I loved this place- got the iced coffee with the fresh orange peel in it and a chocolate croissant- the coffee was the best I’ve ever had and I lived in NYC for 25 years- the line was long but well worth it - fresh, phenomenal and well crafted and I LOVE the staff!!!!! Amazing experience

Just had the VBC (Venice Beach Cappuccino) which is delicious and gf had the Spanish Latte which she also loved. Very cool that they play music from vinyl behind the bar. It’s a small place but good seating outdoors and near the main Venice Beach drag. Was a popular place but like was short and quick when we were there at 11am on a Sunday morning.

Came based on recommendations and was so impressed. As a Melbourne I do pride my taste buds to discern coffee-I checked a few places out before and this was the only one I insisted coming back to.I ordered a Cartado twice- great flavour coffee.We ordered an almond chocolate pastry and an almond meal almond and pear pasty. To die for. Genuine marzipan... loved in every way.Id maybe clear and organize the outside terrace but thats a matter of age possibly. Lots is beautiful

The service was a bit rushed and the drink was pretty average. $7 for a vanilla latte that doesnt even have a logo on the cup is a bit much but I guess youre supporting a small business. Better spots in the area.

Stopped by in the morning while visiting Venice Beach area. I usually get a drip coffee at a cafe, but sometimes order a latte and enjoy latte art. The latte I had here was good and satisfying. Service was fast and friendly. Some indoor and outdoor seating; good ambience with indie rock music playing (I took it with me close to the beach). Good place for a coffee fix.

VERY good coffee! Got charged a “large party fee” for 5 people and they made an extra coffee and charged us for it, even though we did not order it. We were not given the option to get our money back or not take the coffee. Seemed like a new person who didn’t know what they were doing. We didn’t like getting a charge for a large party when taking coffees to go. That didn’t make sense.

Menotti’s is a coffee shop is the heart of Venice Beach so it’s hard to miss. They serve your basic coffee based options and also have a few specialty drinks but staying true a first visit to any new coffee shop, I always order a drip coffee to try their blend. The beans at Menotti’s were mostly well balanced with a slight bitterness to them but still smooth so overall the coffee was delicious.The inside of this small shop is cozy and nicely decorated. The baristas play records on the vinyl player in the back and serve customers with a smile. When I visited in the morning it was already super busy so the wait was a bit but the baristas still got through everyone politely which I appreciated.

Menotti’s is a “must stop” for coffee and espresso lovers on the Venice Beach to Santa Monica strip. Had an amazing cortado. Heard their Spanish Latte is a great option anytime. Latte art on our drinks was exquisite, as expected. Baristas were friendly, though busy. Muffins were delicious. Next time, will ask for a porcelain/stoneware cup. Paper cups are standard, since they do lots of “to go” business.Was hoping to meet “Nicely” (aka Christopher Abel Alameda), but was told by the baristas that he was now working with another LA shop.

Menottis Coffee is a very busy place close to the Venice Sign. Its not just a hipster place, they have amazing coffee and muffin. Be ready to a line, no matter when you go. The details of the place and food will surprise you, and the coffee at the right temperature, the muffin with a good texture thats hard to find. You wont find a small space inside and a large space on the patio outside. Service was fast and friendly; The parking in front of it made it all an excellent experience.

If you come here you got to get the Spanish latte. Its very good, they make it with condensed milk, espresso and a bit of cinnamon on top. Taste great! Best way to start the day, the pastries are pretty good. Parking is decent in the morning just make sure the meter is full and dont get a ticket. Cheers

I don’t know what else to say other than calling this stupidity from a customers pov. You made me the wrong drink but when I offered to take it instead of making you throw it out - you refused to charge me for the drink I actually ordered? Doesn’t make any sense considering you were perfectly fine throwing out the drink you first made me and charging me for the original price of the drink I actually ordered. I hate situations like this because the coffee was actually quite good but the thought process was so stupid and put so little value towards common sense.

This is specifically for the Venice Location on windward. Service was great, no complaints there.Espresso machine was broken/being worked on (not a big deal at all) but the drip coffee that was offered was not okay to serve, it was so damn acidic and very disappointing, I even tried to doctor it up with some cream and sugar but had to trash it after trying to power through it. Waste of 4 bucks.Might come and try a cappuccino/latte at this location (they’ve been pretty solid on the Washington location).The Menotti’s location in Tokyo Japan is the best hands down, the locations here on the west side needs to step their game up.

Shop is exceptionally loud - you could barely even order. The woman at the counter behaved as if taking our order was a major inconvenience.The mocha we order was also disgusting. It was sour, bitter, and acidic. I dont know if what they used had gone bad, but we didnt finish that drink. Poor service, not a great atmosphere, unlikely to be coming back.

Delicious, locally roasted fresh, specialty coffee served by a local coffee legend!I visited Venice with some friends & was craving a cup of specialty coffee. My friend Jared Ingold who owns Vardagen on Abbott Kinney recommended Menotti’s & we are so glad he did. We entered & was greeted by the modern decor, a sizable line & the head barista was local coffee legend, Nicely (Google him). The line moved quickly and we were able to take in the delicious smells, scan the bags of locally roasted coffee & check out the diverse menu. Nicely was so kind & helpful to us. We enjoyed our drip coffees (Ethiopia) & a Cortada at the large table. The coffee was phenomenal!! Highly recommend!

Best speciality coffees I’ve had in LA. Tried the Jack Jack Attack and the Chanel Orange and both were ridiculously good. A little more pricey than a standard coffee (which of course they do), but I think the secret menu is worth every dollar. Staff are friendly too.

The single origin (Indonesia) espresso was delicious as expected, the number 2 eraser charcoal cap was great, the Spanish latte was spectacular, and something else that was still amazing even though I cant recall the name. Ive read some folks complain about how expensive everything is, but I feel its well worth the price. I ended up being mega fanboy and bought a mug, hat, and bandana. Wonderful folks over there.

Was told Menottis is a must if I find myself in Venice, so we stopped by on our way to the boardwalk. I dont know how to describe my experience drinking the Spanish Latte - IT IS SO GOOD. I chose to have my dry cappuccino in this place because supposedly they are a coffee house, meaning they specialized in coffee.What Big disappointment I got. Not only there was no difference between a latte from a dry cappuccino but also when checking out mistakenly I noticed that there was an additional 2 dollar tip. I asked to have the tip returned to my credit card and they said that they already did. Well weeks went by and never got back the tip.The whole experience in stopping for a good coffee was a really bad decision.

One of my lowest reviews as of late. The coffee is fine, and not the reason for the low review. The low review is for the following: the barista person who looked like she could not be bothered to take my order. The music which was so gratingly loud it was obnoxious. I get that you have a turntable and a cool sound system, but this is not soul cycle- it’s a coffee house, where people would like to sit and enjoy their coffee or maybe a conversation.

Menotti’s sits in the heart of Venice, adjacent to the Boardwalk and under the famous Venice sign strung across Windward Ave. It’s location lends itself to an extremely high volume of customer traffic which may explain the higher then typical volume of reviews compared to other coffee shops in the area. The wait was short and the staff was extremely friendly, I’d go back just to chat with them. The coffee unfortunately left something to be desired, it was a bit sour and acidic for my taste. IWith so many reviews it’s hard to figure out what happened here, I’ll give it a second try by only if there aren’t other options available. If you’re looking for a quick pick-me-up, it’ll satisfy, but get something other than a cold brew.

I visited Menottis Coffee Stop in Venice to meet up with a friend, there was a line even though its a weekday morning. The location is very touristy so I guess thats what you expect. The barista was very rude, and made a point of not understanding our foreign accent. My partner and I are not native English speakers, and we definitely not have the perfect American accent. But when you go to a COFFEE place and ask for two shots of espresso and a spoonful of sugar, there are not many things that are ambiguous, even if you have the worst accent. The barista made a point of correcting our accent, after we said the order 5 times, and it took them a while to understand what we wanted. Oh, you mean SHOTS. Thats super racist, especially in a city like LA with millions of tourists, in a state like California. Well make sure to get a PhD in the English language next time we visit.

This place is awesome!Located just under the famous Venice sign in Venice, this coffee shop serves up Four Barrel coffee and makes some mean espresso drinks.Everyone in the shop is really friendly and they just expanded giving you more seating indoors. Asked for a cortado which is listed on the menu. The barista said shed make a cortadito. I reinforced I wanted a cortado. She still made me a cortadito. Didnt know I paid $8 for 4oz of coffee for the barista to make what she wanted instead of what I ordered. And it wasnt even great.

Love this place! The baristas are always very friendly and helpful, the coffee is always the best, the environment is very cool and clean, and most importantly its free parking! I hate paying for valet or for parking just to get a cup of coffee, but because this place offers free valet, its very convenient. My all time favorite coffee is rose latte and Ive tried all of them in ktown. And so far Balconys rose latte is the best! Its not too sweet and not too strong - just perfect. Definitely recommend this place.

When I travel, I love to find coffeeshops to work from and experience the locals and the overall vibe. So, I chose this shop meticulously, as there are so options in the area, and walked 40 minutes to get to it. I also called ahead 4 times to triple check on outlets and WIFI, even though online both answers were yes, yet no one answered. So in summary, Im super disappointed by my this experience morning.Although the staff was super nice and friendly, I feel like I was slightly taken advantage of. Let me explain.I came in, only to realize there was one single outlet and that table was taken. However, the lady at the table was gracious enough to switch tables with me, as she didnt need an outlet. I plugged in my laptop ASAP! WIN!Then, I came up to order a coffee and only after I said my order did they reveal that their coffee machine was down and all they could offer me was Cold Brew or an Iced Chai. I was super disappointed, as I only drink hot oat milk lattes, but decided to try the chai! As I sat down, I asked for the password, as the WIFI network popped up, but was told that they didnt have internet.Heres the part I felt taken advantage of: I came into this coffeeshop to have a coffee and work. Why wouldnt they express so many key things were missing prior to taking my order/payment? Now Im scrambling to find another coffeeshop, where I will have to buy another coffee, etc.Definitely not coming back :(

Would give 6 stars! Their flat-white is made perfectly - strong on the espresso, short on milk. I opened the paper cup to find that it wasn’t full of milk - thank you! Very friendly service and a beergarden-style outdoor seating area extending out into the street shared with neighboring bisinesses - hope that’s a permanent feature! 👍🏼 Google now says that the afternoon hours have been cut back dramatically - hope that’s short-term because we visit around sunset to get a coffee to go with the 🌅 show!

Stopped by Menottis while in Venice & its absolutely a hidden gem in the community. The staff there is incredibly friendly and their coffee is delicious! I got a mocha with soy (or maybe almond milk?) and it may be the best mocha Ive ever had. Ive been visiting Venice since I was a kid, and Menottis is for sure a new favorite. Cant wait to go back!

Just a stones throw away from the shops on the boardwalk you have a coffee oasis.Cool and calm inside its a welcome relief. With varied tunes playing its a great place to sit and enjoy some very tasty coffee while watching the world go by.Theres a small but delicious selection of treats to eat and the coffee menu is small but done exceptionally well. Using organic and sustainable ingredients its a hipster haven to enjoy a cup of the good stuff.

Francisco Menotti while having an Italian sounding name is actually a Frenchman. He was a simple pie maker in London before moving over to coffee in Berlin. From Berlin he moved to Tuscany for an education in coffee bean making. After graduating magna cum lade from Italy Coffee University, he moved to Denver Colorado where he married his wife Stacy. Stacy got a job offer as a surf instructor at Los Angeles College University so Mr. Menotti moved along with her. He opened his famed coffee shop in 1973. He IPOd his business 1998 and made lots of moneys. He has since retired and now lives with Stacy and her twin sister Stacy #2 in a rather large mobile home off the coast of Mozambique.

Dont judge a coffee shop by its size! This super cozy coffee shop is pretty bare bones, but thats because the focus is on the coffee! Amazingly good coffee lovingly created by baristas who know their trade. You cant go wrong with the taste - super, super good! You wont find leather chairs to sit in at Menottis, but there are a couple of chairs inside, and a couple outside. This is a grab and go place, not a sit and lounge - but with it being in the heart of Venice it works very well. Do yourself a favour, go check out Menottis Coffee Stop!

High prices totally not justified. I don’t know if it’s the coffee or how it is prepared but it’s terrible. I am Italian and used to have good coffee. This is a no no for me. Best service ever - I brought my own travel mug, which I do clean with soap regularly, but the Barista offered to deep clean it for me with some magic Barista-strength coffee stain remover while I enjoyed my coffee, just that morning, in a paper cup.My cappuccino was smooth and delish and when I returned from a short walk, my buzz was on and my mug was shiny and new looking. I try to only give 5 stars go places I keep going back to. Ive been back here every weekend since my first visit.Excellent espresso, up there with the best Ive had in LA.My only criticism is that the music has been hit and miss. I think one of the staff members is a massive Avicii fan, which is fine... But probably not for most people on Sunday mornings haha. Other times Ive been there Ive enjoyed some more chill tunes. Either way, the staff noticably seem to enjoy choosing their own music and working with each other, which adds to the positive vibes.

I found this place by ‘surveilling’ some undercover feds in the early morning figuring they would lead me to the best coffee after a night of partying in VeniceSaMo. Boy did they ever. After a taste of my bold flavored, always strong and never bitter house coffee I asked the feds ‘if they had a spare police badge I could borrow for five minutes.’ We all had a good chuckle and then I told em “Leave it to you guys to know where the best coffee is.This is by far the best coffee on the Venice boardwalk. Reasonable prices and the staff and guests are always friendly and never pretentious.P.S. Those feds stuck out like a sore thumb!🤪

The cappuccino had a rich espresso taste where the foam was mostly crema, and the milk was deliciously sweet and perfectly textured. My companion also had a cap, and I had a quick sip and was impressed to find that it had the exact same distinctive nutty taste to it. Consistency is the sign of a high quality shop. The brewed coffee is prepared using a french press. Normally, I find the press produces a cup with muddied, muddled flavors - usually not the best way to showcase the delicate nuances of specialty coffee. I got a cup of the Four Barrel Robot Mata from Ethiopia and was blown away. So sweet, and tangy with black cherry notes. Menottis uses a Mahlkonig grinder, the best on the market, which probably explains why the french press tastes so clean here.

I was looking for a WiFi signal to see if I could get some work done while I was in Venice for the day. I cant drink coffee, so I just bought a croissant and sat down. After realizing that they had no WiFi, I heard the man at the front desk talking to someone about me. He bought a croissant, but his overwhelming intent was to find a WiFi signal... He was totally in earshot, and I thought it was a bit rude for him to be taking about me so loudly. I looked back at him, and he said We dont have WiFi. You forgot to get your croissant. Pointing to the croissant I totally forgot I left on the counter. I got up, took the croissant, and left with my things. I wasnt sure why he said those things to me that way? I paid for the croissant, whats his business if dont eat it? I didnt want to leave a bad rating, because I thought it was a very nice coffee shop and didnt deserve to lose business over the thing, but I figured I should address it somehow. I was offended by it, but it probably wasnt much his fault, I guess I might have been easy to dislike, walking in with my button up and my skinny tie leaving my croissant to spoil on the counter while I opened my laptop, and I know service work is tedious and frustrating, But hey? I just left your store, i asked for a expresso, one of the servers asked me to drink in or take away, I said away, then the other server repeatly asked me to drink it in the store, I kept saying take away, he still was going to put it in a cup, at this point I started to get angry.
