Dr. Bhatia and all the professionals in her office are the absolute best! Dr. Bhatia is more than a dentist. She listens and researches and offers guidance and support for overall health and wellness. I wish she was a GP- I trust and value her opinion that much! Dr. Valery Saikaly is an absolute ace. She’s confident, knowledgeable, and truly cares for her patients. She expertly treated my four cavities, one of which required a crown. Her attention to detail is apparent, a true perfectionist. When it comes to your teeth, you want a professional who cares, and holds her work to a high standard. Five stars. This is the best Dentist office in Monrovia. I have been with them for several years. The customer service is a 10/10. All the staff are excellent, very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I would recommend. Roy is the best !

My first time here With Dentist Jeon. The front desk staff were pleasant and very informative with details that assisted me with getting much needed work done! Dr Jeon & his assistant Abner had a great sense of humor that kept me calm & collected. Dr Jeon made me feel at ease, for I am terrified of going to dentist..lol!! I recall him telling me to breath...& Affirming Im ok which made a helluva difference.

I have been looking for a new dentist as I moved here recently but unfortunately had a bad experience here. They were very nice but somewhat unprofessional and shady. I went in because they had an affordable new patient special but my insurance sent me a bill in which they were charged thousands for X-rays and a cleaning. The cleaning was also very painful which I have never experienced with any dentist office I’ve been to.

My mom is a patient of Monrovia Modern Dentistry and has recently been diagnosed with oral cancer. In the process of needing cancer treatment at City of Hope she needed a dental clearance from her dentist, Monrovia Modern Dentistry. Long story short she needed some dental treatment done asap and Natalie at the office was amazing in helping me get the treatment my mom needed immediately! I live across the country in Chicago and was feeling helpless in helping my mom and Natalie came to the rescue. I myself manage a dental practice in Illinois and I am so happy to know my mom is in good hands back home in California. Thanks again to Natalie and the other professionals at Monrovia Modern Dentistry.

AVOID. Corporate shills.The staff is really nice, for the most part I have always had great interaction with them, but the problem with this place is that its a corporate soulless office. They have a nice modern software for their med records which is nice. But their billing is deceptive and they do things on purpose, like re-sending you the same bill youve already had a payment set up on, and calling you constantly to verify appointments. After you verify, they will still call you again! The reason they inundate you with this communication, is to make you numb so they can throw in some bad bill in the mix. I would posit that they probably make extra money for the company by making their comms confusing. I am on to them. You should be too.They tried to sneak in a patient instruction bill item on a cleaning. Completely false. I had to call them several times for them to remove that, since my insurance, rightly so, didnt cover it. Imagine being on the side of insurance! Ha.The final insult. Due to their terrible and somewhat mysterious billing processes ( this is ON PURPOSE, remember ), they have sent a bill of mine to collections. Thats right, I am a regular current client and these knuckleheads are sending me to collections. I am going to pay that dumb bill and never go there again. Save yourself the hassle.The single star here is for the staff, who is doing their best with what corporate has given them. They are really good people. But the company is garbage.

Im not a patient yet and I already don’t want to be one. My insurance changed and I was assigned to this dentist. I called to make an appointment and to learn about my insurance coverage, but instead, I got a rude response and a person that was obviously not interested in helping a new patient. She didn’t even want to schedule an appointment for me. Fortunately they are not the only dentist in the area. Now I understand why all the bad reviews.

100% would recommend this office. The receptionist Paula is very helpful and welcoming. Their office manager Mary Jo is also very sweet and will work with you for all your billing and scheduling.As for the dentist, Dr.Wu and her dental assistant Jenick are so amazing! They listened to all my concerns and totally melted my fears. They are very empathetic,dedicated, and pretty funny, too. Lol The endodontist here is also great and very speedy! Overall, a great place.

Nice office, pleasant staff. That’s it for the positives.Very high prices and unnecessary services.This dentist nearly destroyed my tooth and nerve when it wasn’t necessary. If the dentist had bothered to actually look at the tooth with a tool,rather than only looking at a picture, she would have seen there was no cavity but simply residue.I went to a different dentist that same day…no root canal necessary, no bone crown lengthening procedure, just a simple crown $800 after insurance, not the $3000 they wanted. You can get an implant for $3000, what a sham!!!The dentist also didn’t notice that there were two other teeth needing new fillings…why?…she didn’t take a tool (like a normal dentist) and look at the teeth with her eyes.If you have tons of money I still wouldn’t go here…it’s better to have as much of your original teeth as possible!!And for goodness sakes, go to someone who will actually look at your teeth with a tool.

It was my first time here today. Firstly, front staff is very friendly. The x-ray tech was very personable, and Dr. Kim was also very nice and communicative. Been to a few other dentists before and everyone was always rude, so customer service was a biggie for me. I like that they dont try to push you to get things you dont need, and if they do recommend a certain treatment, they advise you it is not urgent and can be done at a later time. I luckily only needed a cleaning done at this time, but it went great. Not painful when they were doing the deep cleaning. The exam itself was very thorough, and you can tell the equipment is up to date and new. The office itself is very clean, not dingy or outdated like other places. Overall great experience and happy to be sending my family here.

Nice people but we couldn’t stay in the end Visit after visit where we would be hit be excessive charges linked to totally unnecessary treatments. I would expect a dentist to try to work within insurance coverages and not just push to do the maximum amount of work possible every time. In the end, we dreaded going so chose a different provider.

Shout out to Dr. Lisa Wu and Jenik. They took me in as an emergency and didnt make me feel rushed and took very good care of me especially given the fact that I have high dental anxiety. Jenik was so good with the x-rays too. Its the first time it hasnt hurt. Thank you!!

Recommended implant extraction and bone restoration. Went to another dentist and was offered lazer treatment for bone regrowth which is less expensive and non invasive and will allow me to keep the implant. Not as modern as the name states. Probably don’t have treatment available. Also staff never got back to me on price of extraction although I called twice. Save your money and go somewhere else where they have more modern technology available and the staff is efficient.

DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!They do good work but their billing is all messed up, after not going for over a year I get a notice saying that I owe them something when it was all taken care of and after calling them they said they would reach out and never did. Don’t bother going here go somewhere else that won’t give so much headache a year after you’ve had work done.

My visit here was the best dental experience I’ve ever had (and I’ve had MANY). I came in because I had a root canal done 3 times on the same tooth and it got infected for a 4th time. They saw me right after I called to see if they were taking patients, and the staff is amazing!! The ladies there really went out of their way to help me. The lady at the front desk was on the phone with my insurance company for almost an hour trying to get my insurance authorization. The dentist came in and saw me right away, she knew exactly what was wrong and referred me to a specialist for surgery. Even the x-ray tech was friendly, professional, and personable. The office was clean, they have plenty of parking and it’s next door to Walgreens so that’s convenient. I don’t think I could ever find another dentist as great as this one!!

This office is very bad. The front desk lady is not friendly at all. Also, messed up my insurance and try to charge me almost extra 1000 dollars for some work which supposed to be covered by my insurance. I had to cancel my appointment to talk to my insurance by myself. Then talked to the dentist office that supposed to be covered. Wasted a lot of my time to do all the work that they suppose to do. Every time I go there, I have to wait for about half hour to start. And the dentist just came in and out for every five minutes never gave u full attention. I would never go back to this office any more. And dont recommend either!

In summary: do yourself a favor and dont go there. Worst dental clinic Ive ever been to. Unprofessional staff. Dentist did thorough exam, but pushed for unnecessary dental work. staff pushed for deep cleaning and at first refused to do my semi-annual basic cleaning. It was a bad experience by all means.

The worst dentistry I’ve ever been. Just waisted my time. My appointment was for regular cleaning and they refused to provide me a regular cleaning, because i had deep cleaning in my record previously. In fact i did regular cleaning last time with them.Folks be careful with that type of dentistries, they are ripping off clients by pushing you to buy unnecessary services.

I usually hate going to the dentist. I had a tooth ache and when i called they were able to see me that same day! I went in for my appointment and everyone was very friendly. The dr let me know that i needed a crown. When the finance lady came in she gave me all of my options on the different crowns and she even was able to give me a payment plan for 12 months with no interest! Then the dentist came back and WOW...it was completely painless and they finished everything that day so i didn’t have to go back for another appointment to get the real crown. With my past dentists they would have me wear a temporary for 3 weeks then go back to get the real crown. This is my new family dentist!!! I will refer this office to anyone looking for a great, hassle-free, HONEST dentist.

The doctor found 3 cavities, said my gum was messed up, that I needed a deep cleaning and a couple teeth removed urgently. Ive been having check ups my whole life and was never told for any such things... BUT I understand that I might have ran out of luck and she might be right.I did not go with any of it because I wanted to think about it.SAMANTHA (the one who explained me about the financial side) seemed annoyed that I did not go with any of it. She intentionally left the cavities treatment on before trying to make me sign for the paper... good thing I caught it before. AND, she charged me $40 for a regular cleaning. I asked her like 10 times if this was the most basic cleaning because my regular cleaning/check up should be covered by the insurance. She told me that was the most basic. I thought maybe my insurance coverage changed so after the 10th time making sure, I went ahead and paid the $40 to have my cleaning done. Later that night, I just wanted to double check about the copay and went online to check my insurance benefit. It said $0 for preventive cleaning and check up . That was all I had asked for. I go back the next morning, proof in hand, that Samantha lied to me. She is the only one at the front desk. I explain her everything. THEN she finally says: well your gum is infected so you needed this and that special cleaning done... I tell her that I asked her 10 times to give me the most basic cleaning which should be entirely covered by the insurance. All she said was yes. .. No apologies, no money back. She said come back tomorrow and talk to my manager.To be honest, the $40, I could care less... it is the way Samantha lies to me in my face and did not even apologize for it after she is caught doing so.That now makes me question all the other things that she wanted me to have done... My personal advice to any of you going there: be VERY careful with her when she says you need anything done.The only good part was the hygienist, Siuneh who was very nice and professional and the manager Lucy who called to follow up about the incident... but not enough for making me or my family go back there... no way.

I am very afraid of the dentist. I saw Dr. Herbert and a number of ancillary staff members during my visit. I had not see a dentist for eight or so years. The work I needed done was completed promptly and painlessly. They use the most up to date treatment options and everything is explained in great detail. They are accepting new patients and take most insurance, pay them a visit.

They used to be really good. I dont know what happened. Their service went down hill. They never call back when they say they will. They constantly cancel appointments. I got fed up when I asked for time off and was on my way to their office, only to find that I was cancelled again. Very disappointed

My mother visited this office for an extraction with the oral surgeon. Although informed by the surgeon that she would be receiving a prescription for pain medicine and antibiotics, the prescription for pain medicine was never sent to the pharmacy and she suffered tremendous pain for two days following her surgery. We attempted to contact the office and did not hear back from them. This is no way a patient should be treated.
