I’ve been a loyal State Farm client for over 18 years and the majority of that time spent with a great team in Windsor. After some changes in personnel, my experience changed and I was not happy with the service for the past few years. Miguels office has been handling my insurance policies for about 14 years (since I started driving). Before that, his office handled my fathers policies. At first, for me, it was just my vehicle but as Ive grown older and acquired more things his office has helped my policy grow with me. He always quickly answers emails and phone calls. Recently, I emailed him about a discount for home security. He answered my question and also mentioned I should review my homeowners policy since it hadnt been update in about 3 years. I always appreciate a proactive agent! While Miguel is an amazing Agent, the star of his office is Barbara!!Barbara has always treated me like family. She has always offered policies or coverage I NEED and never anything I dont (same with Miguel). When calling about anything she always asks how Im doing and if Im okay before starting the business side of our conversation. Any time there has been an issue my father would tell me Call Barbara because she has always handled things for us. She makes the stressful decisions (life insurance, homeowners policies, etc.) easier to make because shes friendly and knowledgeable. My father and I have often spoken about how amazing and helpful she is. There have been many times I have called with a question or to update a policy and from the very beginning she makes me feel like Im talking to a close friend. I dont feel like Im just a customer. I feel like she genuinely cares about me and my family and making sure we are covered if anything were to happen to us. I live about 200 miles North of Petaluma but I would never change my agent because Barbara is so pleasant and helpful. So, if youre reading this Barbara, THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart!State Farm is a great insurance company. Ive had accidents, my car has been stolen, and Ive been part of a major fire in Northern California (Carr fire) and State Farm has always handled the heavy lifting for me. No one ever likes to make a claim but knowing that I have an insurance company who is there for ME and MY FAMILY helps me sleep better at night. They also have amazing discounts and, personally, I dont feel like Im spending an unreasonable amount for the amazing service and coverage Im getting. Especially after hearing people in my area say theyve been dropped by their insurance companies after the Carr Fire.Moral of the story, if youre looking for an amazing agent to handle all of your policies, call Miguel Alfaros office and if Barbara answers tell her I said hi!.

Wow, just wow. I was in search of a business insurance policy for my photography business. I had contacted NUMEROUS agencies and after FOUR MONTHS of back and forth with them, I was quoted upwards of $2500 for the year, which is incredibly steep for my small business. I was about to sign but, since we already had a renters policy (and previously our personal auto policies) with Miguels office, I figured Id give them a shout and see if they could help, as my wife suggested. She said that Barbara was super nice and was sure she would help if she could.So, Barbara, at Miguels office, answered my call and was BEYOND incredible walking through the ins and outs, confirming with the underwriter and just literally bending over backwards to make it all work out - and for a FRACTION of the rates others were quoting me!!We ended up switching our auto policies back to State Farm with greatly increased coverage for just a little more than we were paying for the minimum with Farmers.She has responded almost immediately to my requests for additional COIs and additional insureds, and has just been incredible to work with. I have had my insurance with Miguel since 1998. I havent lived in the Bay Area in many years, but the service is too fantastic to change agents. I have my truck, horse trailer, and renters insurance through them, and a liability policy for my dog training business as well. Ive had State Farm insurance since I got my license at 16, and this office is the best Ive ever worked with. I love everyone in this office, and have always felt like they all truly care. I have no plans to change agents any time soon.

I walked in without an appointment to get insurance for my business. Cecilia dropped everything and she and everyone in the office gave me their undivided attention!! They were engaging, professional, positive and happy to help me. It was such a great experience. I highly recommend them, dont go anywhere else!!!! Mayra has gone over and beyond to help us transfer our home and auto policies. She is warm, friendly, and a great communicator. She let us know all our options and walked us through some issues with older policies. She did put a sell on us, which I appreciated because ultimately she was right--we are saving hundreds with State Farm. Overall, she is responsive and extremely competent and went above and beyond to make sure we were saving the most money we could. She is fantastic to work with--and I had been working with another company that made every step of the process more difficult than it needed to be. Not so with Mayra and Miguel! In the course of answering my questions and receiving my Odometer readings, she noticed that I have several streams of coverage; car(s), and house.In fact, I live in Alaska. I have House and Car Insurance here, too. She spoke with me and sent information on an Umbrella Policy. No other agent or agency brought this to my attention and its benefits. It will fit my needs better: lowering my car coverage amounts and/or adjusting house liability. This would safe-guard me with higher limits for unforeseen incidents that might arise.Since I am a resident of Alaska, it will be appropriate for me to have the insurance in Alaska. I sent an email to inquire about my auto policy premium and how I might reduce the rate. I received a response within a couple of hours from Barbara A. She provided me with information on accessing a Mature Driver Program that once passed would give me an additional discount. She also had me confirm my yearly driving mileage to see if that help lower my premium. I had questions about my homeowner policy and she was very informative about things I needed to do to make sure I was adequately covered in case of fire or other damage to my property. 2 years ago, I was failed miserably by Geico after an deer incident!!I always drove past this State Farm office, which is in my neighborhood, and decided to stop in and see what they had to offer in the way of car insurance. I am so glad I did!! The service I have received since then has been top notch!! Yes, State Farm is possibly more expensive than other insurance providers. But I learned the hard way that you get what you pay for!!! I moved all my insurance policies over - auto, renters, and now looking into life insurance! I have had the pleasure to work with agent Norma Maldonado - she is wonderful and always goes above and beyond, listening to my needs, thoroughly explaining options, and helping me make the best choices based on my circumstances. As an AAA customer, I called to see if they could give me better coverage at a better price and Norma answered the phone. They dont know how important it is to be attended to by a person who not only speaks Spanish but also has a lot of knowledge of all situations.
