Several years ago I had a ridiculous computer problem, and as a teacher for 35 years, I knew I needed someone to teach me, not just fix it. I came to the right place. Mom fixed, updated and taught me some basic and elemental practices. I still use them, and they still are as patient and senior friendly as ever. Apple ought to buy them and them to their Applecare team, cause honestly, their better. Thanks Mom!

Clean office, easy appointments which I can get to right on their Google Page (theres a link) and conscious of covid by having appointments and not standing around (senior here). We often do a Zoom screen share for my tech stuff with Elijah but this time needed to come and bring my laptop because I tried to update my sorta new HP Windows 11 Surface Pro and it froze up. Uhh. Saves me again. New update installed, pheI met the Moms Computer Team at the Tech Classes for Adult Learners they give at the LGBT Center. And they support Santa Monica High School, Go Samo!!! ps. Sunday, computer broken. Called Moms, they managed to get a replacement, made a backup, set up my new Macbook, came back a few times. They were patient, knowledgable understood how bad it feels when you break your computer on a day off, with a full week of work ahead. Ive been going to Tech Class for Seniors for quite awhile. Moms Computer has been giving those classes for quite awhile, I learn a lot & it keeps me out of tech trouble. Recently I tried to setup my new Android but in the process lost the password and forgot what account I used. Got myself locked out of the phone. I tried everything, except bring it to class, which I did and just like that they got my new phone working, found the account, brought all my old texts and apps back and reset the password. Pheww. Its nice when your teachers know what their doing!

Many years later and we still love Mom’s!! Problem solved.My busy Real Estate office found Moms Computer 5 years ago. They seemed lovely, but I had some business needs (not retired). After two other online tech companies failed us (and overcharged) I called Moms. They were perfect, resolved all my issues and worked with each staff member. They do this all with real patience. I work in the entertainment business. OK, more specifically: I promote heritage, established music artists to radio and media, some of the biggest household names in music and rock & roll. I book interviews, promote tracks to radio, share the news on social media and more, but enough about me.I worked for the biggest major record company on the planet from 2000-2013, they have IT and tech folks doing everything for you (technically speaking for your desktop, laptop, phone etc.) when youre on the payroll. Sweet, right?When I was downsized in 2013, I bought a new Mac and dragged it along with me for a decade or more. It finally starting moving more slowly, taking longer to warm up, to search, log on, everything.My girlfriend of 15 wonderful years (shes also a music promotion specialist, in fact way better than I am) found Elijah Dittersdorf and Moms Computer through a referral online -- and he jumped through all kinds of crazy hoops of fire to get her new laptop up to speed -- the main issue being transferring her FileMaker Pro and updating her files into the new era, to be workable, quick and easy to access.Was I glad she went first with the new laptop scenario and Elijah -- by the time I was on board to get a new laptop, Elijah had figured out all the above and quickly applied it to my scenario with a new laptop -- that he helped me purchase, set-up and tweak to perfection.Moms computer is the BEST name for a business -- hell, we are ALL overwhelmed by how fast technology is moving today and often kicking us around and intimidating us to keep up and stay current. Called so many numbers I found on Google for some issues with my new Windows 11 Computer. In my case theres nothing wrong, wife & I needed some education. We want to get this right, save files correctly, Zoom the grandkids, and feel comfortable that there is a modern working computer for daily use, as we get even older! HP Support was ok, but more geared to a problem. And yes, we had Apple for years & AppleCare will only teach Apple. I still need to install and work with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, etc. And I was able to get a 27 touchscreen with 16gb of memory and 1 Tb of storage for 1/3 of the cost of the Apple. I contacted Moms before the purchase, they work with Apple and Windows, so I knew what to expect, how they could help us get our documents & all the pictures of the kids and grandkids on the new one. As well as smart daily usage and how to avoid scams, etc. Not to pricey, does cost, but what a relief to call and not get a robot and then have to re-explain your whole situation. Heres the kicker, the tech, also chatted with my oldest daughter who has mostly helped us and is just too busy these days. She talked to Ray about what we do and need. Was so nice and helpful to have Rebecca in the loop. And now were set for a while, have a comfy place to call for issues or and if something happens to me, my wife has someone to call for the computer. Now I can get back to what I really like to do here in my retirement, take a nap!

Im retired and no longer have an IT department and it feels like every scammer in the world has figured that out! Ive taken cutesy classes, learned nothing. I dont care about tik tok or facebook. I need to safely interact with my healthcare and legal matters. Moms Classes addresses these issues in a sober and secure manner. They also are a real tech shop, so I can call or email anytime. Moms is different, theyre actually run by adults that are techs, not marketers. They also have great follow up options. Elija was an absolute savior. Not only did he respond to a panicked text at 6:30am, but he helped me recover all the data on my daughter’s phone. Well, I took the bait and was scammed. Let them on my computer, the whole deal..uhh. Didnt send any money, my friend said to call Moms. Mom had me shut down and helped me work through it. The scammers were malicious, they made it that I couldnt get on the internet. But Mom knew what to . Something about the proxy server being changed...anyway all better, Im not me just yet... I’m a professional writer who has written for shows as varied as Maude, Rhoda, Three’s Company, Cosby and Coach. I’m at my computer all the time. Did my research and Moms is the best. In the midst of a Pandemic, with my computer of 7 years finally succumbing to old age. Backing up setting up a new one is beyond my pale and my interest. I just want to use the thing. After a couple of bad calls, next thing you know this kind soul meets me on the porch. Purchases, sets up, transfers and returns all in a few days. Mom’s Computer is by far in a league of its own when it comes to IT help, education, and in the way they envision the true definition of the word service. Aside from having highly talented, seasoned, and capable professionals, the team’s true calling is their unique aptitude to connect with their clients on a personal level. This ability comes from their deep compassion in combination with humility and the honest will to serve others who are in need. My folks are in their late seventies now and unfortunately, the world becomes extremely complex for them. They really try to understand how to operate a computer as well as their cell phone, but they just can’t keep up. The constant sea of change, upgrades, new interfaces, viruses, privacy issues, and many other factors make them go into despair. I kept getting multiple phone calls on daily basis asking me how to questions regarding their computer, logins, password, Iphone, etc… No matter how much patience I have, it just became unbearable. I didn’t know what to do, and then Elijah from Mom’s Computer came to the rescue. As soon as they met with him, my mom and dad cannot stop raving about him. They can’t wait for his next visit. How many IT folks do you guys know who are capable of creating these lasting relationships beyond the technical aspect of the job?In summary, I think the sky is the limit for these guys. Elijah was great. My old MacBook Pro 2011 died on me last Friday. After almost 10 years. I wasn’t sure if it was worth fixing since I had all ready purchased a newer one. I figured it would be better to retrieve the data and just sent my goodbyes to the old MacBook Pro. I may use it for a project but that remains to be seen. Anyway Elijah came on Friday picked it up at my apartment and brought it back today Wednesday. He even gave me a discount on the External hard drive. All is well. 4 years after my original review had a new problem (Im now 90) and Israel Glass picked up the phone, came by again and fixed it. He didnt even want to charge me, and this is 4 years later (I forced him to take it). Original review 2019; Called on a Sunday, panicked. He said that I was correct in all my thoughts, and that together we can make this computer work. A couple of hours later I was back on track. some malware was removed and we updated to Office 365 from Word 2004!! Im an adult learner and proud of it!!

In the time i would normally be holding for a telephone tech (from apple or one of the software companies whose product i have downloaded on my imac) to address an issue -- moms computer not only understood and addressed a range of issues, but cleared them all up 100 times better and faster than i could imagine and set me up for a streamlined imac experience. from re-figuring out my back-up system and clearing out literally hundreds of bytes of non essential junk to simply reorganizing this and that, etc. im almost in shock at the time and agony they just saved me. i feel like they are my computer angels.... jg
