We’re vacation club owners and love this resort. During this stay, Adelina from the service staff went above and beyond to bring extra requests to us, and double-checked before she went home to see if we needed anything else. We also enjoyed the shuttle driver, Armando, and his personality! The service is always really nice and the 1 to 2 bedroom suite options are really nice.

One of the most amazing resorts I’ve stayed at.Everything is pretty much open now after the renovations and we enjoyed all of both resorts.We had access to the sister resort across the street as well.The bowling alley was so much fun and there were several wedding parties, conferences, etc., the weekend that we went!Perfect time to get out there is now! The weather is beautiful

Really enjoyed my stay at the Meritage, all the staff I encountered was extremely friendly and kind. The renovated rooms are also beautiful. The rooms are a great size (at least the double queen deluxe room) is with a grand bathroom and just plenty of space. The crush lounge is a plus as you can bowl or just lounge and enjoy a drink or two without having to leave the property. Also, a very nice coffee shop onsite. Looking forward to returning and trying out the amenities I didnt have time for on my next visit.

Saw Brit Floyd here last Friday. It was a little windy so it cooled off earlier in the evening. It might be a better outdoor venue later in the season. It also didn’t get dark enough to see their light show until about half way through the show. We sat 4 rows back in the center section but the sound system was not awesome. Miss and highs were ok but the bass was flat and unimpressive. It’s pretty hard to pull off amazing sound outdoors and Brit Floyd really needs an outstanding sound system. We really love the band and have seen them 8 or 10 time’s over the years. I’ll only see them indoors going forward.

This place is a hidden gem. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. The restaurants are amazing and the spa experience was the best. We enjoyed a couples massage with Genie and Leslie and the service was impeccable! The spa amenities are high quality and the resort offers lots to do!

We stayed next door at the Vino Bello, but were invited to a completely wine tasting in the hotel lobby Friday evening. While we don’t drink, we enjoy wandering around the property. During the wine tasting event, one of the meritage staff, Adelina, was playing the piano in the lobby. We ended up listening to her play for about a half hour until the event ended. When she finished, she mentioned that she is self taught. She played a lot of old classic music, my wife even started softly singing with some of the songs. Very enjoyable.

We have stayed here many time and we enjoy walking around the property. On Friday afternoon, Adalina, a Meritage staff member, was playing the piano in the main lobby. It was nice to listen to the piano music. I even started singing along with several of the songs. Thank you.

I actually didnt stay at this hotel. I went to their Blue Note Summer Concert Series and saw Gregory Porter, who is an amazing singer. His band is the perfect accompaniment to his lofty and soulful baritone voice. He is also so silky smooth.The Meritage Resort and Spa was the concerts venue, and it was simply beautiful. The spectularly kept grounds, the hospitable staff, the concert set-up and location, the weather, food trucks, wine truck, wine bar, cafe, market, not to mention, the peeks of vineyards on the hillside behind the stage made this a concert experience I wont soon forget! From what I saw of the hotel, I would absolutely rent a room there. Especially during their concert series. Guests were posted up on their balconies, watching the show from the comfort of their porch chairs. Me: JEALOUS! LOL!

Our recent visit to the Meritage Hotel for a pool cabana experience left much to be desired. This review is only for that experience. While the setting was lovely, we found the overall value lacking. Upon arrival at our cabana, we were disappointed to discover a lack of instructions for operating the TV or any introductory information.Service was another major issue. It took multiple attempts and interactions with different servers just to place a drink order. Furthermore, our initial order was mixed up with another groups, leading to delays and confusion. Even after the mistake was rectified, the timing of drink deliveries was staggered, with one member of our group waiting an excessive 30 minutes for their first drink.The food experience was also subpar. Despite requesting nachos with meat on the side due to dietary preferences, we encountered difficulties. Initially informed there was no steak available, our second attempt resulted in nachos with steak on top and chicken on the side, complicating our meal sharing with vegetarians.While the manager attempted to mitigate the situation by comping one round of drinks, the overall experience fell short of our expectations for a 4-star hotel. The discomfort of being asked by the server for a tip in the form of cash, rather than added on the card charge, at the end of such a tumultuous visit further soured our impression.Despite the efforts of a few friendly staff members and the managers gesture, the cumulative issues left us with a feeling of underwhelm. Unfortunately, this experience has led us to the decision not to return to the Meritage Hotel.

The Meritage Resort in Napa is wonderful for families. Our room was cozy and inviting, with beautiful views of the vineyards and hills from our private balcony. The complimentary bottle of wine was a lovely touch. The adults-only pool and unique spa offered perfect relaxation for moms. The attention to detail, from the decor to the service, was impressive. Its a luxurious and family-friendly destination in Napa Valley.

I am GOBSMACKED that this place somehow has managed a 4.3 despite the worst customer service and overall experience I have ever endured at any establishment (resort, hotel, dining, ANY hospitality business) in my entire life. I attempted to settle my issues with 2 different managers (one in person, the other on the phone resulting in being hung up once and left me on hold ringing twice for over 20+min before I had to give up) and 3 different employees (hung up on 3 times) before writing this review, but they quite frankly do not care at all and treated me like a sub-human. So here I am :)Issues: Paid for a room with a view and was put on the lowest level right outside of the pool, no warm water in the shower (thats right, we took cold showers for entire stay), shower head cable ripped from the wall providing almost no pressure, delivered room service with the 1 food I am allergic to after communicating that to them, phone in the room never worked so we would use my cellphone to call downstairs only to be left on hold EVERY SINGLE CALL for over 30+ minutes at a time (this was actually the most insane issue to me given how foundational it is for hospitality businesses to answer the phone). All of these issues were brought to management every single occurrence, and yet it kept getting worse.Given all these issues, I walked to the front desk (because no employee or manager answered the phone after being on hold for 45 min) to speak to a manager. The manager on call informed me I would be provided with a $100 reimbursement and $100 resort credit. It took 1+ month, 9 phone calls (including being hung up on) to finally receive the $100 reimbursement. But dont worry, that had to come at me being left on hold for 22 minutes and the manager, Xavier, never coming back on the phone - I had to check my bank statement to find out I was reimbursed. There were no apologies, no understanding of the issues. The way he handled the issue was disrespectful despite my patience of telling the story calmly and respectfully the umpteenth time.The way I was spoken to, passed off on the phone dozens of times, hung up on, not apologized to outside of the most recent employee I spoke to (but never the managers) made me feel like less than a human even though this reimbursement is the LEAST that can be provide - we took cold showers and was served food we cannot eat!!! I mean come on, this is unheard of.The only positive of the Meritage is the grounds itself, we really liked the walking paths and the outdoors. Besides that, please take your money elsewhere where they treat their customers with respect and care.Handling this issue for 1+ month after we were so inconvenienced is dehumanizing and beyond disrespectful. Management is the problem.

My significant other and I just went through an absolute nightmare with this resort. We both have busy lives and usually take one trip per year. This year, we thought it would be an amazing experience to book a room at the Meritage with a room overlooking the vineyard. We booked a month in advance, drove 15 hours full of excitement and anticipation with our two dogs, and after a long and exhausting trip finally arrived around 12:30am only to be told our room was given away. Disappointed is an extreme understatement. We drove around for 2 hours trying to find a hotel that would take us and ended up paying way more for a much lesser experience than we anticipated. We were offered an ADA room with no view and a 100 dollar comp for completely ruining our vacation. There was no manager on site, and I feel sorry for the accounting person who was clearly catching the brunt of our frustrations. This is absolutely unacceptable. Not expecting anything to be done or for management to care, just thought people should know how little they care about their guests. There goes our one vacay this year.

First, the place is beautiful but needs some technical upgrades that they are working on. The architecture and marble floors make for an exquisite presence. The resort as a whole is on the quiet, conservative, and older set side for a noticeably active person. Be mindful of the service because it needs upgrading & reminding on basics.

Check in was bad. Paid $250 for room early check in and birthday decorations for noon but they weren’t ready for us at 2:30. We had two bedroom suite and one bedroom was cleaned only once in four nights so we ran out of towels. We were locked out of our room from the inside and the front desk manager blamed us. The key cards to one room didn’t work despite a few walks to the front desk. Calling the front desk when locked out was horrible. We were on hold and hung up on four times. Hold was over an hour before we gave up. We are still giving three stars because it is a pretty nice place. But it’s expensive and we don’t want these problems when on vacation. I don’t think the manager understood our discomfort knowing someone was in our room and locked it from the inside. Security had to go over the balcony wall and get into the room from the sliding glass door. Hopefully they have security cameras and get to the bottom of this.

Stayed one night so we didnt have to drive all the way home after a friends birthday. 😆 When we got there, we werent done yet so we went and had some drinks at the Commons and Paul was super great! He made us the best drinks, laughed with us and really took care of us! It was a great ending of our day. The room was nice, had enough coffee for the 3 of us in the morning... In the early afternoon we went down to the pool and hung out for a few hours, it was lovely and quiet... I made my way to a cabana (which are private, reserved) to look at the leis they had hanging and just check it out, and I fully expected to get kicked out, but the guy came by and was very polite about it and ask if I had reserved it, I said no I was just looking and he laughed and hung up a reserved sign 😂 overall, it was a nice experience and Ill probably be back!

This was our first visit to this property. We came because of the concert series they have, Blue Note Summer Sessions. We booked the room on Expedia. When we arrived we werent given what expedia promised. The staff fixed it and in 24 hours we were in a better room. It was Expedias fault yet Meritage fixed it. Thats the kind of customer service that brings people back, and we WILL COME BACK! Meritage, we really appreciate you.

Room was clean and the staff were nice. But we would have not booked had we known that most of the resort is under renovation. Main pool and hot tub... under renovation. Cafe... under renovation. Lounge and bowling alley... under renovation. Tried the other hot tub in the back of the resort... Luke warm and pooped in. Went across the street to use the hot tub at the Grand Reserve but it was cold and full of leaves. Maybe itll improve, but for now, just find a regular hotel -- same experience for way less money.

Nice hotel/resort but $45 per day resort fee (published rate actually says $40) is a bit ridiculous especially if you’re just staying in the room and not using any of the other amenities. We also arrived around 1pm and they couldn’t check us in until 4 despite calling hours in advance to let them know. Silly that check out is 11 but check in is 4pm. Overall not a bad stay but at $500+ a night should be a higher end experience.

Average hotel that claims to be a resort. Staff were wonderful. Rooms and amenities were average. Wine cave felt fake and super aloud with a group. Wines were ok but very overpriced by the glass. Dont have tile floor in front of elevators with rooms across the hall. The phone next to the toilet was a nice sentiment to the age - vintage resort.

We booked the room on Friday over the phone and told them that we were celebrating our anniversary and it was a last minute trip. We booked a Vineyard King (pictures showed vineyard). The hotel had our room available sooner than check in which was nice, and they told us that our room had a Pool and Vineyard view. In our minds we thought that would be nicer (boy oh boy were we wrong). We could not see the vineyard, it was literally the pool filled with people. (Pictures attached)We didn’t say anything about the room. Next thing we know, our shower is pooling. Doesn’t drain well. We let front desk know, and thought they’d send someone immediately, but it took a while. We went out to dinner and came back to the hotel. The resort was having a car show for Father’s Day and had a whole section of the parking lot closed. Needless to say there was nowhere to park the car. The front desk didn’t care and said we either had to Valet or park on the street. I don’t mind paying for valet, but i will mind paying for it when I’m paying $500 for a room, and I’m forced to valet because you as a hotel chose to block off the park lot. They should’ve offered complimentary valet for poor planning from their end.We’re already annoyed and come back to the room and turn on the TV, the TV didn’t turn on. I called front desk and asked them if they were using a universal remote because it was Samsung TV and not a Samsung remote. They said they’d send a new one, and that didn’t work either. So we had no entertainment in the room.What was supposed to be a fun getaway in a nice resort, was a weekend at a mediocre hotel with a room not worth the price we paid. The front desk folks were also sounding irked and concierge kept talking down to us with an attitude.

They have great service. We had a problem with our AC after we checked in, set someone out to try and fix it. When it couldnt be fixed we had another room within 10 minutes. Beautiful grounds, All the staff has been very nice and helpful.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the recent stay my partner and I experienced at your establishment. During our stay, we encountered several unacceptable issues, including:-Dirty towels-Burn mark on the vanity mirror-Broken shower head-Cold Water-Broken phone line-Food containing a flagged allergen served through room service, despite prior communication of the allergyThese issues fall far short of the standards expected from a 4-star hotel. Management initially assured us a refund would be processed to compensate for the issues. Unfortunately, after over a month of following up, weve been met with nothing but confusion, incorrect transfers, and inadequate customer service.

I want to love this place, but they still have work to do to earn more stars from me.The Good:- Recently renovated rooms, which are much improved from the last time I was here. HUGE in size, beautiful colors and very nice finishes- Comfortable beds- Plenty of outlets, including USBs- Staff you encounter in the halls, elevators, etc. were all so friendly and hospitable and well-mannered - kudos!- Restaurant on-site (Olive and Hay) is really good (though a bit pricey) and wait staff here was top notch - dined here 3x during my stay. We didnt have any trouble making reservations. Carlos and Angel at dinner were AMAZING - so funny and kind and gave the best service!- Everything was very clean- Food during our conference was very good and included a lot of varietyThe Needs Work:- Upon arrival late at night, I parked my vehicle (the lobby pull up area was full of large tour buses) and proceeded to the check in counter. After checking in, they told me I needed to walk back across the dark parking lot alone (solo female traveler) to put the hang tag in my vehicle. I asked if it could wait until morning and they said no, it needed to be done immediately. So off I go after 16 hours of travel, with my heavy bags and suitcase in tow back across the parking lot (which was quite far). Not a great first impression for a weary east-coast traveler- I was told my room was in a building next door and that Id need to walk outside and in between two buildings to get to my room. Again, as a female solo traveler, Id like to avoid dark walks between buildings late at night. I asked if the area was well-lit and was told kind of. Again, not a great first impression.- The HVAC in the room makes a horrible buzzing sound every time it kicks on. This happens all through the night as it cycles off/on and its fairly loud. I was exhausted from long travel, but it woke me up consistently at night.- My hair dryer literally caught on fire (see photos). While the rooms have been renovated, it seems they didnt replace these in the renovation because it looked old to start with and even had paint splatters all over the handle of it. Called the front desk to ask for a replacement. 45 minutes later (and with wet hair), I still hadnt received a replacement and was told they let housekeeping know but had so far not been able to locate a replacement hair dryer. So was I just supposed to meet my client for breakfast with wet hair or what?- Toilet paper is horrible- Fridge in my room did not work the entire stay (drank warm water)- Extra fees they charge (resort fees, parking fees) are pricey

First off, to whoever owns this car, I saw some lady use the hotel golf cart and hit it so hard I heard it from inside the building at the front desk. She didn’t check for damage, leave a note, nothing. Not sure if the lady was an employee or a drunk guest, but she should never have been in possession of the cart keys as she clearly didn’t know how to handle it. I told the front desk about this hit and run, hopefully something was done about it.Aside from being greeted with that incident, that was then followed up by my vineyard view room, that I booked a month prior, no longer being available and the only room available was an ADA suite on the first floor with no view. I was offered $100 in resort credit, which I kindly declined.Do not stay here if you want to have to worry about your car getting hit with random golf carts or have the room you booked not be available upon arrival.

I booked the trip through Amex travel, which was prepaid. The hotel double charged me for the rooms. The front desk was somehow unable to refund me and tried their best to delay the refund. Apparently only their account managers have access to fix things like that. The whole time, the hotel tried to kick me out instead of resolving the issue. I usually have a fantastic experience when booking with the Hotel Collection, but its definitely the worst experience and an outlet that damaged the Amex brand and experience. The rooms have outdated equipment like broken lights, hair dryers, doors, alarm clocks etc. The location was good because they have tasting rooms and multiple wineries onsite, but its also noisy from the freeway.

Attending a conference that is taking place at the hotel and this has been a great venue.The rooms are still in the process of being updated so there is some renovation work being done. None of it was disruptive.The rooms are quiet and comfortable but little details still need attention. For example, plugged my phone into the bedside outlet to charge overnight and discovered that it was not a live plug. There were 3 plugs and only 2 outlets available. I am sure it will be solved soon.The service has been pleasant but not exceptional. Would love to see the staff follow the Four Seasons standard of smiling and engaging when in the presence of guests.Love that I can stay onsite and not have to leave for good or spa. The location feels a little funny, but when you are onsite it is quiet and comfortable.

This is my 3rd year staying at the Meritage for Bottlerock and it has only gotten worse. lets start with THIS trip (and Meritage, the room reservation is under my friends name, we are waiting for guest services to call us as promised).Arrived at 3pm, check-in is at 4, huge line in the lobby-understandable. They knew this would happen. but no preparation. Went to the new lobby bar, they had one bartender working for one of the busiest times of the entire weekend- check-in for Bottlerock.My friend had pre-ordered the birthday celebration and the red wine flight. Nothing was in there and our room was very warm. My friend notified the front desk that neither pre-purchased items were in the room, they said they would get on it asap. We waited an hour, but then needed to leave for Bottlerock around 5. As we were leaving, the bday celebration showed up. We grabbed it and went to put it in the fridge..There was no silverware, so no way to eat it. We return from BR around 9 and go to the lobby bar. There were 3 other parties there and 3 people working. We do not get addressed for 5 minutes. The bartender did not even know that room service went until 12 pm, he had to ask the front desk. After our first drink was finished we waited and waited, we had to waive down someone else to serve us.Back to the room, no A/C so we have to call the front desk. Also, the wine flight was there but it was the wrong one, two warm whites and two reds- not the one that was ordered. No one answers any line option on the phone. The only option that answers is in room dining who transfers me to someone who can help. Maintenance came and replaced the thermostat, which was great, but at 11 at night. We ordered room service during the wait, DONT.. not worth it. Bar level food for Olive and Hay prices.and it will sit in the hall for almost 24 hours.Next morning, housekeeping comes at 8:45 am, we ask them to come back in an hour or so. We leave for the day, no one ever comes back, room isnt cleaned, ok, no big deal. Next day, housekeeping comes again at 9 am, we ask them to come in an hour. We are leaving a hour later and the cart is across the hall but they are in the rooms with the doors closed, so we assumed it would be fine. We come back later in the day, no clean room. Ok, not a biggie, housekeeping is still on the floor. I ask them to clean the room and the housekeeper says they dont have time today (she was very polite and we were conversing in Spanish), she wrote down the room number and I asked her if at least could we get some towels and water. We leave to talk to the front desk, they said they stop housekeeping after 2pm. We informed them we asked them to come back each day as the times were consistently early. She said she couldnt do anything really but would try. We wish someone would have said there was a timeline for the cutoff. Now, at 9:30 at night, we have to have them come to give us toilet paper because the room wasnt checked for the minimum amenities or trash removed for 2 days.Back from day 3, we decided to try the bar food at the Commons Lobby Bar. Wagyu sliders were beef patties.. no way it was wagyu beef, it was frozen small burger patties. The buns were still cool on the inside and were clearly frozen right before.The shower valve in the room is backwards (hot and cold are backwards), water pressure is WEAK! I really wanted to like this place. I am a frequent traveler and spend many a nights a year in a hotel room. Let me start by saying that I know not every room I get will be the best in the complex, and I am OK with that. Upon checking in, we found our room to be on the first floor, with the only window looking directly at the garbage man who went back and forth rolling the can every hour. From there, I found the phone to not work, the shower cartridge to be broken and not allow for proper water temperature, and our toilet was running constantly and loudly for the duration of my stay. As a property manager, I was able to fix the toilet myself one time, as we couldn’t sleep. After calling the front desk the next night at 11pm, and being told someone was coming to fix it, no one ever showed up, and the issue was never resolved. It kept us up and woke us up several times. I was also never told about the pool and hot tub being closed, as I found that out as I had my robe on and slipped my toes into a legit ice cold “hot tub”. Keep in mind, I did ask the front desk about the location of both, and was told nothing about them being closed. The first floor was freezing cold, and the doors to the outside rear of the property were often left wide open to the cold outside air. This might be because our room was located roughly 40 feet from the main Convention Room, which was jam packed with people all weekend. The location of our room could have been overcome in itself, but given all the other issues, I will never stay at this property again to say the least. As a final note, as I checked out of my room I had asked to speak with a Manager. Obviously, there wasn’t one, and I left my number and email with the employee and was told I would receive a phone call. I never received one, and I was withholding this post until then in hopes my mind would be changed. Two thumbs down.

I would never stay here again. I’ve traveled with my disabled mother. One day I called to get coffee to my room a little after 12pm. Forget it! Once breakfast is over, no more coffee. The same day, I ordered food from an outside source, and when it was delivered, the front desk, ignored letting me know. Food was too cold by the time I realized it was at the front desk. On a separate day, I started calling housekeeping and room service in the morning hours until after 5pm, WITHOUT ANYONE ANSWERING! I gave up. Too, I needed help from the housekeeper on my floor, and she didn’t understand a word of English. You can’t get food or drink at the little restaurant and bar right next to lobby until after 4pm.Too, you can’t bowl or eat in the bowling alley restaurant either, until after 4pm. This review is regarding their Thanksgiving brunch just yesterday. We were welcomed in to a cavern of a room which turns out to be there 500+ convention buffet room. Nothing intimate or warm about the atmosphere. I eventually found a menu online via Google search. Just ridiculously priced for what it is but unfortunately we didn’t have any other options because it was Christmas and every place outside the resort was closed.AMENITIESwhile the ice skating rink and bowling alley were fun and festive, the ice skating rink was unsafe at times due to over crowding and mistreatment of the ice. During the day the ice melted and there were pools of standing water on the rink. On several occasions there were groups of proficient skaters playing tag on the rink, chasing each other, weaving around other skaters trying to stay upright, and skating in the opposite direction. I expected the staff to stop them but they didn’t.The skates have no edge to them, making it really difficult to skate. If you have your own skates, I’d recommend bringing themWe had booked an unlimited skating package and it wasn’t until our 5th time to the rink that they finally gave us a VIP band - which meant that we needed to stand on line to get a new band the first 4 times we went skating. Also, included in our package was 2 hours at a fire pit with s’mores. No one told us we needed to reserve the table in advance and by the time we figured that out, there were no tables available and we didn’t get a chance to enjoy our s’more making.LOVED THE SPA!!! I’ll start off by saying that we don’t ever stay at boujie resorts so our expectations were low and we’re easy to please. we decided to go all out for a friends birthday. We spent damn near $1000 for two nights and was severely disappointed. The lobby is being renovated for The Meritage so check in alone was a 45 minute wait in a line that wrapped around the building in the cold with no heaters at the Grand Reserve. Only 2 people at the check in desk. When we finally got to check in we were told that although we reserved a room with 2 queen beds there were no rooms available and that due to the renovations being made the website we reserved the rooms on (Expedia) was incorrect. We were offered a King room with a sofa bed for the same price and after explaining that would absolutely not work they got us a second king room. Not ideal but that ended up working for us anyway so we’re thankful. The trek from the Grand Reserve to our room with no help or a luggage dolly was also a little rough. Everything was extremely expensive for low quality. Just pancakes, French toast, a banana and a single mimosa was $108. The French toast was slimey and the banana never even showed. Called for room service around 12am to be told “Room Service is not available at this hour” even though there’s a 11pm-6:30am Room Service menu. Husband saw a really fancy milkshake brought to someone at The Meritage’s “The Crush” lounge and when asked what it was the waitress said “A milkshake???” And walked off. Also our room was not cleaned when we got back from Wine Tasting, I had to call the front desk and request it at 4pm. Personally I could have spent half as much and gotten way more at another resort. the customer service here alone kind of put a huge damper on our birthday celebration. We did not feel like guests at all. Save your money and listen to the reviews, I promise it’s not worth it.UPDATE: removed another star because not only did we just come back to our room still not cleaned (again) there are now ants all over our belongings in the bathroom coming from the sink drain. I think I visited at the wrong time. Its shortly before the Christmas holiday and there is a lot of construction going on. This alone is not a bad thing but they have done a poor job of putting signage out. When I arrived, I walked all around the buildings with my luggage for about 20 minutes looking for a Lobby because the normal one is under renovation. There are no signs anywhere on the Meritage property pointing you to the new registration area (which is not on the Meritage property). When I finally got checked in, I was given a leaflet with keys and my room number which started with a 4. I walked across the street and found the elevator for my building but there was no 4th floor, so I wandered about looking for an elevator with access to the 4th floor when I finally found another guest who told me they did the same thing. The 4 means nothing - its the rest of the room number that matters, so I was actually on the 3rd floor. It would be great if the folks at check in would alert you of this. The following morning, I was hoping to sleep in, but awoke a little before 8 to the sound of a loud leaf blower outisde my window. So I made my way down to the little cafe in my building only to find out that it is closed (no construction, just closed) and that the nearest coffee or food was across the way on the other property behind the skating rink. So I had to go upstairs, bundle up, and hike about 5 minutes to get food.The hotel rooms are nice, but the relaxing short vacation I planned was not very relaxing.

Checked in and got an incorrect room. Went back and explained it was my husband’s birthday and that we were suppose to have a room with a balcony. Second room, smaller, no balcony and over looking service road when told it would have a view of pool and vineyards. Husband went down to switch our room to a balcony and was told our room had one, again, he reiterated that it didn’t. Paid to upgrade but still no balcony. Frustrating to have to argue to get a decent room that you pay good money for. Called for room service for breakfast was told there would be an hour and half wait for our food. My husband went to Blend Cafe for some breakfast food and was told they were out at 10 am and to go across the street to the Market. When we left our room at 11:30 am, we called to be sure to have it made up. We were out for over 4 hours and came back to a room that wasn’t touched. When my husband called down, he was asked when he called. He had to reiterate 11:30 am. No sorry, nothing, just a “fine”. Our dinner reservations at Village Bistro were set for 7:30 pm, when we arrived, we were told there were no tables. We had no problem waiting, but hostess made it sound as though we did not have a reservation which we assured her we did. Finally seated, the meal was a disappointment considering the price we paid.There are a few highlights. The vineyards are beautiful to walk through and Trinitas Wine Tasting room is a wonderful place to stop and have some wine and a snack. The associates there are friendly and knowledgeable.Overall, wish I had booked somewhere else for my husband’s birthday celebration. This resort is overpriced for their rooms and the service. What a disappointment!

A hotel that doesn’t care about its employees and more about its profit is bound to care less about their customers. They dont follow proper cleaning guidelines and only reset the room. Not having the sheer audacity to provide the proper equipment and safety gear for their employees who keep them up and running is despicable, their employees are the on the frontline daily in an environment where hundreds if not thousands or visitors are present who come from all around the country. They are at a higher risk of getting infected by the virus yet this hotel/owners dont care one bit. Did a wine tasting in Trinitas Cellars, even though it was empty, the service was slow, and too involved in their conversations.On the other hand, Spa staff and services provided compensated for the poor experience encountered previously. Yes, they did have a few staff members that exceeded and helped to ease the situation.

This resort looks better in person than the pictures that I saw online before our visit. Our room was nice, the bed was very comfortable, and the gym had what I needed. My only gripe is that there were no easily accessible electrical outlets by the bed, so we had to charge our devices across the room. Although it did not bother me, I could hear noise through the closed windows from the conference breakfast area near the pool in the morning, so you may not want a room facing the pool if you require a quieter stay.

This review is for the catering experience which is the worst I’ve ever experienced. I’ve stayed a couple times at the hotel and it’s always a great experience - hotel staff is wonderful. But a couple weeks ago we held our executive offsite meeting here, and I recommend to everyone that they stay away from this place for any catering / events.3 criteria: rooms / event space 5/10, food quality 1/10, catering managers ability to coordinate / cater 2/10.Rooms / event space: boardroom was set up nicely but tiny, ac didn’t work, we were told we had to pay for an outsourced IT service to set up and strike the space (total of 2 hours of labor) just for providing an hdmi to the tv, and we were charged a last minute 25% service fee on the base room rateFood: we weren’t expecting a lot, but nobody in our party was able to finish the ~$70 a person boxed lunches because it tasted so horrible. Chicken that looked, smelled, and tasted like the ones at subway, crusty out of the can salad dressing, stale bread for the sandwiches - bad reviews from the entire crew. If you are going to require a F&B minimum please make the food palatable.Catering manager: I was hoping the catering manager could help provide recommendations for our events and meals because the website is so hard to navigate, but unless it was about adding another item onto the invoice, response always took a few days. Ideally it’d be nice to see the menu for the cooking class a few days in advance and have a recommended list of wines to pair with it. It’s not like I didn’t ask - just no help / response. What value are you adding here?Further, they missed 3 of our boxed lunches - no apology or anything. The manager had no idea this happened until I told her the next day. Mistakes happen but disappointed most of all in the response.Overall, nice venue but it looks like it was Day 1 on the job for the catering manager and until she is replaced I would recommend staying away from this venue for any events.

I was here for the Blue Note music venue, saw Dwight Yokam, he was so awesome! The venue was very cool, surrounded on 3 sides by the hotel, the open side had the stage. There was a grocery store, one restaurant and two food trucks. The highlight was the multiple winerys offering glass and bottles with cute little outside seating areas, all with views of the stage. Other than that the seating was well organized. Overall would go back, Im sure staying at the hotel is an even better experience.

At a glance everything seems to be in order for a vacation resort, but as time goes by flaws will appear.After being respectfully greeted upon my Sunday arrival I “pre-checked” in and was told I would receive a text when my room was ready.Having some time to kill, our group thought it would be nice to relax by the “adult” pool only to find that it was already consumed by personal Bluetooth speakers and guests that had come from a bottomless mimosa brunch.We went off site to grab a lunch.Now around 3pm, our listed check in time, I approached the front desk assuming that rooms would be ready and that their text message system was flawed. At this same time I noticed an influx of guests pondering around the lobby with stemmed glasses. Unfortunately, rooms were not ready and I was offered a glass of champagne for my understanding. I don’t drink.Our group managed to secure a spot on a lobby couch and set up shop. I just wanted a shave and shower after having a long travel day.Guests continued to arrive and fill the area with their confused faces.This respectable hotel lobby now felt like an airport security line.The staff were scrambling to keep guests at bay. Bottles of champagne lined the front desk and there was a woman who assumed the role of a bartender. Some of the elderly folk began to nap or fall asleep in their chairs.I FINALLY got assigned a room around 5pm and I was lucky. Many other people were still waiting, giving up hope and just getting drunk at this point.The room was mediocre and cleaned as well as a Holiday Inn on the side of a highway. No courtesy water but two empty bags of chips behind the nightstand. Housekeeping has walked in on me twice in the last hour.I was staying here for free as my company paid for my stay. If I was personally paying full price I would be livid. If I was with my partner, I would have wanted to leave.

This is such a different experience in real life than what is presented online. On the website, this appears to be a tranquil setting. In reality, its a huge, bustling hotel located in a business park. It was far from relaxing.Workers were loudly setting up tables and other equipment outside well into the night -- I called the front desk at 10:30pm, and it stopped a little bit after that. The work and loud noise started the next morning at 6:00am on the nose. I understand that work needs to happen, just not that late or that early!The bathrobes were a nice touch, but one of them had huge makeup stains on it. Theres no way the person hanging it in the closet did not see the stains. The front desk simply told me to leave it with my used towels for the day, with no apology. My bathroom had trash on the floor from the previous guest.Im bummed that the venue for our work retreat wasnt at all what I was expecting, and Im also glad I didnt tack on an extra day or two to this stay -- it wouldnt have been worth it.

I finally drug the trays into the middle of the hallway to make it obvious and she picked it up and moved in 2 doors down. What!!The pool area is dirty and you have to ask if you want any old glasses and food trays removed. I will say they were friendly at the pool, just understaffed. And, watch your significant others because there are girls propositioning the guys everywhere! Buyer Beware. What started out as a wonderful girls trip for me an my best friend has left me very disappointed with my stay. I will start by saying that the Resort itself was nice, but when it was time to check out I was completely shocked. I booked a standard king room with a confirmed rate of $485 a night, which is considered a luxury to me. When it was time to check out from my three night stay, my bill was over $2,300. My first night I was charged $599, followed by the next two night at over $700/night. I was shocked to say the least. I booked my room back in August online. I did not take part in any of the resort amenities (Spa), as we spent our trip exploring Napa. My best friend and I booked at the same time. My best friend decided to upgrade her stay and got a one bedroom suite, yet somehow my room rate per night was higher than hers. I immediately asked to speak with management and get an explanation. I was told I would be contacted by the end of that evening. I had to head to the airport.When I finally arrived home that evening, I had not received an email or call. So I called again. I was told the same thing, management would contact me first thing in the morning. No call. I called the next day, again and was unable to speak with management. After the third call I figured I was being blown off which is bad service. I will not give the names of the individuals I have spoken with, but I have been blown off on three seperate occassions, by three different people. I have decided, I will not let this experience cast a shadow on my lovely visit to Napa. It was wonderful, everything I expected and more. That being said, I will never stay at the Meritage again, nor will a recommend it to family, friends, or associates when they inquire about my trip.

Across from the Meritage there is a groceries store that sells charcuterie boards and wine. The ultimate romantic dinner. There is live music some weekends. This place has big halls for conventions, but I was just here relaxing. Downtown Napa is 10min away. There is the nice restaurant in the property. Overall a great stay.PS The blinds in the room need to be replaced and some light bulbs were off. The hallway carpet can either be replaced or professionally washed. The Vineyards were well taken care off.

I drive for a chauffeur business. So, I havent stayed here. But, I can tell you, the staff is always friendly, there is plenty of parking, the exterior of the establishment is always clean, and there are plenty of lodgings. I have heard many great things from guests, about the amenities (spa, pool, gym, etc.). And the clientele ranges from newlyweds and vacation goers to return corporate function folks. Many of whom are return guests. This obviously speaks for itself! The location of the establishment is close to both the freeway and downtown napa, so travel to points of interest is rather easy. That being said, try to plan travel outside of commute hours as the main road can get a little packed (will not affect ingress/egress to resort though, as it is blocks away).Happy travelling!

This was our 2nd time staying here and this time there was a huge comfy chair that was missing from our room. The toilet paper holder was loose and broken. The water pressure in the shower was so weak and the stream of water was ridiculous. Furniture had nicks on it. In the bar/ bowling alley the bar chairs has material wearing off of each one. In the spa the shower water pressure was the same, weak which sucked because there was a overhead, hand held and jets which all were weak. The hot tub was not really a hot tub water was not hot just a little warm and there were no jets. The young ladies who showed us around in the spa did not take the time to fully show the accommodations near the hot tub which should have been pointed out like the face towels in ice.The good side is that the valets were welcoming and kind. The bartenders were accommodating, Sean was excellent with his skills. The steam room at the spa was wonderful. I have stayed at Vino Bella which is next door, rooms way more welcoming. We have had our fill of Meritage. Been there done that!

Attended a Blue Note Concert at Meritage. The venue was awesome, very intimate compared to the megasize stadiums nearby. Our seats were spectacular. There were food/drink options on-site consisting of a bar ($20 for a mixed drink), a food truck, a food table, a wine area, and a market that sold a wide assortment of items (items outrageously priced....coffee $8 per cup, $4 candy bar). From the moment we checked in it did not feel like a four star experience.The biggest disappointment was our experience with the spa. I booked a couples massage for my fiancé and I, which was what we were looking forward to the most. Unfortunately, the massage was not great and felt really rushed. When I booked the treatment over the phone I was told we could use the steam room and hot tub after our treatment but the facilities were closed when we got out of our massages. Had the worst experience here and would not recommend this hotel at ALL. On top of the rooms and property being somewhat outdated, dingy, and old, the customer service is appallingly terrible. Upon check-in the first night, our room was 81 degrees and the A/C didnt work. I called the front desk several times to ask to switch rooms or even just get a fan to help cool down and every single time, someone said they would call back to offer solutions and NEVER did. I called multiple times throughout the night and after the most miserable night of sleep at a constant 81 degrees, no one was apologetic or even seemed mildly concerned. After complaining again in the morning, we were able to switch rooms (new room wasnt available until later in the day), and was told that 1 night would be refunded to make up for the issue. Now, its weeks after I checked out and big surprise, no refund and every time I call I get told something different or that someone will call me back and they never do. Save your money, time, and stress and stay at one of the many other much nicer properties in Napa where they actually care about their customers and providing a reasonable customer experience in a building with working air conditioning in the middle of summer!!!

I felt so bad for the staff because everyone was constantly complaining because the hotel is in such bad condition. The pool filters are most likely broken resulting in thousands of bugs and hair in the pool. Elevators smell like fire and they filter it out through a pipe in the stair way. This consists of timeshares and has a separate pool area for it. Very popular with families. Lots of kids in the pool. A/C worked great on such a hot weekend. Parking for the resort is hard to find when there’s a concert or event happening.The grounds are beautifully landscaped with drought tolerant non fruiting olive trees and grasses.The cafe has coffee drinks but honestly just skip it and go to Starbucks or something. I had it on my bucket list after seeing photos online and now that I had the pleasure to stay I can honestly say it’s even more beautiful in person .Staying here was a dream . Beautiful property, the views of the vineyard from the pool and the balcony suite I had were amazing ! Definitely recommend to get a vineyard view room . I really enjoy staying at this resort. Great hospitality and the rooms are clean. The resort vineyards is nice and the spa facilities is uniquely in a cave. The bowling alley has good finger foods and full bar but the lane rentals are a bit pricey. The on-site cafe has all the coffee fixings. Across the street has wine tastings and small market to grab essentials. I’ve also stayed at the sister property next door at Vino Bello and enjoyed the spacious suites with full kitchen. The Meritage Resort has a lot of amenities and meets all my needs in one resort. Highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Napa Valley.

This so-called hotel has no luxury. The first night we were there we ate at the hotel restaurant and we both had screaming diarrhea by morning. And because of this we had to cancel all of our spa services. The room was filthy I flipped over the cushion and it looked like a bloody crime scene. We went to the pool it was dirty and moldy the towels were moldy. When I booked this room I asked for it to be away from the parking lot so they gave me a room right next to the parking lot. There was noise all night long nobody cared. And then to add insult to injury they charged me one price at checkout and then charged me a more expensive rate onto my credit card I called corporate I called the desk I called the hotel they dont care. And then when I got home I had a UTI in my 55 years Ive never had a UTI the doctor told me it must have been from the hotel pool. The staff are all smiles and no help but corporate is even worse to charge me one price at checkout and then charge me more on my credit card. This is not a hotel for couples or families this is a corporate retreat so dont go here at all you will be made sick you will be told its your fault you will be given no help and worse youll go to UTI do not give this hotel your credit card pay with cash or they will charge your credit card more than theyre supposed to.

I had a business trip here for a corporate event back in February 2023. I arrived a day early to get settled and unfortunately had quite a terrible experience on my way to the resort. Long story short, my rental car was broken into just outside of San Francisco - shattered window, stolen items, and all. Traveling with other work associates, we arrived at the Meritage, with glass still filled in the back seat (we tried cleaning it as best as we could, of course the police were of no help)… However upon arriving, I explained everything to the bell hop and front desk and they treated us with such care and complete kindness. It truly warmed my heart to see how genuinely concerned they were for us. If I could give 10 stars for service, I absolutely would. From the valet and concierge to the housekeepers, each employee was so kind and accommodating. A nice touch was the daily water bottle deliveries (Boxed Water Is Better) that we much appreciated. Ive been visiting The Meritage and have been a wine club member for years! The last time I stayed at the resort was pre-COVID, so I decided to book a few nights before the holiday. I made the reservation and asked for a room in the Bordeaux building - the newest renovated space and beautiful rooms.Unfortunately, the person checking us in was not friendly from the start. I should have asked her if everything was okay. She gave us the room number and I let her know that I requested the newer area. I paid for a vineyard view and I suppose technically we had one, but we couldnt really take pictures of the view for obvious reasons. The bathroom sink was clogged and wouldnt drain. The toilet seat was very loose and hard to sit on.As we moved throughout the resort, the employees were saying how dead they were. Apparently, this is their slow season and Im curious if the resort just didnt want to book anyone in the Bordeaux section.We went to the spa and its really well-maintained and peaceful! They have the best robes too. The spa employees were great.I still love this place and Ill be back. Im going to chalk it up to a bad check-in experience. Im curious if I could have actually had the room I requested or if this person was just having a bad day. Either way, I was really disappointed in the room.

Staying for Thanksgiving weekend. We are a group of 4 families and have four different rooms. We have all had at least one extremely poor experience here. So far we’ve seen a mouse 🐁 running through the restaurant as we were eating lunch. One bed had sheets only half way down - hard to describe but the bottom sheet only covered the top of the mattress, no sheets below where your knees would be. There is mold on the shower ceiling in one of our rooms. The walls are super thin between rooms. I know that the person next to my room has a snoring problem and a cough because I could hear them snoring and coughing through the wall. The ceilings are also thin. The person above us must have kids or they are very active. There was running constantly above us, literally until 2-3 am. Very loud and caused us to not be able to sleep. One of our groups stayed in a two story suite, their refrigerator leaked water and they had other numerous problems. We also had a group use the spa where they were embarrassed by the spa staff - again too long to go into but the resort was in the wrong about how they handled a situation. If you are considering staying here, I recommend going with your next choice. Do not believe what you see on their website. That is not what you will get when you stay here.

As a working mother, I needed to pump and ship my breast milk back home during my stay at Meritage (09/11 - 09/13). Before checking out on Wednesday, I entrusted the front desk with the Milk Stork package to hand it to Fedex (I left the package at the front desk between 7 and 7:30AM). And yet you forgot to ship this package for 2 days, resulting in the loss of two days worth of painful pumping effort and hundreds of dollars of Milk Stork shipping fee. Stayed here for a week on business. The hotel and the grounds are beautiful, but the complex is centered around accommodating large business/corporate events. It would feel awkward vacationing here with multiple corporate events taking place each week.Unfortunately, the hotel has a significant water problem—water leaks and plumbing problems seem to be prevalent in many different buildings on-site. Several of our staff had complaints. I asked the hotel staff about this and they mentioned they are beginning a massive renovation to finally make all the repairs necessary to resolve these issues.On-site parking tends to take up a lot of space within the complex. What a great experience! We rented a poolsidecabana for the day. It included 6 lounge chairs, couch, two comfy chairs, sparkling bottle of wine, and sodas. It was immaculate and service was terrific. We ordered lunch, which came out hot and delicious. Great value, too. Half the price of the Coppola property!

Modern resort with most anything you need. Nice grounds, vineyards. And they have restored coffee and tea in the lobby. Also, theres a cafe with nice stuff to eat, Blend.

Hotel staff were accommodating and went the extra mile to make my family’s stay comfortable. When service was slow, they made up for it by offering some dining credit. While some of the property needs updating, it was great for a quick getaway and we enjoyed relaxing in the many beautiful outdoor areas that the resort has to offer.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel however, we were on the second floor and the people above us just kept walking around stomping for a very long time in the daytime and night time and couldn’t enjoy staying in the room much. We did inform the front desk but still the walking around stomping still went on even after 10 PM.

There was no hot water in my room for two days and no maid service after the first night. I called the front desk and was transferred to Housekeeping where no one picked up. Staff was indifferent to helping fix things. I got a barely mumbled apology when I mentioned this at checkout.I was here for a corporate meeting and the first day there was no heat in our meeting room.Im still getting spam emails from the Meritage despite continually hitting unsubscribe.Im very disappointed in the quality of service I experienced at the Meritage. I understand things were difficult during the pandemic and standards were lowered, but theres no way the Meritage can justify the prices theyre charging for services delivered now that travelers are back.

Victoria at the front desk is amazing. She helped me the day after Thanksgiving this past year. Her service was top notch and I told her I would be back for my birthday. When I checked in for my reservation last weekend, she was at the front desk, and remembered me. Again her service was amazing. I want to keep going back just because of Victoria.We had a fabulous weekend filled with facials, massages, bowling, swimming/hot tub, and great bar food. We also enjoyed some of the tasting rooms across the street. Overall such a great weekend. We will be back.

Employees are completely incompetent.Charged us and another family member for the same room and is having trouble refunding us. Every person I know has had issues with the their stay. Although a beautiful resort the incompetence of the employees sour the entire experience.

Beautiful homebase, it is a big property, they have a Vineyard at the back where you can walk and reach the statue of the grape crusher. They have good food, good people and sometimes they have events within the property. You can actually have a wine tasting in the cave below the vineyard on the property.Somewhat a drive to town BUT they have a shuttle to take you to downtown Napa and back the whole day. Beautiful place and will sirely be back.The only downside is the parking. They have too many rooms with too little parking.

Never leave reviews but figure this is the only way to get our folio! Checked out 3 weeks ago- can’t get anyone on the phone to send it. Very odd we can’t get a receipt?! Horrible customer service and truly shameful this is apart of American Express’ hotel portal - will be discussing our experience with them. Also this NOT a 4 star hotel. This is a 2 star hotel and needs to be reevaluated. Send us our receipt!!!

The resort may be beautiful, but I recommend NEVER booking here if your plans change. After over 3 hours of waiting on hold to even speak to someone, I have just been hung up on for the 6th time, without even a hello. I get a recording stating thank you for calling the meritage..., wait on hold for about 15-20 min, then am disconnected. I honestly find it quite difficult to believe the property could have great customer service (as reviews state) when they fail a simple task of answering a phone call.

Updated:. Back for summer very different from ice skating and igloo experience last visit.Gorgeous grounds and pool was so nice. Plenty of shade with umbrellas and cabanas, important for those us that burn easily. I think I was in the minority as everyone else was quite tan and soaking up pure 🌞 on a very hot day. Service was great. B you can get food and drinks delivered while in the pool. You scan a QR code menu is basic for food and might be better ordering from them directly when theyre coming through. Plenty of parking. Quite an enjoyable visitBooked the Igloo and Ice Skating experience to start off the new year. Super cold so got the whole winter experience and magical.Got a specialty cocktail and you can scan to get food or drinks brought to your igloo.Igloo came with bottle of champagne and they had the ice bucket and glasses all set upIn between they disinfected the igloos.You did have to make reservations as there were limited igloosAlso had fire pits for smoresService was great would definitely do again

I liked the resort with its location close to downtown Napa and the options for the gym and pools. The check in wasnt as pleasant and welcoming as I wished it was. But overall great. Plenty of parking, and the room is comfortable. I definitely will be back

My husband and I stayed at the Meritage for two nights for our minimoon. Jeremy at the front desk was amazing— even giving us a bottle of champagne and upgrade to celebrate! Our pup also got great treatment and a goodie bag and dog bed she loved. The view from the room was beautiful and quiet. Downstairs though, there was a bowling alley so the party wasn’t far. The property is huge and there is a lot of outdoor space across the road (lots of eating areas, a market and dog relief area). My favorite part was walking the trails with our pup. She loved it and the wildflowers and trees were beautiful!

This bill itself as a luxury spa, but it is more a midlevel hotel. Beds with short sheets so you are sleeping half on the matress pad and no hot water in the morning shower dont contribute to a relaxing stay. The food is OK, good enough, but if you want a nice meal you want to go off property. It works for a business meeting spot, but if your goal is a luxury spa escape, it isnt here

Beautiful resort, but for the money we spent we didn’t get what we paid for.The best things about the resort is the spa and restaurants and sister resort across the street. With all the tasting rooms and additional pool, etc.We had a 2 bedroom suite and we’re woken up each day by staff slamming doors and pushing carts outside our room. At 6 am. The vineyard view was lovely tho. Our view was wonderful except for the exhaust which filled our room each day from all the huge trucks they parked and left running as they did events outside our room. So we got nice lungfuls of exhaust if we stayed in our room.We also really did not appreciate waking up at 6 am every day w slamming doors and loud carts outside our room. On our mental health retreat at a resort spa. The staff gave us a $100 credit. Which for what we paid was nothing.I will say… the rooms were fairly nice. They will need Maintainance soon but swanky. I loved having a full kitchen.The tasting rooms on site is perfect for us. We visited 4 of them. All wonderful.The spa - you must visit Richard at the spa! Wonder massage therapist, but also, therapy for the soul. He is a wonderful human and I hope I get a chance to work with him again. He really helped me with some muscle issues I was having w my arms and shoulders. We had a wonderful conversation as well which I will remember always. I highly recommend Richard for your massage tech!!!All the restaurants on site are great. Kylie, I think she’s a manager, at the front desk was awesome to recommend some great stuff for us to do on our first day and we really appreciated her. She helped us maximize our time while there.I just wish they would have made it right w us when we discovered where all the noise and issues was coming from so early in the morning. I felt like it was not appropriate given how expensive the stay was. All in all, the staff everywhere else was super helpful and kind. Which is why I still give this 3 stars.
