Merrill & Associates Real Estate is absolutely amazing! Cassandra and Shonda sold our home in Paso Robles, California for well over the asking price! They are amazing, kind, organized, hard-working, and wonderful! I would highly recommend Merrill & Associates Real Estate! They are extremely well organized and answer phone calls, emails, and texts within minutes!! They will help you find the perfect home or sell your house for the best price!!

The entire team was incredibly helpful - especially Cassandra and Shonda. We were a complicated case, as I was moving to Paso Robles with my son, and my mother was also moving here at the same time. So we had to sell two homes and then purchase two in Paso Robles, all on a timeline. Cassandra and Shonda helped us to sort through the different options available in the market - as well as putting in extra work to understand our needs since for much of the time we were shopping remotely, with limited ability to visit properties ourselves. They really took the time to understand our needs and found us two perfect properties within our timeline. Since we were not yet in Paso Robles for the inspections and closings, their team handled these and kept us informed via facetime walkthroughs and written reports. They took time to explain all of the process and disclosure differences between California and other states where we have previously owned homes. And we did all the paperwork via docusign! They tracked all the details and gave me a list of dates when different pieces would need to be complete, helping me to organize everything during an incredibly busy period in my life. Both home purchases were completed with no difficulties. Their advice on negotiations - on price and inspection items - was excellent, and I am sure saved us money while also ensuring our bids were successful. Importantly, it was also just genuinely fun to work with them. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Cassandra, Shonda and the whole team to anyone looking to buy or sell a home in the Paso Robles area. They are absolutely wonderful and a joy to work with.

We are so grateful to have worked with Cassandra Merrill. With tools like zilllow and redfin, you sometimes wonder why you need a realtor in todays day and age. Cassandra showed us why! She went above and beyond to help us figure out what area would be best for us and what type of house we were really looking for. We were difficult clients with drastically changing timelines and circumstances and she helped us find a house and close on shortened timeline, with professionalism and grace. Shes extremely communicative and responsive. She really listened to us and had advice on things we would have never thought of. Many months into our new home she is still looking out for us and helping us with minor logistical issues like navigating the countys property tax system. We could not recommend Cassandra enough.

Weve been working with Cassandra Merrill since she sold our first house in 2004. She was so knowledgeable and helpful on that first sale - and got top dollar for our little house - weve done 5 other real estate transactions with her. Her communication, research, marketing, and negotiation skills are top notch and shes always made us feel like we were here only client at the time. Weve moved out of state so she handled our last California property; again, she negotiated the best deal for us and closed it in under a month. Cassandra Merrill and Shonda Merrill from Merrill and Associates Realtors were truly exceptional!We first became entranced by the Paso Robles area when we picked up our golden doodles from a long-standing, known breeder in this area and we felt that this is the place where we wanted to be. We started our search approximately 10 months before we found the “one”.When we started the search, we were going to open houses on our own. We felt quite overwhelmed and very underinformed. After a couple of months, we became serious and decided to be represented. We contacted Cassandra Merrill based on her 5-Star reviews and several videos. Her responsiveness was quick as she emailed and called us back while we were driving around the area even before we had engaged with her! Cassandra pleasantly introduced herself and we explained the generalities of what we were looking for and it was obvious that there was limited inventory based on our criteria. The reasons why we chose Cassandra and Merrill and Associates at the outset were due to their: (a) in-depth realty knowledge and expertise; (b) comprehension of current market value; (c) amount of data about the local market; (d) strategic mindset; (e) promptness, responsiveness and availability; and (f) very personable, pragmatic and articulate personality.Cassandra and Shonda spent a great deal of effort and an enormous amount of time with us on home tours and a video tour of a house (as we were not always available). They were always well-prepared and proactively supplied all of the details and/or background information that we particularly cared about (i.e., location, property lines and borders, panoramic views, geo tech info, well and septic tank metrics, neighboring lots) and also objective information that we did not ask for. The generalities we initially provided to Cassandra and Shonda evolved into specificities with respect to the home style, amenities, architecture, open kitchen and entertaining area, tall ceilings, and clean lines. We even checked out houses that fit our profile, but Cassandra did not recommend them, and we realized that she passed on them for a reason as she had a keen sense of our style and lifestyle preferences and requirements.With each interaction and walking us through the process, we learned a great deal from Cassandra and Shonda as they continually educated us and pointed out subtle things that we would have missed as well as highlighted significant items such as water well mechanics, septic considerations, and CC&R implications, all equally important in the decision process. They always asked us the right questions and supplied candid but sometimes different perspectives. They talked us through the do’s, nice to have’s and don’ts. They were genuine, honest and caring professionals who were immensely patient with our seemingly endless questions and who genuinely cared about the ultimate client satisfactory outcome. In fact, the selling and many other listing agents that we’ve come across over several months have commented that we were in excellent hands with Cassandra and Shonda.After a few rounds with different properties, we finally found our dream home and we’ve expressed to Cassandra and Shona that we really wanted the house. They are well-versed in dealing with their industry colleagues, whom they had great professional relationships with, and we quickly worked to put the offer together by the next business day. Once we got into escrow, they were extremely diligent in the coordination, negotiations and finalization of all inspections, escrow process and interim negotiations to bring the process to its finality.We cannot speak highly enough of our experience with Cassandra and Shonda. Their professionalism, mentorship, knowledge, candor and work ethic are truthfully respected, admired and appreciated. They are an A+ rockstar team!
