The surgery went smoothly, and I couldnt be happier with the natural and rejuvenated results. Recently had upper and lower bleph by Dr. Taban. Procedure was fast and painless. I liked the fact he did not require use of general anesthesia. Have had no issues during recovery and incisions in upper lids are almost gone - only been 3 months. I also appreciate the fact that he is very responsive to email. Very happy with my eyes. Included before and after photos that I took / before is on top. Look more awake and rested. Highly recommend Dr. Taban!

I had a great experience with Dr. Taban and his office. As with any kind of cosmetic surgery, its important to consider the doctors recommendations vs. the results you are trying to achieve. Nothing could be worse than finding out that the results you thought you wanted did not turn out the way you wanted it to. Theres a reason you should trust the experts to do their job. Dr. Taban gave me several options along with his recommendations. Needless to say, I am very happy with my surgery (the surgery was quick, recovery time was minimal and no complications whatsoever) and the results exceeded all of my expectations.

Dr. Taban is an exceptional oculoplastic surgeon. I had a lower blepharoplasty performed by Dr. Taban in January and I couldnt be more thrilled with my results!He is very gentle and caring about his patients and his support staff is amazing. So grateful for Dr. Taban for his precision surgery skills and for taking years off my face simply by performing a simple upper bleph that has turned back the clock!!! Procedure was done only under local anaesthetic and took 20 mins max, I never even needed so much as a Tylenol for pain post procedure. Healing was fast and follow up from Dr. Taban and the clinic to check in with me was great, they seem to really care about their patients. The impact on my face is nothing short of incredible to me. I no longer angry/tired. Natural results and no one would ever know (except for me writing about it here lol) I have compliments on how “rested or happy” I look now.I only wish I had made better found Dr. Taban earlier and done the procedure earlier. I suffered from Graves eye disease, and had severe sensitivity, pain, dryness and high eye pressure in both eyes due to eye swelling. I got the disease under control, but my eyes did not return to their previous state even after 3 years. I did a lot of research and consulted different eye and oculoplastic surgeons in London, Los Angeles and Singapore. I finally decided to fly to Los Angeles for eye decompression surgery with Dr Taban. I chose Dr Taban because he was clear and confident about what he would be able to do for me, and from my research I felt he was well qualified and had the breath of experience and patient volume to carry out a complex procedure like eye decompression. The entire experience for me, from the first video consultation onwards to surgery and post surgery follow up, was very smooth and totally fuss free. Dr Taban delivered as he promised, and it was a successful surgery for me. I am very grateful as he has given me back a lot of what I lost to Graves eye disease. Post surgery, I look like myself before the disease altered my appearance. The surgery also made my eyes so much healthier. My eyes are much less dry and sensitive, the eye pressure has gone down, and my eyesight is much better. I have been able to resume long hours of computer work and my outdoor sporting activities without experiencing eye discomfort, light / wind sensitivity, dryness and poor vision. I sleep better through the night and no longer wake several times a night to extremely dry gritty painful eyes. As advised by Dr Taban, I waited 6 months post eye decompression surgery before returning a second time to Los Angeles for some minor reconstructive eyelid surgery to repair the unevenness / droopiness to my eyelids caused by Graves eye disease. I knew that this second surgery was less complicated and Dr Taban himself confirmed that it could be performed by other oculoplastic surgeons as long as they know the ramifications of Graves eye disease, but I wanted Dr Taban to handle it as well. Dr Taban delivered as he promised. I am happy with the results. Thank you Dr Taban !

Dr. Taban speaks in a calming tone of voice. He knows his specialty quite well. He explained the procedure to me and answered my questions. My skin surgery went well and healed within a few weeks. People comment that my eyes look much better. The people in his office were friendly. I felt like I was well cared for. I highly recommend Dr. Taban.

My first cosmetic surgery was 5 years ago for upper eyelid lift and droopy lids. At that time I did not yet need lower eyelid surgery for under eye bags. It has been 3 months since that surgery; outpatient, local anesthesia less than an hour. Easy recovery, little discomfort. Similar as first surgery.Dr. Taban is soft spoken, calm and approachable; explained procedure in laymans terms. Enough time spent - pre-surgery consultation and post surgery follow-up. He calls me by my first name!Although a busy office, team is responsive and pleasant. Again calls me by my name. Pre-op and post-op instructions are clear. Follow instructions.Already made two referrals who are both physicians.

I am very happy with my decision to trust Dr. Taban with my upper blepharoplasty. I had been wanting to get this procedure done for a long time because I was insecure about my hooded eyes. I decided to choose Dr. Taban because he is an eye plastic expert, who only specializes in eye procedures.I was awake during the procedure and did not feel any pain during or after. My eyes felt a bit itchy and dry the first week, which Dr. Taban warned me about and recommended I use lubricating eye drops. I also had some swelling and bruising which subsided within 10 days and I felt comfortable enough to go back to work.My advice to anyone who gets this procedure done is to trust the healing process and not to pay attention to any asymmetry they may see in the first few months. I did not listen to Dr. Taban and became extremely anxious after noticing asymmetry in the first 2-3 months post-op. In this process, I learned that although most noticeable swelling typically subsides within the first 1-2 weeks, it can take months for all the swelling to resolve.I am now exactly 4 months post-op and my eyes have significantly improved and I am extremely happy with the results. My eyes look natural, youthful, and refreshed. My scar line is very faint now and can be easily cover with some concealer. He did an amazing job with leaving me with minimal scarring.Attached below are before and after photos of my eyes. the first picture is my before and the second two pictures are after.

I am so grateful that I found Dr. Taban! After years of research and multiple consultations with other doctors I finally found Dr. Taban to be the perfect fit. I had hereditary hooded upper eyelids and was terrified to not look like myself. I really trusted his work based on his before and after photos and felt at ease with his professional demeanor. I work in Beverly Hills and have heard his name from many of my clients and really trusted his artistic approach and suggestions. I’m a little over one week out from my surgery and I am loving the results so much. My eyes look bigger, brighter and lighter, an enhanced version of myself. The procedure itself took maybe 25/30 minutes, it was so easy and I didn’t feel any pain at all. I never even had to take so much as a Tylenol after my surgery. It was truly so easy! Three months ago, I had a much needed upper and lower blepharoplasty. Until I found Dr. Taban, despite many consultations with other surgeons, I was hesitant to have this procedure because I have downward eyes. I worried I would lose the character of my face and look astonished! I was impressed with the results I saw on former patients so I decided to finally have this long needed fix to my aging eyes. I am so grateful that I found Dr. Taban! He is a true artist! I looked at the before and after photos of endless surgeons countrywide and found that they were all able to remove excess upper eye lid skin but that Dr. Taban was the only one where the patients actually looked better after the surgeries. Every time I see myself in the mirror I am so happy with the results of the upper blepharoplasty that Dr. Taban performed and I am beyond grateful that I found him! Dr. Taban saw me the same day I called in with a terribly painful stye. He was able to diagnose my condition over the phone which was great. They scheduled a same-day surgery to have it removed. The process was (relatively) painless, aside from the initial anesthesia shots into my eyelid. Dr. Taban told me that would be the worst part of the process and he was right. The surgery only took minutes and I have recovered so well. I am immensely grateful, I cannot recommend the Dr. highly enough!

Last June I traveled from my home in Santa Barbara to have the upper and lower blepharoplasty done at the office. When I arrived there was construction work going on and workers were going in and out of the procedure room. I met Doctor Taban in the hallway after I had already taken the pre-op medication and he wanted me to sign the informed consent. At one point when I asked him about the construction work he got very defensive, raised his voice and told me I could leave. Honestly, I felt afraid and I told him I would stay. When I attempted to introduce myself to his instrument assistant he answered for her before she could speak. During the incisional cuts I felt the scalpel and I did tell him this but nothing changed. My post operative course was very different to anything I had anticipated and today I still have bruising on both upper eyelids. When I called the office I was told to make an appointment but I never want to go there again. To make things worse my procedure should have been covered by my insurance but the way Doctor Taban wrote it in my insurance did not cover anything and I paid almost $12,000 out of pocket. I work as a medical professional and struggled about sending out this review but felt it was the right thing to do. I do plan on going to a surgeon in Santa Barbara to see if there is anything that can be done about my 2 discolored upper lids but will never step foot in this office again.

Im a 38 yr old Eurasian female who saw Dr Taban for an aging related upper bleph. The results are fantastic and natural. The scars are barely noticeable - just slightly pink and faint lines concealed in my eyelid crease. For reference, my skin type holds on to pigment longer and takes a while to fade. When choosing a surgeon, I was mostly concerned about finding someone who could not only perform the procedure safely but maintain my looks with my ethnicity in mind - I didnt want someone who would make me look caucasian. I had two procedures done with him and had a great experience both times! I had an upper blepharoplasty in April last year and almond eye surgery in December. My results are great and look very natural. He is a pioneer in the field of oculoplastics. He has published many of his surgical techniques in peer reviewed medical journals and has set the standard for other oculoplastic surgeons to live up to. I recommended him to my sister for her lower blepharoplasty and ptosis surgery. She is still recovering but is happy with her results so far. I will continue to recommend him to anyone I come across that expresses an interest in cosmetic eye surgery.

Ive had eye bags since I was 8 years old, and it made made me look chronically sleep-deprived. I tried eye serums, microneedling, and fillers, but none of it worked. Ive had hereditary under eye bags that have bothered me for over 20 years. Ive wanted to get them fixed for a long time, but I kept putting it off because doing anything to my face made me nervous. Dr. Taban is a life saver! He changed my life and my confidence. I work in very high level special events/media and for years I would hide behind sunglasses due to large eye bags and eye aging. I tried so many procedures prior to seeing Dr. Taban which only left me with worse results. I’m currently working on a rebrand of my design company and needed a new photo shoot. I kept putting it off because I didn’t like the way I looked in photos. Additionally, I’m in the process of writing a book about overcoming trauma and a major chapter of my book goes into detail about the importance of self love and confidence. In early spring I will be hiring a PR company to help me with my rebrands and as a public figure I will now have the confidence to speak in public. Don’t go to this guy, had lower bleph in October 2020, worst decision of my life, instead of telling me I wasn’t a good candidate for surgery, he took my money and operated on me anyway, terrible bedside manner and rude staff, the results have gotten progressively worse as my eyes have changed, I regret my decision to see this guy everydayEDIT: Now, you’re lying, I had Lower bleph done by Dr. Taban in October of 2020, I assure you I had the surgery, interacted with dr Taban and his staff, my claims are not false but 100% true, I should know since I spent $5k out of pocket to have it done

It has been 2 1/2 months since Dr. Taban performed my upper and lower eyelid surgery. I am extremely happy with the results. The entire procedure was quick and painless. I wish I had done this procedure earlier in my life, but the time I waited allowed me to find the best doctor for the job. The bags under my eyes were very large. Dr. Taban changed my life. Aside from the circles under my eyes caused by age and fatigue, I had xantholasma…those puffy, yellowish things that some people get under and over the eye-in my case they were getting worse every day and I was terribly depressed every time I looked at my reflection.I went to 3 of the BEST oculoplastic surgeons in Los Angeles and Dr. Taban was my choice. It was a huge decision for me because it’s my face.. and more importantly, my eyes. His manner was reserved. He didn’t come in the room like a night club singer, trying to wow me with a song, as it were. He was a surgeon. He was serious, which for me can be off putting. However, his confidence in his surgical skills shone through like a light and I knew I had found my doctor. We decided to do an upper and lower blepharoplasty, as well as remove all the xantholasma.During the surgery, he was incredibly caring, communicative and warm. The way he kept checking in with me was so wonderful and I truly felt like I was in the best hands I could be in.After a few weeks I knew that I had been in the best hands possible by the results. Dr Taban is the best of the best. Its hard to say more than that. Going to him was one of the best decisions Ive made. I am delighted to share my opinion of Dr. Taban performing corrective eye surgery for me 19 months ago. Prior to finding him online, I experienced severe lower eyelid retraction due to a botched lower blepharoplasty surgery. Additionally, the first surgeon I chose to fix the retraction oversold his skill set and failed to resolve the issue. The third time was the charm, however.In my initial consultation with Dr. Taban, he evaluated my dilemma, and I instantly knew he was highly qualified as an oculoplastic surgeon. He pointed out the fact that I had slightly bulging eyeballs. It wasn’t extreme, but I never would have been a candidate for transcutaneous blepharoplasty. That is the type performed on me that botched my eyes, but instead he would have performed the transconjunctival technique on me. Then he shared with me different options on how he would correct my eyes. Factoring in costs and the percentages he gave me of the level that my lower eyelids would be restored to, I chose to have skin grafts taken and put underneath each eye.I wasn’t mentally prepared for how my eyes would look post-surgery because of the super redness underneath them. For the first 2 months, I didn’t want to be seen in public. I also suffer from perfectionism and proposed to Dr. Taban my desire to have even more surgery to bring my lower eyelids higher up. Some doctors may have seen dollar signs at the opportunity to earn more money performing another surgery. However, Dr. Taban told me that he wouldn’t want to do anything else as it pertained to further trying to adjust the height of my lower eyelids. I was disappointed with his response, but that’s precisely why you should choose Dr. Taban as your oculoplastic surgeon. Not only is he one of the top doctors in the world, but he also has integrity. He knew what was in my best interest. Any more poking and prodding to achieve that “perfect height”, would have had negative effects and ruin the quality surgery he performed on me.It took me about 11 months to fully comprehend the magnitude of Dr. Taban’s expertise in making me look normal again. The redness underneath my eyes slowly faded away and the color of my skin grafts is continuing to blend in with the existing skin around my eyes. I travelled to the other side of the world to have surgery with Dott.Taban...I could have done it in my country,or somewhere closer to where I live but after having several operations on both eyes(for different reasons), I was more than concern about the surgeon,who could be so good to help me solving such an issue, bothering me,since at least 10 years.He did upper and lower blepharoplastic,plus something else on the left eye, to fix a dropping corner side.The day before surgery,when I finally met him,for a proper consultation,I didnt even try to explain what were my expectations,cause already deeply disappointed with the previous surgeries done by other surgeons.I simply let him take matters into his own hands,for the best of results and considering he is a man of very few words,that for me,was daringly risky,specially after the bad experienced I had in the past .The surgery itself wasnt painful at all,apart from the local anesthesia and it went fast but the recovery...a different story.During the first week,previous to the day he removed the stitches,my vision was always blurred,which was pretty annoying,considering I was in a country I never visited before and I couldnt take the chance to move around and explore.After 24 hours, from the surgery,both my eyes, started itching badly,cause to some sort of intolerance,due to one of the two medications suggested(something no one could have predicted)and once back to my country,after a very long flight,a terrible jet lag and me going back to my usual stressful life, both scars on my upper side of the eyes,got pretty bad but with the timely help of a miraculous gel,ordered on line, specifically made to heal keloid scars, in a month,they faded away and today (two months tomorrow)I am so,so happy about the result .Dott. I had bilateral lower eyelid retraction surgery and Dr. Taban did an AMAZING job. Had a really good experience with Dr Taban & I want to give an honest and detailed review on my lower bleph surgery.From the day I requested a consultation to the follow ups, it was about a year - let me explain.On 6/19/22, I sent in some photos of my baggy eyes via his website & within a day they responded/set up an consultation which their next appt was on 12/5/22.On the day of consultation, Dr Taban, a kind and soft spoken man, and I went over all my questions and later, gave me an estimate of how much my surgery would be. General anesthesia wouldve been an extra 1000$ so i opted for the local (free). I took a few weeks to decide if I wanted the procedure done but by January 2023, I ended up setting up my surgery day for 3/31/23.A week before the surgery, they emailed me to arrange prescription pick up (a Xanax pill, some antibiotic cream for my eyes & Cefalexin).On surgery day, I took my Xanax & a Tylenol 45 minutes before my surgery & arrived at the office 30 minutes before surgery time.I was guided to the operating room, laid down on the table & then Dr T played some Dido (White Flag) on his speaker. He put some numbing cream on before the local anesthesia. I didnt feel anything from the needle except a tiny prick in my lower left lid area but it didnt hurt AT ALL. After that, the surgery began & maybe it was longer than I realized but to me it felt like 5 minutes per eye. It was done very quickly & I had no reason at all to worry about the needle ! Phew ! The night before I had a lot of anxiety re: the needle and even cried. but it was PAINLESS.Post surgery was very easy and recovery was quick. I took my meds like instructed but I didnt need to take any extra strength Tylenol bc I hardly felt any pain.I had 2 virtual follow ups: One a week after surgery and one today (7/14/23).Dr T & his kind team have helped me become so much more confident since my baggy eyes were more genetic vs aging. Now I can actually look ppl in the eye when they talk to me and not feel insecure about how i look :) i look so refreshed !

I am 3 weeks post op for internal ptosis repair for congenital ptosis in my right eye (left in selfie photos) and could not be happier. The procedure took about 10 minutes, there was zero pain, and very little swelling or bruising. Post op I experienced only slight soreness and discomfort from the stitches inside my eye. After care consisted of an ointment at night, icing the area, and regular strength Tylenol for a few days. I had stitches removed one week post op, and my eye has felt completely normal since. I had an upper and lower blepharoplasty with MD Taban about 10 months ago. During my consultation he recommended that I also get a skin pinch procedure to removed excess skin under my eyes.On the day of the procedure I confirmed if the skin pinch procedure would be performed to which he responded well see.Once I arrived home I noticed that my incisions were uneven, changing the shape of one eye from the other. I immediately notified his office of my concern and was told that it would be addressed with my follow up appointment. I also noticed that the skin pinch procedure had not been performed, which wasnt even mentioned post procedure.With the follow up MD Taban said that the skin pinch procedure was not recommended since I did not have enough excess skin under my eyes and that well have to reevaluate the unevenness I see when the swelling goes down with the next appointment in 3 months. I left his office crying, feeling that he was insensitive to my concerns and that his recommended procedure which was included in the cost of my procedure was not performed due to time constraints. I feel this way since as soon as I stepped out of the procedure room the next patient was ushered in.MD Taban didnt take nearly as much time and precision to mark the skin to be excised as he shows in his social media videos.He even had me sign a part of my informed consent that I accidentally missed while I was partially sedated.Given the opportunity I would still have the same procedure done, but with a different physician or signed the consent to have my procedure available for his advertisement purposes so that I could have the attention to detail he shows in the videos.With my three month follow up appointment which was supposed to be in office, I was notified by MD Tabans office the day before that he would not be available in person and only offered for me to have a video appointment.I feel that the decision to have a procedure done without having it filmed and posted should be a personal choice and not affect the level of care as advertised.I wanted to love the results of my procedure and I held off on writing a review, but I hope someone else might take a step back and read more reviews before going ahead with the procedure.Update to MD Taban’s response:This photo clearly shows the difference in shape of my eyes now as well as the additional skin under my eyes that MD Taban initially wanted to remove but decided not to.

This was somewhat a negative experience I had with MD Tabans virtual consultation. Upon waiting almost 8 months to finally have a virtual consultation with him, I was not expecting this kind of treatment. So finally, the virtual consultation began, and I was left waiting almost 10 minutes on camera for the doctor to show up. Ok, things happen, no big deal. He shows up on camera, I greet him, he automatically asks me what state are you from?... Im just like ok..(I answer) He then proceeds to ask for my concerns, to which in every single one of them, he states he cannot help me with and proceeds to give a basic explanation of why it is not possible to correct that problem. It is hard to explain your concerns through pictures or video camera, as well for him to understand what I am talking about vs. in real life me moving around. I have no issues with a doctor being honest and telling his/her patients that such concerns cant be corrected. As a matter of fact, I personally appreciate the sincerity there is with that, instead of just digging out money of patients pockets by committing unnecessary surgeries. However, this doctor needs to learn to be humble, respectful, and of course to have more patience. The consultation did not last more than 3 minutes; it was extremely rushed. His facial expressions on camera showed disgust every time I expressed a concern. It made me feel as if what I was saying was somewhat stupid or ridiculous. It got to a point where I felt very uncomfortable that I just wanted to end the meeting right away. I never dealt with this kind of treatment in the past, so I did not know how to react. Eventually, the virtual consultation ended with Any questions or concerns, email my office, bye *meeting ends*, and Im just there asking myself wth just happened? I am glad that this proceeded to nothing. I cant imagine how this doctor is in real life and the treatment he might give to his patients. I am not sure if there is special treatment for those who go to in-person consultations, or those that come from specific places. However, I do have to admit that his team was willing to refund the $350 fee for consultation, which they did.

Im getting married this year & have had a large chalazion on my upper eye lid since November (very noticeable in pictures). I HIGHLY recommend Dr.Taban!! I am from out of state, and he and his staff worked with me and my limited schedule to make sure I was able to get the appointments as needed. I initially did a Skype consult for a unilateral ptosis repair and upper eyelid filler. I wanted to start conservatively, so I started with just the filler. After that settled and I was able to get more time away from work, I returned for full surgery consult and decided that a bilateral ptosis repair with bilateral blepharoplasty would achieve my goals. Dr. Taban was patient with me and explained everything very well. After doing my pre-op eye drop test, I saw that doing a ptosis repair on one side could result in a new asymmetry to my eyes. After asking what my goals were, Dr. Taban explained my options, and I decided to do a ptosis repair on both eyes and include the blepharoplasty. I’m so glad I did. I love my results! Dr. Taban truly cares about his patients, as he would respond to my emails promptly when I had questions. He is an incredibly skilled surgeon, but also very mild mannered and pleasant. I checked other surgeons but I couldnt find anyone better than him. Before that, I was thinking its the best way to do my surgery in my home country because of my language barrier, also I was worried about difference in anatomy and culture between US and my country. But once I had a consultation with him on Skype, I realized theres no problem at all because Dr. Taban is so knowledgeable and well experienced. The surgery was very quick and painless, even just after that I didnt feel any pain and looked normal, just little swelling. I visited Beverly Hills from Northern California one day before the surgery and then I could come back home next day of the surgery (my family drove). Dr. Taban is amazing!! I had one droopy eye that made me appear as though I had a stroke. I was planning to see a plastic surgeon for help, but needed to research surgeons first. Then, one day before a vacation my daughter convinced me to go with her to get filler under my eyes at a walk-in, low cost clinic. Unfortunately, I agreed and was left with lumps of filler all over under both eyes. I had a hard time seeing out of my left eye because they put so much filler under that eye that it pushed my lower lid Into my field of vision. We all know social media isnt always a true representation of reality. But after my experience with Dr. Taban, I can proudly say I made the best decision and the amazing results are now 100% my reality. He is very gentle and thorough, but extremely quick and efficient. My lower blepharoplasty procedure was done in no time. My recovery was fairly easy. I felt no discomfort and within 2 weeks I was back to my usual self minus the eye bags. Pricing is also very fair given his talents and his location.Just like everyone else who suffers from under eye bags, I was constantly self conscious of my appearance. I had a great experience with Dr. Taban. Before I saw Dr. Taban, I had a botched upper and lower eyelid surgery with another surgeon and experienced multiple complications. One of the complications I experienced was lower lid retraction. I had lower lid retraction surgery with Dr. Taban to try and fix this problem and he did a wonderful job. The thing about Dr. Taban that I really liked was that he listened to me. The day before I had surgery with him, he spoke with me and gave me a few possible surgical treatment options for my problem. However, he let me make the final decision on what I wanted done. It was so refreshing to have a surgeon with this type of demeanor who really cares about what his patients want. I still have a long way to go in terms of fixing the other complications caused from the original surgeon, so I will definitely be returning to Dr. Taban in the future. I was referred to Dr. Taban through my dermatologist who knew him from the medical school as the smartest, genius guy that even she gets her fillers done by him. I had fillers done by a very well known doctor that made my eyelid to droop and be extra puffy. I went to Dr. Taban for consultation and he was confident that my fillers need to be dissolved. I have been going to different great doctors as there are many of them around but none of them were confident enough to do what he did. You’ll be in good hands.Long version: I researched many doctors specializing in the eyes and I kept seeing great reviews for Dr. Taban. Due to rapid weight loss, I lost face fat and I felt it showed most in the hollowness of my right eye. This was coupled with upper eyelid drooping on my left, and overall caused an asymmetry that was really bothering me. I first met Dr. Taban via a FaceTime call. He was kind, said very little, mostly just examined, and then recommended an upper blepharoplasty. Though he’s a man of a few words, he definitely exudes an energy that is confident and also compassionate. It made me feel like I could trust him with my face. I was very nervous about going under anesthesia, but he said the procedure was simple and could be done in his office with local anesthesia. Because I was feeling insecure, I inquired about more procedures and fillers, but Dr. Taban kindly declined. He said they were unnecessary. I really appreciated his honesty in that. He did not oversell or take advantage of me when I was feeling vulnerable. The day of surgery I was prescribed Xanax and a pain med. The procedure itself took only a few minutes. It was painless and I felt literally amazing because the Xanax had hit me hard! However...post surgery I looked like a train wreck, swollen and bruised purple. This only got worse after a couple days. But I continued to apply ice and the prescribed post surgery ointment. After a week I came back to his office to get the stitches removed. I still looked bad, like I had been punched in both eyes and unevenly swollen. I felt asymmetric and thought maybe this was just my result and perhaps fate was punishing my episode of vanity. Still, Dr. Taban said little and assured me I would be satisfied with the result. Although I wished he’d say more, like uneven swelling is typical...he still had a kind confidence to him. That gave me a sense of relief and I just tried to trust. Sure enough, within 3 months everything evened out. No corrections were needed. He fixed the asymmetry problem, my eyes were refreshed and I feel really great. Through all of this I learned that you really don’t ever need any surgery to feel good, but if you’ve decided to do a procedure on your face, use the best doctor you can find because a tiny bit of correction can sometimes just give you the right boost towards feeling like an even better you.

I was devastated and could not go anywhere without wearing a hat or sunglasses or feeling completely insecure. It affected my social and work life and after waiting the time period to be eligible for a revision I went to another oculoplastic surgeon in Beverly Hills that was highly recommended for this type of surgery for a consultation and he was not comfortable with performing on my eyes due to the method/approach that was used by the original surgeon. He then referred me out to Dr. Taban which at that point I was extremely apprehensive, skeptical and concerned that anyone could help me after being turned away by the other oculoplastic surgeon in Beverly Hills who had high ratings. I ended up moving forward with the revision with Dr. Taban and I am so happy that I did because I finally feel normal and like myself again. He restored the youthfulness to my face in less the fifteen pain free minutes. Dr. Taban is the best!! I flew all the way from Chicago to see him for a very complex issue - festoons. I am fairly young and wanted to go to a doctor that I trusted. Not only is Dr. Taban extremely talented but is also humble, compassionate, and caring towards his patients (this isn’t always easy to find!). I got my operation on lower eyelids done by Mr. Taban. I visited another doctor prior, who told me that the operation cannot be done due to specific deep location of my eyes, however, that was not a problem for Ray Taban who successfully completed the operation on my eyelids. I struggle with genetic under eye bags for many years and was looking for a solution.I researched his experience and results of other procedures hes done. I live in NJ so I was torn on seeing a Dr in NYC or California. I think ultimately I chose Cali because Dr. Taban specializes in eyes, I could make a vacation of it, and it was half the price for a doctor just as good and guessing better at that point. I was right. His staff courteous, and Dr Taban himself as professional as they come. I had upper eyelids done and my eyes look beautiful, they look like MY eyes 10-15 years ago. Although he told me to take it easy for a day or two, I was on vacation and went hiking 3 hours later. I would recommend him highly and I rarely take time to write reviews. Awesome!

When my daughter was 15 she had a fireworks accident and lost her right eye. Her surgery for the removal was done in our hometown inKentucky, and done well however her eyelid was droopy and her eyes were not level with the prosthetic. While researching for a doctor I bumped into a youtube video of Dr. Taban in which he performed the same surgery I needed on another patient. I went along looked him up and looked at all the testimonials he had regarding my type of surgery. That was more than enough, and I immediately contacted his office to set up an appointment. Everyone at his office is very professional and provide outstanding service. From Zaira who scheduled my appointments and answered all questions I had, to Tasha who provided me with all the paperwork and specifics as to how much my procedure would cost and of course Dr. Taban. Dr. Taban really cares for his patients, before the surgery he makes you feel at ease and calm reassuring you that youre in great hands. He showed me what a great doctor he is by calling me after my surgery. I had surgery on a Monday and was sent home the same day at 3 pm. The doctor called me around 7 pm to check up on me and made sure everything was good. Ive never had a doctor who shows you how much they care for your well being than doctor Taban.As to my results, I could not be any happier. After having a consultation with him in regards to a ptosis issue and cosmetic issues in regards to upper and lower lid, I knew immediately that he would be the doctor for me.First, his bedside manner is one of the best I’ve ever seen. He listens, doesn’t interrupt and addresses all of the concerns that you have prior to surgery. Although I had already reviewed him online and learned about his education and background, upon meeting him I felt very comfortable and he exuded confidence. I absolutely love my results, I had 3 previous ptosis (droopy eyelid) surgeries on my right eye with another doctor and was left with some eyelid asymmetry and some residual ptosis. Dr Taban told me that I can have surgery to make my eyelids more symmetrical, but it is unlikely that it has an effect on my still droopy eye, and operating a fourth time on the muscle to fix the ptosis would be too risky. I am not sure what happened, but I am now 1.5 months post surgery and my ptosis is basically gone and greatly improved from before surgery. My eyelids are also more symmetrical.I truly love my results :)A big thank you to dr. Taban and his super friendly team.

I highly recommend Dr Taban! I thankfully ended up being treated by Dr. Taban for a vascular growth on my eyelid that I originally thought was a stye (it was painful and was starting to blur my vision). I was treated twice by an ophthalmologist who recommended that I see either a dermatologist (which I did and they wouldn’t treat it) or a plastic surgeon. I researched several ocular plastic surgeons and wanted to see Dr. Taban originally, but he was not covered by my insurance so I consulted with another plastic surgeon instead.My appointment with the other plastic surgeon was terrible! First, the doctor was over 2 hours late for my appointment. I do understand that doctors have emergencies and can run behind a little, but I would have thought it would have been appropriate for the office to call me a let me know how behind the doctor was. Second, when I finally met with the doctor, he proceeded to tell me that growth might be cancerous (in just a matter of fact non caring kind of way) and that he could remove it through an in-patient procedure requiring a full week of recovery (time off work). He said there would be no promises on how my eyelid would look post-surgery (it might not close completely or might not look good aesthetically). Further, I would have to have a full physical exam and an eye exam prior to the surgery. After my appointment (which was a Friday afternoon), I was extremely upset and it completely ruined my weekend. The office said they would call me on Monday to schedule the surgery, but they never did (the doctor did call later in the week to discuss the procedure again since he knew how uncomfortable I was and I told him that it was already taken care of!).So after my miserable experience with the other plastic surgeon, I decided to contact Dr. Taban for a consultation. The receptionist was very polite and helpful and got me an appointment the same day (the growth was painful and starting to blur my vision so I wanted to get in as soon as possible). Dr. Taban was very familiar with what the growth was and was able to treat it right away in his office – NO downtime was required! I even paid out of pocket for the procedure (since his office doesn’t take my insurance) and it was completely worth it. He was very nice and comforting during the procedure. I was absolutely amazed at what I was told that I would have to go through compared to the ease at which Dr. Taban treated me. The difference between the two doctors was amazing! There was no comparison. It has been a few weeks now and my eye has healed up very nicely.

I wanted to share my 5 star experience at the office of Dr. Taban. I noticed over time (thanks gravity and aging) that despite me having an endo brow lift and an upper bleph, that I still had some hollowness in my lids causing asymmetry. I had filler placed a year ago by another doctor to resolve that issue. Unfortunately, the filler was extremely overdone making my eyes look very small and to the point that obstructed my vision when I looked up.After a year with out seeing a change, I decided I needed to visit an occculo specialist to address my concern. The first doctor I saw, dissolved the filler which I was over charged for and told me to come back for a follow up 3 weeks later to see what the treatment plan could be once the filler had dissolved. The follow up visit was strange as he said he couldnt tell exactly what I needed, yet still had the surgical consultant email me a quote for a surgical procedure. He kept saying you need to rip those lash extensions off for me to really tell you. I found that also extremely strange as he has been practicing for over 20 years. With that amount of experience, you would think lashes wouldnt be an issue while diagnosing the actual concern.Based on that I could tell that he did not really have an artistic vision, otherwise he would have been confident in the appropriate treatment options to offer me either surgical or non surgical.Luckily, through research on the web and seeing his before and after photos, I a scheduled a consultation with Dr Taban. Upon arrival, the front office staff was friendly and got me in to see the doctor promptly. Dr Taban was extremely knowledgeable, kind and took the time to really examine my lids and gave me the correct diagnosis and appropriate treatment. His approach is both technical and artistic. After my visit I felt confident again and dont have asymmetrical and hollow eye lids. I highly recommend him for anyone looking to have any procedures or treatments in the eye area. My experience with Dr Taban was great! I considered getting my eye bags removed a few months before meeting him. I did my research on his personal website after finding a YouTube video he posted of the procedure I was interested in. I then quickly scheduled my consultation appointment. He was able to answer my questions I had about my results. I felt comfortable to go ahead with the surgery. The surgery was fast and easy. With getting lower blepharoplasty he gave me the option to get local anesthetic instead of being asleep throughout it. Dr Taban and his assistant were supportive talking me through the surgery. Long story short, Dr. Taban is simply the best! I had my initial surgery to correct ptosis. It didnt work and the results were not pretty. For my right eyelid, the inner half of the eyelid still needed to be lifted. For my left eyelid, it was still droopy and there was a skin fold that prevented the crease of theeyelid from being present. Suffice it to say, I was not happy. I honestly thought that things looked worse than before. I was apprehensive and nervous about getting more surgery to fix this.However, I consider myself extremely fortunate because I found Dr. Taban!I came across his Instagram page. After seeing his wonderful work, I decided todo a FaceTime consult. After that, I flew to California for the surgery. For my left eyelid, he performed a ptosis revision surgery using the internal approach. He also excised the extra skin fold. For the right eyelid, he used the external approach to lift the inner half of the eyelid. A few months later,I went back to get filler in the left eyelid to make things looks more symmetrical. I am extremely happy with my results!Aside from how skilled Dr. Taban is, I just wanted to mention how kind and caring he and his whole staff are! I felt comfortable and not worried at all because I knew that I was in good hands. I cannot recommend Dr. Taban enough if you are considering any type of oculoplastic surgery. Dr. Taban performed bilateral orbital decompression for my Graves Eyes Disease in August, 2016. Its been more than 6 months since the surgery and my eyes have completely recovered and the scars from incisions were barely visible. Im thrilled, not only with the results of my procedure with Dr. Taban, but with the whole experience of visiting his office and the care I received. I am a 32- year- old female with naturally hooded eyelids that have drooped with age. I also had some hollowing- out of my tear troughs. Dr. Taban performed upper blepharoplasty and used injectables to fill the sunken parts of my cheeks, resulting in an impeccably natural improvement. I could not be more grateful that I went to Doctor Taban for my eyelid surgery.Before seeing Doctor Taban, I had seen three plastic surgeons about a mild, yet unsightly, bulge above my eyelids. All three of the previous doctors told me that I had excess fat and/or skin and that I basically needed a blepharoplasty - the most common cosmetic eyelid surgery.My husband, who knew of Doctor Taban, insisted that I see him before we made our decision about my eyes... and thank goodness I did! Unbeknownst to me, the bulge above my eyelids was not excess fat or skin at all! It was “prolapsed lacrimal glands” - meaning it was my tear ducts that were pushed out too far. Doctor Taban needed to simply cut open my eyelids and push my lacrimal glads (my tear ducts) back further into my eye socket (where they should be).My surgery went perfectly. The only part that was painful, was at the beginning when shots were applied around my eyes for numbing. Dr. Taban changed my life forever and thats not my making me look young because I am actually very young 33 however I have suffered from droopy upper eyelids for the past 4/5 years. I often get asked if I dont get enough sleep! I always looked tired and was starting to look ill, I would wake up with tired looking eyes. Dr. Taban changed the look of my droopy upper lids with Boletero filler injections, I had mild swelling for about 2 weeks, when all that subsided, I looked better than when I was 25. I used to have quite deep, dark undereye hollows. Im 33, and Ive had them as long as I can remember. If your undereyes look like mine and it bothers you, my advice is to stop what youre doing right now and set up a consult with Dr. Mehryar Taban.Im amazed at the difference, not only in my appearance, but also in my daily makeup routine. I can now leave the house without makeup and not get asked if Im sick (yes, this used to happen). I dont spend excessive time trying to load on layers of undereye concealer. Ive had a clear, noticeable bump on my lower left eyelid for a long time. It didnt pose a medical risk but it was in my sight line whenever I looked down and it altered my eyelash line slightly. At a recent checkup, my dermatologist recommended getting it removed and suggested Dr. Taban. On my first visit, Dr. Taban explained the procedure carefully and answered my questions thoroughly. I left feeling confident that the outcome would be fast, relatively painless and low risk to remove without affecting the eyelashes or the line of the lid. In the second visit, he did the procedure in 10 minutes in the office with local anesthesia. The outcome is what I hoped! People cannot tell that I ever had a bump on the lid. I found Dr. Taban after doing a ton of research on Yelp, Instagram & RealSelf. I had very heavily hooded eyes and my field of vision was becoming more limited. The first time that I consulted with him I did it via FaceTime to avoid LA traffic. He suggested that I needed upper blepharoplasty & ptosis surgery and that I was also a candidate for lower blepharoplasty. I figured that since I was doing it Id just do it all. I made my appointment then went in for my pre op. He confirmed what he told me via FaceTime although I elected to forego the ptosis surgery. I dont mind my lazy eyelids, have super dry eyes and didnt want to take any chances exacerbating the problem. I went in on a Thursday morning at 6:30am and was finished around 8:00am. The surgery went according to plan! The staff is nice, Dr. Taban is very professional & answered all my questions before, during & after the surgery. Flew from Toronto to had lower eyelid fat repositioning surgery to remove dark circles from under eyes and bulging fat! The trip was well worth it! The surgery went well, took about 45 minutes and there was no pain and no complications after! I was presentable 5/7 days after surgery! My results are grear at the 2 month mark! When I first noticed my eyes changing because of my Graves Eye Disease (or Thyroid Eye Disease), I was so depressed. Im a woman so yes, it was difficult to accept. I felt disfigured. When outdoors, I would not be caught dead without sunglasses. Not only aesthetically, but the pain that comes with Graves Eye Disease made it difficult to be awake. I suffered from constant orbital pressure/pain, dry, scratchy eyes. All in all, the worst time of my life.I did some research on orbital decompression and figured it was too invasive too pursue. It freaked me out a bit. Until I met Dr. Taban. Dr. Taban is incredibly professional and a bit of a savant in his field. He has the unique balance of compassion and professionalism, usually rare among surgeons. I immediately felt comforted by him and I knew that he would do whatever it takes to make it better.I had the surgery in April of 2012. I was out of work for about 2 weeks. I felt immediate relief from the constant pain, soreness and pressure I felt in my eyes! It was incredible. As the weeks went by, I started to see the bulging go away! I couldnt believe it. I felt like a new person. Im no longer afraid of taking off my sunglasses or of taking a picture with my toddlers. Aside from the results, Dr. Taban was there every step of the way. I highly recommend Dr. Taban! I wish I had gone to him for my original procedure, a lower blepharoplasty. Unfortunately after having it with another surgeon I had pretty severe ectropion. My original surgeon then performed a tarsal strip procedure which did not correct the problem and in fact made it harder to correct. It was a severe case and difficult to treat. I was so sad about my appearance and my eyes burned, were dry, and I could no longer wear contacts. I searched online for an expert, someone who could help me, and found Dr. Taban. He and his staff were very kind and I immediately knew I had chosen the right surgeon this time around. He knows what he is doing. I travelled to Beverly Hills and he performed a canthoplasty and mid-face lift to pull my lower eyelids up and have them stay up. It worked! I had severe lower eyelid retraction caused by a prior fat re-positioning surgery last year in another country. For a long time my aunt was bothered by her under eye dark circles. She looked for an oculoplastic specialist online and found Dr Taban. According to my aunt, During consultation, the doctor explained dark circles are caused by hollowness and an effective treatment is filler injection under the eyes. I have gotten both my Botox done by Dr. Ray Taban for over 5 years and would highly recommend him for cosmetic injectables, as he is extremely precise. conservative and professional. My friend had her lips injected with Juvaderm by Dr. Taban as well and the outcome was very natural looking. In addition to Botox I have used Latisse perscribed from Dr. Taban for over 4 years (I have light blue eyes, the product does NOT change your eye color contrary to popular belief) and even on days when my make-up is less than perfect I am complimented on the length and volume of my lashes.
