Fantastic Michaels. The staff here are friendly, kind and helpful. There is so much to find in this store. Arts and crafts, framing and other fun things in between. Everything is well organized. You could spend days in here just looking at stuff! Love the seasonal stuff like Valentines Day goodies right now. ❤️

They had everything I needed and most of it was on sale. I ended up getting more than I anticipated. The person at the checkout was very helpful with wrapping everything, putting things into a box, tge offering to watch my items while I pulled the car up to the front of the building for easier loading. I will return to this location.

Michaels is a great chain craft store. You wont find anything niche or luxe, but you will find a good variety of whatever basic crafting supplies you need. Well, except sewing stuff. They dont do fabric and the like.I particularly like their kid craft kits, especially when they go on sale. Ill buy a few, throw them in the closet, and feel like a genius when I dig them out on rainy days.Before you go in, pull up a coupon. They always have one on their website. You need to preload it though, as the building doesnt have great internet.

Although as a designer and creator of high-end items, I have a great relationship with the staff at my local outlet of this Corporate chain. They all strive to keep the store location stocked, orderly, and clean. They are absolutely friendly, patient, and those who show their creativity outwardly - are fun and helpful to the customers, making the atmosphere positive, even checkout!Their adherence to the highest Community Health guidelines, in all the customer interactions I observe, is also admirable & appreciated since I am a retired Healthcare Practitioner, but now RARELY leave my home.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟A topnotch crew in my well-traveled experience, making face-to-face my preference when it comes to Michaels ANYDAY! (a lot# variation in a yarn purchase CAN be critical, and my person knew & appreciated that)💖. Pretty nice place in a ice area. Costumer service is limited at this location. It seems like due to the holidays its busier than usual and this translates to longer of lines for checknout and less staff to help find stuff. Staff is supper friendly and despite how overwhelming it could be having a multitude of costumers, everyone kept the rhythm with a positive attitude.

There is wheelchair accessible parking available as well as wheelchair accessible entry and the aisles are very wheelchair friendly. This Santa Rosa store has everything a craft enthusiast could want. The bead section isnt the greatest but they do have a good selection of different kinds of beads. This particular store has Custom Framing which was closed when I was there but I did notice it and thought I would throw that it was available in this review. This is a magnificent clean well organized store it was a wonderful experience looking at all the different items they carry for just about any craft you could think of their prices are fair. This Santa Rosa store has a lot more than the Petaluma store has. All in all I think you will find everything you need to fulfill your crafting needs. Thank you Santa Rosa Michaels for a wonderful experience.

This shop is laid out pretty much the same as the last one which is great. We got to the store in the middle of a restocking. The shelves were stocked well enough that we knock out six of twenty seven gifts. Pretty good for us. The staff is great and know where everything is.

This store has a really great selection of different supplies. There are also some very helpful coupons that are easy to get and often offer 40-50 % off. The employees are hot or miss and are either very knowledgeable or dont know much and are misleading. It can BE EXTREMELY crowded with lines that wrap around the store. This doesnt always prompt them to open all the check out lanes and Ive had to leave, mid-line and put everything back multiple times after waiting over a half hour without moving up much.

This location is always well stocked, and has a diverse range of craft supplies. My husband is able to find the paints, airbrush supplies, and brushes that he needs, and I have no problem finding the baking supplies I am looking for. The staff are always helpful and positive, as well!They are also currently holding to social distancing protocols, including monitoring the number of guests in the store by forming lines outdoors, and making sure that the check out lines are marked clearly for guests to maintain 6-foot distancing.

Update so I gave Michaels in SR one more shot I even called ahead of time to make sure they had what I needed she asked me to hold on while she checked.Oh yes we have that .So drive all the way there I finally got to the girl I spoke with and asked her what # is it she had to look on her phone I said didnt you just check on that for me..She said oh no I looked on my phone..So again I had to wait for some one to help me find it and after searching the place it was supposed to be, well they were out of it..I will never go back to this place as gave the gals the benefit of doubt because of lack of keeping up inventory!!! And not training staff to get off their chair and go look make sure because I could do exactly what she did from home.So this could be an amazing store and business would be great but whoever manges this place needs to go or get help because this is the only art store with in 2/3 miles from any art store Get it together.. Really had a great experience here tonight. I had two team members that went out of their way to help me. The first one was David, who spent a good amount of time looking for circle punches for me. It seems there was a run on them in the past week, so there was none on the shelves. David went out of his way to get the step ladder, climb up, and look through several boxes to find the one I was looking for.He could’ve easily said, “Sorry, we’re all out“. Instead, he showed some outstanding customer service, and I’m especially thankful for that.Second was Leo, my cashier, who was just very pleasant, definitely overworked, as there was a line of 40 people and he was the only one working. He scanned my coupons, gave me the discounts, it was overall just a great experience.It’s usually hit or miss at Michael’s with customer service. These two gentlemen definitely set the bar high for other employees at Michael’s. Thank you so much!

Clean store, plenty of parking, easy access. The store seemed well stocked, signed and staffed. Floor clerks were mostly helpful. The two cash registers were sufficient for the light customer traffic and we checked out within 5- minutes.The regular prices were comparitivly high as some items we checked on Amazon were 10-20% lower than Michaels price after the 40% off coupon discount. It is however, an experience to walk in, wander around and touch stuff.One downside was that we did not find a public restroom... If there was one, it was very well hidden.

I went to this place with my daughter and we had the greatest time. There are so many art supplies and fun crafts and projects to do. The staff was nice I was looking for the $4 boxes that they do have different products but they had them in thin plastic bags and someone had already gone through all of them and ripped them all a part. But no one at the store was willing to rebagg them or even help in any way to turn some of the items into one bag. So my experience there was not the best I did not look around there store for other things I was truly disappointed after watching on YouTube these $4 boxes of some really good stuff that Michaels carries for crafts but they had no boxes just bags that somebody decided to rip them all open and pick and choose for themselves hope you all have a better experience than me

I ordered online for curbside pickup due to convenience and covid. they have this neat function where you can tell them you are on your way and I assumed that would mean it would be ready when I arrived 20 minutes later. When I arrived at the store I sat in the curbside pickup for 10 minutes before anyone came out. They did not bring me the right item. I had to then wait in line to go into the store and return it. Completely defeated the point of ordering online and doing curbside. so incredibly frustrated with this store.

First time going inside to this store on a Sunday morning, it was really busy. They have great products but I in the middle of my shopping I had a question. I swear couldnt find any employees on site even though it was really busy. Im unhappy because I was not given my 20% coupon discount (for entire sale, including sale items) at the register. The manager claimed the 6 items (all the same) on my receipt were Clearance items and not eligible for the 20% off. However, the bin from where they came was NOT marked Clearance anywhere, and when I scanned the items at a price checker, before purchasing them, they all scanned with a Sale Price, not as Clearance items. I had thought the items would, and should, qualify for the 20% off coupon. But, they did not ring up with the 20% off when my coupon was scanned. Curiously, my receipt shows a P for Promotion on each items line, rather than a C for Clearance, as well. Although the manager FINALLY, and begrudgingly, offered to redo my sale, and give me the 20% off anyway, she intimidated me in front of other customers enough to discourage me from forcing (asking) her to go through the extra trouble of redoing the sale and giving me the coupon discount for items that werent eligible (her words). So, I did not press her to redo the sale and give me the 20% coupon discount, but I walked away very mad. Its not so much the extra money I spent that upsets me, as it is the principle of not getting the promised coupon discount...plus being subjected to the managers intimidating attitude and her untruthfulness about the items being clearanced when they were obviously only sale items. She did not show me any proof that my items were clearanced.

Staff is friendly and helpful.Ordering online during Covid has been a nightmare...1. Hundreds of items advertised online are out of stock. Yet still displayed in the online store. Huge time waster.2. When you DO find available items, you may purchase then receive an email the following day saying, Were sorry, the items you ordered are out of stock. Well refund your money.3. Then you FINALLY find an item in stock and available to ship! But then the item arrives totally busted up, unusable, so you lug the heavy thing back to the store to return it and what do they say?? Were not taking returns due to Covid. Grrrr...Michaels is not accepting returns but plenty of other stores are. Ill skip Michaels for now and shop where the experience is more pleasant.

I dont come often enough to know my way around but every isle has interesting stuff anyways. The sewing area is small lots of yarn though but they have other craft hobbies covered in full even boys would enjoy the car and airplane model area with bigginer to advanced kits and all sorts of paints and tools to build them with. Hit Smart and Final grocery store or Ross and treat yourself to a visit their just across the parking lot.

They have a wide variety of craft supplies and I almost always find what Im looking for. Most of their products are reasonably priced or if they arent, I use a coupon so at least the store offers a way for the items to be purchased for a good price. They keep up with trends and offer new styles and products on a regular basis. I frequent the store often and I do not get bored of the same old thing. The reason that I am not giving a five star rating is due to the lack of quality customer serviced. Im at that location anywhere from 1-4 times a month and its usually of low quality, and on occasion I run into really rude, incompetent or apathetic employees who act as if you are bothering them by asking a question and one they cant answer anyway.Today I was looking for a pricey product and I just called the store to ask if they had it in stock, its called the Bigshot (I previously visited the store and they had a spot for it, but I never saw physically it there and the employees could never tell me when another would come in). So Im on the phone and three people and 7 minutes later (mostly being on hold) I was told no, they did not have it in stock. However, she didnt know what it was, you can usually tell by the tone in someones voice if they recognize what youre talking about, plus she asked me if I was looking for a Bigkit, leading me to believe she was just looking it up on a computer, not actually checking the aisle. I asked when they were going to get one in stock and she said that it was hard to tell. This is one of the two big problems with the store being a chain and both come down to lack of care for the customer!!!I have to say that the third employee was actually friendly and was trying to help me, which is rare. She told me to order the product online and that there is no shipping cost ($50 or more shipped free to home and under $50 shipped free to the store). I guess that is an option but I wanted to see the actual product and Im not really interested in waiting two weeks for something to be shipped.So, I would give 2 stars for overall customer service and 4 stars for having products I like/want, having a good variety and being an all in one craft/hobby/art store unlike the other craft stores in town. I get a 3 when I average these two numbers.

You can go there a bit down and lonely and an hour later come out with a smile under your mask and anticipation in your heart. There is always a new craft to be learned, invented or tried. The michaels app always has coupons! 60% off one regular priced item coupon is up almost every day, sometimes its 40% or 50%. And they honor competitors coupons like Joannes in store. Ive been here a lot and this store is really good about scanning coupons off your phone. BEWARE: watch the items scanned and the coupon applied. If you can, purchase the item you want with a discount by itself or else the computers will pick the lowest priced item and discount that. When you become coupon savvy there, you notice their computers are always going to try and cheat your cart by picking lowest priced items/sale items, or negate savings with in-store deals. For example: if you shop for items that have buy 2 get 1 free, you cant discount one of the two with another online coupon (unless the coupon says sale items as well.) If there is an item that you use your 60% off on, it sometimes wont apply the discount if your cart qualified for an in store deal you didnt know about just because you bought multiples of an item. Basically, watch the monitor as coupons are applied. They consistently would allow me to do multiple transactions with one coupon at one register so each item would be 60% off, but they caught on and stopped doing that for the most part. So stick to 2 or 3 transactions max before they get frustrated and say no. Or get back in line a few times lol

I have used Michaels in Ventura for my custom matting for over a decade.We recently moved to Santa Rosa and we brought in a number of projects for custom mats in their framing department. What a difference in customer service!In Ventura, we were treated with caring customer service, the people always used white gloves to measure your work (which I recently found out is Michaels policy). They were helpful in assisting us in choosing the color mat and the frame size.The gal who helped us, I will leave her name off this review as she knows who she if she ever reads this review, had such an incredible attitude it was painful to complete our order!She and her colleague were both very unhappy and put out in their attitudes.Shame on Michaels for having such NON-customer service oriented staff!
