Bill has been very accommodating and very trustworthy. He does a great job. He finds the problem first and does the estimate fairly. He explained what had to be done. Great explanation! Paid reasonably of their job well done. My cars Honda Civic and Subaru had been very well taken cared of ever since I came here. Salute to the honesty and integrity of this management. Had a very good recent experience. Went in for an oil change and ended up needing new brake calipers and pads. Price was reasonable and Bill, the owner, was very efficient in making sure it was done in a timely manner. This was the second time Ive used them for service and will plan on using them consistently in the future. As a note, the brake job was not an upsell, I truly needed new brakes and was glad they noticed as Im heading out of town this weekend with my camping trailer and it would have been a very bad situation if they hadnt pointed it out. Bills concern was for mine and the trucks safety, not making another sell.

My new fav spot to get my oil changed (2013 Lexus RX 350 - synthetic blend) Will be a life-long customer thanks to Bill’s (the owner) great customer service and transparency. He had great hospitality on the phone when I called to set up an appointment. Upon arrival, he explained to me why other places try to up-sell me on a full synthetic oil change for my specific car. Don’t waste your time going anywhere else if your car only needs the synthetic blend oil. Meineke will take care of you and have complete transparency. Awesome, concierge customer service and one of the few honest auto repair shops.Bill, the owner takes pride in his shop. The shop is always clean and organized. The repair area is spotless. Most mechanics shops are filthy with oil stains and petro smells. This one is super clean.Honest mechanic - why? Took my auto to another place for simple synthetic oil change and tire rotation. I was informed that the engine seals or oil pan has a leak. Was also informed that the Mercedes Benz needed a tire alignement. The cost at the dealer to trace the leak, repairs, and alignment would be premium - which means expensive.Bill informed me the tire alignment is $149 and that his technician would check the oil pan and seals. Walaa, he confirmed everything was perfect and there is no need to do anything because no oil leaks.He educated me on alignment of Mercedes. Shared the steps his technician took to align wheels and informed me the auto is in good condition.Big thumbs up and kudos to Meineke for knowing their business. Most of all for their honesty.Cheers.

Once again we had a wonderful, highly personalized experience at Meineke in Gilroy. As part of my regular oil change it was noted that a front tire was cracked and needed to be replaced immediately to avoid the high potential of an accident. At no financial gain, they took time to research possible solutions and after a lengthy web search found me a replacement tire that could be shipped overnight from Detroit. I was also cautioned about not driving the car until the wheel was replaced. Plus, the oil change free was reduced as the tires were not able to be rotated. That is what we consider “honest business practices”. And this is why we continue to return to Meineke for our car needs. We highly recommend them!

I took my SUV in for a routine oil change. Since the mileage is high I was expecting to pay more. I immediately received a phone call from Bill stating that I did not need the high mileage oil change, and it would be cheaper than what I originally expected. I had an unexpected issue with my car and googled “mechanic near me” and noticed Meineke had several good ratings. So pulled in and within an hour had the diagnosis of my car. It wasn’t recommended to drive the vehicle but I had both my two young kiddos with me. We pulled the boosters out of my car and one of the workers drove us home. We had a tentative date of completion for repairs and it was right on track with great turn around and communication.

I am a repeat customer of Meineke and after a great experience with my Suburban a while ago I returned with my Ford Fusion Hybrid (197,000 mi) for an oil change and brake inspection. I heard a metal on metal sound (not good) coming from the passenger side front wheel area and told Bill I expected the worst regarding my brakes.Bills crew performed the oil change snd inspection and called saying the brakes were in great shape, nothing wrong with the rotors, and couldnt see a reason for any noise. I was surprised and stated again there had to be something. Bill instructed his crew to return the car to the rack, remove the wheels again, inspect everything, then perform a rolling test trying to replicate the sound I heard. They found nothing and assured me the vehicle was safe & in great shape. They seriously went the extra mile. I left knowing the car was safe and I was not charged for services not needed. I wasnt even charged for extra services provided!On a side note and unrelated to the Meineke services, as I was driving home the bolt from the engine splash shield came off and the front of the shield hit the road. I called Bill and he said to bring it back immediately. Even thought this had nothing to do with the work they performed, they again raised her up and re-secured the shield... and you guessed it, no charge.Fair & honest, high-level service with integrity. Ill keep going back knowing that when Bill does call with bad news and extra work is needed, it is, in fact necessary.

I needed an oil change for my car and made an appointment at Meineke. I had used them in the past for another car and loved the service I received then. I arrived early for the appointment, I was checked in by Bill and he said they would be able to take my car in right then. They were done in short amount of time. I was told I could wait until the next oil change for an air filter replacement and he offered me a coupon to save additional money. Their honesty, reliability, and excellent customer service go a long way in my book and I will continue to bring my car here for any needed repairs.

Several places sell tires in Gilroy that don’t align tires. Meineke aligns tires so your new tires last longer. Ruining new tires with a miss alignment is just throwing away money. And yes, they were fast and easy to work with.

Screw this place first and last time I ever go there for an oil change or any type of car service, don’t go here . I went during the week dropped my car off then I picked it up and I noticed the rotated my tires without even asking and they didn’t reset the tire position sensors winch means that now idk what tire is which when I add air or a tire is low, second thing I noticed was my car after 3 days started making a noise that never did before took it to another shop and turns out not only was the oil black but my engine was super low on oil they almost ruined my car . Don’t go to meineke and if you do then check absolutely everything right when you pick it up.

Over the years, Bill has saved me thousands of $$$.Ive come in with issues I thought I had the solution to, and conversations have gone something like this...yea, we could do that, but I would start with this (saving thousands) or I suggest we dont do that now, do it in another 5,000 miles (again, saving $$$).Have questions about the work they are doing? This place is hands down amazing. I called one morning to get my brakes done. They took me same morning and had my brakes flushed and replaced by noon. Heres where it gets good. While i was out front looking to take an uber, the owner/operator was kind enough to offer me a ride home!!! Who does that these days? I was grateful. Add to that, he texted me a few days later to make sure my brakes were doing fine. 5 star rated service at this place.

I’ve came here and had to leave do to be ignored in the service area, not even a “I’ll be right with you sir” the only other time I was here they asked if they could top off my tires with air, I said sure to later find out they charged me each tire?? These folks took good care of me. Brought my truck in on a Saturday and they mentioned wouldnt be able to get to it until Monday. They asked a lot of questions about previous service from other mechanics and about the nature of the problem. We had my daughter’s car towed to Meineke after she had an accident where she destroyed a wheel and tire. We had bought a replacement tire and wheel at the Wheel Works which they assured us was the same as the ones my daughter purchase a year before. Meineke called me and told me they could put it on but she would not be able to rotate her tires because it didn’t match the others… It was a nightmare working with Wheel Works but they had finally found another Wheel Works that had one of the discontinued tires.I was so impressed with Bill at Meineke for being patient and storing our car and then with the other repairs. The total cost was unbelievably low for all they had done for us. My daughter Sarah was very grateful for the experience we had a Meineke. I think besides honesty and reasonable costs…they also don’t take shortcuts but do what’s right. I’m impressed - thank you Bill and Meineke! I have a 2004 3/4 ton suburban with 174,000 miles on it and the electronic shocks were shot.I took it to an unnamed place that would only install OEM parts because of the computer readout that says “Service Suspension System” requires the computerized connection to get rid of the code. Would have been about $4,000. The truck is worth about $2,000. So, no.Meineke had no problem with swapping out the originals for some very good Monroe Reflexes after I told them I didn’t care about the warning codes.They had the new shocks put in in about 3 hours and the experience was very positive. Under $1,000 and the truck rides like new again.

Be careful for overcharging. Called for a quote to get spark plug change on my Lexus GS and my quote was almost $900 and he’s said it’s 3 hours of labor that’s why it’s so much. This is the worst car center experience I have ever had! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!I came in because I was in the area, and I wanted to see if they could fit me in for an oil change; I had recently bought a Car Care Plan that was good for only this shop, so this was the first of many times I was planning on coming to this shop. When I came in, there were several people standing around, and then the owner, Bill Des Roches asked if I needed help. I asked if I could get an oil change and he immediately said, with a condescending tone, that I need to make an appointment and that I should of read the small print on the Car Care Plan. I was a little confused because I had never been to a Meineke before, but said ok. He said the next appointment wasnt for another 4 days, but I went ahead and made the appointment. I left a little offended, but because I had invested in the Car Care Plan, I really didnt have much choice but to go back and get the service done.When I came back for my appointment, he immediately greeted my with attitude, and said Oh, you were the one that was here the other day without an appointment. I was immediately uncomfortable, for here I was, a new customer, and the owner was talking down to me as if he didnt want my business. The Car Care Plan voucher I had purchased said the oil changes were good for up to $29.99, and when I tried confirming this Bill snapped back and said that there was no tire rotation included with the oil change (as noted at the Front Desk at this location), but I can use one of the tire rotation vouchers from the plan. I explained I didnt need a tire rotation, yet Bill pretty much tried pressuring me to use the tire rotation voucher at that time. He then said, you know you can just call and get you money back, we dont need your business. I was extremely offended, because I was about to take a trip, I had already invested a large amount of money in the Car Care Plan, and I waited for this appointment all week, so I stayed to complete the service needed. I then told him that I didnt appreciate his attitude, and he began to rant how I was the one with the attitude, and I should just leave. Now again, I needed the oil change so although I was very upset and offended, I kept calm and explained again how I wanted the service done. He was obviously angry, and upset that I was even using this Car Care Plan (maybe he should not of signed up to be a provider), and literally threw the oil change confirmation print out at me from across the desk. I was astonished, but I just grabbed a feedback card so I can let all of you know instead of throwing a fit inside the shop. I told him I would be reporting his service, and he slammed his card down and looked at me with a scowl, and this is when I found out he was the owner. Wow, can you say HORRIBLE customer service?!DO NOT GO HERE! Bill Des Roches is a angry, unprofessional, and an upset man with no care for his customers. Meineke should audit his service and not let him ruin their reputation... what a shame.

I actually Im very disappointed. I was told I needed new heads on my truck n was going to cost me 4200$ to 5000$ to fix it. I got a second opinion and that wasnt even the issues. So basically they were going to fix something that wasnt even the issue. Thank God I found an honest man that fixed my truck and the right issuse and then some.
