2024-02-15 03:00:31This couldnt have been a more helpful, uplifting experience. I went to MOTI after months of debilitating back pain, frustrated I wasnt getting better. Dr. Kirk Ramirez had such thoughtful courses of action for every issue I brought his way. I love how he encouraged me to stay active as a road toward recovery and taught me basic, foundational movements that, once I started getting better, paved way for more intense exercises that helped me build my strength back up. Not only does my back feel great now. I also feel more excited about exercising regularly than I ever have before. Dr. Kirk and the lovely people at MOTI will meet you where you are, encourage you to be proactive (while coaching you through mishaps along the way), and set you on a sustainable course to taking good care of yourself.

2024-04-11 18:15:11I cant express enough what exceptional care I received at MOTI. Every PT specialist is top notch and Id like to give a special shout out to Ann and Kirk who are both incredible and helped me tremendously on my healing journey! The music at the space always sets a great mood and props to Charles who oversees the playlists. I highly recommend MOTI if you have PT needs.

2024-02-12 21:41:20I saw Dr. Kirk twice a week for six weeks for a shoulder injury. He by far exceeded my expectations in every way. Instead of just helping me do exercises, he taught me different ways to not only strengthen my shoulder but also to strengthen all the muscles around my injury. He explained everything in detail and gave me different exercises to do at home to keep things interesting. He taught me the importance of my overall fitness and strength -- after all, my shoulder doesnt exist in a vacuum! He also took time to ask about my long term goals and worked at every session to help me achieve them. I mentioned wanting to take a strength class at my gym but I was intimidated. He spent time teaching me how to do basic strengthening exercises in all muscle groups. Everything he taught me carried over to my gym classes and Im now going to the gym regularly.Dr. Kirk is incredibly knowledgeable and clearly wants to help his patients live their best and healthiest lives. He focuses not only on the current injury but how to prevent injuries in the future. Im eating better, strengthening my muscles and improving my cardiovascular fitness, all using the tools I learned in my sessions with Dr. Kirk.

2024-05-02 20:27:30Nothing but wonderful things to say about my experience with Dr. Kirk Ramirez and Moti PT! After two other experiences with other physical therapists at different locations, I finally found the right fit for my ankle injury with Dr. Kirk! His experience, knowledge, and professionalism was unparalleled. He had thorough answers to my questions and really seemed to know his stuff. In addition to my ankle, when I asked about hip pain and a hand problem, he immediately had great advice! He genuinely wanted to help and had a variety of strategies and techniques to try. Also, he spent more direct 1:1 time with me than my two other previous experiences which was incredibly valuable. Moti itself is organized, clean, and easy to work with. Overall, A+ experience and highly recommend!

2024-04-01 19:15:43This review focuses on MOTI Highland Park. Ive had three distinct courses of treatment at MOTI which has given me good insights into the quality of care there. First, Dr. Anne DeGrey, recommended by my amazing non-surgeon orthopedic MD, Steve Yoon, treated me for knee disease (arthritis, chondromalacia of the patella and worn anterior meniscus). The condition was painful and disabling -- I was really suffering. With Dr. DeGreys therapeutic adjustments and her strengthening protocol that focussed on legs/glutes, administered by her staff of aides, I now walk regularly without pain. Admittedly I havent hiked up Mt Baldy in a while for fear of starting the cycle of ouch all over again but Ive put off knee replacement and couldnt be happier getting around on my natural knees. More recently, I underwent autologous bilateral breast reconstruction (aka DIEP flaps) and returned for more help, post-surgery and a year later when my abdomen got hard as a rock following revision surgery. My plastic surgeon recommended MFR (myofascial release) but the MFR masseuse wouldnt touch my abdomen because it was so hard. I returned to Dr. DeGrey and she got to work. While I still have some tugging at the abdominal scar line, the shooting nerve pain, the hard fascia and stiffness are gone and I couldnt be more grateful. Dr. DeGrey will use different modalities (massage, fascia scraping, cupping, other) if needed. The facility is very well-equipped with Kaiser machines, TRX, weights, balls, cardio equipment, stretching cages etc. The environment is low-key and comfortable. They have parking. I used to laugh about PT years ago when all Id get was a little massage and stimulation from a TENS unit. I highly recommend MOTI, Dr. Anne De Grey and her staff. Ive also received treatment from Dr. Lei Lee and she was great too!

2024-02-02 20:23:58The physical therapists are kind people, doing honest work. The business admin and cancellation policies are predatory.Several weeks before an appointment I called and canceled all my appointments as I no longer needed them. I was surprised to receive an email reminder for an appointment I thought we canceled. I replied to the email and asked them to cancel the appointment.Days later I get a mailer demon email that MOTI didnt receive my email reply. Why make it hard for your patient to communicate with an email you sent? Its 2024, emailing a business should not be hard.Unfortunately, I get the mailer notice on the day of the appointment. I call immediately and explain the situation. I send a screenshot of my reply to their email. Surely the fact that I called weeks earlier, emailed them days ago, and called again today is enough communication for them?Apparently not. They decided to charge me $75 for not cancelling in time.Ive paid for several dozen appointments at MOTI over multiple years. I appreciated my time here. The PTs are good people. Unfortunately, they havent been able to help heal my hip injury and my doctor wants me to try a different PT company.MOTIs business communications leaves a lot to be desired. They recently raised their prices and cancellation fees. Almost as if they make their money by trapping people with cancellation fees rather than providing a service.Unfortunately, I cannot recommend doing business with them.

2024-02-05 23:25:09Kirk Ramirez is an incredible physical therapist! I went to see him in a fog of continuous headaches that had lasted for months. He listened, and gave me a multi-faceted approach (from humming to stretching to strength training) that has not only stopped the cycle of pain, but inspired my interest in weights and daily strength training. Youll be lucky to get the kind of customized attention and knowledge that Kirk has to offer. He understands that several things may be causing your pain (stress, fear, muscular pain, general cluelessness about living in a mysterious meatsack of a body) and he doesnt make you feel bad about it. In fact he gets you to feel really good and empowered in your body, which is a true gift.

2024-02-27 07:15:51I highly recommend Moti! Dr Kirk Ramirez helped me with my tendonitis on my elbow, he is so knowledgable and put me on a program to strengthen all the muscles around that elbow (wrist, fingers, forearms, and shoulders) to promote healing and prevent future reoccurrence. It was a pleasure to consult with him and have him help with so many questions I had, I learned so much about how the body works, then trained with the friendliest staff at Moti to do my rounds of exercises.

2023-10-04 13:47:06If you are interested in finding a high quality physical therapy location, MOTI Physiotherapy in Highland Park is the place for you. I highly recommend MOTI for any of your physical therapy needs. It definitely deserves 5 stars.I have been going to MOTI on and off since early 2020. My therapist is Dr. Ann DeGrey. Ann is an expert in the field, highly skilled, experienced and caring. I also have the pleasure of working with Dr. Lei Lee. Lei is knowledgeable, personable and attentive. Along with treatments from Ann and Lei, I have a customized exercise program for use in the clinic and at home. As I progress in meeting my goals, the exercises are modified to reflect my improvement and to continue to challenge me. The well trained and capable aides work with me on the exercises in the clinic and are a joy to work with. The administrative staff members are always helpful and efficient. The facility is spacious and filled with high quality equipment. What makes MOTI such a special place, however, is the welcoming, warm and positive environment. All the therapists, the aides and the front desk staff are friendly, encouraging, and supportive. Patients feel everyone is committed to and care about their success.Ann, Lei and the MOTI team have gotten me through back issues, knee issues, cardio issues and 2 total hip replacement surgeries. They have my gratitude and my highest recommendation.

2023-10-10 15:06:35I had a great experience at MOTI with Dr. Daniel and all the aides. Dr. Daniel listened well, was very knowledgeable and helped me stay patient in my recovery. I am so grateful I found this place and stuck with it. I was having major thoracic back pain with no actual injury. Dr. Daniel was able to explain where the pain was coming from and worked with me to build muscle in order to ease that pain. Also, the facility is great! Good, clean equipment and everyone is so nice and welcoming.
