I have been a patient of Moorpark Dental Group for approximately 4 years, my dentist is Dr. Huss, DDS. Which I feel is a great dentist and an honest dentist. I have always had a great experience with my dental exams and cleaning..today I went to see my dentist because I have two crowns that needed to be replaced, I was extremely nervous (fear of dental work/pain). I am writing this review which I never do, because one of the dental hygienist/exray technicians just stood out. His name is Jorge B. He was so kind, patient and took the extra time to make me feel at ease with my exrays and finishing up my temporary crowns. Thank you Jorge for giving amazing customer service. It really is greatly appreciated.

What I thought would be a 30 mins appt, turned into a 2 hours wait. I even fell asleep in the chair waiting. Since I drive 30-45 mins to get there, I spent all day there pretty much. AND I was told it would be about $3k to turn my dentures, that I already pd $21k for, into implants but im now told itll be another $26k - which is ridiculous! Not happy at all & regret going to Dr. Huss in the 1st place.

Frustrating this time around, was there for my animal check up. Dr looked me over and gave me recommendations for some work that needed to be done. Told me to hold on and someone would come in to schedule it for me. No one came. I had plans and needed to leave. I was in the room for 20minutes waiting. People walked in and out to get things but no one said anything to me. Finally I walked out to the front desk. Receptionist asked my name when I told her what happened and went right into her selling and scheduling script instead of apologizing or trying to make me feel better about the huge waste of time and me being late to my next appointment. Not sure I’ll ever go back. Sad since I have had great experiences here before but I am not a fan of poor communication and anyone wasting my time for no good reason.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I wish I could give 0 to negative stars as my husband & I had a terrible experience. This location in Moorpark capitalizes on overcharging their patients and hiking up the bill. They bypass the basic cleaning/X-rays that new patients like ourselves expected, as we have done so at many other places prior.We scheduled a first time visit which was covered by our insurance and was supposed to include a cleaning & X-rays for each of us. They did not give either of us a cleaning as they said we both were in need of deep cleaning which of course was not covered by insurance and cost excessively. However, no cavities nor heavy tarter buildup was even found on my teeth. It seemed shady all around and they gave us invoices for future suggested procedures we supposedly needed that were also not covered by insurance and would cost thousands of dollars. We left feeling cheated and so dissatisfied let alone disappointed that we did not get our cleanings. We have never experienced this kind of dental appointment elsewhere. Also, we were billed by our dental insurance that we now owe this company for the X-rays. Apparently they only do a special type of X-rays and not average/typical X-rays which would normally be covered by insurance.

Pros:1. The surgeon who did my wisdom teeth extraction was good. The three star is given only for his performance and the owners goodwill to reach out.Cons:1. It seems they have a tendency to be quite alarmist about the condition of your teeth, even when they maybe actually in a better shape.2. On one occasion, they recommended a procedure for a supposed cavity, which turned out to be unnecessary. Seeking a second opinion is advisable.3. I found it puzzling that they insisted on cleanings every four months, whereas my current dentist considers a 6-month should do the job.4. Ive experienced discomfort after deep cleanings, and on a few occasions, even had a swollen cheek. Its disheartening to undergo painful treatments that may not have been entirely necessary. Furthermore, I noticed that after each cleaning, I developed a throat infection.I highly recommend seeking a second opinion, prior to going through an expensive procedure.

The staff were incredibly nice. Disappointed that they don’t have private rooms, and unfortunately there was dirt on the floor, walls and equipment. Will not use this dental facility.

I recently had an appointment for an extraction at this dental clinic, and unfortunately, I left feeling highly dissatisfied with the service provided by the dentist.Upon discussing the extraction, I made it clear to the dentist that I was unable to proceed with an implant due to my current financial situation. However, rather than respecting my decision and offering alternative solutions or explaining the options available, the dentist began pressuring me to reconsider. To my surprise, the dentist went as far as telling me that if I didnt opt for the implant immediately, I would not have another opportunity to do so in the future. This statement seemed manipulative and dishonest, as I am aware that the decision to pursue dental procedures can be made at a later time when it is more financially feasible. The dentists attempt to create a false sense of urgency was not only misleading but also greatly undermined my trust in their professionalism and ethics. His demeanor changed after I expressed my reluctance to proceed with the implant, which added to my discomfort throughout the entire appointment.I acknowledge that dental professionals may recommend various treatment options based on their expertise, but it is crucial that they respect and consider the limitations of their patients. My experience at this place was disappointing and frustrating. I hope that this review encourages the dental clinic to reflect on their approach and prioritize patient-centered care, and respecting individual circumstances.

I’ve had nothing but good experiences with Moorpark Dental Group. The receptionists are friendly and helpful and I know I get the truth when I’m told what work needs to be done in my mouth. There’s no trying to upsell services or straight up scam me, which has happened to me multiple times with other dentists in the past.But what really keeps me coming back is my dental hygienist, Sahar. Im usually nervous any time I go to the dentist and she immediately put me at ease the first time. I can tell she really cares about her job (and is good at it!), and she makes just me feel super comfortable which I appreciate. Definitely recommend!

Dont ever bother coming to this location. They wont tell you how much money.. I literally wasted a month and a half waiting. Now they want six hundred dollars. Telling me I have a rare situation. Over a month and a 1/2 ago, they told me no problem. Local anesthetic pull it out your insurance covers it. I show app today and now they want $600.

Probably one of the best dental experiences Ive had. Everyone here is real friendly and has good bedside manner. Recently I went in for a root canal and found the experience to be far less intense than I thought it was going to be. But before that work was to be done, I had to get a cleaning. Their hygienist Marie Rand worked on my teeth. What a nice gal, and her bedside manner is top notch. I was receiving a scaling and root cleaning/planing, which kinda hurts. But Marie was real professional and wiped it out in no time. I highly recommend Moorpark Dental Group and plan on continuing to go there.
