Amazing food! We absolutely loved everything we ordered!For starters we had beef, ham&cheese and entrana fried empanadas which were all amazing (our favorite was the beef).Then we took the parilla chica and milanese napolitana that came with mashed potatoes and fries… OMG so good! The entrées are very large, we could barely finish them…We had to try some of their desserts as well so we ordered the flan, which was too eggy for us, and the torta borracha which had the perfect combination of alcohol and sweetness.I wish I had more photos!We honestly can’t wait to come back again and try some more dishes.

Its a bakery and restaurant and market at the same time, so do not come here for a quiet meal because it wont be. However, the food is delicious, and the service is friendly! Just for the dulce de leche crepe, I would drive the 30-40 minutes to eat here!

Yesterday I was in Sepulveda for an appointment and my wife and I decided to eat before we returned home. So we both searched for a great choice and decided to give this place a shot. From the moment we entered, and on every single bite we ate, we knew we would be back for more. The menu items for meals are so tasty and reminded me of what my great grandmother cooked, but (sorry Grandma) better. Then we sampled the pastries which were “world class” and even purchased more to go. We will be back, and I can already taste it in my mind. Glenn

Come for the Food, but get it to go.They charge you more for the desserts, empenada, etc if youre eating it there.May 2023, Sunday at 1pm.Chaos, hustle and bustle, noisy, echoing madness.Order by phone, and get it to go! The food is great, but...1. What a waste of floor space. Yes, its open and airy, plenty of room to walk around. They should get rid of the booths, and just use regular table and chairs. They could easily seat another 20 people in EACH of the 2 dining areas.2. Service: they have 1 waitress, who is 9 months pregnant running around for 8 tables in the dining area up front.To the left, theres another 8 tables with 1 waitress. It seems like theres 1 more waitress who floats between the 2 dining areas where needed.There are 2 bus boys, 1 host? and 1 manager for the entire place.3. Parking? On Sunday? Lol. Non existent. The restaurant is in one of the busiest strip malls on Sepulveda. You have to park on side streets, or wait for-e-ver for a space.If you make it this far, past the 20-25 minute wait for a table:Food: Delicious.1. The chimichuri sauce is fresh, bright, snappy, greeny/grassy with a punch of garlic and sour.2. The red tomato sauce feels like an Italian bruschetta. Its smooth, refreshing, cooling.3. Empanada filling is stewed to meld all the flavors. Very savory, umami, slightly salty. The meat one feels like ground beef, the chicken ones have chunky texture.4. Desserts: the tiramisu is my fav. Pricey for a slice though.. $10 yikes.The chocolate mousse on vanilla cake topped with a strawberry is divine. Not too sweet, very chocolaty, moist.The napoleon was good, if youre into those. Its like an Alfajora and a Napoleon together.Cheesecake tasted the slightest bit over cooked in the oven.5. The bread is fresh, soft, chewy. Its like a freshly baked french baguette. Quality is there.6. Manolo and the Argentina platters: meats are cooked how you like them. I usually do medium, otherwise the steak can become tuff.The meats/steaks are great. Tender, juicy.a. Beef ribs (big) have a big beef flavor, and includes a nice hunk of meat, like its own steak.b. Cut the Hanger steak against the grain to keep it tender. Otherwise its chewy if you cut it along the grain.c. Sausage and Blood sausage: has a unique spice flavor.. is it cumin or allspice, mace? If there was any fennel, I didnt notice it.Ill be back, when its less noisy, to pickup an order to go. 😉

I wouldnt recommend this place to try Argentinian food, its just a place that cooks everything just like every other restaurant, they use the same meat except maybe for the chorizo, chinchulines or morcilla.I order a chroripan because its hard to miss on it, but I really wouldnt come back just for that.My wife had a couple of empanadas that werent bad but not the best either.We visited because I wanted to try things that I havent tried before like mollejas and a fugazzeta pizza, which is in the menu that they have on Google maps and one of the reasons I picked the place, the problem is that the actual menu in the restaurant is not the same.After asking, the waitress told me that they could make a fugazzeta but they were going to upcharge for it so I said it was ok, it really disappointed me because it was just a premade pizza with cheese and onions, not even a good amount as its supposed to.The mollejas were ok but not grilled Im pretty sure they were deep fried.The thing that I liked is that the actual mercado has a lot of Argentinian stuff I bought yerba mate, they have beer, candy and Argentinian cuts.

Best way to celebrate the year’s end! Tasty parrilla chica, ravioli and “chinchulines” paired with a delicious glass of red wine! You’ll definitely find the best meat in the city here! Was so excited to finally try the empanadas here. It’s a restaurant and market. They have most of their empanadas already cooked and in a warmer except the ham and cheese ones which are deep fried and supposed to take 10 minutes. Unfortunately the 10 min turned into 45 minutes and without an apology just rudeness from the older women who took our order. There was one who hustling and did apologize but unfortunately it appeared that she never placed our order with the kitchen and then finally placed it 30 minutes later. Once we got our order she didn’t even give us chimichuri sauce.

Everything is perfect the food, the service, the restaurant has amazing food and also the bakery. It doesn’t exist anything bad but they increased the prices notoriously and also included in the bill a big percent for tips. In the past it was cheaper than now. The food is good I still going but it’s really expensive.

🇦🇷 ARGENTINA (via Eat the World Los Angeles) - Despite all of the other options, you will find it hard to come here and not order one of the parrillas, which are constantly coming out of the kitchen and being delivered to just about every table. This is the symbol of Argentinian food, and for good reason. Argentina is proud of its meats, and Mercado Buenos Aires is a great place to sample this culture.

Worst experience in this place in years!! This place used to be one of our favorites. Ive been driving from Calabasas to this restaurant many many times, Pilar (from Argentina) used to be our server and then when she left we got Jeanette, both amazing and very attentive. I have to say that Jeanettes specialty coffees are the best! With the years this place started to go down in quality and menu options they got rid off many original argentinian dishes but still wasnt a bad idea to dive all the way down there and enjoy whatever was left on the menu and try their wine selections that sometimes were very good for the bottles price, I never minded the extra $ 7 they charge for opening a bottle to enjoy it with my meal even when was purchased there during our mealtime.Today the whole story and good memories with family and good food were vanished with the TERRIBLE SERVICE that the stars of the night (Pablo and Edgard) gave us.We got into a busy restaurant and we saw both of the servers chatting with a couple, (both of them saw us coming in and at the same time turn down to keep talking with those other clients) neither of them greeted us but as we know the place we helped ourselves and found the only available table by the window, as I said it was busy and by the grocery store area was only 1 table left . At that time of the day, sunlight comes totally on top of that area because there is no blinds or anything to avoid this little issue.In few minutes Edgard, our server, came over with a tablet on hand and asked «are you sure you want to sit here?» referring his question to the sunlight that minutes after we werent able to handle and we decided to move to the table next to us that got open few minutes before.We didnt care and pushed to the side the coffee dishes, check and dirty napkins because we thought that any of the restaurant crew members would come to clear those things.A lady came but didnt clear those items, simply dropped our appetizer despite that saw me pushing dirty dishes to the side to e able to accommodate ourselves and make room for our drinks, but she didnt care about it, sure! shes there to run food.We ordered our steak medium rare and as usual it came over cooked (they serve it in this iron hot plates that over cook the dish if not delivered immediately) so we couldnt let Edgard (our server) know about it because he didnt come back even to pick up his check or the dirty items,from the people sitting there before us.A lot of time went by so by the middle of the meal I decided that it was enough waiting for someone to come and clear the dirty dishes from the table and went to ask our server to take care of it. He came over and blame the busser because he went to take his break in the middle of the rush hour and he couldnt handle to come and check our satisfaction, he and the other server were totally overwhelmed, the manager came to clear the table and Edgard came to clear our empty dishes and offer dessert, we told him that we were thinking about it and told him that well let him know. Well after several minutes of waiting for him to order dessert my wife had to stand up and ordered our dessert to the guy on the counter who is there for take out orders. Few minutes later Edgard dropped off dessert asking if we ordered it. He dropped the check and didnt come back to.pick it up we went to the cashier to get help but everybody was running circles like chickens with no heads.I noticed owners want to step up giving a little make over to the building face and giving tablets to the servers, but if you dont have a professional team it wont happen. Im thinking if really is worth the time driving to a place that dont care about their customers and just because the place gets packed they are going to make bank anyway.Hopefully this situation gets solved because the quality of the food we care and Iike the people working there and even the owner has been pretty attentive recommending good wines during our many previous visits to this place.

This is a ticktock hyped place. And it’s excellent. Fresh empanada of all variety’s and great grilled meats. The staff are very friendly. This location is both a restaurant and a market. You can come in have a sit down meal, or grab coffee and snacks from the counter. You can also buy fresh meat. Highly recommend Mercado Buenos Aires although it’s a short drive north of LA. As typical of LA parking may be a bit tight but wait a few mins and a space will open up or just park on the street.

The true test of an empanada maker is the beef empanada, and these are quite competent empanadas. And, like, why would you be surprised if theyre rude? Theyre Argentines. They dont want to be working and consider themselves too good to be working. They dont really care what you think because they are the chosen people. Now more than ever with the Pope and their third World Cup.The food is not bad, the meat is not great but not terrible, and the empanadas are an A-. What more do you want? Mafalda is all over the bathrooms, and you can purchase alfajores and Mantecol. It is a genuine Bonaerense experience. Over there, when you step into an establishment, it could go either way.

Food was delicious and the service was great. Everyone was very nice and attentive.The borracho cake (I think that is what it is called) is wine and caramel. So soft and sweet. I had the Pollo al Limon (grilled chicken with lemon) and it was juicy with their mashed potatoes that were really more like whipped potatoes (puree). Fries were a bit bland but the bread they brought out was soft and warm.They have meats and cheeses and other deli items. Very cute place. Definitely will be going back.

Hidden gem. Hole in the wall. How the lines arent out the door like other L.A. hotspots like Howlin Rays befuddles me. Ive been coming here for years, and Im always still in awe of how good the breads and meats are. The empanadas are fresh and hot. They have maybe 7 different fillings, some vegetarian, some meats. I got a spinach one and a beef one. Both were amazing. The fresh bread they serve with the olive oil mix is hot and crisp on the outside, steaming soft on the inside. Onto the main course. They have a tablesized charcoal platter with mixed grilled meats. There are several options for 2+ servings. I picked the mixed grill that was around $45 that included Short rib steak like the 3 eye slices you get at Korean BBQs, a flank steak like they serve at Brazilian BBQs, and blood sausage, pork, and pork sausage, and some intestine that is actually really tasty. The meats are very high quality. The flank is so tender and juicy, it rivals any steak this side of the Pacific ocean. Its amazing how a lean piece of meat is this good. The short rib steaks are cut thick, much thicker than any Korean BBQ Ive ever been to. Once again, top notch. The blood sausage works really well with a side of rice, as does the intestine. Both things I normally dont eat, but I eat them here. The pork slices are kind of a throw in, and Id use them as filler if youre still hungry. With bread, sides, and appetizer, this easily serves 4. If youre focused on meat and meat alone, a 2some will leave absolutely stuffed. A+++

Argentine authentic meals and treats! My wife, who is Argentinian, says that the alfajores are the best she has had in the U.S.The chimichurri has the perfect amount of kick as well! Chorizo sandwich (choripan) or something off the grill are highly recommended!Parking is limited but there is street parking for free around the restaurant within a short walking distance.Enjoy!

I am Argentinean, and this is my FAVOURITE outside of Argentina. I’ve tried the milanesa and muzzarella pizza, which are very good. I just wish they had fugazzeta, which is my favorite pizza in Argentina. My husband always gets la parrillada chica. Most places don’t offer parrilladas for 1 person. Their empanadas are good too, and I love that they offer empanadas de carne cortadas a cuchillo. I would like them to have some more pasta options too, like ravioles, which are very popular in Argentina. The facturas are the absolute BEST!! Taste just like in Argentina. We tried the vigilantes, but I hope to try more next time. We also tried their alfajor marplatense, which was phenomenal. Everyone is always so nice, and I feel transported back home. We don’t live in LA, but this is a must-stop every time we go. I love all the products they offer too. Parking can be challenging.

The foods authentic and prominent flavors effortlessly transport you to Argentina. I always come here for the empanadas and take them to go but today I decided to sit down and eat the Parilla Argentina w/chicken and it was one of the best decisions Ive made. The food was cooked to perfection and the waiter was among one of the best, and the atmosphere was casual yet entertaining for a family and/or friends.They have many options from plates of foods, salads, sandwiches and desserts which all look and sound amazing.Aside from the restaurant they also serve as a market and bakery, selling genuine Argentinean produce, foods, desserts, pastries and coffee beverages.One minor inconvenience is parking! Mercado Buenos Aires is located in a small shopping center and shares a small parking lot with about 5 other businesses. If you want to enjoy the food hot and fresh I would recommend arriving early before the breakfast, lunch or dinner rush. If you dont want to deal with inconvenient parking I would recommend taking your food to go but either way its worth every bit.

The food is fantastic! We started with beef empanadas; which were seasoned perfectly and baked until golden brown; then we had their Churrasco sandwich with avocado. The steak was so moist and tender it melted in your mouth.The homemade desserts are to die for! I guarantee you wont leave without trying one of the many displayed. I recommend their newest creation. I dont remember the name, but I do remember it was one of the best I ever had! A buttery cake soaked in wine and layered with a creamy caramel filling, whipped cream, and topped with caramelized sugar. Delicious! 😋

The ENTRAÑA (skirt steak) is the very best meat you will ever find in the entire state of California and maybe the USA ….. they cooked it very good, once you try the skirt steak you never go back to any other meat . The Cheese empanadas are very good too . The service is good, the food is awesome, the atmosphere is great, I always enjoy eating my steak and watching a Futbol game on their TV’s too …. It Makes it feel like I’m home, your can also order the Skirt steak with the Carnicero/ BUTCHER …. They have top of the line meat 🥩 and steaks 🍖, they also have lots of delicious desserts 🧁 🍮 …. What can I say about this place is just Great!, Food is Delicious, the atmosphere is great and the only bad thing I could say it that is not near my place and youll be lucky if you find a parking spot in front of the restaurant.WARNING! - If you are not a Meat eater THIS IS NOT YOUR PLACE!Im not even sure if the serve Vegan dishes, because I go there for the meat, they have pasta and other dishes but I never paid attention to that section of the menu.Here are my Tips!- BE PATIENTIif you are starving dont get frustrated if yo cant find parking in the small shopping mall, youll be lucky if you find one, if not try to park on the Sepulveda Blvd side, or on Covello St. I once parked 5 blocks away from the place, It was a 5 mins walk and when I got there I was hungrier than ever, also at the end of you dinner your digestive system will thank you after walking back to your car.- Once you have successfully parked your car, go to the front if the place is full make sure to write your name down on the waiting list, Ive seen people cut to the front of the line that when Im hungry that makes me mad as hell.- As soon as you get to your table, I suggest you order an Empanada they have Ham & Cheese, Meat, Chicken, Cheese, spinach, corn, tuna, cheese and onion, or sausage make sure to top it off with some Chimichurri.- Make sure not to eat a lot of the recently baked bread with butter, youll be stuff before your main dish arrives. ;)- After devouring the Empanada take your time to select the piece of meat youll like to try and if youre a good eater youll be licking your fingers.Enjoy!About my experience.- I discovered the Mercado Buenos Aires back in 1999 when I was working in Van Nuys, the very first week my co-workers took me to lunch and since then Ive been a regular, or at least I try to dine there as often as I can.- Back in the days the deli area was bigger and they have less tables, We usually ate during the weekdays so it wasnt too crowded, on weekends you might have to wait up to an hour to get a table but trust me the wait is worth it.Hope you like this place as much as I do!

Started with their delicious coffee, its made latte style but its balanced well so the taste of the coffee comes through . Ordered some meat dishes which were very good as well. It is a place to enjoy every bite of the entire menu. Personally I prefer the churrasco but the choripàn and empanadas are super delicious. The salsa criolla and the chimichurri really give the bread a superb taste. Also, their desserts are delicious and the service has always been outstanding. Surprisingly I saw that they were charging those who stay to watch the game an extra $20 per person beside the bill for those who have a table! So you pay for what you eat and $20 extra per person!! If I knew nothing of Argentina Id still eat here, the food is so, so good. I love me some milanesa, and these guys make the best, hands down. Their steak is amazing. Chicken dishes, delicious. The facturas, authentic, and like I said, they take me straight back to BS.AS. So good.Plus, they have a deli, lots of dulces. And, of course, you can pick up some mate.

The most legit Argentinian mini market and restaurant in the SFV. Great selection of freah meat, the skirt steak or entraña is excellent though quite pricey. The mini market has a decent mix of products including alfajores, mate, tea, cookies, candy, and misc merchandise such as mate cups and mate straws. The restaurant is excellent, true Argentinian taste, and the chimichurri is very good. The only thing that sucks is the parking lot … almost always full and the spaces are very, very tight. Like Compact size, so door dings are almost guaranteed. Street parking is also always jammed because it is next to apartments. Nonetheless, it is still the best Argentinian spot in the valley.

Very casual place with very authentic food at great prices. My dad used to take me here because it reminded him of the kind of good, cheap restaurants he loved in Argentina. Have a choripan and a Quilmes, or share a mixed grill with a friend even though its more food than you can finish, and my dadll be there in spirit. The food here tastes like memories to me.

As to be expected of an Argentinian restaurant, there are alot of meat option. Also like a good Argentinian restaurant, they have very good meats. I only had two thing between my buddy and I, but we like both of the meats in our sandwich. The sausage was very flavorful, while the steak was very tender and well-cooked. I have no doubt the rest of their meats would be equally as well cooked.

I went there for the Empanadas, and they did not dissapoint. Parking is a bit small, but I got there around 9am so found me a spot, I noticed several handicap parking spots though. The bathrooms were spotless and squeaky clean. The menu is diverse, some of the items I inquired about, Mil hojas, torta de selva negra, Berlines, are made only for special orders, because of the Covid19 these items were removed from their daily menu,however theres plenty of other delicious foods and pastries to choose from. Sitting was available in the outside parking area, under shade, and big enough to do a pretty good job with the 6 feet rule amongst us, the customers. Service is great, bring your phone so you can scan the XYZ code on the table, so you can access their virtual menu ( that was kinda of cool and keeping with the times 👍👍👍). El cafe con leche was the bomb, their chimichurre and fresh bread for dipping was fresh and very tasty. El lomito con guacamole just melted in my mouth. Im definetely going back, this folks definetely have assimilated in order to continue to provide the best service during these difficult times.

The servers are gossips with zero customer service. I swear they hide when they see clients coming in. Not even joking. Its like they think theyre too good for the job yet they expect you to tip. We came in a group of 6 and they added a 20% gratuity to our check yet the server was never around. We had to constantly call their attention because the servers will rather gossip behind the counter or go hide/smoke in the back than do their jobs. On our way out we got some facturas and the check out girl, who clearly though she was hot s**t, was on her phone gossiping and wouldnt even pretend to care about her job. Rude and unprofessional people work here. Management knows yet dont care because they have no competition.All that being said, the food is good. Some of it is finger licking good. Prices are right. Id stay away from the asado if its your first time trying it. The asado here is cooked quickly on a gas grill. Sacrilege. Its not bad tasting, I mean youd have to never had set a foot in a kitchen to manage to ruin a proper cut of meat, but its definitely not what proper Argentine asado is supposed to taste like.Id recommend this place any day but dont expect good service or to find a parking spot.

Service is very friendly and welcoming and as soon as I walked through the door I was welcomed. I had the steak and eggs breakfast plate Argentinian style which you can see in the photo. You can taste the South American flavor in the meat which I enjoyed the most. The food is inexpensive and I will definitely be coming back to this place.

Authentic Argentine food. Im Argentine myself and I can attest that. the only thing is that there is no wine only non alcoholic drinks. BUT it does not matter. It is great. I drive 30 minutes from home to eat there. If you want desserts they have a great selection.

I had a bad experience with the guy in the meat department. He is a gay guy with very bad manners of customer service so rude.he should be fired!!! I try to get the meat I wanted it but he ignore what I want. He acting like someone with no patience and no education. This is not the first time. When he is the empanada section he is the same way. Ive visited several Argentine places here in LA and I believe that this one is by far the best. The dessert selection, the chimichurri, and the milanesa napolitana are to die for. Its a little bit expensive, but its worth it. Furthermore, the staff here is really nice. Try it!

What really stands out here are the empandadas. That alone is reason enough to come here. Parking is tough, but they have a lot of room inside and outside, so even with covid restrictions, the wait isnt too long to get a table. If you like spicy food or like your meat with more of a kick, I recommend bring your own since the hottest they can offer is a packet of tapatio (this is obviously more of a mexican problem though lol)
