwich server said we might be out of chicken but let me go ask the kitchen. My sister said ok if there’s no chicken then I’ll get the chilaquiles. Server never came back to let her know that there was no chicken & that he was going to put in the chilaquiles but he needed to come ask if she wanted the chilaquiles with beef, chicken, or egg. So he just picked for her & the chilaquiles came out with egg when she didn’t want egg.I guess this place is more for appetizers. The calamari and the French fries were good. All of our food came out mushy & cold it was very obvious it was sitting in the windy for a while. Just very disappointing overall. Bathrooms were clean tho. Wouldn’t return or recommend

The staff, wine, and food is absolutely amazing. Ronda, our wine steward, served us and provided us with excellent service. She took the time to go over each wine and how it was made. I didn’t know what I wanted so I took whatever she recommended me and I was in shock how great the wine tasted. Also the food was delicious. We met one of the managers, Jacob, who recommended us the steamed mussels along with their famous wine called the Riesling. Best combination. I highly recommend it to all you seafood lovers.

Worth it!! We had an incredible time last week doing first the wine tasting, where you get 6 tastings - any 6 from their wine list or all 6 the same one or whatever you want to do. Super friendly service! Wine was awesome!! Beautiful grounds! We had lunch there in a covered area that has white cloth table settings. They have a new chef and the food was brilliant! See photos. We had quite a variety of things and enjoyed another bottle of wine too! Will definitely go back! Live music is on Saturday and Sundays.

Great time! The restaurant staff gave amazing service. Go see Aubrey. She rocked it with an upbeat personality. We felt very welcomed. Met Anthony too. The food was delicious!! There is also a full bar. There was a band later that played fun music.We hope nothing changes so we have something to look forward to the next time!

We’ve enjoyed all our previous visits to Mt Palomar we did not enjoy my mbira bday pm March 28. 2024. We were there for my 82 years birthday through Teresa M Sanchez a member but unfortunately we reported this excrement see saw through the window. Some emplyee walked by it looked at it. Did clean it up. We endured that filthy view the whole time. Shameful and disgusting for a restaurant serving food.

Commercialism at its best!Very nice venue!Food was average, light on appetizersDinner was done early causing a shakeup in the planning of the event.If you decide to hold your event there do yourself a favor and negotiate an open bar plan.This way you will not have to be interrupted during your event to make a decision on whether or not to keep your bar open for your guests. Definitely mis-lead on the bar plan to their advantage.Took advantage of the bride and groom.

I cant get enough of this place and restaurant, the events place is picturesque, the grounds is beautiful! The wine tasting bartenders were wonderful they are really engaged in making us find the right wine for you.The restaurant is situated next to a big construction which I am excited in the 2 years!Let us talk about the food! Everything was good but my favorites are, shrimp scampi, tuna ceviche, the filet mignon (it was so tender you can use a butter knife to cut it), lobster sandwich and the creme brulee (everyones favorite)!!We even met the chef and was so enthusiastic about the food and the new things we will look forward to after all the construction is done.We went on a weekday so there were no live music, but i will definetly be back here for some food and wine!PS. I think they change their menu per season which is exciting! The next time i come back there will be a new set of food to try!Must see, must try!

We went for Mothers Day 2024. The winery itself is beautiful and well maintained. Our reservation was for late afternoon. Upon arrival a wait staff did greet us and ask if we had reservations. We had to wait maybe 5 to 10 mins but it wasnt bad at all. The staff looked busy but to be expected as it was Mothers day. Staff was very helpful and although some of the staff didnt at all times know the menu or the wine selection, they did try their best. The menu was very scarce. The wine was ok. The food was mediocre very bland and took forever to arrive. Also note, they did not have a bread basket service. We had a nice time but were disappointed with the food and wine. They had 2 desserts not listed, cheescake and tiramisu. Would not return again or recommend to a friend, soley based on the food and wine selection. For the cost of dinner and wine there are better winery restaurants in the area.

We went for Mothers Day and at the end of everything ended up having a nice time. BUT we made reservations for 4 people through open table over a week ago and confirmed via phone. Showed up 5 minutes early even and they did not know where to put us. They wanted to seat us inside - the only people inside and next to where everyone walks in to check in. We asked for outside and the person referred to as the manager (young woman, dark hair,) was snippy and told us other people with reservations were coming later for those tables. She said that people have 2 hour slots and we would only have 1 hour or 1 3/4 at the most. We said we made a reservation over a week ago and there was no choice for inside or outside when I made it. (1.75 hours is actually ok but it was the way we were being treated that threw us). She magically found a table for us by the tasting area. I suspect they usually hold it for wine tasting? I don’t know. But we were told we had for 2 hours. Oh seemed like the place never did get that crowded.The food was only ok. My son orders eggs over hard and steak medium. It arrived rare and over easy. The waffles were basic and came with bacon instead of fruit. All of course overpriced for the Day. Our waitress was nice and efficient. The band was great and we had a good time because we enjoy being together. But I cannot recommend the restaurant and will not return. If customers are going to spend over 200 for a meh brunch treat them better.

It was my first time visiting the Temecula Valley, consequently, the Mt. Palomar Winery too. Its a beautiful place.I didnt get to enjoy any wine or food though. I sat myself at the bar in the restaurant and there was no service offered for 15 mins which is when I decided to leave. It was not busy at 230pm. There were over half a dozen waitstaff. They saw me walk in, sit down. It took one of them almost 10 mins to even acknowledge me and didnt even offer a menu until I asked. Then ignored again. They were eager to help every other guest and even offer apology at even a 30 second delay. I have to assume the staff stereotyped me. I did not look like their typical clientele--I was appropriately dressed and groomed, though. Another few minutes pass by--they keep glancing and know that I have not been offered anything or been asked. Then I decided to leave.The staff seemed young and may not have had appropriate training.Not to waste my drive out all the way, I tried the neighboring Callaway winery and had an uneventful visit with no issues whatsoever.

We sampled in the cave. We had a group of six and the server was so patient with us! We all have quite different tastes, and he took time with each of us to understand what we thought of the wines wed had and help guide us to our next selection. He then taught us about each wine; how theyre made, mixed, layers of flavor, etc. Amazing customer service!

The wine is great. But the food in the restaurant is overpriced for the quality! I understand they are short on staff. The food take to long for get in the table. Dessert take over 25 min . I was disappointed bc we saw the executive Chef walking around the restaurant for about 2 hours! Came here to attend WienerFest. Came early even because they warned parking would be limited. When we pulled up, a lady in a 50s style polka dot dress who worked for the winery very rudely asked us what are you here for? When I told her we were here for wienerfest she even more rudely said theres no parking for that, I need you to turn around. She then took a call on her cell phone and when I asked where should we park for the event? She responded I dont care where you park, turn around and go that way.This is a winery. In Temecula. Theres no other publicly available parking for miles. Why would you plan an event and then not have a plan for the crowd attending? This event happens every year and runs for 5 hours. We were there when it first started. What are they going to do about all the other people that show up late?My wife and I spent $350 on a hotel room in the area to be here for the event. We couldnt even get in. Waste of time and money.Definitely never coming back to this winery based on how the woman treated us.

Went for wine tasting. $25 for 6 pours and you choose the wine. They had live music on a Sunday afternoon that was nice and not too loud. Tried all the dry white and rose wines except for the chardonnay. All were crisp easy drinking wines. Favorites were the Viognier and Cinsaut Blanc. Will come back.

Quiet and charming on a Wednesday visit. Attentive staff, charming location-some under construction to make more space for lounging and live music. D’On in the restaurant is an amazing mixologist (yes, a wine place has a mixologist!) and took amazing care of us while we noshed on charcuterie and took in the views and the breeze. Highly recommend during the week when things are quiet - it may be chaotic on weekends and when the tour buses roll in.

I went last evening with somebody to see my friends band Bad chemistry as we arrived there was broken glass all over a parking a spot, wich I cleaned up, headed for the tables and they said they were reorganizing them so we went into the bar till they were done, got outside found a table but guess what no propane for about six of the heaters, so we sat down and discovered that the table was filthy dirty you would have thought they would have cleaned them as they moved them or somebody would have cleaned them food was dried on there and just nasty in my opinion, the waitress never asked us if we wanted anything at all but walked around and helped other people and people were complaining about no heat and no service and dirty tables as well. People were leaving because there was no heat as we did too because of no heat I was freezing, I find this ridiculous when you have a venue and its cold out and you know the weather,, I spent over $60 in one hour and 15 minutes, had you guys had heat I bet you a lot of people would have stayed including myself. It was absolutely terrible except for my friends band that I really enjoy and always stay for the end so I just want to let you guys know that it was absolutely terrible. Thank you

What a gorgeous winery and location! We had lunch on the terrace and walked around the gardens. A bottle of sparkling wine and the meat and cheese board went down real smooth in the afternoon sun. Pro tip: there were two of us so we got the meat and cheese board plus a sandwich. The board was more than enough food for two.

They have been opened since 1969, so they were around before the winery boom. We arrived to wine country late in the afternoon on Thursday. Mount Palomar Winery was the only winery in the area that we could find that stayed open until 8 for dinner. Most closed at 6 but a couple were open until 7. Thursday nights is live music and discounts for club members, as well as discounts for non-members. There were about three wines that were on sale for $12. I have to say, that out of the wineries we visited, this wine was my least favorite. Not that it was bad, the others were really good. The outdoor seating by the lake was very nice and theres a private section for parties. We came back during the day on Sunday for wine tasting and they had music and salsa dancing going on. So, a very lively atmosphere. On Sunday, we were given a quick tour by one of the employees that gave us a warm feeling - even warmer than what the wine was giving us.

I have recently had the opportunity to visit the restaurant at this winery a couple of times, once for dinner with friends and once for brunch with my mom. It did not disappoint! It is a beautiful location! I really appreciate the service from the moment we arrived. Both times we were seated right away, the server checked in on us frequently. Both times the food was delicious! It was great to know that they do dinner and brunch well. Compliments to the chef! The drinks were great too! We ordered mixed drinks from the menu and not wine (we will definitely try it next time). We were also (pleasantly) surprised to find that there was live music playing. It made both experiences that much better. It looks like there is construction going on around the area and Im excited to see what they will be adding to this place. I will definitely come back to eat here and will update when I try the tasting room.

We visited at the end of our day. The winery had outdoor patios with areas of seating. We had to order the featured Cantaritos Tequila Margarita which was citrusy & pretty darn good! Maybe that is why duplicate photos are posted.

Made a reservation for 11:30a, we ordered 3 appetizers (hummus, brie, and a charcuterie board), salad and fries, and it took over 3 hours.. they forgot to bring us bread we ordered, and also forgot to bring us silverware after we asked for it, and I had to get it from inside the restaurant (we were eating outside). Salads were soggy and over dressed. The appetizers were pretty good though. The cocktails were AMAZING and I would go back just for those alone. Beautiful setting, but poor service and mediocre food.

Our server wore too much cologne for food service (as flavor is linked to the sense of smell) and they overcooked all of our burgers. Hospitality could have been better, considering the price point. No discount was applied for getting our orders wrong, nor were any options offered to rectify this mistake.Also we did wine tastings a specosl occasion weekend, and hospitality did not meet expectations for a wine club member celebrating a major life event.

We came here because years ago we were here for my birthday celebration and loved it. 14 of us came for dinner and were seated inside a tented area. It wasnt even the main dining room. It looked fairly deserted though it took over 45 minutes just to get drinks served to us which most of us left at the table because they were terrible drinks. The food was a whole different disaster. Not only was everything very slow and horrible, they actually had the nerve to send out one of the short ribs meals with the PLASTIC over it basically letting us know that nothing is fresh, everything is microwaved and we were mortified. The chef came out to apologize which was nice but it really was not enough. Then the server dropped and broke glass on the table and barely wiped up around us. They tried to pass our 35% discount cards to the table and we left them sitting right there. We will not be visiting thisplace again. Servers looked miserable. Chef looked stressed and EVERYTHING was terrible. Management please step in!

Absolutely gorgeous scenery. The views and the buildings were all gorgeous. It would make a great wedding venue. My group was just there for a wine tasting so I cant comment on the food, but we tried 8 wines. There was one white that was ok, but all the reds we tried were just bad. A few were more brown than red. Notably, the zinfandel and dolcetto were so bad that I would believe they had spoiled. The atmosphere was great, but I would rather just blindly grab any bottle from a grocery store than have wine from here.

One of the first and oldest wineries of the area. Another must see and must try place while in town.Great views, nice gardens, good food and most of all excellent wines. If like full bodied, go for the equinox. It will not disappoint and youll probably take a bottle home.They have a good restaurant where we had some snacks while enjoying the wine. But it would be nice to have charcuterie, nuts, jams and such at the cava di vino. Make it easier. Nevertheless, a place worth returning to.

My friends and I went wine tasting for her birthday, and most of us not being wine drinkers, we went with a Groupon for a flight and charcuterie board for two, it was me and my husband and her and hers.Only redeeming factor was the server, he was super kind, just stretched thin maybe? It just didnt feel/look busy, was supposed to be only outdoor seating and I could see everyone they were helping, they were often inside. When we arrived, there was a large party inside looking like they were dropping a ton of money and almost done (lots of open wine bottles on the table). Outside there was a party of about 8, and a couple on the patio and then the 4 of us.We knew we wouldnt be able to sit together from what the Groupon said, but we got to sit near each other so that was fine. We sat down at about 2:30p, ordered maybe 15 in. My board and flight came out around 3:15, and it took about 20 minutes for my friend to get her board and flight. We know wed be getting things separately since we were different tables but our server knew we were together and it felt really awkward for that huge gap of time where I had it and she didnt. There was not enough bread to go with all the items on the board (which was decent but nothing special), so we asked for more, they said its an additional charge of $2 per loaf (they were about 6 inch demi French breads), but when we got the bill they were $4 each. The board consisted of a few cut up strawberries, handful of grapes, olives, various sliced meats, big pile of large chunks of a hard cheese like parmesan, a spreadable spicy cheese that was tasty, and a smaller pile of smoked gouda and one loaf of bread.We ended up spending 2 hours in total there, a good chunk of time was also spent waiting for the bill and waiting for it to be picked up and returned to us. I would have loved to get a glass of the wine I enjoyed off of the flight, but it was so long of a wait to get anything that we decided to just call it a day and headed out.

Had an incident at this winery due to terrible parking. They allow people to park in fire lane and would be spaces. Should have called fire department and reported it they would have been in violation. They have extremely high curbs not painted red nor any signs warning drivers and or pedestrians. Be careful driving in this lot or walking incase you trip. Management promised to assist me and then just blew me off all week. They don’t care!

We decided to try some nice California wines. We are from the Niagara region in Ontario and wanted to compare some wines with ours back home. We decided to do a flight of their sweet wines for $22.00 per person (as shown on the table in my picture). The staff was very friendly and the grounds were beautiful to wander around either before or after your tastings. We really enjoyed our afternoon here and met lots of other people also enjoying the wines and views. I highly recommend this as one of your stops for wine sampling !

Booked reservation at the restaurant, the place wasn’t very busy at all so figured it would be a good experience but 90 minutes later we still had no food. Waitress kept saying the food should be out shortly but it never came. Staff didn’t seem too concerned we were waiting that long as though that was the norm. By the time the food eventually came we had to leave so we just had to get it to go. Asked for the check which took a while too and the waitress dropped off the wrong check so that took another 15 minutes for them to figure out. The food definitely wasn’t worth the wait and the wine is average at best. The setting is very picturesque but service was poor and wouldn’t recommend to anyone

Smoothest wine tasting we had. Very delicious. I traded 2 tickets for the port, totally worth it. Best port Ive had so far in Temecula (came with a chocolate to bring out the flavor). If youve ever had portugal porto port it had a smoother memory of that flavor. Paid extra for the Sherry tasting as well. It was amazing, reminded me of the Portugal sherry. Love the interaction with them. Alec was our server along with Nick. They were so great to talk to and they all made us feel like old friends. We were looking for a nice winery to try some tastings.We drove through a few of the nearby winerys but they offered little atmosphere.Most looked like restaurants with a view.We drove up the hill to Palomar Winery we were pleasantly surprised how nice the grounds were, statuary, fountains and a beautiful landscaping.Exactly what we were looking for.We ended up just getting a bottle of champagne, it was very hot and tasting reds didnt appeal to us at the time, next time though.Champagne was nice and very reasonable and tasted great.We will be coming back!

One of my favorite wineries. Beautiful scenery with olive trees and fresh rosemary growing in the gardens. I love the tastings of the premium reds. Comes on a wine glass tree, great pours, and you can sit outside on patio whilst tasting them. The restaurant next to it, brings service to the table. The charcuterie board is amazing!!

Just a great place to spend an afternoon and relax with some very nice wines. My hubs and I went on a Sunday afternoon, ordered up one $20 wine tasting, tried 6 wines together and then ordered a full glass of the two we liked the best. Then we sat in the sun and listened to live music. The stress just melted away. There is a very nice cafe if you need some nibbles. Great choice! You can take a walk too on the property and enjoy the views.

The tequila was very nice and i had the best margarita ever. Although pricey, the appetizers we ordered were phenomenal. This was our second experience here. The first was a disaster. It took them over 30 minutes to come out to take our order, that first visit, after we had walked in and informed them we were planning to eat on their patio (right next to the bistro). Then it took them well over 40 minutes to get us our food, only after we had to go in twice to ask what was going on. When our food finally arrived, our order was wrong. While we sat there for a couple of hours, no one came to ask if we needed more drinks, or to check on us. We thought maybe this was a fluke. No such luck, as this second visit wasn’t much better. The staff seemed very ignorant on what the food on their menu was. We were told that by eating in the patio area between the tasting room and the bistro, we would need to get our food to go, as there was no service in that area. Yet when a different group sat down next to our table, they were treated to service, while we still had to make our order “to go.” When our food was ready, we took it to our table, unpacked the bags, and realized they had not sent us with napkins. The food was okay. Not the best. It was odd that my mom and I ordered the exact same sandwich, but hers came with bell peppers, and mine was lacking. I will not eat here again, and I will not recommend it to anyone.

As a destination wedding, we were planning and coordinating things from a distance, and was extremely relieved to have someone like Sandy, help us with every little detail the day of. DO NOT HAVE YOUR WEDDING HEREWe are extremely disappointed with Mount Palomar and their service. My husband and I totally regret having our wedding here. We ran into many multiple stressful problems with this venue in the entire processes of planning our wedding day at this venue. We were promised many things and lied too. Many hidden unexpected prices were thrown into our final total invoice amount. On top of it all there was horrible communication with the events team and Shellie ALWAYS. We would be told different answers or not be gotten back to, they would never answer the phone. If you do not want a stressful, regretted wedding we highly recommend you spend your money and your special day somewhere else. On our wedding day the manager of Mount Palomar Shellie Meline knocked down our entire donut wall that was holding 300 donuts up… Our guests were not able to enjoy our favorite donuts that we planned on having (this was a huge highlight to our wedding to us because my husband works for the donut shop for many years). Shellie did not do anything for ruining our donut wall on our wedding day. At our food tasting with Mount Palomar, we were served rotten filet mignon, we brought it to their attention, and they did not do anything about it. This was a horrible experience for my family to be served rotten meat and have no apologies for this mistake. The entire staff and Shellie Meline that prepared and served the food were very aware that the meat was well rotten and nothing was done about it, they just brushed it under the rug like nothing was wrong. After this incident we did not want to risk this happening at our wedding, so we decided to do outside catering. We were promised that they would have a kitchen that we would be able to use. A couple weeks before our wedding day we were informed by Mount Palomar that they did not have a kitchen for us to use and all they had was a dirt lot area to use due to their recent remodels. Due to this we had to rent an entire kitchen set up for our outside catering that costed $3,567. We had no choice but to have to pay for them for not being able to provide a kitchen for us. This was only the beginning of our problems with Mount Palomar winery. They tried to double charge us on taxes, our food catering charged us for taxes for the food and mount Palomar was also charging another sales tax % of their total price too. The events team was trying to change our plans of décor without informing my wedding coordinator or the bride and groom. After having a big wedding here we expected their services to be a lot more professional but they let us down big time. We can honestly go on and on about the horrible things they put us through for our big day. All we can say is DO NOT have your wedding or event here, it is no where worth it. Mount Palomar is extremely inconsiderate and unprofessional. I hope nobody ever has to go through what we went through with them.

We started with a 50/50 red/white membership but have since adjusted that to reds only. Their whites are good but the reds are why we go back. I am writing this review solely because Ive never experienced a rude manager like Kevin at this winery. After we were told to order our drinks at the bar, my mom goes up to the bar to do as shes told and the manager rather than kindly tell her they changed their minds, yells at my mother to get back to her table so her server can take her order. It was so embarrassing our server had to come over and apologize. The two female waitresses we had were so nice and accommodating, but if Kevin the manager is an indication of the way the owners would like their winery ran I will gladly spend my money elsewhere.

Went for wine tasting with my husband and I dont know if maybe the young lady who helped us was new, or maybe her shift was almost over, but it literally felt like she was rushing us through our tastings! Our glasses werent even empty when she kept coming back to ask us if we were ready for our next one! TWO STARS NOT FIVE!!!Ok. So we went because of the high school football fund raiser and the Journey tribute band. The sign on the tasting room door said open til 6pm but we were told not tonight because of the band playing. So you had to close your eyes and throw a dart to decide what kind of wine to buy at an exorbitant price by the glass if youve never been here. Ugh. Strike one. We tried a glass of the sangria...bleah. Wayyyy too sweet. Then a glass of the Bistro white...plenty of alcohol apparently from the wicked bite it had...but next to no flavor. Was like drinking water. At that point, we no longer felt like drinking here. Strike two. Wed also planned to eat there because they advertise a Bistro, but again, of course, because of the band being there that night, their menu was extremely limited for the night and not their normal fare. It consisted, as I recall, of only a charcuterie board box, which the guy taking the orders (who we finally got to after standing in line for 20 minutes) could not even tell us what was on it other than saying some kind of meats, some kind of cheese, some kind of fruit and maybe some bread; a lettuce salad; popcorn; nachos; and jalapeno poppers. Period. And, we were warned, supplies were limited. Strike three. Sigh. The venue is beautiful. Most of the staff tried their best to be helpful, but it was quite a disorganized mess and quite frankly the wine left a great deal to be desired, although admittedly we might have found something we liked had we been able to be educated and benefit from a wine tasting before hand. With so many great places in Temecula, like Peltzers and Wilson Creek, I dont see us venturing to this location again. Oh, and the concert, which was to be from 6-10pm, still had yet to start at nearly 8pm although a duo warm-up band did play from a little after 7pm to 7:30 pm. AND!!! I gave it 2 stars but when I post the review it changes to 5 stars without my consent. WTF?

This is the only winery out side of northern California to have an actual Rutherford as oenologist, Vintner, viticulturist and wine maker.(Yes I do mean those Rutherfords) Having been making wine in the central valley of California before California was even a state in the union. James Rutherfords wines are Ripe, balanced acid, smooth finish and most of all playfully decadent. So my advice is to hit there tasting room grab your kids college fund and invest in as many bottles as one can properly store at home.(no one likes dry rotten or corked wines)

I recommend Mount Palomar Winery for special occasions, a nice date, or just girl time. When you walk to the top of the stairs you can have your 360 view of Temecula that is breath taking. If you want to pay too much for your wine and wanted to be treated as a dollar sign, then go to Mount Palomar winery. They could care less about their customers and their experience and only care about the money. This is a horrible winery and there are far better wineries in the region!

I am writing this review based on my daughters wedding that was held at the winery last November.I gave them two stars because of the following: at our pre-wedding consultations we were assured that the bride & groom would receive their own plate of hor dourves and the staff would make sure to bring them more if needed this was all said because of the time it takes to do photos. They never received any hor dourves. We were told at the consultation that usually the bride & groom don’t get anytime to eat dinner and that a plate would be prepared upon their departure, they never received any “plate to go “. The last item, which is the most IMPORTANT was that my daughter walked down the isle WITHOUT her bouquet! This was the job of the winery’s coordinator of the day. I had hired a “lady in waiting” if u will for the day just to be responsible in making sure the wedding gown was always laying properly for all photos, ect. The winery blamed the “no bouquet” on her ! It was NOT her responsibility. Shame on the winery!!
