I just feel a little bit ripped off after this childs plate that I got for $13.50 excuse me $13.35 It tastes all right but I literally could have gotten twice as much for like $4 less a taco truck. Hell I could have got more food across the street at Carls Jr probably would taste better too. I absolutely cannot recommend Miguels to anybody sorry Miguel.theres nothing complementary on this plate. A smaller portion for a smaller price? Wow. Im just going to have to let this one go. You guys got me. Once. Itll never happen again

It has been 15 yrs when we had dinner at this restaurant ... It was disappointing.. taste of sauce ..Our friends recently went there for breakfast.So, after Dr appt, we went for breakfast.First, we were greeted by a nice Gentleman .. with a nice smile, friendly, personable n attentive.He gave us fresh chips n delicious salsa. We had seconds !My hubby ordered Huevos Ranchero with eggs. He loved .. lots of onions.I had Chorizo with eggs .. delicious n generous serving .. added salsa .. even better.I took home my leftover, chips n salsa .. Hubby ate all his.So happy we came back 😊It was a delightful experience

This place is overrated and outdated. The chairs are super uncomfortable. They only hav 1 waitress working at 4:30!?! Talk about testing your patience. Then when u get to the food it’s a 1/5The rice is bland. My enchilada was cold and the chips are stale. Old people food :(

I order chilirolenos, the picture telling all. Sad looking small size pepper. No crispiness of the batter, likely has been cooked long time and just get reheated. The veggies dressing was loaded with sugar. mushed bean, bland similar way with salsa, just throw in the food processor.

Food was just bland, salsa tastes like pizza sauce or elpato straight from a can. The tables were way too close for comfort. Horchata tasted generic and disgusting, guacamole was decent . I could hear the staff over the conversation at my table, enchiladas were plain tortillas with gross gravy dumped on top. Worse 50 bucks ever spent

Yummy beans and rice! I did have a chicken quesadilla with chicken enchilada special and I cleaned my plate. The gravy was delicious. I ordered a Pina colada and the drink was classic. There were some fans watching a football game in the bar and the energy was great. The bartender was so kind and all the staff were great! There is a banquet type seating area which I didnt try tonight but for a nice dinner out with a girlfriend, its comfort food that hits the spot.

This is a great place to try if you are in the area. The food is top notch and there is plenty of seating. The food is definitely authentic and its a great place to take the family. The pricing is fair and not over priced which is a plus since the competition for Mexican food in Stockton is high.

The food as a whole is very good, and the service is great. But, I only have only 2 issues thats my opinion & circumstance.1. The table salsa base comes from tomato sauce, possibly canned, with dry spices. I ordered the Pico de Gallo with a $1.50 charge.2. The wood chairs are very uncomfortable for my sciatica from an old back injury. I forgot about them when I suggested going there to my friend. I had to sit on my jacket for a cushion.Try the food yourself and see if you agree with me. The chair issues are inconsequential to others, to those who dont have back or hip injuries.

Excellent waitress and staff! Food took a little long to get out of the kitchen, but they kept my beer glass full - so no real complaints there! Slow, servers, but food great. Servers are nice, but dont expect much. Been in 3 times and 3 different servers. Appetizers brought with meal, once food dropped they disappear. Have had to asl for bill and even then had to ask for payment collection.

The service was good and the place has a cool vibe and the bar was packed and looks ikes like a fun time. However, the food leaves a lot to be desired. We ordered take out for 7 people and it was incredibly bland.. rice is flavorless and beans were the same. I added my own salt to make it at least edible. The carne asada I ordered was supposed to come with onions and peppers but my meal didnt come with it .. just the asada steak that, again, had pretty much no flavor. This is my only experience eating there so maybe the cook was new or they ran out of salt and seasonings. In any case, being that Stockton has a huge variety of legit Mexican food Im not exactly sure I would choose this place over one of the several other really good authentic Mexican spots. I dont like giving bad reviews so I still gave them 2 stars and more stars for service and everything else. Food just was not good at all in my opinion. Left me very dissatisfied, unfortunately

Driven by this place a thousand times, never stopped. A neighbor recommended it and so we decided to give them a try. Glad we did. Great atmosphere and friendly servers. Food was good, (although the steak for the fajitas was a little too done). Margaritas on the rocks hit the spot. We will definitely visit again.

Great atmosphere love the authentic Mexican theme. Arrived and was seated within a minute. Immediately after sitting down we were treated with a waitress with a happy and positive attitude. After we ordered our meals came out within 10-15 minutes. First time ever eating at this establishment and will definitely be back next time we are in Reno.

When I first walked in as a new customer there wasnt anyone that greeted me . So I turn the corner to another section of the restaurant and next to a guy who might had worked there was a stack of menus. I asked if I could see one . He wasnt that friendly and nodded. Nice selection,prices are fair, restaurant looked clean. The lady that took my order was very nice . She even brought the food out to me at my car. The food was Package good but I have had better Mexican food at other Mexican family owned restaurants. The only thing I liked eating was the tortilla chips. Salsa was to American it had the consistency of like ketchup. Taco bland and enchilada as well. The Spanish rice was ok but the bean with cheese on top was good. I have to say for my liking I wont be going back to this restaurant.

I hadnt been to Miguels in years. Was in the area, so I went to dinner with my mother & sister. The service was great and the food was really good too. My only ding was that we sat too close to the bar area and it was very noisy. We had enchiladas and rellenos. With the rice & beans, portions were good. Overall, it was a good experience and I will return in the future.

This is a wonderful family restaurant. The food and drinks are delicious. They have been here for decades and have many regular customers who love them.The South wall holds a large tribute to the local Latino athletes over many years, it is unique and beautiful.They once had the smallest bar in California, but have expanded it in the back, so its much larger now. Enjoy!

Good food, lousy bar staff.Perhaps 3 stars is a bit harsh, but when arrived, we wanted to watch the game in the bar area. We waited four quite a while before my friend approached the bartender to ask for a menu. She was very busy.... in her cell phone watching a video. When he asked for a menu, her attitude was a bit dismissive saying you waitress will be with you shortly. She went right back to watching her video. Didnt offer to sell us a drink, get us chips and salsa or find out where the waitress was. After at least 10 minutes, I went to the front myself and found the waitress. She was busy and hadnt noticed us come in. She served us at quickly once she knew we were there. The food was good, I ordered a chicken taco lunch. If we go back, it wont be for the bar atmosphere.....

This burrito.. It was like… it was like someone poured canned beef stew into a tortilla. The way it was wrapped was akin to a hastily wrapped dirty diaper—it couldn’t be picked up without all the goop shooting out of it like a firehose. I really wanted this place to be good. First off we waited forever for some one to realized we were there and come seat us. The food was bad. The steak in the tacos was cook right but completely unseasoned. The tortilla chips were nasty and tasted like old oil. The chimichangas were stuffed with nothing but large chunks of raw onions and bell peppers. I literally felt like I was eating a onion.

Once we were seated it took awhile for us to be served food and drinks. When we recieved our order one of the orders was wrong. I ordered nachos, the meat was bland the, chips tasted stale and the cheese tasted over microwaved. Unfortunately this place did not meet our expectations of being authentic or reflect the reviews of how good the food was by other customers. The worst part of the experience was i projectile vomited the whole night.

The food is pretty good and you almost never have to wait for a table. The staff is very nice but sometimes you have to go hunting for them if you need anything. Its also pretty unpleasant when you are trying to enjoy a meal and theres a loud crowd in the bar.

After dedicating years here as my favorite restaurant no more will I go back. The last few times I have gone in when the owner was away I have gotten bad service. Either taking forever to bring drinks or menus. The last visit. We were ignored for nearly an hour. No drinks. No menus. When we gave up and finally left I hear the workers exclaim they are finally leaving. Wow. At least 4 staff members were hiding in the drink area by the door when it was said.

We had to wait forever to be seated even though there was plenty of open tables. My gf found 2 long hairs in her food within the first maybe 3 bites and when she told our waitress she said it must be my gfs hair even though it was way to long to be. I went to Miguels for the first time today and the new bar tender Stephen was rude and didnt know what he was doing. On top of that, he was checking his phone repeatedly stating he had baby mamma problems. because of his private issues he processed to tell me I was rude as I was talking to my friend and other people at the bar. We were all laughing and having a good time so Im not sure why he felt the need to project his feelings on me?I was able to speak to Alfredo the owners son to let him know what had taken place. Nothing was done as he had his drink and did nothing.I do not recommend this place to any one and told Alfredo I would be posting a negative review.

I actually forget about Miguels but its really good and the pricing reasonable. I had the #1 combination plate taco and enchilada, mine were chicken,you can also choose beef or mix them. Salad, beans and rice $10.95. The taco was crispy and well made. Everything was delicious! I had black beans but you have your choice. The chip come with salsa we also had guacamole,but it was a party so I am not sure if that was extra,but let me just say I am very picky about guacamole and I could not stop eating theirs, it was amazing!Our server was second to none, she was friendly and very attentive. She kept our drinks full and made sure all our needs were met!I definitely want to make it a priority to remember Miguels! They put out great food with service to match!They just need to add Auga Fresca to the menu to become a favorite, but their Horchatia is good.

Horrible service. The host was rude. The waiters did not greet us. We waited 10 minutes to be sitted when they had tables available in the front and back. When we were sitted, the waiter gave us our menus but did not ask if we wanted anything to drink. We waited another 10 minutes and finally decided to walk out. Other customers left as well. One of most most horrifying experience. We will not return.

The service was good though the waitress lady said a cook didnt show so maybe that was reflective in the food because although it was good, I wasnt impressed. I hope that cook realizes what she did and hopefully corrective action will be taken. Im still looking for a Mexican Restaurant in Stockton to top the Froggies if you will and still havent found it. I ordered two tacos with beans and rice it was supposed to be the dinner combo it didnt come with my salad I didnt get any silverware I ordered a iced tea sweet tea with lemon didnt get the lemon it wasnt a sweet tea just and there was hardly anybody in there and all in all I was very disappointed I was really excited about going there but Ill never go there again

Miguels has been around for years and being a mile from home I eat there often. Decent food but not exceptional; they will spice it up upon request. There is a sporrs bar that can get rowdy. I very much enjoy their quevos rancherios without meat. Carnitas on Thursday only is also very tasty.

I have been enjoying Miguels for many years they have Mexican American food. I generally order the Everyday Luncheon Special, for around $8.00. For the price you get a lot of food. You start with chips and salsa, then a salad, the main plate contains a beef, chicken or cheese enchilada, beef, chicken or cheese quesadilla, beans and rice There is so much food that I almost always bring home a box.
