Mike and the team at Metric Motors, Inc are a rare find, indeed. Ive restored several vintage Mercedes-Benz models and was having a difficult time sorting out a 280SE 4.5. Lucky enough to hear about Metric Motors, I contacted Mike and he immediately knew exactly what I needed and why I was having such a difficult time figuring out fitment issues. My engine rebuild project is now completed and thanks to Mike and the fine people at Metric Motors the car is running great. Thank you a thousand times Mike! I have a 1971 Mercedes 220 that I was trying to find pistons for. It proved to be extremely difficult to find anything that would work in my car. I spoke to Mike and he was excellent in helping me find a set of pistons for my 220. I got the pistons and they work fantastic, Im so glad to have my 220 running again. 10/10 for Metric Motors and 10/10 for Mike!

Dealing with Mike over at Metric Motors was the best for Mercedes. The rebuilding of my cylinder head was on point! The motor is back in the car and the car is running so much better! We have been doing business with Mike and the guys at Metric Motors for 30 + years, they are Honest and reliable people. They take the time to talk to with you and answer questions about there engines. Every engine we have purchased from them have been top notch. We have one of there rebuilt engines running in a Mercedes 220 diesel for over 300,000 miles and still going strong. I have recommended them to many people over the year and never had any complaints

I purchased a new Mercedes 3.0 Blue Tec engine from Mike at Metric Motors in Canoga Park. From start to finish, everything was FIRST CLASS! Mike made me feel as if I had known him my whole life. The buying process was one of the most pleasant purchasing experiences that I have ever had as an adult. My new engine makes my Sprinter feel like a brand new van. He took care of the core and didnt pressure me to send it back while the van waited for the mechanic shop to have time to install it. Im in north Louisiana and he coordinated shipping to north Louisiana from Canoga Park as well as arranging the pick up of my core by the trucking company. The entire transaction was outstanding. When I need another Mercedes engine, Mike will definitely have my business! I highly recommend Metric Motors and Mike for all of your Mercedes Benz needs.He discussed with me the person who gave them a 1 Star rating. They were not even customers of Metric Motors. Just some jerk trying to sabatoge his outstanding business. You have one in every crowd. Mike is very trustworthy.

Mike and his team are top notch. My specialty is Britsh cars and I know Lotus motors and many other British marks so to see how knowledgeable this team is, is quite satisfying and comforting that I will get a top quality rebuilt unit back that will give me years of great and dependable service.

I have used Metric Motors for over 25 years. I have owned my own Mercedes shop for 10 years and worked at dealerships for 20 plus years before that. We have installed many, many short blocks, long blocks and re-manufactured cylinder heads from them. We have used them for everything from 1965 230SL long blocks to 2009 E350 cylinder heads. I honestly cant remember having one single problem with anything they have done for us. There work is top notch and Mikes service is outstanding. I would never even think about using anyone else.

Mike provides quality service and guarantees customer satisfaction. They are the go to people for engine or head work for the 190SL Group members. I called Mike about two small dowels for my 190SL engine. He knew exactly what I was talking about and told me he would put them in the mail for me right away at no charge. These are the type of people you want to deal with.
