We were introduced to Megan through a family member who works in real estate and wanted to place us in the very best hands. From our first conversation with Megan, she gave us helpful tips and guidance on the home buying process. She asked thoughtful questions that got us to deeply consider our underlying motivation for buying and added a helpful lens for property evaluation.She was patient and did gently advise us against making purchases when we suggested projects that were simply too complex or expensive. At last, a unicorn of a home popped up and we were sure it was too good to be true. A mid century home with Sea Ranch energy, we were worried that we would be caught in an overbidding situation.Megan did a quick round of comps and spoke to the listing agent (who she had previously worked with) and came back with optimism that encouraged us to put forth our very best offer. Megan Micco is a superstar and we were blessed to find her. I was helping my daughter purchase a home and we had been working with a real estate agent for several months. We were feeling frustrated as it wasn’t a great personal fit and we didn’t feel well advised. We had met the agent at an open house and just fell into working with her without really interviewing alternative Realtors or considering the skills and temperament that would best meet our needs. My daughter-in-law, a real estate agent in Oklahoma, mentioned that if we were dissatisfied with our current representation she could put us in touch with a top local agent. She did some research and introduced us to Megan.Wow, What a difference Megan was! We felt like it was a great match from the very beginning. We quickly honed in on an ideal property, but it was likely to sell for more than we wanted to spend. We decided to make an offer and were competing against 5 other buyers. We didn’t think we were going to get the house, but Megan stayed closely in touch with the agent on offer day and kept pitching why our cash offer would be the best option for the sellers. My husband is deeply rooted in the East Bay community and has been a personal friend with Megan for a long time. She came over to see our property and make some recommendations on improvements that would hopefully result in a sale price high enough to allow us to afford an upgrade. We were in the process of relocating to the Bay Area from Seattle for a new job opportunity and were looking for a Realtor to help us find a new home. We had been working with a real estate agent friend and under their guidance we submitted offers on a number of homes without success. When we most recently lost out on a house that we really loved, we realized we needed a new realtor if we were serious about purchasing a new property. As we began thinking about purchasing our first home, we interviewed a number of different realtors and were about to commit to one when a friend gave me a rave review of Megan. She had helped them land the first house they put an offer on, and they had loved the experience.I’m so glad I listened to my friend. ...rewind to September 2021, we had been casually considering purchasing our first house for some time and were finally thinking about it more seriously. An internet search yielded great testimonial on Megans success as a realtor, particularly for first time buyers. We began working with Megan to find a home in the fall of 2019, but shortly after found out that we were pregnant! We decided to rent a house and take a pause in our home search to see how parenting would influence our needs. Once our baby was 6 months old, we restarted our search and had a few frustrating experiences with great homes that just didnt fit in our budget (dont get discouraged, there is a happy ending here!). With Megans guidance we eventually found a home in upper Rockridge that had been in a family for generations. I had known Megan while growing up as a friend of my parents and I began following her on social media at the suggestion of my sister and a few other friends.
