Roza is wonderful! I spoke with her before my baby arrived to check in/ get to know her and just have a brief introduction. Upon babys arrival I contacted her immediately and she came to our home within a few days of the baby being born. I didnt have any issues with breastfeeding but it was a priority and very important to me. I had questions and wanted reassurance that I was doing it right; she assured me we were on the right track. She was available via text for quick questions. Roza is so kind and knowledgeable. We are forever grateful for her wisdom and guidance.

Roza was an absolute AMAZING help in the first week of our daughter’s life. Our baby was losing weight and we couldn’t get her to consistently latch or take a bottle. With Roza’s help we figured out a strategy to help get her on the breast and gaining weight. Not only was it helpful in a practical sense with tips and tricks but Roza helped me approach breastfeeding from a much calmer place. I think the attitude shift she helped facilitate was the key factor in improving our BF journey. We were able to slowly wean off combo feeding and I haven’t needed to pump or give my baby a bottle in over 3 weeks! Roza’s in person help was indispensable and she had always been available for text or phone questions. She never made me feel judged and has been an excellent cheerleader and encourager as well as clearly very knowledgeable. I can’t recommend her enough and credit her for getting our breastfeeding journey off to a great start.

Roza was such an incredible help to my family! I was having a ton of pain while nursing, and she got me in to her schedule with very short notice. She quickly identified the issue, and recommended all the steps we needed to take to get to pain free nursing! Her swift help has totally transformed breast feeding for me and I am so grateful! She has also been a knowledgeable resource for any questions I have, and is a kind and supportive teacher. Im so glad we found her!

We had a rocky start to breastfeeding, and my Kaiser LC encouraged us to give up and switch to formula. I contacted Roza for a second opinion, and with her guidance I am now successfully BFing my 5-month old with minimal supplementation. I would recommend her services to anyone preparing to BF or who is struggling with postpartum feeding. I only wish Id called her sooner!

Roza is AMAZING. I was very discouraged by my first attempts at breastfeeding, and subsequently concerned that the baby was getting hooked on the bottle and would reject the breast. Roza came to the house and worked her magic— two months later I am exclusively breastfeeding with success, and Roza still makes herself available for my questions. In what can be a very emotionally taxing process, she is patient and supportive on top of knowledgeable.

Roza is incredible. We met with her for lactation support and advice after we were told by our pediatrician that our baby was not gaining enough weight and that we needed to bottle feed after every nursing session. My goal was to exclusively breastfeed without having to pump after every feed and give bottles.Even before meeting with Roza in person, we were impressed. Prior to our first in-person encounter, she asked us to filled out a very detailed form about our baby, delivery, what our problems with feeding were and our ultimate goals for feeding. Prior lactation consultants we had met with never asked all of these questions, only bits and pieces of the story. Our in-person visit was just as impressive. She is kind, patient, thorough, and obviously very knowledgeable. After our visit she continued to provide support via phone or text whenever needed.After working with Roza for 2 weeks, I am so happy to report that my baby is now exclusively breastfeeding and gaining weight. We are so thankful for Roza and everything she has done for our family.

I am so grateful for Roza! I was having terrible breastfeeding pain, crying in the middle of the night trying to feed my baby. I got in contact with my local la Leche leader, who told me about Roza. I booked an appointment ASAP and she came to my house. She was reassuring, positive, and helped me fix the latch issues we were having! She checked in our progress regularly, tested the suction of my pump, and helped me get the right size flanges. When my baby started bottle refusal she coached my husband on how to feed the baby with a cup. We are now breastfeeding successfully, without pain, and have a solid plan in place to keep doing so when I return to work.

I’m a first time mom and knew I wanted to exclusively breast feed. I was connected to Roza and from our initial first meeting, I felt optimistic and excited from all the information she gave me to prepare. Roza is beyond knowledgeable on all things breast-feeding and loved that she had such a lengthy explanation for each of my questions.From the hospital, i used her latching method. unsure if i was doing it correct, she came to see me the day after i came home from the hospital and helped me perfect my latch with my baby. She helped me with my technique and approach (as i was not doing it 100% correct) and when she left i still struggled as i thought i needed her here to continue to help but her motivation and encouragement helped me get it down.When it came to pumping, i thought i was doing it right until a portable pump damaged my nipples. I called her and she saw me right away and helped me figure out my nipple size for proper pumping tools.Rosa has really helped me gain an amazing first time breast-feeding experience, with the knowledge and confidence she gives. I’m extremely grateful I was able to have someone like her in my corner for being a nervous first time mom

Roza has been a gift to my family. She is a wealth of knowledge and was quickly able to assess the issues my baby and I were having and did so in a kind, thoughtful, and loving manner. She was a great listener and made me feel heard as well as was able to make recommendations that genuinely helped my baby and I. She took the guess work out of the age old question, “Why is my baby crying?” Roza is a true gem and I highly recommend her for any issue you may be having. She really helped us find our baby’s tongue tie as well as directed us to a great pediatrician for the procedure. Roza is well connected to the best, because she is the best.

Roza was an incredible asset to our support team while we navigated the birth of our first child. Her expertise in the lactation consulting sphere is unparalleled. As a first time mom, I didn’t know how crucial it is to have an experienced IBCLC lactation consultant for a successful breastfeeding journey. Getting all the information online and having lactation consultants help in the hospital, it wasn’t enough for me to successfully breastfeed my first born. It wasn’t a good experience, and I promised myself to have a lactation consultant next to me when it’s time to have the second baby.My doula told me about Roza. I had a thorough consultation with her before my second baby was born. She came to see us when we came home from the hospital as we were having issues with breastfeeding. Roza explained what was the issue, and after following her plan, I was breastfeeding my baby without any issues.She is very nice, experienced and supportive especially when I was thinking to give up. Roza is truly one-of-a-kind. From day one, Rozas level of compassion, thoughtfulness, strong fund of knowledge, and empathy was evident. She has so much experience and always makes me feel like I’m being heard - I could not have made it this far into my breastfeeding journey (7 months) without having her by my side. I had multiple complications including infections,nursing strikes, and nipple related issues throughout my journey and, although other providers werent always available or there to follow up, Roza was always available and never left any of my questions unanswered. She is so patient with every single step of guidance she has provided. She always followed up if I wasnt feeling 100% regarding my breastfeeding journey. Roza is so amazing and supportive. I was having a lot of trouble breastfeeding my newborn when we got home from the hospital. It was taking hours just to get him to latch on. I was about ready to give up, which was heartbreaking for me because breastfeeding is something I really looked forward to doing so I could bond with my son. My husband went on google and searched for a lactation consultant and found Roza. I am so grateful for her guidance and support. She taught us how to make sure we have a proper latch, ensured the baby was gaining weight and was on the right track, reccomended some helpful products and gave me pumping advice. As a first time mom, it was very important to understand the nuances of breastfeeding to keep the baby well nourished. During home visit, Roza explained thoroughly how to breastfeed correctly. Also, as a professional, she helped me to achive a goal which was feeding my baby only with breast milk. Moreover, she is very caring person. I would recommend Roza to any mom who needs breastfeeding support. We had Roza as our lactation consultant with our first son and loved her. Recently I had my daughter and following some latching issues at the hospital and some nipple damage was sent home with nipple shields. Roza came to my house day 5 and helped us get off the nipple shield right away and refreshed my memory on proper deep latch and feeding positions. Even though I am a second time mom and breastfed my oldest for a year Roza reminded me that every baby is different and the refresher was all I needed to get things moving smoothly. She has made all the difference in my breastfeeding journey with both my kids!!

Im so grateful for my experience working with Roza! She offers a prenatal lactation meeting which was critical! Im a first-time mama and the whole breastfeeding thing seemed overwhelming and scary. We went over all the mechanics of breastfeeding and what I could expect with a new babe and she calmly answered all of my questions and even helped me purchase some incredibly comfortable nursing bras and robes. She was so easy to schedule with, and she came to my home right after my baby was born to check the latch and see how I was doing, which was SO helpful. Shes given me support throughout my now 4-month breastfeeding journey and I love being able to text her and get quick responses with helpful feedback. Overall, I just really feel supported and heard by her and Im glad Ive had her in my corner since before my baby was born!

Topline: Roza is the most amazing, helpful, kind, down-to-earth, highly-experienced (shes seen it all) and professional lactation consultant you will ever meet. She is absolutely Gods gift to lactating women and she single-handedly saved my breastfeeding relationship. Stop now and call her because she is an answer to your breastfeeding prayers.Long story: I had reached out to Roza before giving birth because I wanted to have the best on call once my little one arrived. I figured that Id be able to breastfeed easily and an appointment with her would only help solidify the basic skills. Little did I know, Id be blessed with an infant that had a serious tongue and lip tie meaning breastfeeding was SO incredibly painful and any milk transfer was negligible. Ive never cried so hard or felt so helpless than in that deep/dark moment. After my son lost nearly 11% of his birthweight in 2 days, I called Roza immediately from the hospital and she rearranged her schedule to meet us ASAP. At the first meeting she put a plan in place to help my son and I figure out this breastfeeding thing. Initially Roza helped establish a triple feed schedule where I would offer both breasts, then weigh him, supplement via SNS, and then pump. It was exhausting but it was our only answer to get him the nutrients he needed. A few days later, my little guy still wasnt gaining weight and she helped reaffirm that his tongue and lip tie were most likely the culprits.Roza has a vast network of specialists and connected us with an amazing pediatrician who specializes in frenotomies, as well as with an occupational therapist, to help strengthen his tongue/mouth and body. After the frenotomy, life was so much better. Roza came and helped us reestablish his latch given his new tongue mobility and taught me different positions to maximize both mine and my sons comfort. In between sessions Roza would call or text to follow up, showing genuine interest and offering specific advice that would help us.What I appreciate most is her willingness to listen without judgement. Shell sit and hear all your woes and will offer just the right mix of encouragement and no-nonsense teaching to help improve things right then and there. I cant thank her enough for all that she did for our little family. I swear that without Rozas help I would have given up on breastfeeding. It was only through her consistent, helpful, and kind approach that we got over the most challenging of times.Now my son and I have an amazing, hard-fought breastfeeding relationship — I dont ever take it for granted. I am a Labor and Delivery nurse, and I did a lot to prepare to breastfeed my daughter prior to her birth. I knew enough to know that when she was born something was not right. Multiple medical professionals, including a different IBCLC, examined my newborn daughter and dismissed my concerns and invalidated my knowledge and experience. I was incredibly discouraged and found myself sobbing while trying to latch my baby because it was so painful and watching as her weight continued to fall and her diapers got drier and drier because she was not able to get milk from me. Enter Roza, she saved us. She saved our breastfeeding journey. She listened to me, validated my instincts and observations as a mother and a nurse, and actually examined my daughter. Rozas experience recognized the tongue tie that I had suspected right from my daughters birth. Her referral led me to a wonderful pediatrician who also took excellent care of us and addressed the tie. Because of Roza, we have been able to continue to breastfeed and my daughter is thriving. Roza is fantastic. She is an amazingly understanding, supportive and knowledgeable lactation consultant. I would not be breastfeeding now if not for her. Do not wait.I had heard horror stories from friends about breastfeeding, and so when at the hospital I was told that my baby could not latch, I was disappointed but not surprised. I was sent home with a breast pump, a nipple shield and a strong suggestion that I see a lactation consultant asap. I called Roza, who had been HIGHLY recommended to me by a friend.Roza came to my home and listened without judgement to my fears that if I pursued breastfeeding rigorously, it wouldn’t work and I would have only frustrated myself and my baby. She helped me set reasonable goals and checked in with me frequently. When I called her crying that I wanted to give up the SNS system I was using, she was supportive, and immediately offered me another option. Throughout the entire process, she never put pressure on me or allowed me to feel guilt over my difficulties.After six weeks, my baby finally latched, which, again, would have never happened without Roza’s expertise and care.

I cannot speak highly enough of my experience with Roza. My husband and I worked with her shortly after returning home with our newborn as we needed some support with establishing breastfeeding. She was encouraging, patient, and added a bit of humor to lighten up what can be a very overwhelming process. I really appreciated that she created comprehensive summaries of our visits that I could refer to later without having to worry about taking copious notes during her visit. Her online portal system was easy to use, and she made sure to include links to videos and resources we had discussed in our meetings so that I could easily find them organized in one place. I also loved that she discussed which recommendations and resources were research-based and encouraged us to make decisions that worked best for our family. I am incredibly grateful for the support, knowledge, and comfort that Roza offered me as I was first learning how to breastfeed my daughter. I was referred to Roza by my doula and reached out to her to set up an appointment while I was still in the hospital. Right away Roza agreed to meet me as soon as I arrived at home. I had gotten some conflicting information about breastfeeding in the hospital, but Roza was able to simplify things, provide gentle and clear direction, and offer wisdom about breastfeeding my baby that resonated with me on every level. She helped me establish a solid foundation right from the start, so that I was able to avoid any issues and have a positive breastfeeding experience. After our in-person meeting, Roza regularly followed up with me via phone call and text, just to check in and see how my daughter and I were doing. I genuinely felt that she cared. Roza goes above and beyond--in those early days, I was inundated by information, sleep deprived, and feeling isolated by the pandemic. In addition to breastfeeding tips, Roza regularly offered warm and thoughtful guidance about how to respond when my baby was fussy and refused to eat and offered insight about how to co-sleep safely when my baby would only sleep on me. I cant thank Roza enough for her generous help--I could cry just thinking about the care she showed me and my baby during such a sensitive time. Roza has incredible empathy for both babies and parents, and this work is absolutely her calling. Shes worth every penny.

Roza is the most knowledgeable, empathetic and professional person we have had the pleasure to work with. We left the hospital with our first baby completely stressed because we were unable to get the support we needed to breastfeed (particularly due to a jaundice scare at the hospital). Roza did a home visit, taking strong safety precautions of course, and within our first visit we had so many tricks and so much more knowledge that we were able to get back on track to be exclusively breastfeeding within days! She also fitted me with some incredible (and very reasonably priced) nursing bras which have been a life saver. I cannot thank her enough, she is just incredible. If you are considering hiring a Lactation Consultant, hire Roza!Breastfeeding my baby was extremely important to me. When I was pregnant, I researched and tried to prepare for the breastfeeding journey as best as possible. When my infant was born, she was diagnosed with a high risk level of Jaundice, which required her to be incubated under lights while in the hospital. Under medical direction, I was asked to stop breastfeeding and feed her formula from the bottle while her body flushed the bilirubin. I was given a breast pump and was asked to pump in order to help stimulate my breasts so that my milk flow would not be affected. Needless to say, that I was crushed and felt so helpless knowing that the early days of bonding with my infant through the breast was crucial for my supply. When we were released from the hospital, I was given orders to breastfeed first, then have my partner give her a bottle with formula while I pumped. It was difficult to see my infant taking a bottle and spitting up the formula immediately after. I was also very concerned about introducing the bottle so early and was worried that my milk supply would be affected. The ordeal also left me feeling really insecure about my milk supply and ability to breastfeed. In addition, my nipples were sore and damaged from an improper latch. I knew that breastfeeding was best for my baby so I made the decision to stop the bottle and formula and focus on breastfeeding and I knew that I was going to need a professional to help ensure that I was on the right track. My doula had given me Rozas information and had highly recommended her so I reached out. My first appointment was remote but Roza was able to guide, reassure me and advise a plan that supported my breastfeeding journey. Roza is amazing! Rozas help left me feeling extremely confident and supported. I was also able to text her with questions and concerns and she would patiently answer me back. When I brought my baby into her two week Dr. appointment, the doctor was highly impressed with our progress and was surprised that we had made the progress by exclusively breastfeeding. I also had an in person follow-up visit with Roza in her office where she helped to ensure that the baby and I were on the right track. My nipple damage also healed and breastfeeding was no longer uncomfortable. I feel so confident with breastfeeding and am so happy when I see that my daughter is getting the best nutrition and that I am providing that for her. I am so grateful for Roza and am so happy that I have such an amazing resource to turn to should I run into any other issues on my breastfeeding journey. If you need help, please hire her. Roza has been the best support for my breastfeeding journey that I could’ve asked for. After my daughter was born, I had a very difficult time with her latch. The nurses at the hospital told me it was perfect but I was in so much pain that I knew I needed to find help or I’d end up giving up breastfeeding all together. Our doula recommended Roza and told us she’s the only person she trusts to help with lactation issues.Roza was able to get us in quickly and was absolutely what I needed. She not only assisted me with latching my daughter properly, which reduced the amount of pain I was in significantly, but she also identified her lip and tongue tie issue and recommended a fantastic doctor for the consultation. After having the lip and tongue tie fixed, I have been able to truly enjoy bonding with my daughter through breastfeeding.For anyone looking for a lactation consultant, I would highly recommend Roza. She has a way of addressing and fixing the issues a mother is having while making her feel as though she is still doing an amazing job. She recognizes that lactation issues cause emotional stress for both parents, but especially the mothers, and has a way of calming this anxiety and giving you confidence that you can do it.My daughter is currently 7 months old and we are still going strong. I had an in-home consultation with Roza a few months ago after the birth of my first baby because I was in a lot of pain, on bed-rest, and feeling miserable about not being able to figure out how to breastfeed. Roza was able to see me the day after I called her and she was absolutely amazing. By the end of our consultation, my baby was able to latch on after only a few tries! Roza was a pleasure to work with, very professional, compassionate and wise. I could not believe how fast she was able to get my baby to latch. She checked in with me regularly after our consultation and made sure the breastfeeding and my recovery was going well. Within a week after our meeting, my baby was latching easily and comfortably on the first try. I have had a wonderful experience breastfeeding since working with Roza. She was truly a life saver and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

We do not know what we would have done without Roza! We first met her during one of our birth classes with Kathy Killebrew (highly recommended too). We thought that we knew enough about breastfeeding by just watching videos and paying close attention during birth classes but we can’t stress enough how important it is to not only take breastfeeding classes but also reach out to Roza immediately if things do not seem right. Our little boy came during the beginning of the pandemic so our first call with Roza was virtual and that make a big difference. However, the in-person visit changed our lives. We were determined to breastfeed but there were times that we doubted ourselves and needed support. That is when a supportive and encouraging text from our BF Angel Roza would come through. Unfortunately, at the hospital one of the nurses made a comment about how mom’s breast were too flat and no nipples. It was hard to be confident after that but Roza saved our breastfeeding journey with her knowledge and tender, loving care. Our baby is almost 6 months and breastfed only. Hard work and persistence pays off. Do not wait to get Roza’s help if needed. Oh and by the way, she sells THE BEST BF BRAS! The nipples were the happiest after that. Ask about them when you visit. I had a lot of doubts and questions regarding breastfeeding and did not know who to turn to until my cousin referred me to Roza. I had already determined that I didn’t have enough supple and breastfeeding was not gonna be an option until I met Roza. Roza was a miracle that I needed. She was so knowledgeable, kind, and patient. She reassured me that I did have enough supple based on weighing my baby before and after a feed. She thought us different positions and soothing techniques. If you’re pregnant or a new mom I would defiantly recommend hiring Roza. My baby is almost 11 months and I have enjoyed every second of breastfeeding. I don’t know what I would have done without Roza! I probably would not be breastfeeding today if it weren’t for her help. My son has a lip and tongue tie which made breastfeeding very painful in the beginning. Roza helped so much, not only because of her incredible expertise but her warmth and encouragement as well. I’m so happy I found Roza! I had a lot of trouble latching my one week old baby properly and thought I would have to bottle feed him. I was crushed and desperate, then did some research and found Roza. I called her and she was able to accommodate me for an in person office visit the next day. Roza was so kind and helpful and really helped build me up. She showed me different techniques and assessed what worked for my baby and followed up with a care plan that I could follow at home. Roza wore a lot of hats during my pregnancy and fourth trimester: she fitted me for my nursing bras, she was my lactation consultant, and she was a constant support after my baby had his tongue tie removed. She was always available when I needed her, only a text away. She was caring, kind and knowledgeable about breastfeeding and was supportive of the plan I had for my breastfeeding journey. That’s what I did with both of my daughters, and I am so glad I did.I struggled with latching both of my daughters at first, and both had some jaundice. But with Roza’s help, we were able to avoid phototherapy. And we were able to establish a solid exclusive breastfeeding relationship (after a very short period of supplementation for the jaundice). In fact, I nursed my first daughter for almost two years. And I am comfortably nursing my second as a type this.Roza helped in so many ways: assessing my baby’s latch and my technique in trying to latch, giving guidance on latching and positioning, showing how to identify when supplementation is necessary, instructing how to supplement in a way that encourages rather than interferes with the breastfeeding relationship, providing materials for supplementation, fine-tuning the nursing positions after addressing the more basic issues, and more.Roza not only helped me at our appointments, but followed up by text and answered questions. Roza was really great and with her help I went from producing nearly no milk when I came home from the hospital to now being able to provide my baby about 2/3 of her daily milk intake. Initially, my baby was also unable to transfer milk and now she breastfeeds very well. I really appreciate the mother and daughter bonding time I have with her because she is able to breastfeed now.I could tell that Roza cared about us and is really passionate about breastfeeding. She would ask me how I was doing, if I was getting out and about enough, etc - she was focused on the wellbeing of me and my baby as a whole and not only tunnel focused on the breastfeeding portion. My pediatrician had told me that she didnt think my baby would be able to ever transfer milk well, which was incredibly discouraging, but Roza told me she disagreed and that she thought with some practice and time, that my baby would be able to transfer milk. I was determined to breast-feed my baby but I was completely unprepared. The lactation consultant at the hospital told me I was doing everything right; however, I was in excruciating pain every time my baby latched and fed. Additionally, my baby was not gaining enough weight. I became depressed and very concerned. At this point, we were told to supplement though we were not given the instructions on how to. Out of desperation I reached out to friends one of which recommended Roza.When we first met Roza she was very compassionate and nurturing. She validated my concerns and addressed each one carefully. The first thing I remember her telling me was its not supposed to hurt. Within that session, she assessed my situation then referred us to a doctor for possible tongue tie, provided tools on how to successfully breast-feed without pain, and how to produce more. She also taught us how to supplement properly. I appreciated her honesty with informing me that it will get harder before it gets better. When we followed up with the pediatrician our daughter gained at least 12 ounces.Roza is professional, committed, and extremely knowledgeable. She continues to respond to any additional questions I have via text. My confidence now with breast-feeding has improved tremendously and my bond with my daughter is that much stronger. We are so happy we had Roza as our Lactation consultant. We arrived home with our bundle of joy and he wasn’t latching properly due to an underbite. Roza Baghdassarian, the owner of MILC, is both kind and incredibly knowledgeable. I first met Roza during a birthing class I was taking while pregnant with Julie Frietas, who is also wonderful. Roza came to our class and spoke about breastfeeding. She was so informative I felt excited try breastfeeding even though my baby was still weeks away from arriving. Soon after, I visited Roza in her studio to be fit and measured for a nursing bra. I left with three great bras and a few nightgowns, one of which I ended up giving birth in (I had a home birth). After I gave birth I attended a free lactation support group, which was led be Roza and Julie. As a brand new mother, I was feeling exhausted, overwhelmed and anxious. This intimate support group was a safe space in which to talk about anything that was on our minds as new mothers. Sitting on the floor, sharing and listening to the few other women in the room was so healing- it was just what I needed. It was the first time in weeks that I felt normal. Roza and Julie kindly reminded each of us that everything is ever changing in motherhood, and that we just needed to ride the wave- however difficult and beautiful. Roza and Julies generosity is truly touching, I am so grateful to both of them. These women are incredible resources and their desire to share their knowledge in the hopes of helping others is beautiful. When my daughter was about 4.5 months old, I came down with mastitis due to a clogged duct. I had never had any problems with breastfeeding before this. I reluctantly took antibiotics to try and heal it as nothing else seemed to be working, but it soon returned. I reached out to Roza and she graciously listened to me and then helped diagnose the problem over the phone. It turned out I had a milk blip (blister) that was causing the clogged duct which was then causing the mastitis. Roza recommended a few ways of addressing the issue: breaking up the milk blip, an epsom salt soak multiple times a day right before nursing, and sunflower lecitin. In a few days I was on the mend! She got to the heart of my problem and Ive been well ever since (my daughter is nearly six months now). All in all Roza is amazing!!

Roza is extremely knowledgeable and does excellent work. Her help has been invaluable given the medical profession isnt set up to help mothers with breastfeeding issues. I was determined to keep my supply up with my second baby after having low milk supply with my first when she started sleeping through the night & preferring the bottle. This time around, with Rozas help, my supply has been copious! My son preferred the breast so much, that he actually stopped taking a bottle & Roza has helped with that as well, allowing me some freedom to leave when I need to. When we brought our baby girl home, she had lost almost 10% of her birth weight and our pediatrician was concerned that she wasnt gaining weight fast enough. Our pediatrician wanted us to supplement with formula, but we were trying to avoid that if at all possible. I thought breastfeeding was going pretty well, but my little one wasnt getting enough milk during each feeding. Roza came to see us the next day and showed me how to get a deeper latch while feeding. She also gave me practical ways to use the props that I have in my house to make the positioning for both me and baby more comfortable during nursing. When I contacted Roza, my son was 2 months old and I had been through 2 bouts of mastitis, antibiotics, and ongoing latch difficulty. I was feeling so discouraged, disappointed, frustrated, and I was crying during most feedings because of the pain. Roza is a miracle worker.Having seen my sister go through a really tough time with breast-feeding her first baby, I knew I wanted to have a lactation consultant on speed dial. I’m so glad that I had met Roza before the birth. I had gone to her for a bra fitting for nursing bras. Thank God I did as the baby arrived early a couple of days later!The first couple of weeks were a total blur after the baby arrived. I was so nervous and sleep deprived and over emotional. When we went for the baby’s first check up a couple of days after he was born the doctor scared us saying he has lost more weight than they were happy with and he needed to go onto formula. I was devastated as I felt like I was failing. We met with the lactation consultant at the hospital and they talked through some things. I had already done all the classes Kaiser Permanente offered so had been quite well versed - I thought - for the task ahead. Roza came to our house and calmed us immediately. She knew more about the benefits of Kaiser Permanente it seems than the actual woman who worked there. She told us we were entitled to a much higher grade of pumping machine free of charge and was frustrated, as were we, that the lactation consultant at the hospital had not told us about this. After a phone call the machine was on its way to us and got there a few hours later. We would never have known if it weren’t for Roza. It was brilliant having her come to the house to see our real environment and use our couch and pillows so that everything would be second nature to us rather than doing it in the hospital or offsite and then forgetting everything as soon as you walk through your own front door. She gave us a plan of action and was always available over the phone or email to follow up afterwards. She gave us confidence and encouragement and really got my husband involved so he was helping with the feeding too. She gave us a syringe and tubing so he could feed the baby with his finger to simulate the breast and give me a break as well as having some bonding time himself. I haven’t seen that method in any class or heard of it from any other lactation person. It was fantastic for the initial stage where our baby needed to gain weight fast. Everything turned around after our visit with Roza. I know sometimes it can take much longer for people to get the hang of it but I know if you have Roza in your corner with her patience and encouragement you WILL get there! I met with Roza prior to giving birth to my second child after not being able to successfully breastfeed my first daughter due to low milk production potentially stemming from thyroid issues (Hashimotos). Roza is a godsend! I met with her 5 days after giving birth to my daughter and she created a breastfeeding plan that helped us get on track right away. My daughter had lost over 1lb in while we were in the hospital and nurses told me to supplement with formula to get her weight back up. Roza saved my breastfeeding relationship with my son. I reached out to her when I could no longer tolerate the extreme pain of nursing my four day old baby, who was losing weight at an alarming rate. Hysterically crying, exhausted, terrified, and vulnerable, I reached out to Roza on the advisement of my birth doula who recognized that my challenges were beyond solvable without professional lactation support in-home. Within less than 24 hours Roza was at my bedside, giving me tangible, applicable techniques to begin the long journey to recovery. She identified anatomical restrictions in my babys mouth which we were able to treat with minor surgical interventions (tongue & lip tie), and she supplied us with the necessary apparatus to help train our baby to get my breastmilk even if it wasnt directly from the breast or bottle (she has many tricks up her sleeves!)I went from predominantly formula feeding, to 50/50 formula & breast milk, to exclusively breastfeeding within 8 weeks. This may sound like a long time, but for a severe case like mine, where the pain was so extreme I could barely hold my baby without crying out in pain, its truly miraculous. My low milk supply is completely resolved (to the point where I have a healthy reserve stash in my freezer), I am nursing completely pain free (something I never EVER thought would happen), and my beautiful 4 month old baby boy is thriving in the 85th percentile for weight and height.None of this could have been possible without the unwavering support and help from Roza in those early months. She recognized my commitment and goal of exclusively breastfeeding and gave me the necessary tools to achieve that goal. Her professionalism, follow through, and gentle bedside manner, yet structured no-nonsense approach is what propelled me forward when others were encouraging me to just give up. Rarely will you find someone so passionate and devoted to their clients. I not only treasure my experience with her but miss our talks. I knew motherhood would come with its own challenges and I knew breastfeeding would be one of the big ones - I just didn’t know how big it was going to be for me. Now that I’m on the other side, I’m so glad that I stuck with it and I couldn’t have done it without Roza!My baby was born a lot smaller than anticipated (6 pounds 11 ounces) and I am a tall woman (6 feet) with now the largest breasts I’ve ever had in my life. Between just size and the lip and tongue ties, establishing a latch was a huge challenge. It was beyond painful and was nothing near the realm of feeling right or “natural.”In my sleep deprived haze, and when my milk came in a day or so after we left the hospital, I was muscling through the pain and it wasnt working. I would cry through it and was worried that her latch was going to destroy my nipple and then I’d not even be able to establish a real supply.I reached out to my doula and explained my problem. She immediately sent me a few names and Roza’s was at the top. It had to have been 7 am when I left Roza a message. Roza called me back early that morning and she came to our house that evening! I was so relieved and thankful she could fit us in so soon.She was just what my husband and I needed and it couldn’t have come sooner! She helped with my positioning so I could try to find best way to feed and she recommended a fantastic pediatrician that specializes in lip and tongue ties (she confirmed the tongue and also said my baby had a lip tie - no one else and mentioned that one).All this to say we dealt with the lip and tongue ties, went through that healing process and I decided to take a break from BF and I pumped for a week. I worked through that learning curve (pumping, bottle feeding, sterilizing and her healing exercises repeating all every 3 hours). Roza was with me each step of the way - checking on me and giving guidance. She suggested renting pump from my hospital and it was absolutely the best thing to do while I was establishing my supply and routine.Over the course of the next 7 days, I let my breasts heal from breastfeeding, we did her lip and tongue tie exercises daily, we bottle fed and I pumped. I dealt with the emotional rollercoaster that it all out me through. I knew it was for the best and it allowed my husband to be able to help and bond with the baby. We went back to pediatrician that snipped her as she likes 3 follow up visits to make sure it’s all healing properly. And she also helped me work on the latch. She was a godsend and it was all thanks to Roza!I slowly started to breastfeed my daughter again, once a day or more as I could handle. All along the way checking in with Roza and getting much needed encouragement and guidance.After my last pediatrician follow up, I decided to do a follow up meeting with Roza. She suggested her office and I figured that would be a good goal to get out of the house! Follow up was great and it helped me with the next chapter. We worked on our new latch. My baby had to relearn after the snips and she was also bigger now- over 8 pounds at 4 weeks.Roza is compassionate, knowledgeable and helped build my confidence to where I now have options for how to feed my baby. I breastfeed the overnight feeds and as I can during the day and I pump and save to bottlefeed as needed throughout the day and to store for when I go back to work.I highly recommend her for your and your baby’s needs!

We first met Roza at a birthing class when we were 36 weeks pregnant. We immediately felt comfortable with her and knew that if we had any problems that she would be our go to. I met with her before our son was born to get a bra fitting. She was amazing. I didnt know that I was wearing unsupportive nursing bras until I tried on several different bras. She has a large selection of brands and bra types to choose from, and will help you find which ones fit/work best for you. She also has nursing clothes that are available to try on as well. It was an amazing experience and I felt prepared to breast feed with the bras and tops that I bought.Fast forward a month and our son was born. He was struggling to latch from day one. The lactation consultants in the hospital helped us as much as they could, but it wasnt enough. We were sent home Friday evening and we struggled to get through the weekend to be able to meet with her on Monday. We met with her when he was 5 days old and she immediately helped us. She informed us that he had restrictions in his mouth and had a possible lip and tongue tie (which I had a feeling he had because both my husband and I have them). After her oral assessment of him she had a plan of action for the next steps. She gave us a shield for lip tied babies and set us up with a strategy to get him eating from the breast. At her appointment I wanted to cry when he latched and ate from me (with the support of the shield and the sns system in place). I immediately felt a sense of relief and knew that my goal/dream of breast feeding was going to happen. She referred us to an amazing pediatrician who did the lip and tongue tie procedure. We met with her again after and she worked with us to feed without the support of the shield/sns system. Our son was able to feed without support within days of his procedure. She explained that breastfeeding is like a dance, there will be steps forward and backward, but not to be discourged. I was determined to help our son breastfeed more efficiently. Our little one was finally getting it and gaining weight. It was such an amazing feeling to know that breastfeeding was getting easier and our son was thriving. Roza was extremely helpful during the entire process. She would text us to ask for updates and when we needed her she would call to talk through our struggles. I knew that with Rozas support our breastfeeding goals would be achievable. Our son is now 6 weeks old and breastfeeding like a champ.I HIGHLY reccomend Rozas services. Her Mary Poppins-like bag had everything in there! My baby was around one and a half weeks old and she was not latching properly. Roza showed us how to get him to latch deeply and how to position him properly during and after feedings. So far, it has made a HUGE difference. I am so relieved to know that our issues could easily be remedied with a proper latch, good positioning, and feeding on demand! I feel so much more confident feeding our baby and knowing i’m doing it the right way! If you are having any breastfeeding issues I would highly recommend scheduling a consultation. It has completely changed my breastfeeding experience!

Based on two referrals, I called Roza when I thought all hope was lost. We were four days home from the hospital and I couldnt get my twin girls to latch. They screamed & refused to nurse at every feed, then would quiet when we finally gave them a bottle. They were eight days old at Rozas first home visit, and she not only got them to latch, but put us on the path that led to my Twin Mom Dream Come True: tandem feeding! The day they latched and tandem fed, I felt nearly more pride than the day the girls were born. Working toward that goal was a challenge, it was tiring, and it was tedious. But through it all, my husband and I had Rozas expertise, support and encouragement. She was available for EVERY question and concern. And she always reminded me that every drop counts and that all the hard work was worth it. It was and still is. The girls are healthy and thriving, and I cherish these quiet moments of nursing both my girls together because I know they wont last forever.

Roza is the most wonderful lactation consultant. She was encouraging, supportive, and thoughtful. I have given her contact to many pregnant friends. I cannot recommend her enough!!

As a father I wasn’t expecting to get much out of a lactation consultant visit. However, Roza’s knowledge of babies and baby care goes so deep I found myself getting great answers to the many questions I had about how to care for our child and help his mother.
