MMI managed our HOA for nearly 5 years. The service was dismal or non-existent at best. They raised the dues this year by 50% yet still provided horrible service. When confronted by various homeowners for lack of transparency in the cost of the services provided, MMI abruptly quit. Yes, thst’s right MMI quit! No explanation, just thanking the homeowners for “allowing them to serve” but it was time to move on.DON’T USE MMI! SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES.

This is the worst HOA Ive been worked with. I want to give a ZERO if its an option.The Verano property manager Taylor, and the service person are very rude. I have several plumbing services requests recently and they never helped to coordinate, instead, they caused us as home owner huge repair fee and still being very rude through communication.1. The HOA asked home owner to notify affected units 48-hour prior to water off due to plumbing service, however, we found we are the only owner did so. As during our water off request, we found there were other units placed the same request on the same day, which completely caused much longer service hour of my professional repair person, and our tenants never received such notice from other units.2. During the service day, the person who is supposed to turn off water got missing, property manager missing, no way to find them, our professional repair person was waiting, to the point that he told he will never want to do any service to Verona due to such rude service from HOA.3. When we requested water off, the HOA person didnt turn off the water completely, which wasted us a lot of time and money, and when I communicated to the property manager, she doesnt care at all, and put a lot of rude words to us, as home owner.4. When they requested home owner to do fix, they ask for immediate action, however, when we asked for more detailed info so that we can help to fix, the property manager, Taylor, was extremely rude and mean, kept interrupting my talk, or she was not listen as I heard she was doing something else over the phone, and she never answered my question, only talked one thing she wanted to say again and again.This is the worst HOA Ive been worked with. I want to give a ZERO if its an option.

I’ve had the pleasure of living in a wonderful community that MMI has managed for many years, and I’ve been very happy with all of my interactions with them. Their team always provides quick, professional and knowledgeable service, and they care about their homeowners both as clients and individuals. I’ve been so impressed with their customer service, and having been in commercial property management for over 30 years, I understand how challenging it is to balance meeting the needs of residents while also adhering to the parameters of the CC&R’s. I’d highly recommend MMI and their team to any HOA interested in high quality property management services.

If you are a homeowner of Verano, one of the complexes managed by MMI, youll more than likely go through hell with them when your property is damaged due to the fault of the HOA. They try their best to dodge their responsibilities. They do minimum work, just want to close the case ASAP. Even with solid evidence of damage they still deny the responsibility and claim its not impacted. their vendor selection processes also lack of transparency.

This company is awesome! Our association website is always up to date and extremely helpful. Everyone in the office is kind and takes extra time to ensure my questions are answered completely. I so appreciate that the community always looks beautiful and clean. It is a pleasure to live in our HOA managed by MMI.

In working with MMI over the past several years I have found them to be responsive, professional and very detail oriented. Its not often you come across a company that is so knowledgeable and delivers such high levels of service. If youre an HOA, I highly recommend working with MMI..

This HOA company is forcing us to spend $2000 on windows for our condos. Definitely not a neccessity but just a way for this stupid company to make more money and bully all the residents.

Irresponsible use of public funds. Newsletters sent for (collectively) hundreds of dollars of postage to hundreds of residences at La Jolla renaissance of five communities a couple of times a year. This is for a one page notice on average of topics (most recently) only about pinecones, dog care including facts about dog whiskers, and ducks in the pond and their species. Every year they raise the fees 20% for such stripe. Doesn’t this make sense.

I had to contact MMI for help on a number of occasions and it amazes me how promptly Liz gets back with a personalized response that helps take care of the problem. Excellent service provided by Liz. Well Done!!!

Terrible HOA management! You will be lucky to get in touch with anyone when you call, and if you do they are no help. They keep billing me for something that has been paid for months.
