This was a really great experience. Everyone is so friendly and kind. Definitely made my daughter who suffers from anxiety very comfortable during the whole procedure. Dr. really explained the procedure and made sure we understood. I got a call the same day of surgery to check up and post op visit went amazing!

I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed with Dr.Lloyd and the experience was amazing. I went in one day to learn more about the service they provide and I scheduled that same day. The girls at the front desk were helpful with all the questions/ concerns I had. The day of the X-ray/consult was short and brief with meeting Dr.Lloyd. He explained all that could happen during surgery but reassured he’s never had anything happen during the operation. I was able to schedule the surgery a week later. The day of surgery, I was a bit nervous as it was my first time going under general anesthesia but the two nurses that were prepping me were so kind and made my experience a lot better! The recovery was easy and simple as well. If I somehow had to get wisdom teeth removed again, I would come back to Dr.Lloyd and his team in a heartbeat!

I am just looking into the possibility of finding a new dental surgeon in Salinas and I really had trouble getting my point across because the lady would not listen to me but kept interrupting me and telling me stuff that I already knew. So basically Im going to go on my first appointment and see what happens because dental work is really personal and can be painful. Plus its expensive. So having someone professional answer the phone is important and not being able to tell me which dentist she recommends for me or who is actually the best one then Im kind of at a loss so apparently they probably stick me with the one that nobody else wants because hes going to have the most opened patient list. And everything seemed to be a burden to this lady. I have nothing against you maam. Empathy because we are at your mercy.

I had my wisdom teeth surgery with Dr. Lloyd, staff was friendly & welcoming, my surgery went smoothly, my healing process as well, he also went over what would happen the day of surgery & he answered any questions I had, after surgery one of the receptionist called to make sure I was doing fine, that was sweet! My experience with Dr. Lewis was great. I will recommend him to my friends and family. After visiting 6 dental offices he informed me he could help me with my dental problems. I had pain for 7 months and no other dental office would help me. He was very thorough in explaining the procedure and answered all my questions. Now I am pain free and my quality of life is great and im very happy and grateful. The office staff was awesome and helpful. Dr. Lewis and staff are No. 1 and excellent. Editing my review: Personnel in the back is awesome! Have seen Dr Lewis in 3 different occasions and he is awesome.. I recommend them..I have to change my review a bit here, the people that answer the phone need a customer service class. Its not professional for them to interrupt anyone in the middle of a sentence when someone is trying to explain why the call. My date of birth is not going to tell you why Im calling. The doctors and the staff in the back might be great but the people in the front are so rude and act like we owe them anything.

Had intial surgery, they took payment. For follow up appointment, I told them I was only available on Fridays. They rescheduled 3 times in a row on me. First two times they called a day before to say the doctor was busy at the time they made the appointment for and do it the next week. The third time, the office lady calls and says she needs me to be there way sooner than the initial time she scheduled. I tell her I am unable to, if she had called or messaged the day before I could have made this work but she failed to do this. Her response is to question me why I couldnt be there sooner. This is incredibly inappropriate and not her business. It is amazing that she fails to see the issue is they continuously make appointments that they know they are not going to honor. She says she scheduled two surgeries in place of my appointment. So basically it is my problem because she is not going to change that even though we have an appointment scheduled and this was the third time she has done this. She then says she could reschedule for Monday. I again remind her I am only available Fridays and I dont understand how they havent had time the last three Fridays even though they have scheduled me for each day. She obviously doesnt care about this at all and says that she thinks Ill be fine and to just call them if the surgery does not heal properly. I do not know if the surgery is healing properly as I am not a dentist..... I paid them for this service.... once they received full payment they make follow up very uneasy. But for scheduling surgery it will be no problem as they get paid after this. She then says again just call if it doesnt heal properly and asks me if I want to reschedule. There is obviously no point in rescheduling for me as they are just going to cancel again. I tell her I feel she will just cancel any appointment I reschedule and she gets all happy and says ok well I wont schedule anything then and then just hangs up.I obviously wont be doing business with these people in the future. I am exploring reporting this to the Dental Board of California as I doubt this is they way they are supposed to do business.To anyone considering doing business with these people I urge you to explore different options.

I broke a tooth on New Year’s Day..I was miserable and they got me in as soon as possible for an emergency extraction! I’m a new patient and my wife told me how great the surgeon is and the whole process and staff proved that with my visit. I don’t give a 5 star rating easily, but they EARNED IT!

My experience here was great! I had multiple wisdom teeth extracted. I was in and out in no time and the dental assistants were super comforting. I was scared to go under and they were super kind throughout the process. The doctor was super transparent about the risks and I absolutely appreciated the honesty. I will definitely come back for any dental surgeries in the future. I would definitely recommend this place to family/friends. MOSA was amazing from the initial phone call, to entering the office on our appt date, and procedure time. I have worked in the medical field for 26 years and know how challenging it can be to strive for 5 star customer service And actually achieve it. Every staff member and experience was a very pleasant experience during a difficult time. We have a 10 year old son who needed some teeth pulled. He agrees, he was so appreciative of how kind staff was and how they handle his fears and apprehension.Clean office. Quick process. Minimal to no wait times. Clear in explaining the process of the procedure and our financial obligations. Very kind staff and dental professionals. Great and quite comfortable experience, the implant was placed while sedated, literally it was over before I knew it.Dr. Lewis walked me through the process before and after the procedure, it was seamless and better that expected.The clinic personnel from the moment I walked in until I left, were kind, professional and efficient.They checked in with me over the phone after a day or two after the surgery to ask how I was doing.Again, they made an otherwise stressful experience into a smooth, stress free and comfortable one.Highly recommend Dr. Lewis and MOSA.

From our first consultation to after procedure follow ups this has been a great experience all around. This was my son’s first experience with anesthesia and surgery and he was comfortable and had no problems whatsoever. The doctor and staff called to check on him after the procedure and that meant so much to us. It was so personal and caring and we really appreciated it. I would highly recommend this office to anyone who needs treatment. They will take great care of you.

My 8 year old son was referred to Dr. LaMothe to have a couple of teeth pulled since he was very nervous at his dentist. I cannot recommend MOSA enough. I had oral surgery (broken, infected molar removed + bone graft done) on July 11th, 2023. Dr Lloyd removed my wisdom teeth in 2010 and I had a great experience then so when my molar became infected causing me the worst pain of my life, MOSA was the first oral surgery practice that came to mind so contacted MOSA hoping Dr Lloyd could help me again. My first concern was that I did not have a referral from a dentist because my issue began on a Saturday afternoon so when I called MOSA on Monday morning and I said I didnt have a referral, they said it was not a problem. My second concern was their ability to see me in a timely manner because again I was in the worst pain of my life. They were able to fit me in the following morning at 7:45am despite having a few surgerys already booked that morning. The office staff was extremely professional & very friendly. Within 10 minutes of arriving I had an X-ray taken and was in an exam room where I explained my problem, Dr Lloyd took a look at my tooth, said it needed to come out and gave me the opportunity to have the tooth removed that morning. He made sure I had a ride home because I did chose to be put under for the procedure. I was also given an estimate of cost before anything began so there were no surprises. He understood I was in extreme pain & said he would prescribe some pain meds + an antibiotic. Around 9am, they prepped me for the procedure and my nurse was very friend and made me feel at ease. Dr Lloyd came in and started an IV and I was surprised at how painless it was! He said it would be a little pinch and thats what it was. We talked about travel softball and baseball because our kids both play and next thing I knew, I was in the recovery area and the nurse was telling me it was time to wake up & that my ride was here! I was not in any pain and noticed I was also wearing the sweatshirt I had had to remove so they could put in the IV. So I didnt need to remember to grab it or or have to try to put it on while coming out of anesthesia. Went home and by the time I was in bad pain again-about 3 hours later, the pharmacy notified me that my prescriptions were ready!! Dr Lloyd also put something in my gums, I cannot remember what, but they are little bubbles of pain killer that burst at timed intervals over 72 hours and thanks to thank I wasnt in much discomfort for the first 3 days and was able to eat soft foods which really helped because I hadnt eaten much since Saturday due to the pain. After it wore off, I did need to take the rx Advil regularly for pain through the weekend and I was quite sore which is normal but I am happy to say that today marks 2 weeks since my surgery and I am completely pain free! I dont feel like I just had oral surgery. I have pretty bad teeth and not once did anyone at MOSA say anything or make me feel judged. I came in with a problem and they helped me out. It was seriously the worst pain of my life and I spent all weekend worrying that they wouldnt be able to help me right away but my worrying was for nothing. I really appreciate Dr Lloyd and his staff squeezing me in & providing excellent care because I know they were booked solid that morning. This was truly a traumatic experience for me because this happened right at the 1 year mark from losing my mom, she was a nurse and my go-to person so not only was I without her support but I couldnt even call her to ask if all the Advil I was taking was safe! This was the first time going through that for me so it affected me emotionally. At one point I had taken 10-12 200mg Advils within 5 hours because the pain was so bad and I was afraid I was doing internal damage or something! So being able to be seen by Dr Lloyd so fast really helped me more than I can explain and I truly received the best care and will return in the future to have an implant put in.

I went in for an erupted wisdom tooth. I had a consultation and was scheduled for surgery the very next morning. I was grateful because I was in pain. I had the surgery early in the morning. Honestly when I woke up I thought they were just beginning to begin extraction. I was in no pain, I don’t remember a thing. I had a follow-up visit 1 week after surgery. I followed my after care instructions took 800mg motrin every 8 hours and my antibiotic every 8 hours and rested 72 hours as told. I had no pain my entire recovery. 1 week later I went for follow-up visit. I was healing properly with no issues. Stopped taking Motrin the day before visit no pain. Plus no pain since it’s been over a month now. I would highly recommend this business. Most professional and takes care of issues you have asap from the initial phone call to the final visit. For having to have my 2nd tooth pulled in 4 months, I had no anxiety because the first went so well! For not having anesthesia again I can say that Dr. LaMothe numbed my gums so well that there was absolutely no pain involved whatsoever. I had all four wisdom teeth extracted and somehow the process was painless. Literally and figuratively. Dr. Lewis gave me an overview of what would happen during and after the procedure and it was all over in about an hour. Loved how helpful and detailed they where. Taking my wisdom teeth out and being under anesthesia was very scary as it was my first surgery ever!! I didnt feel any pain afterwards. Highly recommend them! ALL the staff were Amazing and made me feel comfortable. Before this experience I was terrified of going to the dentist, Now Im telling everyone theres nothing to worry about I had NO pain and NO swelling after getting teeth extracted. I had my wisdom teeth removed here and they did an excellent job. I had very little pain and no swelling. They gave me very clear and easy-to-follow instructions. I would recommend that my friends come here to have their wisdom teeth removed. They were fast, too. I was only asleep for 30 minutes, and was back home (20 minute drive away) within an hour. Overall, a very nice experience.

Honestly, I thought they were going to mess up my mouth and thought all the reviews were bots but it went pretty well over all.I’m writing this on my 14th day post surgery and I’m able to eat without problems now. I ate yogurt, smoothies, and pasta for 13 days straight.I went in for consultation on September 29, 2022. My surgery was October 5, 2022.My surgeon was Ryan Llord, he was around 30 minutes late to the appointment (8 AM) and then the surgery started quickly after his arrival at 8:35 AM. I then woke up at 9:15 amAll 4 of my wisdom teeth were out in some way. One was crooked, two were fully out, one was halfway out.It was $2,985 total. It will probably cost more if your teeth haven’t ruptured or if they’re impacted. Also, I was given full anesthesiaI was given a check up appointment on my 8th day post surgery. The check up appointment only took around 2 minutes. They gave me my prescription to pick up the medicine before my surgery. I was given two types of medicine for pain (ibuprofen 800mg and hydrocodone-acetamin 325 mg) and one antibiotic (amoxicillin 500 mg).I only took the antibiotics since I never had any pain during my healing process. My mouth was 100% numb for 24 hours so from 9:15am until the next day when I woke upI was given one ice bag to put on my cheeks while I was driven home. I wasn’t given a syringe to clean out my holes. I was given my gauze in a nice clean plastic bag which was niceMy girlfriend got her 4 wisdom teeth (all impacted, not ruptured, so a more risky surgery) by Dr. Andres F. Herrera DDS and it has gone pretty well so far. She is on her 9th day post surgery and is doing better. They had to cut into her cheeks to get the teeth out since they didn’t have much space to work with.After her surgery, they gave her two ice packs to put on her cheeks, a syringe, and gauze but they didn’t put any of this in a nice little plastic bag. Also, they didn’t schedule a follow up appointment nor did send her the prescription until AFTER the surgery. (MOSA sent my prescription before the surgery)Also, they only gave her pain medication (ibuprofen & hydrocodone-acetamin). They did NOT give her antibioticsSo, those are two comparisons. Her surgery was $4,500 total but they did have to take out 8 teeth overall + her 4 wisdom teeth weren’t fully ruptured + they did give her two ice packs & syringe BUT they did not schedule a follow up appointment, did not give antibiotics, did not send the medicine prescription until after the surgery so she did have to suffer with pain until they finally sent the prescription.Anyways, MOSA Oral Maxillofacial is genuinely a 5/5 pretty great, cool, and all of the workers were kind.The main office worker that talks to clients was super cool and helped me get in contact with my insurance (I didn’t know how insurance works). Thank you all for the great hospitalityIf you are a paranoid worried person and are trying to choose the right place, I highly recommend MOSA & then Dr. Andres Herrera. I just remembered one of my other friends took out their 4 ruptured wisdom teeth with Dr. Andres Herrera for $3,200 around November 2021 and it went well for him too.Oh yeah, MOSA consultation was $395. The $395 is included in the $2,985 price I mentioned earlier though. So, final price - consultation was $2,590 for the surgery itself. Dr. Andres Herrera consultation for my girlfriend was $120

Amazing overall experience, I had a bone graft few weeks ago, I was expecting some serious discomfort during and after the procedure, to my surprise because of Dr. Lewis’ vast experience and his staff, I did not have any pain or discomfort whatsoever.The staff treated me great and put me at ease before the procedure, Dr. Lewis was very honest and straight forward.I received a call the from Dr. Lewis while at home after the procedure, which I greatly appreciated, furthermore, the next day I had a question and called Dr. Lewis’ office on a Saturday afternoon and I was able to talk to him.This is pure professionalism and genuine care for his patients.Highly recommended, suffice it to say, if I ever need a maxillofacial surgeon I know where to go.

I was given the option to be sedated so thats what I did. Ive heard horrible stories about wisdom teeth pulling and I cant relate. I was seen at the Salinas location for my consultation. All of the staff were attentive and friendly. My oral surgery was at the Monterey location because it is closer to my home. Again, the staff was very attentive and friendly, and informed me of every step of the process. Later that afternoon someone from the office called to check on me. My son and daughter both went here and got there for wisdom teeth pulled. They had good outcomes. They like the option of having anesthesia because they were very afraid. Their pain was managed very well. Im the big frady cat and I went to see Dr Lewis also. I had it without the anesthesia. I think the pre-medication worked. I was looking at my EKG and I was in normal sinus rhythm. I didnt have the urge to run like a horse out of there. Yeah that happened to me at other places. The last time I ran out of the dentist office I was so ashamed and sent my kids to bring back the stuff I had connected to me. I would recommend him to my friends, coworkers, and patients. I am definitely thinking about getting implants from this group.

To start the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The reason for the visit was a tooth extraction on tooth 32 (wisdom). I was given gas while the tooth was being removed. I was nervous about the whole procedure, but I felt no pain what so ever and had an amazing experience. The process was very fast and even after the surgery I felt no pain. I would highly recommend this doctor to remove any wisdom teeth that need to be removed.

I visited Mosa to get a dental implant, and was disappointed to learn that I needed a bone graft first. Dr. Lewis was very straightforward about the risks involved in the necessary sinus lift procedure, and he warned me in advance that it doesnt always work. Following the procedure, he called to be sure that I was doing ok, and when I experienced unexpected symptoms a couple of days later, the Mosa staff scheduled an appointment for me immediately.
