First time patient. Place was super easy to find and get to. Everyone was extremely nice! Explained everything and made my eye exam and entire process fun. Was able to use my insurance and get new lenses put into the frames I already had. Entire appointment was quick, painless, easy and I definitely would recommend!

Excellent second visit!I am a kind of person oriented to details and I have hard time to make up my mind especially when the store have a large selection of frames. They also search on internet the frame i wear now, they found it, ordered it will not pay for in until I am satisfied.They are absolutely wonderful!I strongly recommend this office of Mission Viejo Optometric Center.

Fantastic experience and I rarely say that about going to a doctors office but Dr.Walsh is very nice and thorough and I can tell she truly cares about my eyes being their best. The staff is very nice and made it easy and affordable to get the contacts I needed and new pair I’d glasses I’ve need for a decade. There are enough tough things in life- thanks for making this all so easy! ( Btw, noticed this place is also very kid friendly when I was chatting with some kids while looking at frames!)

I found Mission Viejo Optometric Center after my insurance switched to VSP. I’ve been here for two years in a row and each time I’ve been impressed. The new office is lovely, and everyone who helped me including Dr Walsh was kind and professional. They have top of the line equipment; I still can’t get over seeing pictures of my eyeball. 20/10 would recommend.

I received prompt, thorough treatment from Dr. Amanda Walsh. I was given the opportunity several times to ask questions. I received additional friendly help before the appointment from Lara regarding benefits questions. In addition Lara provided a thorough pre-doctor eye exam. After the appointment I received thorough follow-up from Jenny. All three ladies were very friendly in addition to the other two offices staff members: Sao and Michael.

I was looking for eye glass repair and chose Mission Viejo Optometric Center. I had bent my Ray-Ban eye glass frames and needed them fixed quickly. I was so impressed by the young woman who greeted me and actually took care of the repair immediately. Her name was Chell. Professional, courteous and explained what I could expect. It was done in very short order and it gave me time to look around the shop. What a great place and I know that I’ll be going there for all of my optometry needs.

I like their options. My glasses arrived way before the 2 week that was quoted. The office was very understanding and helpful in responding back to text messages when I needed new lenses. Ive been going to the Mission Viejo Optometric since I was a kid and the transition since Sandy has been seamless and my visits get better every time. Everyone there, along with Dr. Walsh bring a very knowledgable and professional approach while providing the best care starting from the first Hello once you walk through the door. This center has advanced technology and tests that help Dr. Walsh and the office associates make informed and proactive approaches to treatment and solutions. Lara helped with my tests today and she was so gentle with each procedure. I was also surprised that she knows so much about opthamology and optometry without going to school for it! Dr. Walsh makes sure that no rock is left unturned to come to the best prescription and fit for you. With the help of the new testing she and Lara educated me, for the first time ever, about the state of my eyelid glands and how it contributes to eye dryness. Jenny then took care of me when selecting new frames and loved each look she pulled. I feel that Jenny, Sao and Lara and with the other associates actively listen to and understand your concerns on top of facilitating a safe and supportive shopping experience. It feels like youre with friends who have your best interest in mind and theyre not afraid to tell you when a pair of glasses are unflattering. After selecting your glasses they are also so so helpful when breaking down numbers to get the best financial solution and approach together. They will have you leaving the shop feeling confident with your choice in eyewear and in higher spirits! Not to mention the convenience of texting! As a busy person, its the little things like this I greatly appreciate. Location aside, the people here are the reason why Ive only gone and will continue to go to Mission Viejo Optometric Center.

Great service, nice staff. Dr. Lau discovered large tears in my right retina, sent me to surgery same day, potentially saving my eyesight. Shes my hero! That was 2022(?). Dr. Lau has since moved away.Dr. Walsh now heads up that office. She too is fantastic at her job. Last Friday (2024 April 26), she found a tear in my left retina, immediately sent me off to the same surgeon, who repaired it, thus saving my eyesight. I cant say enough about this office and these fine people, who truly care.

I love this place! By far the best and most patient staff. I had debris in my left eye but they ensured that even if I had discomfort after picking up my glasses, their main goal was to ensure I could see perfectly, even if it meant me having to come back and them changing out my lenses for adjustments. Yesterday I had my routine eye exam. Not really sure where to start with this review. The crew was amazing, professional and kind. They took their time in running all the tests and explained everything in details. After completing all the tests, Dr. Walsh took her time with me to address all the concerns, prescribe the best lenses for my glasses and contacts. They by far the most professional optometry center I’ve ever dealt with. As a patient never been that happy. Simply if you have vision challenges. That’s the place you want to be to get your treatment.So glad that I found my optometry center.The most highly recommended vision center. If there was more then 5 stars I would have definitely gave it to the team.That’s the place you should go to if you want to walk out with a smile on your face. I had an optometrist who was dismissive about my eyes in La Jolla since 2019. More so since May of this year. Then he told me I had a slight trace of cataracts which scared me at age 47. Went to my ophthalmologist who was dismissive of MORE of my blurred vision caused by lack of sleep due to work. Had a 3rd concussion that caused some blurred vision. But lack of sleep caused more.My doctor at this office, she listened to my every detailed starting from 2018 to present. It is our duty and responsibility to tell our doctors the truth and detailed information so that our doctors can help us and figure everything out. Regardless of what specialty our doctors are. It is very vital could be life saving especially eye saving.Turns out dont have slight trace of cataracts. But eith the 3rd concussion and lack of sleep trauma has caused blurred vision. Only when I read or write whether on paper or phone or reading ingredients. I am using my glasses constantly every day. And I cannot clip someones nails or toes without using my glasses, more of a blur.This doctor and office are amazing people. honest and trusting. I thank God for them. She listens and tells te truth never sugar coats anything. I appreciate this office all together.

My recent visit to Mission Viejo Optometric Center was one to remember! I have been wearing glasses for nearly 20 years, so I know a thing or 2 about finding a good optometrist. Dr. Lau was so knowledgeable, sweet and personable. We connected instantly and she made me feel valued. She explained, in detail, the reasons why I was having the issues I was having, updated my prescription, and got to know me personally. No one has really taken the time to do that. I would absolutely recommend her and her team. And then came time for finding the right pair of glasses. Melody was exceptional! She helped me for nearly an hour, finally landing a beautiful pair that fit my face and personality. We made an appointment online and did not have to wait at all when we arrived. I enjoyed having various safety measures in place for Covid-19 as well as safe eye exams. Dr. Walsh was very pleasant and informative with regards to my vision. Perhaps the most fun part of the experience was picking out new frames with the Optician who made the choice clear. The staff here is always very friendly and helpful, both on the phone and in person. They dont rush you through the exam, but also stay on time so that there is hardly any waiting. They are happy to answer questions and are totally upfront with pricing and insurance questions. Dr. Lau is very down to earth and explains everything the exam results show. Due to a series of events at work, I was late by a while in getting to my appointment. Of course, I was planning on re-scheduling since I was so behind my time, but somehow, they were still able to give me my full appointment. (Im not saying to be 15-20 minutes late to an appointment there.) Had a pair of glasses I had accidentally broke call the office for warranty on them the sad part was the lens had the warranty not the frame but they took the time to help me got my new glasses in about a week. Dr Lau was thorough in her exam & listened & guided very well & gently. The staff there were very nice and made the process quick and easy. This was my initial eye exam at MV Optometric Center. I picked it based on 5-star reviews and it’s convenient location. Dr. Lau is calm and a good communicator. Well laid out office and friendly staff. Melody helped my tween daughter pick out her first pair of glasses. She also did great finding me a new pair based on my current collection and facial structure. I didn’t like the requirement to have a retinal image that costs an additional $35 - this was optional with my previous optometrist. I’d rather have my eyes dilated, especially since after the fact the doctor said I needed it anyway.

It has been maybe over 30 years since I last got an eye exam. I figured since Im in my 40s now, I should probably get them checked and thank goodness my eyes are still a healthy 20/20. I do have a slight stigmatism in my left eye, and since I work at my computer 10+ hours a day, I decided to get some glasses for digital wear.This center practices COVID procedures very well. I made an appointment by phone and before entering the building, you need to call or text first. Once you walk through the front door, you need to use hand sanitizer and then they check your temperature using an infrared device on your wrist.Every staff person I spoke with was kind and made me feel safe. Overall, my experience from start to finish was excellent and I highly recommend this center. :)
