This is a terrible hotel.Our experience started with us being unable to turn in time for the valet entrance (it’s hard to see!) and trying to come in the wrong way. The valets literally screamed at us. When we circled back around to the right entrance they continued to be brusque. Later one of the valets would watch us struggle to find the elevator button, only to help a food delivery guy up before helping us.We stayed here with the idea of using the pool, a fact we communicated to the staff on several occasions. But on the way to the hotel my wife was looking for the menu on the website and discovered that the pool would be closed the duration of our stay for a private event. No staff informed us and the front desk clerk checking us in wasn’t aware either.The rooms are cheaply decorated and weird. The penthouse has a shower that opens directly into the living room (with a shower curtain!!!)And the “room service” is ridiculous. We ordered breakfast: it comes from a coffee shop nearby apparently. The croissants had to be a week old. They were so dry as to be inedible (but $4 a piece!). The coffee was bitter and undrinkable.There are dozens of better places to stay within blocks of the Mondrian. Do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs.

I stayed at the Mondrian for a short staycation to celebrate my birthday. The hotel is beautiful. We had a great experience all around from the moment we arrived. They accommodated our very late check in, valet was fast and professional, the people at the check in desk were welcoming and helpful. And our suite was so cute and spacious. I enjoyed the pool area, where the staff were very hardworking and helpful. Im looking forward to staying here again.

Once you learn the hotel is loosely based off Alice in Wonderland, youll see it in a whole different light! The design choices become so thoughtfully selected, with black and white checkered bathroom floors, pops of teal, multi-dimensional side tables, etc. It combines whimsy, with luxury, with traditional.The in room dining was very fast! I had my order within 15 minutes of placing it, and it was excellent.I wish Id had more time to enjoy the pool, but learned its an iconic spot in LA!The hotel is in a great location being clean, safe, and being the perfect central location to lots of other parts of LA.

This is our second stay at this hotel. The first time, we flew in and didnt need parking. However, this time with a car has been incredibly inconvenient. They dont prioritize their guests needs. All they care about is the night life with the random people that show up to their hotel. To begin with, theres a single-car driveway where you must wait in line for valet parking since thats the only option available. When we arrived, we were told to move our car downhill to unload our luggage and then wait in line again for valet service.The receptionist was dismissive during check-in. Despite being a Gold member with Expedia, when I requested an upgrade, she incorrectly stated it was only possible with an American Express booking, which is completely false. I told her Expedia showed them as a VIP Access, and I would let them know about my encounter. She seemed not to care and said, Go ahead. Horrible manner and customer service.Later, when we returned downstairs to eat, there was a sign at the valet station indicating a 30-minute wait to retrieve our car—a frustrating delay considering the nightly parking fee of $68 with no alternative options offered. This experience alone would keep me from staying here again, especially given the numerous great hotels in the area.Moreover, this hotels pool area turns into a noisy nightclub with many strange people in the lobby since the pool is on the main floor. This is not the type of atmosphere we anticipated.Now, on our second day at 7:30 am, I planned to shower while my family slept, but the bathtub didnt drain, leaving me unable to do so. Instead, Im writing this review until I can call maintenance once my family wakes up.Overall, I would strongly suggest against wasting your money here.

We had a fantastic weekend here.I thought the pool would be cold but it was nice. Fantastic views of the city. If you go early you hear lots of birds and see the mist come up into the sky.Fun party on the Saturday night. They handed us earplugs and offered us free entry. If you cant beat em, join em. We were tired but still had fun.The rooms were clean, the showers were really cool with different faucets. The hotel shampoo was lime and bergamot. I used it over the one i brought.Wine key included with the room. Balconies were great, loved the mattresses, pillows, sheets, the breakfast restaurant in the hotel is so good too. So quiet you can have a conversation.We cant wait to come back here.

From a vendor point of view its the worse vendor friendly venue I have ever worked at as they make you Park on the side street, which is going downhill, and makes it very challenging going back up with your dolly/cart full of equipment.They have elevators and wont even let you use them to make it easier and more efficient to setup in a timely manner. At the end were all there to help out the client that books the Venue for their event and should work together to make it as easy as possible for all involved in Making it a great experience for the client.The Skyroom is a great and beautiful venue to host an event and I would gladly recommend it but the fact that they put outside vendors at the bottom of the list, literally, does not motivate to send clients their way and I actually dont think that they care because they are very active with events.My comments are based 100% from an outside vendor experience.

Awful hotel. Tiny stuffy rooms. Poor service, no room service. Bad value for money. Tiny pool cannot seat more than 10 people, then they put reserved on everything. Music plays until 2-3am, cannot sleep. It’s not stated anywhere either. Poor service by the pool, you’ll probably die of thirst before being noticed. Would never stay again or recommend to anyone. Honestly ruined my entire trip. Spoke to others in the hotel who also left to go to another hotel during their stay

Amazing location and beautiful hotel… however the bed setup and bathroom is very weird you have more than two guests…My bed couldn’t have been any closer to the bathroom. One step out and you will slam your foot against the frame. Also there is no fan in the bathroom and the light switch is on the outside so you’ll blind everyone sleeping if you have to go in the middle of the night… overall great spot but I wouldn’t stay here again if I meant I had more than two people on the room.OH! And our phone didn’t work so we couldn’t call valet ahead of time to pull up our car which was one of the best perks… it’s just the little things that added up.

We had such an incredible experience staying at this hotel! We loved everything about our stay. The room was so so lovely. Honestly, we would have stayed another night if we didn’t have plans back home. Everybody was so nice and accommodating. The guys at valet, I believe one man’s name was Mario, were very kind. The front desk staff were so welcoming as well. Additionally, the staff at SkyBar at around 5:30pm yesterday (Friday) were great! My husband and I are a little introverted. One gentlemen bartender noticed we were about to leave because we weren’t sure if it was our scene stopped us and encouraged us to stay for a drink. He was bartending the small bar near the hotel entrance/exit. I’m so glad we stayed. His drinks were so good and put us in a great mood before heading to Casa Madera for dinner. Casa Madera was another incredible experience, so glad we had reservations! What I loved was that everything we needed was at the hotel. We had amazing food, drinks, and a comfortable room to come back to. Oh, and the lattes from the Cafecito were fab! We will definitely be staying here the next time we visit!!! 5/5 stars!

Such an amazing hotel in the perfect location. The staff is great and goes above and beyond. This was my second time staying here and this time was even better than the last. The concierge is so helpful and a special shout-out to Ben who was extremely helpful when I was sick one day. He even checked on me the next day and was very kind. Start to finish, with the exception of the room itself, staying here was a truly disappointing experience.My credit card offered a slew of benefits to staying here and despite the extra essence (because of the Grammy’s), I paid almost $600 in cash and points to stay at the Mondrian on 2/3/2024. My first point of negative contact was when I reached their call center after hours and spoke with the very rude and dismissive Precious. Her tone was argumentative and dismissive. My call was to confirm my check-in time because although it was offered as a credit card benefit, there was no where to let them know what time I was arriving, which was only 2 hours before the planned check-in. I shrugged it off and moved on.At check-in, things went smoothly and the staff was polite. When arriving at the room, I was genuinely impressed! Good size, nice furniture and amenities. I’ll warn you tho, their pool is not heated. Shortly after check-in, a friend and I went for a hike. When I returned to clean-up, I asked if someone from housekeeping could send up some glassware and ice. What I didn’t ask was for them to enter my room, while I was in the shower and steal my beats headphones. I reported the incident to the front desk and they shrugged it off, I also asked if any had been turned into the lost and found but no luck. The last time I saw them was when I set them on the table, next to where the glass wear was dropped off.We attempted to order some food from room service with the $100 credit but they were extremely overwhelmed. After 30 minutes of calling, I went to the front desk and asked them to give an order to the room service attendants, who weren’t available to answer the phone. About 20 minutes later, I received a call that the food would take about 40 minutes. We had to cancel because we had a dinner reservation.The next morning, we were woken up at 7am to the blasting of air horns from a protest across the street. I was told that Sunset was actually the quieter side of the hotel because the Sky Bar regularly hosts parties until 2AM.On attempting to use the $26 breakfast voucher, we were told that the voucher only covered $21. I asked the manager, who corrected the restaurant attendant bit for some reason the $26 entree showed up as $16 on the bill and 3 eggs turned into 2.Over all, I’d give this place a 3 because there were some things done right- however, I’m pretty upset about my stolen headphones and the insinuation (from not only the call center manager (Deborah) but also the in house manager (Aaron)) that I was lying about the theft.I’d suggest using your Do Not Disturb sign on your door at all times, if you choose to stay here.

I booked a reservation for one night at this hotel. I check out the next day and received my folio by email, as normal. A few days later I checked my credit card statement and saw they had charged me for my room twice. I thought it was a simple mistake and called to resolve it. When I called they told me I had actually stayed two nights and thats why I was charged twice. I explained that I had proof of my online reservation and it was only for one night. They then were adamant about checking security footage to show me leaving before offering to refund me for the additional night. I thought this was ridiculous and inconvenienced me. I asked for them to comp my parking due to the inconvenience and they rejected me. Always check your credit card statements people! I wont be staying here again.

Currently staying at this hotel, I opted for an upgrade to a balcony suite for an additional $150USD per night on June 7th, 2024.The initial impression was promising—the hotel exuded beauty. The first night was enjoyable; however, the experience dwindled thereafter. We attempted to replenish our water supply but found it unattended to the following day.Despite multiple attempts to contact room service, our calls went unanswered, prompting frustration. By day three, the issue persisted. After persistent efforts, including reaching out to the front desk, we finally received the necessary attention, albeit belatedly. Despite the commendable dining experience, the recurring service lapses overshadowed our stay. Regrettably, I cannot foresee returning to this establishment.

Great Location, beautiful pool, especially during sunset.When I stayed there the service was well below standard: Things I requested were forgotten to take care of, checkin took 20mins, service at the pool took forever, the restaurant for breakfast opened half an hour late without explanation. Also, the room facing the street was extremely loud due to cars racing up and down Sunset Blvd all night.All in all a very disappointing experience for such a fancy hotel.

Super bad experience first rude valet they want to only take some cars to make money and will let you know if you pay extra they can take care of you but you tell them you are here to check in then they are ok but the Bellhop rude that they are busy and they will give you a bad look made my check in experience at the hotel so bad .. so many people come here to have fun drugs and crazy so much going on I will not recommend this place to anyone I will recommend Pendry hotel really great place to stay way better coffee valet, Bellhop restaurant everything

My family and I just spent five nights at Mondrian Los Angeles for March break. Everything was top notch at this hotel, from arrival to departure. The front desk staff, especially Rachel, were beyond helpful and kind. They accommodated every request with patience and understanding. We had a gorgeous, huge room on the 10th floor and we literally never heard a single noise all night. The room was clean and functional with lots of room to sleep our family of four comfortably. The pool is gorgeous and warm and my 12 year old stepdaughter had a ball swimming in it each day. The bar staff made us delicious mocktails. The restaurant in the hotel, Casa Madera, was the best meal we had on the trip. The lattes at Cafecito in the hotel lobby were perfect. The valet staff were excellent. The check out was seamless. I can’t say enough good things about Mondrian LA. Thank you for an amazing vacation! ♥️

My two girlfriends and I decided to have a relaxing stay at the Hotel Mondrian and unfortunately we encountered an employee who snuck into our room and we walked in on him performing sexual and inappropriate acts. My friends and I were violated and traumatized by the incident. We had to demand the employee pull up his pants and leave our room with no one there to defend us. To make things worse, the hotel management has failed to take any responsibility for their employee’s actions, even though the incident was captured on film and the employee admitted guilt in criminal court. This is not the kind of experience you would hope to have to encounter at a “five star” hotel.

The absolute worst experience in the history of hotel stays. This hotel is no better then the cheapest hotel you can find. The room looked how it did in the pictures except the TV didn’t work. They never put trash bags in any of the trash cans. The bed frame is 100 percent susceptible to bed bugs and lice among other things because it looked like it had never been cleaned….. ever.Don’t get me wrong there was good experiences at Mondrian but the bad definitely outweighed the good. We did get the room with a view we asked for which was beautiful, but really the only nice part about staying here. Upon arrival, valet is 65 PER NIGHT. And they were RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, AND TREATED US LIKE THEY WERE INCONVENIENCED TO DO THEIR JOB EVEN THOUGH IM PAYING THEM JUST TO PARK MY CAR. The bellmen at Mondrian had the exact same attitude, rude and gave us dirty looks every time we came down. We tried informing the front desk but they were not concerned at all about our feedback and I did not feel heard or that my complaints were taken seriously.We stayed an entire week and we’re never offered any amenities. No breakfast NOTHING.But of course with YT privilege you can get anything you want out of this hotel. People stayed 3 nights and got breakfast vouchers for every day they stayed and they weren’t disrespected every single day.On our last night in LA we we’re trying to go about our day and end our week vacation on a good note… but valet LOST OUR KEYS. AND RUINED OUR LAST 2 entire days. They had to remake the entire key and wasted our whole day and they still wanted to charge me 65$ per night for valet. They completely wasted our time and you wouldn’t believe how care free Mondrian was. Valet is their third party losing their hotel guest vehicles and so it’s not their problem. I complained to Mike and Sal the hotel managers but their communication is so off that one person said one thing and the other said something else.Mike told me to make up for the inconvenience I could help myself to the mini bar and snack bar in the room. AND THEY STILL CHARGED ME FOR IT. I called and told them that I discussed my situation all day when they lost my keys and the next day before checking out not to charge me anymore because they completely dropped the ball and Sal just acted like there was nothing he could do about even though he’s a “manager”. They continued to keep charging me for the amenities I used after they offered them to me. They continued to charge for parking after they LOST MY KEYS. They continued to charge me 35 dollars and another 11 dollars per-night for no reason. This hotel is nothing but money hungry careless and irresponsible people. Both valet and hotel personnel. Absolutely disgusted with my stay. Never again.Update: “Thank you for choosing to stay with us at Mondrian Los Angeles, and taking the time to provide us with your feedback.We are very sorry to hear that we didn’t meet your expectations during your visit. We appreciate your candid comments and will learn from them to help us improve in the future. My refund for parking, Uber that valet said they would reimburse me for, my last nights stay for being inconvenienced, having to cancel reservations on my last nights stay in LA, an entire weekend ruined and refunded for the mini bar and an apology because Sal and Mike “their managers” couldn’t get on the same page and continued to charge me instead of being accommodating or making my stay enjoyable after they completely wasted ANNIVERSARY VACATION.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. The location was incredible! We went to the comedy store twice in our stay because it was right across the street. They only have valet parking which is exactly what you want because parking in that area would be absolutely crazy. Just make sure you plan ahead if events are happening cause it will take time for them to get your car up but I will say that they let us know well ahead of time and were super helpful with that. We had asked on check in if we could get a room that didn’t face a pool because we had read that it could get noisy with events. They were super accommodating and even upgraded us for free which was so kind of them. Our room was so quiet at night and we had a great view of LA. We did notice that the fridge in our room wasn’t cold but that’s because we learned it’s for display purposes. However, when we spoke to the concierge they arranged for a fridge to be brought in and were really helpful! The cleaning staff are super kind and our room was always cleaned with fresh towels each day. The lobby can get a bit busy with the events that happen, but it’s nothing crazy and it didn’t effect us in any way. We didn’t try out the pool but it looked nice and the area looked clean. Definitely a great place that we’d come back to and a name we’d love to try in different cities.

We stayed 4 nights. The hotel is nicely decorated and in a good location. But keep in mind that the entire operation of the hotel is subordinated to the night club by the pool. At night, the hotel lobby is more crowded than the station. At night, almost none of the hotels facilities can be used because everything is full of night club guests, even staying in the lobby is very unpleasant because of the noise and crowd. The guy at the entrance to the pool is very rude. At 11 a.m. he rudely asked us for ID cards to access the pool. Of course, access to the pool is included in the resort fee. Upon his colleagues objection, she drew his attention to the fact that ID cards for the swimming pool are required only after 6 p.m. because then only people 21+ have access. Although I dont understand why either, we still paid the resort fee which includes access to the pool. What if we have children, what about them after 6 p.m.?Housekeeping took away the dirtier towels with no clean towels left. The front desk assures me that towels are definitely left, are we crazy to think that there are no towels in the room?

This location is great for visiting in West Hollywood. It is also close to Hollywood Hills and all celebrities houses. If you want to see Sunset blvd this is a great location. Rooms a very nice and service is excellent.

I booked my room for five days via an app. I won’t mention the app, but it was the best deal I could find through a Google search. I stayed at the hotel for five days. When I checked out, on the bill there were additional fees of $30 a day. I asked the reception person why are you charging me an extra $30 a day? The reply I got was, “if you book through a third party, we have additional fees”. I told her that it doesn’t make sense because that’s not written anywhere… Which it wasn’t. Her reply was too bad, next time book directly. So basically what they did was reimburse themselves for the discount I received for the room from the third party company. So the room actually came out to be a little more by using the app. This is and bad business! it cost me $150 learn this lesson. I will not stay this hotel again. Stay in a lot of hotels year-round. And I will recommend anybody. I can’t tonight because they have fees. It will charge you without letting you know in advance. And they are heartless about charging that money.

Love the Mondrian Hotel. Its a very cool & chic hotel on Sunset Strip. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Love the Balcony Suites overlooking the pool - so fun to sit outside and take in the scene. Suites are modern and fun, beds are very comfortable. The pool has great music and the food and drinks are very good. Love this hotel for my girl trips, you basically never have to leave the hotel: Pool, Bar, Restaurant, Club all in the hotel - and always feel safe even as a women alone at night. Thank you Mondrian Hotel - we will be back soon.

The rooms themselves are wonderful. Very spacious and nice and updated. The bed is extremely comfortable. The only downfalls are that there was a dead cockroach in my room, and if you want peace and quiet this is NOT the place to go. There are parties in the pool every night and day.. Music pounding until 2-3am and you can hear it all from your room. They should really let people know about this..

Super value for money, excellent service!The rooms are spacious, amenities are plenty and the location cant be beaten. The value for money you get is unmatched.Most of all, the staff were super friendly and helpful. I had a small issue with the wifi not connecting in my room and BEN at the front desk was so quick to rectify. He put me in a new room, on a higher floor where he knew the wifi was working. The speed of action and him going above and beyond was great.The lady on concierge (sorry, forgot her name) was also really helpful when i was expecting to receive a package.This place was impressive!

The hotel do not care about their guests. Our chrome cast in our room didn’t work from day one, someone did try to fix it but left and never returned and the wifi connection is terrible. We saw the pool and bar plastered all over their website but when we wanted to go up for a swim they were closed and then when we wanted to go up for a drink they said that it was a private event and guests couldn’t attend, we had to listen to the music upstairs blasting until 2am. This hotel is an absolute joke and only care about how they look to others and not accommodating to guests at all.

Hip hotel in Weho with a clubby bar area. Very cool, obviously intentional design in the suites - they asked if we wanted to upgrade on the night, and it wasnt too crazy, so we did and it was worth it. Balconies have a GREAT view, like really nice. The pool area is also very chill.There for partying on Halloween, it was nice to be able to just head back to the room. Vibe was a bit... Weho on Halloween, kinda oh look how cool/important I am, but not aggressively so. Sorta fun to laugh at the ones taking themselves too seriously, but there were fun people just there to have a good time, too.Note: Cash bar only (at least on Halloween), but there IS an ATM.

No TV working at all, and “Chromecast is down for the whole hotel,” nothing else on the channels works, either. The pulsing, awful music from the pool is exhausting. Staff are nice and responsive, but the bar takes over everything.

If you want to sleep, this is not the hotel for you. They have parties at the Sky Bar until 2AM on Saturday nights, and then our neighbors above and to the side had parties until 6 AM. I had a very bad experience in this hotel checking in and extending my stay. A front of desk staff member called Sal was incredibly rude to me, after lying to me about the rate on the room and then threatened to cancel my booking after I pointed out his a mistake.The girls that work at the front desk are nice (Bonnie and the the other one).The rooms are nice but the hotel is incredibly loud, there is a nightclub that plays music loud until late in the morning.For the price / if this is your budget you can stay somewhere nicer with more pleasant staff and hotel amenities.

Vibey spot with great music - there was a DJ playing last Saturday. The rooftop was so fun with my friends. I NEVER drink frozen premade drinks but had a sip of my friends and died it was so good. If you’re there try it, honestly it was great just one is all you need! I will definitely be back!

Yikes! The pool is absolutely not a part of the hotel. It is usually booked out for private events even if there is no indication anywhere that an event will take place that day. They will kick hotel guests out of the seats in order to fill them with people who want to pay for bottle service. I would not recommend this hotel unless your reason for staying here is to attend these parties at the pool.

DJ at the pool on the weekend was quite loud, but we were so tired from the day we slept fine, and moved the next day. The room had a desk, large couch, kitchen table and TV on a swivel. Wish the refrigerator was empty for our own drinks vs theirs. Great views of downtown via enormous windows. Fabulous drapes to block morning light. This Hotels pool area is fully open to the public. We were full paying guests but had nowhere to sit or lounge around. Instead we noticed Ubers dropping off individuals and they just walked into the pool area, no key or ID required. The view is not bad but they really really need to clean the pool, it was pretty dirty so thats a bummer. I agree with other previous guests that this is a party hotel. It was loud DAY AND NIGHT. Difficult to sleep and relax in the room with the obnoxious noise. We also noticed two cockroaches in the tub but we took care of that ourselves so no big deal there. Ive stayed at 6 others in the area and this is by far my least favorite. This hotel is not intended for people who want to relax and enjoy a nice clean pool. No peace and quiet at this hotel. Concierge typed in wrong expiry date on my card and result was that it declined. I thought it was because I never told the bank that I was going abroad, this was not the case as my bank explained. Cocktails at the pool were disgusting, gave a few different cocktails a go but all of them were terrible. Don’t waste your time or money there when there are plenty of good bars around. Housekeeping did not replenish coffee, coffee cups or creamer, shampoo or body wash. Nor did they take the trash out. I checked in to a room that hadn’t been vacuumed, collected dust and hair on the bottoms of our feet and the bed sheets had a short curly hair in them (gross). We didn’t realize the pool area has now become an over 21 area after 1 pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday turning the whole outside area into a sleazy pick up joint for ages 21 to 30 which is great if that is want you’re looking for . Another icon has lost its greatness and uniqueness. If you believe the pictures on the website and the descriptions you will be disappointed. The pool has shrunk to a small area and a large wooden wall blocks the view of LA from the lobby and pool. The pool is dirty and the wooden deck is pitch black as it is used more as a dance floor for the Skyvbar than for pool activities. Loose boards & strips. Projecting nails, sloppy painting ..... a hotel without maintenance. The reason is obvious the areas are leased to third parties to maximize profits to the disadvantage of the guests. There is no adequate breakfast, no lunch and dinner is not possible as a guest as the restaurant does not belong to the hotel. Nobody can help you except yourself by eating in another restaurant outside. In principle, the Mondrian is nothing more than an aging Bed ONLY Hotel. The new hotels in the area are certainly a better choice. Keep the eyes wide open when choosing a hotel .... Instagram and websites do not correspond to reality.

Housekeeping is a joke. I specifically asked for housekeeping because I spilled a cup of coffee on the bed. They changed the bedding. Took the two bathrobes we used without replacing them, left the garbage on the table. The body moisturizer was used. Conditioner in shower empty. All this for $300.00 per night. Mondrian is not what it used to be. Its not all bad but book at your own risk.I was there for two weeks for a business trip. I used to come here a decade ago and thought it would be fun to combine business and leisure (my mistake).What this place is good for: a party hotel for a night, maybe two. And it gets LOUD, pretty much every night and much worse on weekends (see note on party hotel).The pool is meh and mainly used for people to pose. Especially after 2 pm. Sky bar staff ignores you if youre not a dude/large group looking like youre there to spend money. I was never approached to see if I wanted anything. I had to kindly ask to see a menu.Housekeeping/laundry lost one of my items: given to someone else who had inconveniently already checked out. It took 3 phone calls and following up with the manager to get a credit.Minibar refill staff shows up during the day and comes in in your absence. Twice they left opened (*not by me*) snacks in the mini bar area which made me believe someone had come to my room and helped themselves. Wasnt a fun moment. Took 2 phone calls and a follow up to resolve.The vent in the bathroom smells like frying oil at all times during the day. It was just a one off. This was every day.Housekeeping is not consistent: they dont always replace all towels or the robe. Also left items (garbage bag roll) behind.It was something almost every. day.I wanted to love it but bottom line is that this place is a mess. Any stay beyond 2 days and youll get to enjoy the chaos and mediocrity.

A little hard to find to pull into the entrance so really be on the lookout if you have rented a car. Its easy to miss. When you walk into the hotel entrance you will be greeted with a beautiful aroma scent. Upon arrival it did not take long to check in, but we checked in on a Sunday at 1:00 pm. so there was no wait! The lobby area is a little small and nothing too impressive, but the pool area was very hip and the views were awesome. Things got a little scary that night as one of the guest got out of hand and started an altercation with the security so the police had to be called.Our suite was fabulous though and the vibe was cool. However, being on the corner suite we were trying hard to keep all the light out from the big flashing sign that was across the street at the other hotel. Even with the black out shades we could see the light flashing in and had to put a pillow on the floor to hold the curtain closed to keep the light out. Beds were comfy though and once we got to sleep we slept well. We did have to order food from across the street to get coffee and breakfast since they didnt have any place onsite to get that at this time. But, it was a short walk. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and a fun place to stay not to mention a great workout if you walk out of the hotel down to Santa Monica Blvd.

Beds were dirty when we checked in. Towels were dirty. The bathroom door didn’t slide closed. Toilets took multiple flushes every time, due to this and the door not closing we had to use the washrooms in the lobby and at the hotel across the street. Housekeeping would come either at 8:20 am or 6pm after asked that they come during the 8 hours we were gone during the day.I’ve stayed at the Mondrian before and enjoyed my visit. There was a function for LGBTQ+ professionals that I attended yesterday. It was my first time at the venue and I was a little confused about where the function was taking place. I entered through the front door and noticed that the front desk staff did not acknowledge or try to help me, nor did they even say hello. I tried to find my way and there were two doors on the ground floor. There was one tall white guy with an iPad who was checking people in, so I thought maybe he was involved with the event. I showed him my invite, but he mockingly pointed to the other door. His demeanor, attitude, and behavior were all indicative of someone who thinks they are better than others, which was very insulting and disappointing. I suggest that the venue management train their employees on what hospitality means or simply remind them to do their job.

BEWARE OF THEFT. I wanted to like this hotel. The suite we had was very comfortable and the service was fast and reliable. However, a special gold ring of mine was stolen by housekeeping, and while I understand these incidents do happen especially in LA these days, it’s how the hotel responded to it that upset me deeply. My ring went missing during the time housekeeping was in our room. The hotel management ran a thorough investigation on who went in and out and interviewed all the housekeeping staff. What upset me was the hotel’s response - they wrote me a long email stating that unfortunately none of their staff took the ring and that I should look harder in the room before I check out. This implied that it was my fault, that somehow I misplaced or lost the ring, which I know wasn’t the case since I left the ring in the room right before heading out that morning. Instead of simply concluding that none of their staff admitted to it, they seemed to suggest that the ring was lost due to my carelessness, which was extremely upsetting after I had just lost a $3k ring. Lastly, they didn’t offer any sort of compensation for my loss.

The shower in the room we stayed in did not work (fixed at a burning hot temperature). When I approached the front desk, the first suggestion was to “shower in the gym”. What a rude response for a higher end hotel. I ended up having to shower at another empty room. Then, the next day maintenance came and still could not fix, so I showered in burning water. Considering all this, the hotel still charged for late checkout fee (was able to get just 1 hour deducted after arguing). No offer of any sort to make up for the bad experience. I stayed for 3 nights in a studio suite with a balcony. The location is fantastic. Unfortunately it rained all 3 days so I did not get a chance to use the pool or other related amenities but I did spend a considerable amount of time in the room working. I loved the bathroom. Quite large with a shower/tub combo, a vanity and the bathroom also had a separate table, chair and close up mirror for make up. The bed was super comfortable and the sitting area had a couch/day bed as well as a large table perfect for doing work. I love that the Mondrian still has a mini-bar. It’s a dying concept in most hotel chains but the mini-bar here makes up part of the fabric of the room and the experience. The service was better than I expected. Its too bad that the House of Blues shut down as well as a comedy club and so many different places that were so close to this hotel there are many excellent hotels in the area but the Mondrian is definitely the place where people go! The Sky Bar is unbelievable and it is so much fun. First of all you walk in and the decor is amazing all the wood in the front lobby and even in the elevators and everything is flamed maple. Everything is so well organized and decorated and just so welcoming and beautiful the rooms are more than amazing! A smaller sweet even had rain showers multiple heads! Generally every time Ive stayed here I stay in a suite but there have been one or two times when I stayed in a regular room on tour and all the rooms are wonderful! But the Suites are really something to take in! I absolutely love how bright it is with all the light and just welcomes you to want to live there! The staff is so nice and accommodating and I cant say enough good things about this hotel I stay here as often as I can. This is definitely a romantic place as I always set it for my husband and I to have a great place to stay we would either stay at the Mondrian or Lowes and personally I love them both and now the Mondrian is actually more affordable then even the Roosevelt! But probably due to the fact of all the changes in Hollywood and it being so far down Sunset Boulevard so youre closer to Beverly Hills Beverly Center stuff like that then you are to downtown Hollywood. But its still a lot of fun and a great place to go plenty of very cool places to eat and have fun at.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. To sum it up: if you’re not looking to party and you want clean rooms - don’t stay here.My room was not clean. There was rotten food in the fridge when I arrived and hair all over the place.My room was on the pool facing side - which was terrible. The pool/bar is open until 2 am blaring music making it incredibly difficult to sleep.The biggest issue though was that I was suggested by the front desk to look into changing my room to a non-pool facing room when I called in the middle of the night. When I checked in the morning, they said they didn’t think that was possible because it was a pretty full house. I said fine no worries, I’ll stay in my room. I then left for work for the entire day - and during that time I received an email saying I had checked out of my room. I called and 3 people told me that I would not be able to get back into my room because someone else was already in my room - which of course made me freak out because all of my stuff was in the room when I left. I finally got someone on the phone who got me back into my original room.When I was checking out I brought all this up to the manager at the front desk and his responses were very dismissive saying “you chose a lifestyle hotel in a fun area so that’s what you got. People come here to have fun”. When I referenced this was on my corporate company’s preferred list and said I can’t imagine my VP staying here he said “oh well a lot of VPs come here and have fun.” The only thing he apologized for was the uncleanliness, everything else was just put on me essentially.Again don’t stay here if you don’t want to be surrounded by drunk people, not be able to sleep, and want a clean room.

I am very very disappointed by the front desk people ! A guy named, Anthony, ( if he has told me his right name, he was wearing glasses) was super rude and very unhelpful ! I was locked out of my room as I FORGOT MY KEYS INSIDE AND THEY DID BOT WANRED TO LET ME IN ! however all y documents and stuffs were there! Have stayed here about 30 times in the last two years, and each time Im asked Is this your first time here?. Has consistently been one of my favourite places to stay in LA. The rooms are great, staff is very nice. Restaurant has gone downhill. Most of the wait staff is excellent, but had a very rude encounter with a waitress recently and have had multiple experiences of finding shells, rocks and poorly cooked food. Overall still a great hotel, just eat somewhere else.

Cool hotel in the heart of West Hollywood.We’ve been coming here for years, the rooms have been recently updated which was good to see. Our studio suite was enormous and very spacious with a comfortable couch and most importantly a heavenly bed. The bathroom was small and the lighting didn’t do any favours for shaving and make up.The staff are all so pleasant and helpful, you couldn’t ask for more. However to be disturbed three times asking for our check out time (after securing a late check out the night before) despite the “do not disturb” sign on the door.The on property dining is limited and better elsewhere in the area but the resort fee and the valet parking were exorbitant. The resort fee was meant to cover in room WiFi but then limits you to 3 devices.The Mondrian has the makings for a five star rating but these little things pull it down, what a shame.

Didnt stay here but attended an event where out party paid for a table. Wasnt super impressed - everyone there kind of carried themselves with an air of superiority like they were both there to be seen but also too cool to be seen there - staff and attendees alike. Security threatened to kick us out for jumping into the pool (at a pool party), staff was stiff and cold. Views out of the pool area were alleyways and other buildings. Maybe the hotel is great on the upper floors, I dont know. Walking in (in pool shorts, going to a pool party), the staff were tolerant but seemed a little put off by us not wearing high la fashion and showing up in a Ferrari. Just kind of the cliche things you might expect from a pricey spot in LA.

Really bad customer service. I would be cautious of the manager Aaron. Not helpful, does not follow up, and did a poor job of taking care of our needs. The property itself lacks real character, reminds me of a cheap knock off version of what most hotels in LA should be like. Additionally they play loud music in the building with base banging late into the evening... Dont go here if you intend to sleep.

Thermostat not working properly. Room was either too cold or too warm. To change the temperature, maintenance had to come in and change it manually in the attic!! Room not equipped with a laundry bag or room service menu. One lamp did not work. Poor TV reception. Stations kept cutting out. Decor was nice and fun, recently re-decorated. Staff was very friendly and quick to respond to our needs. Overall, however, hotel just did not seem up to par with what one would expect.

The lobby, pool area and restaurant are very vibrant and fun and fit the expectations for this hotel.Once you get off the elevator onto your floor, you feel like youve been transported to a different hotel. The hallways are barely lit and the decor is dated. Theres also a faint smell of old and the sounds of mechanical something or other. It really feels like the start of a horror movie.I had high hopes for the room even after walking through the hallway. Unfortunately, those hopes were shattered pretty quickly. The rooms themselves feel like a cheap renovation of a 80s hotel room. Large floor to ceiling mirror wall, cheap 80s brown tile in the bathroom and off white curtains mixed with an overused white, wannabe expensive wallpaper and a too modern television stand monstrosity. On the plus side, the bed is comfortable.My room was facing the city away from the pool and it was very quiet. I heard many others complain that the pool parties went on until 2 am and the partying continued in rooms until 4 am. If you want a good nights sleep, this is definitely not the hotel to pick. I would have probably rated the hotel 2 stars if I had a pool view room strictly for that reason.

Came here for an event - the staff were nice, but seemed extremely busy to be attentive to our party. We had to constantly flag a waiter down to refill our drinks. Food was surprisingly simple and felt overpriced for the quality. It also took about 45 minutes between ordering and actually getting the food, and when we did, one persons dish was missing. The view was ok and the atmosphere was too loud in the indoor area by the swimming pool. Overall, would not have an event here again.

I loved the artsy vibe of this boutique hotel, and our room was pretty spacious. It’s definitely an interesting, unique decor (I felt like I was in Wonderland) and there could probably have been a better use of space in some cases. The large couch in our room had stains on it, as did the tray holding the espresso maker. Upon making a cup, we realized why - because it says to put in the small espresso cup but it over-pours all over the place.The bathroom is also very minimal counter space, especially for a room that had two double beds, half the small counter was taken up by a random lamp and full-size bath products for purchase. Looks nice but not a functional use of space. The TV was on one side of a large “mirror” that swivelled on a pole. Maybe because of its placement or that it was with reflective surfaces, it was hard to control the TV with the remote unless you were specifically pointing it directly at one spot.I’m not used to valet prices so not sure if this is average but ours was $44/night, plus there was a facilities fee too. Check-in staff was friendly .

Absolutely great all day pool party with a hip, subdued ambiance. Maybe it was a lucky day, but there was no high-pitch mating calls, bro packs, kids in the pool, or other annoying behavior that would usually drive one back to their room. Just mellow adults sipping chilled Rosè in the sunshine while chill ambient music plays. The beautiful rooms are quiet and have fun touches, like a glass panel in the shower facing the bed. Theres easy extra parking across the street.

I have to edit my previous review of 1 star, because after the negative experience I had the first evening, the hotel truly worked to step it up. The attendants were helpful, and although the hotel was full, they shuffled some things around were able to accommodate me to a new and even upgraded room to make my stay more comfortable. This place was an embarrassment the service was awful, the pool was dirty, overly crowded, and insanely obnoxious. Some guy with his girlfriend was talking about selling stolen jewelry in front of us when we were walking to the ‘exclusive pool party’ lol. The pool party was an embarrassment of histrionic, attention seeking, stereotypes all sitting around the pool trying to hit on each other’s boyfriend and girlfriends. I think they were just letting anyone in off the street for the ‘big party’, which takes the pool area away from the paying guests. Trashy right?? My boyfriend and I laughed and walked out, told the manager we wanted to leave, he didn’t seem to care, let us go. The valet cost $60 for guests/daily, Lolol, and the guys taking the cars didn’t even have a uniform and dressed like they were coming right off the streets. Very disinterested in the reputation of the hotel apparently. We went down the street and stayed at Le Parc Suites it was perfect for my boyfriend and I. We settled in and then went dancing right up the street in West Hollywood. Thankfully we left the Mondrian before our weekend was ruined by garbage.

I am staying at the hotels fifth floor as I am writing this. We checked-in yesterday and, frankly, I am very disappointed. I expected to be offered something at the arrival (water maybe?). Our car got damaged by the valet parking staff. The room looks from last century. Curtains are dirty. Towels and bed mattress are poor quality and very old. So far, this is the worst hotel in our trip in California. The only positive feedback I can give is that the bar and pool area are awesome. Views to the city are outstanding.

GUESTS BE WARNED!! THIS IS A MOTEL, NOT A HOTEL!!First off, we show up to check in at which point they inform us their pool was closed due to a photo shoot. That information was not mentioned to us until we arrived, which is quite frustrating for someone paying hundreds of dollars a night to stay there and use their “amenities”. (Spoiler alert: there are none, not even a restaurant.)Next, they have a policy where you need to call to get your room made up (Never have I stayed at a hotel this expensive that made you do that). Annoying but doable UNTIL no one answers the phone at the front desk to get someone to make up your room. I called three times, waiting 10 minutes each time and no one answered. My friend also staying there had laundry done and waited THIRTY minutes before someone answered the phone. Unacceptable and quite unheard of in hospitality.When I went to resolve the situation downstairs I was met by a rude “manager” named Robert N. He did not let me explain the situation before interrupting me and speaking over me in a demeaning tone. I walked away frustrated with nothing no issues resolved.I followed up with the Director of Operations, Robert Torres multiple times and he never returned my repeated calls or voicemails.Never again will I stay here and I highly recommend you save yourself the headache and just stay somewhere else. You’ll be happy you did.

The most terrible experience. Our room’s AC was not working and we were freezing. They finally offered to change our room and promised to compensate us for one night. We stayed for another 4 days where we only got housekeepers once and our room was extremely dirty despite us asking for the room to be cleaned they didn’t do it. We didn’t even have clean bed sheets/towels/ toilet paper.They also refused to compensate us at the end saying that “they had no records of that promise being made “. Just stayed a couple of nights over the weekend. Website pictures make it look nicer than it is. To me the rooms were old, dirty, our bed was very uncomfortable, sheets had holes and curtains were dirty and some had holes. I was excited for the pool view from our balcony but they dont mentioned that they have a huge tent covering the whole patio/pool area. I understand why though due to rain, but still they should post this information on their website, either way I wasnt pleased with our stay. However, the staff are nice and friendly and the wife and I did enjoy several drinks by the pool. Wish their Owners/Investors will invest more in this property.

This is not by any chance a 4 star hotel. It’s old, dirty, loud and the shades are not black out like any normal hotel so 6 am you have the sun in your face. Rooms are big but with a very weird inconvenient layout. When we got there there was a huge long hair in the tub. The furniture was old and dirty. Worst part, the awful customer service. We booked it for 5 days and left after 1 night. Wouldn’t recommend it specially for the price. This is ok for a $90-$100 per night, not for almost $300. Terrible experience.

The only good things about this place was the bed, balcony and location! The food and service was incredibly bad. I was checking in alone, after hubby had dropped the bags off earlier and sending me a picture of the luggage receipt but as my surname was different this was difficult. Sky bar service was more a game of hide and seek with the staff - even though it was a slow night. Cold/stale food was served after 45 minutes. I have been staying here for 15 years and it was one of our favourite hotels. It is now ruined. We will never return which I find very sad as we have so many memories at the Mondrian. Flew in to LA for an event for one night. The Mondrian was recommended. I checked in late at 1:30 am and when I walked in the room the TV was on and there was no remote control and no other way to turn it off. I called the front desk and she said theyd send someone. I asked when this person would be here and they said they were busy and couldnt give a time. I said okay, so Im supposed to wait all night to sleep for when you get around to dropping off a remote control? Can you leave the front desk and drop one off or move me to another room? The response was no, were fully booked and busy.At 2:30 I wandered the hallways and found other people and borrowed their remote to turn off my TV since this hotel was obviously not going to send a remote and didnt care.The hotel showed up at 3 AM to drop off the remote control. When I asked for a refund for the room last night they said I was welcome to check out and find another hotel. Never again.Horrible service and horrible attitude for something that was not my fault. Ill be doing a charge back on my credit card. For being stuck in a room I couldnt sleep in.

We had a blast at the Mondrian during Tinsletown Takeover at the Oscars! The hotel staff was courteous and kind despite being full of residents. The hotel is starting to get a bit dated. The hallway carpeting and decor is older and the facade needs some repair. Otherwise the rooms are updated, open and light filled. Good pool to hang out at, but it is popular so it can be very difficult to get a place to sit. Sunday there is a promoted party at the pool, so dont count on being able to lounge a hangover away, as you need to pay for a chair and the DJ will not be spinning relaxing tunes.

The service at this hotel is really disappointing. Clearly the front desk people are new or not trained. The room service took 48 minutes for avocado toast and a coffee in the coffee was literally cold. The valet is a mess, the girl who works at the valet desk answered my phone call and when I requested my car to be brought up she informed me they were very busy and it would take about 15 minutes. No problem I needed my car. I went downstairs about 45 minutes later and she told me that I never called and did not request the car. It’s really disappointing because this hotel could be great but the staff and management is really poorly trained. Save your self the stress and just stay at the four seasons or the London. This hotel cannot compare to ones with properly trained employees.

When there was an opportunity for the management to showcase their customer service, they failed miserably. there is nothing I can do is not an answer that a manager should be using with customers. When I hear them saying nothing I can do - it means nothing I want to do to help you here - which is too bad and which is not an indication of high quality.

The hotel has a very weird feel about it. Seems the hotel is more worried about looks than function within the rooms themselves. Which I guess I can understand since it seems only model looking or annoying going drunk people stay here. The food is outrageously expensive and only subpar when it comes to taste. The service seems decent, the workers all seem pretty attentive and the gym was decent as well. Kept clean and had a good amount of options for machines and weights. Also the pool area is beautiful but also packed with model looking people. If you like that kind of thing, then this place is definitely for you!

An extremely overrated hotel. The biggest issue was their payment method. They ONLY accept credit cards with magnetic strips. Not the more secure chip. So I ended up paying $3,000 in CASH and used a friends card to cover a $200/ night which was another $1,600 security deposit. Otherwise they refused to check me in at 4am and were willing to let me walk out. All this happened and the night shift manager didnt even bother to step out of the office and left us talking to the front desk. In my over 500 hotel visits this was the worst check in experience I have ever had.The rooms are big and nice but the furniture is old. The mattress is covered in plastic with a light cover over it. So basically youre sleeping on a bed that makes cracking noise, thats exactly how a 5 star hotel be should be.I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great stay, stylish room and trendy but small pool.Stayed here for five nights and had a great time.We were facing the hills and Sunset Blvd and the restaurant patio across Sunset. It was audible from inside the room. Didnt border us but might disturb others, especially if youd try to go to bed early. We were on the 10th floor, so it would be a bit louder further down.It is a young crowd around this area.Same around the hotel pool. Very young and hip crowd and very crowded at peak times.Not the place for a quite relaxing time poolside, more a party kinda pool area. The hotel photos online are a little misleading about the size of the pool and deck around it.Really enjoyed our time there though.

Check-in was a 3pm we showed up at 4:30pm our room wasnt ready so we were invited to hang out by the pool and they were suppose to call us in 30mins. 2 hours later, we went to the front desk and they forgot or something. They upgraded us to a higher floor with a view. Overall, the hotel was overpriced and they nickeled and dimed you over everything. $50 for parking $30 for a resort fee $3 for this $27 for that. It was pathetic to be honest. For a 4 star hotel I thought it was horrible service. I highly dislike giving negative reviews, however the management needs to be aware of the unprofessional atmosphere. Upon arriving to the hotel we were put in a room on a first floor facing constructing and told that it is the only room available, however opening any hotel booking sites for that exact dates there were room available on all of them. The receptionist after I mentioned it gave us another room. The cleaning staff would try to enter the room, although there would be do not disturb sign. The staff of the hotel need customer service training. After two nights we decided to change the hotel. I travel on monthly basis and Im very aware of the hotel industry. I have been staying there in May and still waiting to receive my deposit of over $400.00... I tried to send an email to the hotel itself although the email given is not correct.

I was very impressed with this hotel. It was artsy, contemporary, and modern. The bright colors made things pop. I really loved the swing in the lobby. I didnt get to enjoy the Skybar or pool but maybe next time. View was great from the 12th floor and the room bar was well stocked.

It’s a decent hotel, nothing more or less. The bell staff/valet were friendly. Otherwise the customer experience overall I feel is at best average. Staff don’t really acknowledge you (perhaps this intentional for privacy, I don’t know). Rooms are beautifully done and hotel overall is well appointed. Overall I didn’t feel hard done staying here, but I wouldn’t again.

I Places an order for breakfast at 9:30am they called back at 10:30 asking me what was my order again? then calls me back at 11:15 telling me they can no longer serve me breakfast at this time to place a new order for lunch? I am writing to express my deep disappointment with my recent stay at the Mondrian Los Angeles Hotel from June 14-16th. Despite the smooth check-in and courteous service from the bellhop and receptionist, my overall experience was far below the standards expected from a hotel of your reputation.Upon checking into suite 416, I unpacked quickly and left to meet friends for dinner. When I returned late that night, I encountered my first issue. The handheld nozzle in the shower was not properly secured, causing it to spray water directly at the floor. I managed to fix this myself using a pocket knife, but the shower water was cold and would not warm up, regardless of how I adjusted the controls. I had to endure a cold shower and subsequently clean up a large puddle of water on the bathroom floor caused by a poorly sealed shower door, using two of my large towels.The next morning, I discovered that the toilet was running continuously. I reported the lack of hot water, the leaking shower door, and the running toilet to the front desk and was assured that an engineer would address these issues while I was at the gym. Upon my return, it appeared that someone had been in the room, but the shower water was only lukewarm, and the espresso machine was non-functional. Later that day, I found my room had not been cleaned, and the espresso machine had leaked water onto the floor.I reported these issues again to the front desk and was told that housekeeping would clean the room and replace the espresso machine. I had planned to relax in my room but went to the pool instead to allow time for cleaning and repairs. When I returned, my room had been cleaned, but the hot water issue remained unresolved. I took another cold shower that night.The next morning, I informed the front desk once more about the lack of hot water and went to the gym to give them time to fix it, despite not wanting to go. Finally, just an hour before I checked out, I had hot water for the first time during my stay.While the staff were friendly and attentive, the repeated maintenance issues and the inconvenience of cold showers and a leaking espresso machine were unacceptable. My stay was far from the relaxing experience I had anticipated. I hope you will address these issues promptly to prevent future guests from facing similar problems.I look forward to your response and hope that my next visit to the Mondrian Los Angeles will be significantly improved.

Customer service is Trash called the hotel 3 times to speak about some weird charges on my account and was transferred by “Diana” to accounting and the 3rd time I’m naturally upset because why am I getting transferred to accounting when I’m telling you that Its going straight to voicemail and when you can literally go over these charges with me she said “I’m going to put you on hold sir” knowing I’m a woman left me on hold for an HOUR. (Leaving a screen shot at 55 mins so u guys can see I’m not lying) She put me on hold and never picked up the call. I wish I took these reviews seriously. Never staying here again. Rooms weren’t 100% clean, the towels were old and smelled really bad, it took 3 days of our 4 days stay to get replacement towels, when room service came 2 days in she/he tossed my laptop and all my belongings on top of the nightstand all bunched up without care, the entrance smelled amazing but the halls to our rooms smelled rotten (6 floor). I felt like I stayed at Holiday Inn. Don’t be fooled by their “Instagramable” furniture because when it’s time for comfort it’s impractical. Don’t get got like me folks there’s WAY better hotels like the 1 hotel around the block or the four seasons that’s 10 mins away if u need an affordable hotel I’m sure there’s thousand more or just choose Airbnb.

I came here for an event it was pretty cool because I got to see Jordin Sparks perform live here. The hotel room was nice A little more than I expected to be honest Ive never seen mirrors are TVs shaped the way they are here. The staff was very friendly the room gave a nice view of the Sunset Strip. You are close to everything here they have a bar they have a restaurant they have a swimming pool you can walk to just about anything if you want to be in the center of Hollywood on the Sunset Strip this is the place to stay. I did think the room was a little expensive but really for where were at I guess its not really that expensive and I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 stars for one reason in particular and that was it the bed was not as comfortable as I would have liked. If youve heard of the famous Skybar thats here I was pretty surprised I expected it to be on the roof but its really kind of inside just upstairs and you have to be really special to get into there but its its pretty and it overlooks the pool. Even though the bed was uncomfortable I did ask one of the staff and they told me that they are literally remodeling five floors at a time so everything will be new including the beds by next year if I have to come back to Hollywood I will definitely give this place another shot. I almost always like to get 5 Star reviews for places like this but really my backs killing me this morning other than that if you come to stay here hopefully youll get one of the newer beds and if you hear any noise in the background just know when you come up its very loud because youre right on the Strip but in the rooms you cant hear anything. I love the shower and particular they have one of those rain head fall showers and in addition to that they have the ability to take another head off of the wall of the shower was very comfortable and they have a coffee machine that makes awesome espresso and coffee.

Very unimpressed with this hotel on a number of levels - as detailed below, customer service leaves much to be desired - apparently front desk are trained to argue with their customers rather than find solutions!- after my first night, no-one made up the room, despite putting a sign on the door to ask them to do so- on mentioning to the front desk, reaction was not apologetic, but argumentative, trying to blame me for not requesting it (which I did do…), including saying that it was a legal requirement in CA?!- room was generally fine but cleanliness not up to scratch (make up left on towels etc)- shower pressure good, but no temperature control (either scaldingly hot or freezing cold!) - again, front desk thought they’d argue this with me. When they eventually sent someone to fix it, that person was very helpful at least - maybe he should run the front desk…!- rip off approach (eg $8 for a tin of Pringles!) just leaves a bad impression. To add an (non-optional) amenity fee, charge $50 a night for parking etc all seems a bit too much.Overall, don’t be deceived by the slightly lower price than other hotels nearby - these guys will nickel and dime you to the same amount anyway, and you’re better off staying elsewhere and getting a decent service.

Was a decent stay the first couple days, and then one staff Member was EXTREMELY rude upon asking for an invoice For what was charged to my cards,due to another staff Creating another reservation/charging the wrong card under my name while I was already in a room. They canceled the reservation but It had more than it was supposed to from my account. I tried accessing an invoice in person at the front desk. (Just so I can see for documentation purposes and make sense of it)ANY other staff would of printed it up no problem, I’ve stayed here more than 20 times. Once I find the name to the Staff working that early morning shift, I will make sure That’s situation dealt with accordingly, the correct way. I’ve stayed in tens of hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of airbnbs, and luxury hotels like the West edition, or SLS etc. I would say the Mondrians Service is bottom tier, the rooms are *what makes it worth it* and even then the rooms aren’t anything spectacular. Good location on sunset, with a Good view depending on the floor and nice showers But with how I was treated I’ll never return again which is a shame because I spend a lot of money with these companies and come to these Luxury hotels/stays Very frequently. Great spot for a weekend brunch. Wonderful natural light streams in through the glass walls and ceiling. Vast views of the valley compliment the open design which makes it feel like a breezy spring day even in the winter.Menu was nice, but amenities were outdated. The pot for my tea was rusty, and my milk carafe had a bit of dried food on the inside. The staff corrected both when I pointed them put, but it doesnt seem like either of those should happen in the first place.Might do better with new/different management with an eye for detail.

The setup with the pool is highly disorganized and flat out misleading / unfair for hotel guests. There are maybe 8 day beds reserved for hotel guests on a first come first served basis and all the other beds are basically reserved for non-guests who call ahead and want to use the pool during the day. Leads to them basically kicking hotel guests off of the beds whenever non-hotel guests come in. Very few people actually staying at the hotel can benefit from the pool. The hotel is otherwise great but honestly they should not be advertising themselves as having a pool for hotel guests - they just don’t. Their pool is for anyone in LA, just like a bar or a club. If you are staying at the hotel you should just not expect to benefit from the pool - in which case there are better hotels that actually treat their hotel guests fairly.

Be aware that there is a massive construction project just next door to the hotel. We were woken up very early (5am) by it. This was not disclosed when we booked and was a surprise when we pulled up. Also the toilets are super noisy and the water was running on our constantly all night. If you are here to party and pass out maybe you will be able to sleep through all the noise. Finally was refunded for the night not stayed. It required jumping through some major hoops.

Its got that modern vibe with views of the city from the pool and restaurant areas. The hotel has finished it renovations which means that the paint smell is still there but undergoing the modern transformation makes it a hip place to stay and by the number of people smiling at the pool and around the lobby Im not the only person thinking this is a good place to stay.The WiFi is decent and not slow, the restaurant is above par, and I like its breakfast with arugula sald with my eggs.This is the hotel for us when we need to be near LA but not being directly in downtown LA.

Room was impeccable, modern and comfortable however the room wasn’t ready until 2 hours after check-in time. The staff doesn’t care about guest needs and the valet manager Emmanuel is extremely rude and condescending. Seems like there’s a disconnect between valet and the front desk because random guests can charge valet to any room without ensuring that their name is on a room. If you stay here make sure to check your “Folio” before you leave or you might get stuck paying fees/charges that aren’t supposed to be on the final bill.

Me and my friends were looking forward to this hotel stay when we arrived.But due to one of my friend’s emergency flight cancellation due to covid surge, we decided to call the hotel to see if we can stay at my friend’s room. We talked with a representative when calling the hotel, (later learned that this representative is in a call center hired by the hotel to take all calls) told us to let the person who booked the room call them and add my name to the reservation. Which he did successfully.But when we arrived at the hotel after 20hours of driving from Seattle, the hotel representative, Carl, denies us to stay and says it is the policy, despite our desperate attempt to explain to him that the person who booked the room has already added my name and I can call him right now. He raises his voice and says he can not talk to anyone on the phone. And meanwhile there is no direct line to reach hotel don’t desk from an outside number ( this has been proven by countless phone call attempts made by us and Expedia which all reached the call center but disconnected after 20minutes of waiting on line for Mondrian hotel front desk).After that, he charged a cancellation fee of $382.12 for the booking and we had to book a new room because we were too tired. Next morning, when my friend finally catches a later flight and arrived, we asked to see the manager and try to find out why this has happened. But the manager said that Carl ( the representative who denied us stay previous night) was his boss which he states that is following the complete hotel policy, and as will he. The situation became very tense and this manager had a big argument with my friend. After a long, rude, full of denial and blaming us conversation. He did not want to talk anymore and walked away.I want to ask anyone, how they will react in a situation like this, how is this possible in a hotel like this. And based on Mondrian’s response to my friend’s review, stating that “we do have policies in place and our representatives are well trained”. Our experience clearly indicates a severe lack in training and communication between hotel employees and outside which resulted in our extreme negative experience. We ask the hotel to refund the appropriate unethical charges, and a formal apology to all of us.

Pretty surprised by how high those ratings are. I stayed at different hotels at west Hollywood for work, but this hotel probably is the worst.I saw most of the review is about the pool and bar, I supposed they probably not staying in the hotel overnight?The bellhop doesnt even look at me when I walked in the hotel, but reception is kind.The hotel lobby and the pool probably are the only places can get sufficient light. The hallway and the room is very old and dark, and I have no idea why they put an empty chair and a tv screen which play nothing just flashing light right after you walk out from elevator. I don’t know 🤷‍♂️ is this a Halloween theme? The room has huge space but layout pretty wired and outdated. I stayed at lots of different hotel with different style, this one is seriously the worst, it’s exactly like what you will expect from a horror movie (white old curtain, dark green carpet at hallway ... etc).The bed is comfortable, AC is loud, you will also hear clearly people coming out from elevator, chatting their day inside your room.My room is facing the pool, I believe is not the hotel party but I could hear clearly loud music from next street played until 2am (Tuesday and Wednesday night), My other friend stayed different just across the street and he hear nothing.I wish I can change hotel but I already paid for couple nights.

Non hotel guest are treated much better when they visit the bar or restaurant. The best bit was when they removed the stools was sitting on to start preparing for a private party!! In addition the hotel does not have Apple Pay and no other solution was proposed from the concierge. Overall it was an unpleasant experience.

I stayed there with wife & 20-year old twin daughters over their 2015 spring break. We loved this hotel. The two rooms were not cheap but we thought well worth it after the front desk upgraded us for both rooms. We didnt know it was considered so upscale until we went to Conans show and revealed our stay during audience interaction. We loved the location and staff. Highly recommend. Right by Hard Rock Cafe. Plan on returning in 2016.

My friend and I stayed here for three nights last week and were very disappointed. I had to ask for my room to be recleaned after check in after spotting red stains on the bathroom wall. To their credit the room was immediately “deep cleaned” but it still wasn’t a very pleasant experience to have. The room and specially the bathroom were very dated with loose wallpaper and mold/crud around the shower door and tiles. One of the large tiles on the shower floor was loose which would trap water under it and spray up every time you stepped on it. By far the worst part of our stay was the non stop construction from 7am till well past 5pm which didn’t result in the most relaxing stay. Overall a very disappointing experience staying at the property and most likely for the last time.

Its no problem for one night, but two in a row is absolutely not okay. It was Easter Brunch, so the Ivory was understandably busy. Service was a little sluggish, but I chalk that up to the Brunch Rush. We didnt mind, since we had no place to be. The ambience was fun and vibrant. The view is stunning. Food was good. The menu had moments of brilliance, but its hard to have a memorable and unique brunch menu. Bottomless mimosas were enormous. If you had 3 glasses you probably had a whole bottle of champagne to yourself.

The Mondrian was amazing. We stayed for 7 days and 6 nights and barely had any problems. WeHo is so central to everything so day time activities were no problem. Everyone working there was extremely nice and accommodating. The rooms are big and full of natural light. The bathrooms are also very big. The beds are extremely comfortable and the views are amazing. The only negative thing I have to say is that we were put in a wheelchair accessible room therefore there was no door on the shower and water would leak all over the floor. But even with that we still adored our stay. Although we never got a chance to go in the pool (due to many other things to do in LA as well as the pool being a popular and busy place to hangout) we went down a lot to get drinks and meals and let me tell you it is more stunning than it looks in pictures if that is even possible. The only downside is that it is so popular that there are exclusive parties almost every night at the pool/sky bar. Great for people watching and celeb spotting but also can be kind of loud at night. The Mondrian being located on Sunset was great as there were many cute shops and places to eat within walking distance. Mondrian is also very close to Beverly Hills which is also a plus. Cannot say enough wonderful things about the Mondrian. Cannot wait to go back soon!

They would never get another dime from me.The rooms, pool and lobby are nice. The front desk was welcoming upon check in. Thats where it ends.The outside of the hotel looks pretty basic. The outside vibe gives Raddison. You wouldnt know that it is upscale until you go inside. Whereas with the Andaz or Pendry (upscale hotels nearby), you can tell it is upscale right away. I called several hours before my check in and asked for help from the concierge. They said they didn’t have one…. I should have known then.They put a hold of $200/ day on your credit/debit card for incidentals upon check in. Would have been nice to know that prior to making the reservation (I had to call to make the reservation Bc the website reservation kept displaying an error message).Pay attention to the $26 plus tax guest amenity fee ($30 total). Notice the $10 credit/day for snacks (located at a small cooler next to the front desk). This credit is included in the guest fee that you pay, it is not a credit. And the credit does not roll over. If you dont pick up the $10 in snacks that you paid for on one day, you lose it. How do you lose something that you paid for?! When I discussed this with 3 people at the front desk, I asked them all if I paid for the $10 credit/ day and they all confirmed that I did. And none of them could clearly justify how what I paid for expired. They just kept repeating the hotel policy, sounding and looking crazy. The snacks are actual items and Not the same as the use of WiFi, the gym, etc.Its the principle. Stop trying to get over on people. Stop telling people that something is complimentary when the customer is actually paying for it. We gift it to you, this is a blatant lie. Stop playing with peoples money.

We were as equally dismayed with our experience, have stayed here before. Checked in (after traveling all night), got to our room on the second floor, all afternoon and late evening construction (drilling/jackhammering) directly above us (renos). We were never told this was the situation ahead of time nor at check-in. We had to request a room change, which was done the next day, as they said construction would continue all weekend. Reception was extremely rude over the phone through this, she wouldnt even give her first name when asked, after I introduced myself over the phone. House keeping made the bed with garbage left in it one day! Mini bar was never fully stocked. Wait staff, and food at the restaurant was divine though, five bright stars to them. The hotel staff could take some pointers.

If I had a good time here it was because I made it a good time. Very high end in price but not worth the price you end up paying in the end it was our first time staying in LA and we wanted to pay high end prices for the best experience we could get .. we booked our rooms months in advanced we asked for 2 room next to each other shared by a balcony and the employee we spoke to said that they could reserve that for us no problem. when we arrived the rooms were not available and we were told that that wasnt possible for them to do. our rooms were on the same floor but around the corner from each other it wasnt so bad but the rooms we booked were nice but advertised incorrectly ... To top it all off the fine print fees that they dont tell you about until after you booked the room and fly out came out to about 950 dollars extra on top of the amount we payed for the rooms some of that includes 44 a night for parking.we wanted to use the outside pool but it turns out that they had a company throwing an event so it was blocked off. So I gave it 2 stars because the rooms looked nice and it had nice a nice viewComplimentary- 2 Expresso cups, towels and rags -_-

The Mondrain was by far one of the worst experiences that I have had in a hotel of this standard.We booked in to stay at this hotel a few months ago on a recommendation because of its pool and restaurant. At check in the hotel produced us with a letter to say that the pool area would be close for 5 days which was our entire stay, to say this was distressing news was an understatement, we were offered the use of a neighbouring hotels pool and an apology. What was most frustrating was that prior to our trip we were not provided with any information of the pool closure nor given the option of making an informed decision. Had we of been given the option we would of chosen another hotel at half the price with a fully working pool. After much complaining i was finally offered $200 back which didnt even cover one nights stay and the promise of some drinks tokens that never materialised.The room looked nothing like pictures and we were given a room that overlooked a building site, we could hear construction from early in the morning which meant we could lay in on our vacation. The cool looking TV only worked on a few stations and the maids barley made our beds and replaced the towels.All in all this hotel is completly overrated and not worth the money. The pool experience ruined our trip to LA. This hotel does not look like it does in pictures and the front office staff are not equipped to deal with basic requests without having to call in the manager.

Stopped in for drinks at the pool side bar and the atmosphere was awesome. The bartender was friendly and offered a wide variety of options. This is a great place to stop at if youre looking for a laid back atmosphere to have a good drink with good friends.

Drove in had to pull up into what looked like dirty alley way. Arrived at 2:40 - 20 minutes before checkin. I see lobby under construction. (Was not advised of this prior - they advertise newly remodeled). I hear very loud thumping music coming from outdoor area as i walk up to the small check in area. The lady tells me my room is almost ready. I asked if i was going to hear that music til closing time in my room on 2nd story facing pool. She says yes. And does not offer option. I told her that won’t work for me and asked for a quieter room. She begrudgingly says she’ll give me a room on 10th floor but may be a little longer wait. I agreed with that. Then goes on to say there is additional $23 a night fee on top of the $300 i already paid (this wasn’t disclosed). Another $44 per night for car and if i wanted coffee, gym use or WiFi that would be another $25 a night. Then she said there was a $200 a night!!!! Incidental charge (hold) on my card that would be credited. So after paying $300 a night for room and tax I had to pay $200 a night more. I paid it as now I was here Went out to my car where my husband waited with our stuff and found 5 valet guys surrounding my vehicle one with a clipboard inspecting my car. I respectfully asked them to give me a minute to organize my personal items as we had just driven several hours to arrive. 2 left. 3 stayed. I again asked them to give me space (my doors had been opened and trunk to pull stuff out). They ignored my request - I had to ask 4 times before they left for a few minutes. I finished getting organized. They pulled and tagged my bags. I went to the restaurant bar area next to the noisy pool and ordered one drink to wait. I was looking over the gate at the noisy pool area. (Very loud music) and two bouncer guys look ready to stop me from going in. Not a nice greeting. I decided I would not be back to the pool. So much for a relaxing vacation I had splurged for my husbands Father’s Day gift. At 3:40 I went to ask the status. A guy at desk called maid service who said almost done. 5-10 minutes. At 3:55 I went back a little more frustrated and expressed my concern over this long wait. The lady at front desk “i told you there would be a wait. Would you like the room on 2nd floor instead”. No empathy. No apology. Just felt it was a favor to be in a quiet room. I told her I would never have thought a 1.5 hour wait but she just kept defending it with no understanding at all. I asked if I could speak to manager. She said she was manager. But when I went to concierge desk after this discussion found the manager Christal sitting next to him. ( He has watched all of this and was very empathetic and helpful). Christal listened but offered no amenities to offset my frustration. I said i was told i use the gym when i reserved and no one mentioned a fee. She agreed to let me do this. I was finally handed my key at 4:10 pm. No one walked me to the room and showed us anything. I CloudKit even figure out where elevators were for a bit as they are hard to find the first time. The worst experience ever on service. The room is nicely decorated. And yes it was quiet on the 10th floor.

This place is not family friendly.Beware if bringing kid, as the hotel wants your business and money, having kids means you cant use the facilities the hotel offers. A simple conclusion is if you are planning on coming with a family and kids under 21 years old... Dont.This place wants to be a Hotel and Night Club... It cant be both, either become a great Night Club and remain a bad hotel, or become a great Hotel and drop the Night Club. What you have today doesnt work. I got offered drug in the lift from a guest... Simply state over 21 year olds only on the premises, and be honest about what the place is about.

Poor services, poor facilities, poor customer service. Today they’ve finished the towels (never experienced something like that) so people were unable to use the pool (yes, you read it right).... so we decide to go to the bar but we couldn’t charge on the room because our room number was not coming up in the system (1 hr of drama). Wifi for a fee, mandatory valet parking for $45, overnight stay not cheaper either but service and facilities not worth a penny! Avoid this place if you can.
