This was my annual check up and my second appointment with doctor Donovan. The whole experience was great! The doctors assistant was excellent and carried out the initial exam with care and professionalism. Doctor Donavon spent considerable time with me and answered all my questions thoroughly. I feel fortunate having him as my physician.

I love this office. I’m always treated with courtesy and respect. No matter who I see it is a pleasant experience! Today while my son and I were getting new glasses the optometrist helping us told us that she could get new lenses for my sons baseball glasses. Saving me hundreds of dollars. A small conversation about sport changed my day She and her coworker were absolutely friendly and kind. I’m so thankful for this office. Please don’t change what you are doing! I also love the ability to schedule online!

I recently had my annual eye exam at the Rancho Mirage Milauskas office. The exam when smoothly but the glasses that were made were off slightly. The staff at the office went above and beyond to see that my new glasses were corrected to my satisfaction. Amazing people. I will be a customer for years to come!

2. They said they were going to dilate my eyes and I asked them if I would be okay to drive home and she told me yes they would be a little sensitive to the light. It was the worst drive home that Ive ever had. It is not a good thing to have a patient driving after their eyes have been dilated. In the past eye doctors would tell you to have someone drive you home. Very disappointed in this matter.2. The doctor said she would give me the prescription for glasses if I wanted it. I said yes I would like to have it. When I was at the front desk she told me she needed to collect $65.00 as she couldnt Bill insurance and when I asked her what the $65.00 that they wanted me to pay was for she told me for my presentation. I told her they didnt tell me it was going to cost out of my pocket. I believe this is wrong as I paid a copay and insurance is paying for my eye exam. That is part of my eye record and I should not be charged for it.This is my 2nd time with Milauskas Eye Center and Im not happy with the misinformation about dilation and charge for my eye glass prescription.

I had an emergency for severe dry eyes. I got in the same day. The whole staff is so nice and professional. The assistant was so professional and sweet to me. She knew I was in pain. I thought she was the doctor. When Dr. Shader came in, he was very understanding. My appointment went very well. I will continue my regular eye appointments here.

I have had great experiences at Milauskas Eye Institute. The staff is very attentive, from check-in until I check-out to leave.I see Dr. Emberland, and its very easy to discuss my eye health with him. He listens to my questions and concerns and gives me clear answers that give me a comfortable feeling.I did not need new glasses at this time, so I cant provide feedback on that part of the office. However, two years ago, when I did get new glasses, I had a good experience.I recommend Milauskas Eye Institute and Dr. Emberland to anyone looking for a first-class visit for eye care.

If it were not for my relationship with Dr Ketover I would go elsewhere for my eye care. He and the tech that saw me before Dr K came into the room were outstanding and very professional and nice. The rest of the experience of calling to get an appointment ( put on hold forever) and checking in upon arrival (having to do it all via computer screen) is very cold and impersonal. When Dr K retires I will go elsewhere. I don’t recall seeing any smiling employees other than Dr K and the tech. Does not appear to be a happy place to work.

I had been to two ophthalmologists in the Palm Springs area and had not felt comfortable about entrusting my vision to them. Dr. Ketover had been recommended to me, and upon my first visit I felt comfortable and confident that this was the place and the doctor for me, I trusted them. From the initial screening to the post-op check-up, staff was helpful, thoughtful, caring. I liked that there was no overt arrogance, just calm confidence. Professionalism the way it used to be.

Today was my first visit to Milauskas Eye Institute since I moved to Rancho Mirage from Northern California. I had not seen an Optometrist since April of 2023 so I was overdue for an eye examination and their location is close to where I live now. Dr. Tornatore was great and explained everything to me about what was happening to my eyesight. I also picked out new frames for sunglasses as well as reading glasses. Dr. Abraham had been recommended to me by my optometrist. The laser treatment was performed and the doctor did a great job explaining my situation to me. If I need to have the glaucoma checked I would definitely insist on seeing Dr. Abraham.

On time. Dr. Ketover and team listened to my questions and concerns and addressed each calmly and clearly. And the staff from reception desk to nurses/assistants were all also kind calm, processional and friendly. Every visit is like that. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. I took my 89 year mother there for her eye exam and macular degeneration follow up after moving here from Florida. She feels the same with her doc there 👍🏽

I had an appointment at 7:40 AM.I had arrived 15 minutes early especially since I knew this was a first appointment. They were not ready until exactly 7:40 to let me in. This made me automatically late for my appointment. Through no fault of mine. And the technician was not ready until 8 anyway. The sign on door said they open at 8 as did after hours phone service. The fact I did not check in until 5 minutes after my appointment was repeatedly pointed out to me.I asked why if I had a 7:40 appointment I was not taken in until 8.Technician told me I was late, and it had only been 10 minutes. But this was first appointment of their day. One would think, as I did that they would want first appointment to be on time. And that they would open the doors 15 minutes before first appointment.I can and often have accepted seeing Drs later than time scheduled. This though-first appointment early in the day was not right.

The administrative personnel were wonderful five stars for them four stars for the doctor although he did a very good job he said something that was a little bit disturbing. He looked at my eyeglasses and he said “oh aggressive” I just didn’t think that was quite the right response initially. Otherwise, he did a very good job.

Cataract surgery was successful and in 20 hours the vision in the corrected eye is already greatly improved with improvement expected as healing continues. I can’t say enough with how please and grateful I am with Dr. Abrahams excellent surgical skills.The staff has been courteous and efficient.

DR T. Is excellent. Very dedicated and thorough. Letty the optometrist is awesome and helped me pick the best frames and lens. My family approved.I strongly suggest that if you use the automated scheduling, contact the officeIt didnt schedule the exam. It doesnt get good reviews. They entered the exam manually.The staff get 5 stars. Their scheduling site ONE star. I would have missed my exam.

My daughter’s appt was at 2:30pm and her entire visit took one hour. Front desk associates were friendly as well as the doctor. My son’s appt was at 3:30pm. We were not seen by the doctor until ONE HOUR later. I’m sorry but that’s ridiculous!! I had two appts set for two children. We arrived at 2:28pm and didn’t leave the Rancho Mirage office until well past 4:45pm😳. Uncalled for. I’m not sure why this place sets up so many appts if it’s only one doctor taking in new patients. I can say this, I don’t think I’ll be returning. I’d rather take my kids to the Costco spot instead. I’ve done a walk in before there and was in and out within 30 mins.

First off, Dr Yoh is awesome. However, the check in process needs help. I’m a new patient so I approached the front desk to check in to be told to use the kiosk. I attempted to use the kiosk but was kicked out of the system because I was as 35 minutes early. 8 minutes later, a front desk staff member told me that I tried to check in too early and to use the kiosk again. 10 minutes later, the same person approached me with some paperwork to complete. It just seems a little backwards that they are eager to push you to use the kiosk instead of taking the time to figure out what each person needs. Why have front desk staff if everyone is to use the kiosk? Proper signage to direct the patients to use the kiosk would go a long way and minimize the confusion (especially for the new patients).

Im never disappointed when I go to the Rancho Mirage office! I went to the one in Palm Desert off Cook St. And they got my prescription wrong. So I specifically Chose to go to the RM office because I didnt want to be seen by the same Dr that saw me previously. This time around I saw Dr. Emberland, and he was great!! He was very thorough w my exam. AND! He got my prescription right! Ty Dr. Emberland for taking your time to thoroughly exam my eyes! I appreciate it very much! 🙏🏼

Kind of worried. I met with Dr he said my eye blurriness could be due to high sugar levels. So then after exam he takes me to optometrist to look at glasses and he gave her someone elses paperwork. She gave me prescription but it was for someone else? So now Im wondering did he even know who I was? Did he input my info on someone elses chart? Did my eyesight really change that much? He never came out to talk with me after this. The girl just went to him and came back with same prescription but with my name? Sure hope its correct because I ordered glasses based off this prescription. Ugh.

I had horrible Uveitis and a random eyelid stye and the office were able to schedule me in.Dr. Tornatore is always very attentive to my current needs and I feel provides necessary direction and instructions to help my needs. I had already learned the professional reputations of the opthamologists are very good which is why I made an appointment. It was my initial visit to explore cornea lens replacement. Everything about the Rancho Mirage location worked well for my visit. Check in. Waiting area. Testing and other items before meeting the doctor. A very thorough and easy to understand meeting with the doctor. And then the meeting after with options for surgery. All taking place at a clean and nicely furnished facility. A very positive experience.

First they got prescription wrong, then they got the billing wrong. This caused me to not have correct lenses for 5 weeks and got my FSA card frozen due to incorrect billing. Place of business is very clean, wait wasnt long. But I found that the staff was very stressed and not so friendly. Felt like staff was a little confused and unorganized. My appointment was at 840 am and they called this other lady first, whos appointment was at 9 am. I have never had to pay $59 to get my prescription for eye exam my exam was done by a PA and totally wrong. I called and was told they would not help me because over 3 months ( it was 4 months). I had to pay for new glasses! I waited two hours to be seen by the doctor. The people that checked me in and did the refraction on my eyes were all lovely. When the doctor showed up, he spent about a minute and a half with me and walked out the door. I will not be returning to see this doctor. I Find it beyond belief that a person has to wait two hours for an appointment.

I am physician and have now been a patient at the La Quinta, Palm Desert and Rancho Mirage over the past week. The staff have been outstanding . The optical assistants Jaz, Jessica and Gloria were all caring and competent .Attention to cleanliness was evident in the careful wipe down of all medical equipment between patients . The front office phone staff were also obliging and very accommodating in finding an urgent appointment for me. Kudos to the young Dr Johnathon Shader who is early in what will be a bright and rewarding opthalmologic career . He is a caring, competent and conservative physician and I, a neurologist and daughter of an opthalmogist felt fortunate to be in his care . 5 ⭐️ all round to the Milauskas Eye Institute

Showed up for a 9am appointment, had to take time off work to do this. Because i had an appointment i was expecting to see a doctor straight away. I waited for a full hour before seeing anyone, the entire process took 90mins - 15min for the checkup.Whats the point of having an appointment if one has to wait an hour beforehand. Most people are retired and have plenty of time, some of us have to work and manage commitments.The nurses and doctor were great, would appreciate a bit more efficiency and a heads up when making appointments.

I hate the self check-in. It doesnt have the main insurance companies so you have to search, then when it doesnt have it, you scan your card. (Should scan it in first place or broaden the selections.) Even though you update your insurance every year, it still keeps your 4 year old insurance as the primary. I already updated it a month ago. Give the humans sitting nearby the job. Make it personable. You dont even receive a greeting when there arent any patients at the counter, as if you dont exist or matter. Then, time before last I was asking if I needed to do the self check-in and the girl didnt let me finish my sentence. She said, Yes. Check in. When I completed my sentence, she said, No. You dont need to. (I was just picking up my glasses.) I receive cold assistance and check-out at desk, every time. I am a polite and kind person. I am in customer service every day. They need training.

I would highly recommend the Rancho Mirage office to anyone.I love Dr Yoh! I was 1st sent to him because he was the only one in the valley who specializes in double vision. I woke up with a serious eye issue and needed an emergency appointment. I called Milauskas early in the morning and was fortunate enough to be assigned toDr.Tornatore, a doctor on their staff. Within a minute of walking into the exam room, he asked me one question about my health history and was able to diagnose the problem immediately. This was a problem I had been experiencing for two years, and it had gone undiagnosed by other doctors.I cannot recommend Dr. Tornatore highly enough. He is an excellent doctor in every respect.The staff at this location is also excellent, and the facility is exceptionally clean, and the surroundings are very pleasant. I highly recommend this office, and Dr. Tornatore.

From the second I called, everyone I spoke to was WONDERFUL! I had some issues with a referral and paperwork, etc but the girls in the office were very nice and patient. They did they absolute best to get me in the same day for my problem. At the office, everyone was very nice and professional. They have you check in on a small computer, which is nice and then you wait for them to call you. The girl who took me back was also very very nice and made me feel comfortable and wanted. The doctor, Dr Klair was so so nice and listened and asked me questions and just overall made me feel important l. I will absolutely be going back there. My prescription changed so I had new lenses put in my frames that I only wore about 6 to 10 times. Well when they put in the new lenses they damaged my frames where you can stick your finger nail between the frame parts. We sent them back and when they came back the said that is the way their made. Not so they were not like that before. I spoke to the manager and it was just oh well frames are out of warranty. This is not the first problem I had with them Years back it was the exam they had to do twice with two different prescriptions so I didnt get new glasses at that time I didnt know what prescription was the correct one. They will never get a third chance. I filed a complaint with Kaiser I hope they take them off their list of referrals.

I have been going here for years but it has gotten more and more impersonal: a check-in procedure that is over the top (scan your DL, scan your insurance card, etc.) even after many years of going. Most doctors just ask has anything changed? Also, they cant seem to keep the optometrists. For the past 2 years we had a kind women. This year a new man that rushed us in and out. Not sure I will be going back.

I had my eye measurements done prior to my cataract surgery on 8/11. I guess the doctor has to read the results to determine if I’m a good candidate, which he had already said I was during my exam. So, we already made plans to take off work. Also, I couldn’t pay up front or get my prescriptions bc that person was on vacation. I like to get all things done ahead of times so there are no issues. The second visit to the office in Rancho Mirage was excellent. They have the best customer service. The girls were very organized and help help.
