After receiving a trade-in email offer on my 3 year lease, I called Armando at Escondido Mazda. He asked for my mileage and told me hed call me in an hour with an offer. By late afternoon I was driving home in a beautiful 2024 pearl white CX30! He and Brandon even helped me to get my old car to San Diego Radio to have my Sirius XM unit removed and installed in the new car. My payment is $50. more each month, and I have so many more luxury features in this new one. Bravo to Armando and Escondido Mazda!

Very nice salesman. This dealership is the perfect place to buy a car. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. The dealership is clean and the prices are fair. I bought a new car and they made sure to have it detailed and a full tank of gas. Jasper was great, he explained everything about the car and was very helpful. Ishaya was also very friendly and helpful with finances. The whole car buying process went by quickly and smoothly.

Mazda of Escondido was a breath of fresh air. Thank you to Dickie and Alex Badillo!! A friend totaled the car that I loved and drove for 15 years. Replacing it was needed and a challenge. I wanted the right certified pre-owned vehicle in the right trim and price. We dealt with some shady dealers trying to buy something and were worn down from the whole experience.Then, I stumbled on Mazda of Escondido. (I live in LA). They had not one, but TWO certified pre-owned cars in the trim I was interested in. Both were my second choices in the color...but what stood out was that the deal was clear as day and FAIR. Just right off the bat. I didnt even feel a need to write them and haggle. My gut said make the drive.They were responsive and we were able to hit the road. I was a little nervous we were wasting our time but they said they would let me know if it seemed like the cars would sell. Both cars were dealer loaners so...basically new cars at a discount! But thankfully they were both still there when we arrived a bit grumpy after two hours of traffic ha. (If it were a weekend, Im not sure the cars would have been there.)The cars were ready to go when we arrived, Alex let us test them and listened to us vent about our bad experiences. He was lovely. And I found that my second choices...ended up becoming my first choices! I was honestly really surprised to love both cars. . I knew instantly which one was mine but asked lots of questions.There was absolutely no pressure to buy or add ons. And really no need to haggle. This dealership is smartly run. They made falling in love with a car and purchasing it a really joyful experience!Im super happy with both my car and the price! The finance gal was a gem, too. The best car buying experience that I’ve ever had. We were in and out in less than 1.5 hours including the time spent helping up set up the app and showing us how to use some features. Ill begin this by saying 100% honesty that for the first time ever I feel kind of bad about the level of a deal I received.I was looking for a vehicle within the 20k price range, cash offer. I wanted a mid size suv with less than 30k miles and preferably upgraded touchscreen infotainment system. Lets just say, after speaking with Ricardo for a little over 30 minutes. I found one within my price range, walk off price. I was elated. I literally was in and out of the test drive and finance process within 3 hours. I can not have asked for better service and a deal on a car. I am more than thankful and grateful for the deal I received from this team. Worst part was I went out and got a competitive quote from ANOTHER MAZDA dealership (same OEM parts, same work) and it was 40% less! of the two critical repairs recommended at Mazda esondido for $1600, I have Hello Mazda doing it for $650 less!! Unethical to overcharge customers....btw, spent $200 just to get this estimate only

Been here many times and service is decent. I will say though, I have an older Mazda with zero issues and they wanted to charge $480+ to do a basic spark plug switch out. I expected some mark up due to it being a dealership but good lord! Its in my opinion, highway robbery. Spark plugs on average, cost around $30 and labor about a half hour or so. Add in the dielectric grease and I was expecting perhaps $250. Silly me

Douglas was an amazing car salesman. He wasn’t pushy but was there to answer questions when needed. I definitely tested his patience as I wanted to sit in the cars several times and was particular on what I wanted. He was very understanding of how buying a car was a big investment to me and that i wanted a sound payment plan. He followed up the next day and finance worked hard on finding me a low interest rate despite the rising rates; one that I was comfortable with. He took the time to show me all the functions in the car after I purchased it, despite it being late and past closing.

Ive had Shawn Bradley as my service adviser and he has always gone above and beyond to ensure I am aware of all recommended services and that my car is in the best possible working order. I also love that the service tech who is actually completing the work sends you a video of the inspection points and highlight the recommended items, this is a great added feature of their inspection process. Also great to know that I get 15% off as a Costco member.

Its the best dealer shop Ive ever visited. The process of checking in, paperwork, and waiting was very easy and comfortable. They didnt force me to do unnecessary repairs and they didnt put me and completed the service much earlier than expected. Agent Mr. Paul, in particular, was so kind and was different from other staff who guided the store in person and just followed the manual. If you live in the San Diego area, I recommend you take some time to visit the Escondido branch. Pleasant, quick service and friendly staff will satisfy your time.

Avoid these guys like the plague.Some of the employees were wonderful. However, only takes a handful to make things horrible. Those individuals being most unprofessional and did the hard-sell. Overheard two of the salesmen speaking terribly of a customer that ended up walking out. Worst Mazda dealership. They have zero customer service and are disingenuous of what services are provided complimentary or not. Came in for a synthetic oil change and they stated not only would interior vacuum services be provided but also a full system inspection. I ended up leaving their Mazda dealership once my vehicle was serviced with no vacuuming provided and my check engine light still on. I assuming they were the professionals thought maybe it was just my vehicle messing up but they never performed a full system inspection. They performed only “a visual inspection” from what their service manager Anita, also very rude alluded to. Why pay a premium for services if the service provider is not going to service you right or look for things an average consumer wouldn’t know about a vehicle. My recommendation go somewhere else and find a mechanic that will provide preventative care for you vehicle if you know there’s an issue or not.

Abysmal service department. I have given advisor Shawn Bradley multiple opportunities to service our cx5 in a timely and painless fashion but to no avail. Every appointment I arrive at I am greeted by unorganized Shawn, attempting to help 3 other people at the same time, not aware of what the fix to the car was, never offering a loaner vehicle, never offering a wash. Today I brought a concern to him and was instantly greeted back with argumentative attitude instead of a solution to our simple windshield wiper problem. Shop foreman Miguel went out of him way to remedy the situation and should be commended for doing the service advisor job for him. All issues were presented to a blonde female who I was told was the service director. She showed little concern but did take care of the $200 bill we owed. Avoid this place

I had a great experience at the Service Department at the Mazda Dealership in Escondido! My 2015 Mazda 3 seat motor on the drivers side failed and I was originally quoted a $1600 cost to buy the entire subassembly (the motor and much more) as it was an integrated unit and it was impossible to buy the motor as a stand alone assembly. I left without getting the work done, somewhat disgruntled, and then filled out an on line survey outlining all the issues of why I thought how awful Mazdas part support strategy was. I was then contacted by the Service Department Manager who offered to engage Mazda and see if they could step in and work out a better arrangement. This then happened, I was amazed. The issue was fixed and I was able to save over $1500 for the cost of the part only paying the labor, a great outcome and I am so grateful for the outstanding professional service provided by Ms. Anita Spears and Mr. Charles Schagene.

They asked if I wanted it washed, they seemed very detail oriented. Also, I waited less than the time they quoted, so that was very nice! They seem like a very helpful team. I was even given all information up front, no adding on things. Even was given a heads up about what they’d do for my next service, so I can plan accordingly.

Went to the dealership to get a lease special advertised on the Mazda website. The advertised price was 319 per month for 2 years. I had called them up prior to getting there to make sure they have a car that can honor this deal so as not to waste my time. The sales person Juana had confirmed over the call that it is available and this deal can be honored. After test driving the car and all, I was given the final number would be 484 per month for the lease. Thats like an increase of more than 50%. I am so frustrated that I had to waste my time here after calling and confirming.

Called 2 weeks in advance to make an appointment to get the infotainment system fixed due to malfunction, I specifically asked if they had a courtesy rental because I need a car to go to work. The scheduler said yes if you drop off car early enough this day we will have a rental car for you. Mind you it is a 25 minute drive to get to Escondido from where I am. When I got there the services advisor guy older gray hair guy was very unprofessional and rude. He did not care to listen nor was he helpful. If this is how this dealership treat their Mazda owners then I will go out of business!!!

I got a quote online for a 2022 Mazda 3 with my trade that was very fair. When I went to the dealer, they said the car would be $1,700 more due to aftermarket add-ons they “put on every vehicle”. They also significantly reduced the offer for my trade, initially claiming that there were dash lights on in our car. (There were none, we take meticulous care of our vehicles). They backed off immediately when we asked the salesman to show us. They also removed charges for some of the add-ons, and we ended up with a reasonable deal, but not the one quoted online. The service was otherwise excellent once we had a deal worked out, however we did have to wait about 2 hours to sign contracts because they were short staffed in Finance. Do your research and stick to your guns and you’ll end up ok, but beware if you don’t.

Not once did we feel like we were getting a bad deal, swindled, or suckered into something that we didnt understand or want. The process was smooth and there were no problems of any sort. Mazda of Escondido is the best Mazda dealership in southern California. I drive 45 minutes out my way to get my vehicle serviced there every time. Im writing this review because I showed up a little before 4:15pm after sitting in traffic to be told I could not get my oil changed because at 3:45pm is the deadline and that she likes to let her guys go a little early... Im not one to argue with people but according to their website the service department closes at 6:00pm. There is absolutely nothing on their website that says there is a 3:45 deadline in the service department. On average it takes the mechanics 45 minutes or less to change my oil including the complimentary car wash that comes with it. Im definitely not happy with the service department. This is something that I would get from the Carlsbad location. If it happens again I will make sure that the Escondido location will no longer receive my services.UPDATE 23July15: Thank you Hilary for reaching out to me to discuss my issue. The worst service. I have been trying to get someone on the phone all week who can just give me information on my warranty and pre-owned certified car I purchased recently. I was sent to 4 different phone lines each time I called in. Was dropped/hung up on twice. Called back the last time and was told a sales rep would follow up via email. Because my car is a lot older, I prefer to go to the dealership because I feel that they will not skimp on the repairs. While it is probably more expensive, but for my vehicle I dont really have too much of a choice. Upon bringing my car in, I specifically told the representative that I could only fix what needed to be fixed to get the car running. Granted the car needs quite a bit of repairs. I appreciated Pauls understanding and getting my vehicle in, getting it repaired, and supplying me with a loaner until I was able to pay for the repairs. Everything was convenient for me in terms of paying for the repairs online, coming in to drop off the loaner and pick up my vehicle. This is a terrible place to have any work done on your car. I dropped my car off for an oil change and a wheel alignment at 1 in the afternoon. I was told it would probably be done around 3. I called at 3:45 to get an update and was told no one was available to speak to me and took a message. I called again at 3:20 and still couldn’t get ahold of anyone in either the service or cashiers department to speak to me. I have to be at work at 5 and it is now 4:35. No one has returned any of my calls and I don’t know how I’m going to get my car back as I will be at work. I have purchased 2 cars from this dealership. My first was a 6 year old used mazda3. It was great at first! I thought I got a deal, until I never got a receipt for the replaced engine that was installed prior to sale. I just let that one go because I had purchased the extended warranty as well. Within a month the car was in the shop for melting tail lights, which were covered by the warranty after Andrew worked with me to prove that I had originally purchased the vehicle in that state. After that, things were going wrong every few months, which is not what I expected from a used car that I bought at an actual dealership. Everything went from the engine to the transmission and even the brake master cylinder, but Andrew helped me get every single thing covered by my warranty and I only had to pay my deductible less than 5 times for 10+ visits. Then I got a 16 mazda3 and the sales and finance people were amazing. I was able to trade in my car with non-stop problems, they gave me more than it was worth, and so many incentives and rebates that my negative equity on the beater completely disappeared! I will come back to this dealership as long as need a car. They are the most friendly and helpful people I have dealt with in the auto industry.

New review on parts department:I had a minor physical damage to the car and my insurance forwarded me to a body shop for the repairs. Since January, I have waited for two simple body parts from Mazda of Escondido. But unfortunately they have not been responsive or helpful despite my consistent follow-up attempts. As of early May, I have started following up with Mazda customer line, and they are constantly promising to escalate my case, but one of the two parts is still pending with no delivery date. I have received several contradictory statements both from Mazda customer line and Mazda of Escondido parts department (a subsidiary of Penske automotive parts).I have a log of almost all my communications (tens of calls over months). Got a used 2013 Nissan from Mazda Escondido. Email, calls returned instantly. William the salesman was there right away at appt. time. Things went fairly smooth. On the test drive a warning light came on and I refused to buy it until resolved. They had it fixed the next day and called me back. I went and purchased the vehicle for a fair price. Beware of the finance add ons. If you want the extended warranty READ IT. There are so many rules and exceptions it is incredible and it is not cheap. I eneded up risking not getting it after reading horrible reviews about the warranty provider and reading the loopholes.My main 2 problems. The dealer installs aftermarket alarms on all vehicles. You have to Pay for it to work or it will be disabled and just left there useless. I paid $500, which I am still debating but oh well. I didnt want a useless electronic causing problems. I wish it was never installed in the first place. Also my front floor mats went missing! They are even in the picture on the website. The salesman and manager were going to look for them but no luck. Not a huge deal but I did not leave happy for these 2 reasons. I have a squeak and a leak to get checked in the 30 day warranty so I hope that turns out OK.

I have been going here for oil changes for years with no issue. Recently I had an issue with a powered tailgate not working on my CX-9. Quote was around $1,700 to fix since it was highlighted that I needed a new motor and slider since both were bent. This is what I was told on two occasions and it was highlighted that this has been seen on quite a few CX-9s. Decided to tackle it myself and got a new slider for $360 from a Mazda dealer online. When I compared the old and new parts it was obvious the thread on my old one was stripped. Nothing was bent and the motor worked fine. So fixed the issue for $360 in 30min. When I called to complain about the initial quote and to point out that the issue was only a stripped screw mechanism they then tried to say the stripping was due to it being bent. Finally talked to the manager who apologized and said it was all down to a communication error and that I should have been told that was the worst case scenario and it could have been much cheaper. He offered me a store credit for the initial inspection not a refund. Which after I said I would be complaining to Mazda head office he then turned round and withdrew saying that why would he offer a credit if I he had already lost me as a customer when I was planning to complain to Mazda and the BBB. When I pointed out that I should be refunded since they should be caring more about doing the right thing rather than being worried about keeping a customer he finally offered a refund which I accepted. This may have been a communication issue, but it all seemed a little off to me. I will be taking my business to another dealer in town in future.

My mom and I have been coming to Mazda of Escondido to get services done on our cars for over 5 years now. However this time around I was NOT pleased with how I found my car when I received it. Due to my schedule I needed to leave my car with them for an additional day. When I finally got my car keys back and went to get my car from their parking lot I pressed the unlock button and it never went off as if the alarm was put on my car (it was left unlocked overnight). I just picked up a CX5 GT FWD for my father this morning as he was returning his 2016.5 CX5 GT. I had leased the 2016.5 CX5 from Hine, but the salesman with whom I had worked with previously was no longer there. And, Hine was less than accommodating despite being a return customer.Fortunately, I dealt with Patrick Howard of Mazda Escondido. He was extremely easy to work with and very transparent. All communication was over email as I only stepped into the dealership to pickup the car. He furnished the detailed lease worksheet, so I could check my math. Naturally, you should know your numbers prior to entering a showroom, and Patrick didnt inflate the MF like other dealers. He was very patient as while we had consummated the deal a week ago, my dad wasnt available until today to make the return and pick up his new ride. Patrick also painstakingly took his time to show my dad all the new features and helped him pair his phone, etc. which was much appreciated.Paperwork was also breeze as all materials had been furnished in advance. Kendall(?) in finance was subsequently quite quick in having me sign all the documents electronically as he knew in advance that I was declining all the extras. The entire process took an hour at most.I would strongly encourage working with Patrick if youre in the market for a Mazda. I look forward to returning to him in 3 years.

HONDA CIVIC is a really great starter car. Its fairly affordable and for the most part is dependable. Thats the good news! NOW THE BAD NEWS; Customer service and standing behind their products is not part of the good experience. I bought two(2) Honda Civics on the same day, and I truly wish I had not. First, I found the car my wife wanted at the Escondido dealership. Over the phone I told them I would take it and offered to front a down payment until I could get there after work. They said it wouldnt be necessary, they would hold it. Long story short, they sold it within the few hours before I got there. I should have said enough is enough right then, but they came up with another one at their other store downtown. We ended up buying two that day and they were very happy, but quickly forgot. Fast forward, after about three years the paint stated to blemish(cloud) and it quickly became an eye sore over the entire car. The clear coat simply pealed off, NOT one but both cars in the same identical pattern. Hundreds of other owners are complaining about the same paint issue all over the internet and if you are looking for it, you can see it on the civics cruising down the freeway(very embarrassing for HONDA). At first Honda denied there was even a problem, telling customers that it was because the owner didnt wax the car enough. Hmmmm, Not the case for my other cars that are even older. Obviously trying to defuse the issue through deniability. It didnt work though, the consumer outcry was enormous from the number of owners feeling duped by Honda. Without admitting an fault Honda finally began painting certain parts of the cars. The Honda representative I talked to told me it began slowly, but now he is flooded with estimates to repair these cars. Unfortunately, I was told mine was one of the worst cases they had seen, but rather than taking care of it they now want me to pay almost 2K as my portion(40%) as if any of this was my fault. Originally I was told 10% cost to me. Then they estimated the paint repairs at $4400 for a partial paint job, which is totally outrageous, which will basically minimize what they will actually pay for their portion. So what they are really doing is putting the cost back on the owners, because I could get a good paint job done for the entire car for what they say is my portion of the repairs. Keep in mind that I already payed them for a quality paint job when I bought the car. This is only the first major problem. I will post more later. YOURE BUYING AT YOU OWN RISK, AND IMHO THERE ARE MUCH BETTER BUYING OPPORTUNITIES THAN HONDA RIGHT NOW.

PENSKE MAZDA.Had an unfortunate experience with my tires. Came in to avail of the oil change and car wash appreciation for healthcare workers (I work as a medical staff for the US Navy), and this is my first time taking my car to a non-Honda service center. The actual work was not clear due to it non-Mazda. Immediately when I left the dealership the TMPS light turned on so I asked if I could return for a complimentary recheck. That’s when it was found there were not only 1, but 2 nails. I asked to be helped but they just rushed to mediate the situation with no apathy. Then I was referred to Discount Tire and now I’m waiting to get seen. If this is what I get for going to a non-Honda location or to avail of something supposedly good during these tough times, then I would rather just not be part of it and just stay in my lane.

My wife and I went to Mazda of Escondido with her mother to purchase a GMC Acadia. The test drive went well. The car seemed to be in great shape. Cleaned of course to make it presentable. Within a week, the transmission had issues and left my wife and 2 year old daughter on the side of the road. They made us use our AAA to get it down there, but said they would take care of it. They continually said that the car would not repeat the issue. The service manager even tried to make the claim that the aftermarket backup camera and sensors is what caused it. Did I mention that i used their aftermarket installer and his parts?We drove the car a week and it did it again. We got the car to them. I was assured they would go through the transmission to make sure everything was fixed. I was specifically told that they will take care of it and that our extended warranty wouldnt be used. They tell us they are going to send it to GMC. I asked if I could take it to a dealer closer to home that I trusted, they refused. 10 days later, after we paid for the insurance of the rental car and gas for second time, we return to pick up our vehicle that we are assured is top notch. We receive a letter in the mail stating that the work they performed was actually done through our warranty. It was not taken by them at all. I shrug it off and thank my stars that my family has a safe vehicle to drive. After a month of driving, the car repeats the same issue a third time. I take it to the dealer I originally asked to do the work, and they tell me that the only item replaced was an exterior part of the transmission. I am now currently waiting for a new transmission to come from GM.If you are looking for a used car you can trust, or a dealership that is honest, this is not the one for you. I expected a lot more from a penske owned dealership. I am now both frustrated and angry that we were lied to, let down, and in my opinion cheated. If you find yourself near this location, feel free to do your best Usain Bolt impression while listening to the flock of seagulls and RUN!

Horrible customer service.. I was interested in a vehicle. I was ready to negotiate/buy, (check in hand) I was there around 5 PM. I was wondering around in the lot for a while and I was never approached by anyone, so I decided to walk into the office and ask to talk to someone. I was greeted by a hi, can I help you? More like what are you doing here? I said Im interested in a CX-5, preferably red in color, AWD. I had already checked the inventory online and I knew they had one with all the options I wanted. We walked through the lot and the salesperson showed me a top of the line CX5 AWD. And I said that I didnt need all the options in that particular CX5. To what he responded sorry, I think thats all I have. But we always have CX5s coming in, Im sure we will get one.. I started walking the opposite direction and I found the one I wanted. I asked him to open it, but there was no interest in trying to sell me the vehicle. I asked about the incentives in CX5s.. and he said the only incentives were the loyalty program for customers who already owned a Mazda, and a military incentive. Their website was advertising $500 customer cash back.. something the salesperson never mentioned.. I asked .. are you firm on the price? And he said thats the price, no other words came out of his mouth other than is there anything else I can help you with? In my opinion it is definitely not a typical dealership, maybe I just had high expectations..

I am updating my previous review of Mazda of Escondido. My previous review was a poor one on Mazda of Escondido for a miscommunication on the part of a salesman involving a navigation option. Very shortly after my review I was contacted by a very courteous and concerned customer service employee Hilary to discuss my issue. Hilary was very nice and apologized for the miscommunication and went out of her way to make me, a loyal Mazda owner satisfied. She resolved the issue immediately and had me come down to the dealership to fix the navigation unit issue. I have to say that I was impressed with this dealerships response to my unhappy review. The sale was already made and technically they did not have to go out of thier way to make things right but they did! This response has changed my perception of Mazda of Escondido and I will be happy to refer and hopefully buy a new CX-9 from them in the near future for my wife. Thank you again Hilary for all you did in making a Mazda customer happy.

Let me start off by saying DO NOT BUY A USED CAR FROM HERE. This place likes to play little mind games with you and will tell you anything to make you happy all while being extremely dishonest. We bought a 2008 GMC Acadia from here in March. We had an amazing salesman Roland, he and wida in special financing up at Honda were absolutely amazing. I could go on and on about how above and beying those two went for us.Heres the issue. When we bought the car it had a few issues that were supposed to be fixed to make the car safe for us. We were expecting a baby the week after we bought the car. The baby is the reason we bought a bigger car so it could accommodate us and our 3 children comfortably and they were fully aware of that! It needed a sensor for the hood, airbags also needed some attention. The most important thing we needed fixed was the wheel, it makes a very loud noise when stopping and its extremely wobbly. We told Allen specifically that we had to have all of this fixed by the following Thursday so we would have our car back in time to bring our new baby home. He assured us it would be. And gave us a loaner car in the mean time which only fit our two kids, it would not fit our newborn, so he said if it wasnt ready by Thursday it would be by Monday at the latest and they would give us a bigger loaner car to fit our kids and bring baby home. well Monday rolls around and the car isnt ready. And they were now refusing to give us a bigger car so our baby could not go to his first appointment, I could not go to my check up after a c section because we did not all fit and I could not drive yet. We called every day trying checking up on it and it wasnt ready.We finally spoke to Allen again after I had to physically go in to Mazda 4 days after having a c section and he said they were not fixing it and the car was not approved so they are holding onto it until it was approved THEN they would fix it. Uh wait what?! I signed the contract already a week ago. The car is MINE. Nobody could call and tell me this they kept this from us for a week. Finally I contacted wida and she was very upset they were telling me this. She said my car has been approved and to go get it and contacted Allen to set it strait and he still insisted it wasnt. Wida is the person in special financing. She knows the car was approved, she did it after all! But Allen wanted to play games. Finally we get the car after going through hell and back. And they DIDNT FIX the tire. The most important thing! They said nothing was wrong with it. So I took it my my mechanic. He said it is loose and needs a wheel bearing and axel. That is a safety concern! We bring it back to Mazda to have Andrew look at it and again they say nothing is wrong. The said they did a safety check on it before putting it on the lot. Do you know what a safety check to them is? Its making sure it starts and has good breaks and tired in it. They dont care about any safety concerns such as our issue. So now were are paying for a car that has a major issue, it now smokes, has a terrible oil leak and it has a check engine light on a month after purchasing. Allen is refusing to fix it, or even split the cost! He is extremely rude to us when we come in and now ignores our calls. Please do not ever buy a car from these people no matter how much they seem to want to help you. You will regret it 100%.

Where to start?! I stopped in on Monday (Memorial Day) to trade in my CX-5 for a new one. Took it for a drive with Barb Sullivan. We worked out some numbers and because the banks were closed they said check back with us tomorrow. Okay, fine.So next day comes around, nothing, no word. I contact Barb and get a response that she was out of the office and would get back to me the next day (Wednesday), again nothing. I reach out again and she acted like she was putting in all this effort to get a hold of me which only happened after I sent her a message. She asked me the same questions I answered on Monday again, did you not even pay attention to what I told you? Regardless, still no progress with anything. So I was told they would get back to me.Nothing heard from them on Thursday, I make another call and was told they would get back to me later, later as in the same day! But the day ends with not one call or message!Next day (Friday) nothing again! So I call to speak to a manager who then forwards me to Barb. She made it sound like they have been scrambling on my paperwork only to tell me they werent able to get me the numbers I was hoping for and that she thought they could do. Seriously?! It took them a whole week to figure that stuff out?!I told Barb I wasnt happy with any of this, why did it take so long to get back to me, why wasnt I kept in the loop? But she made it sound like she was the one inconvenienced and was very rude, no empathy what-so-ever.This would have been my second vehicle with this dealership and my 4th Mazda but after this experience I wont be going back to this dealership or to Mazda ever again.

The service people were fine. The product is not. I bought a 2016 CX5. Mazda does not stand behind their product. I paid 2 thousand plus for the navigation system. After 4 years the navigation system went out. I went into the dealership to get it fixed. They stated it would cost 140 dollars for diagnostic test plus a few hundred dollars to fix it. Also my Bluetooth phone system, broke. My call history would not show up. Mazda could not fix it. My front light the cosmetic part burned out on the right front driver side. It looks weird. I went to Mazda to repair it and they stated it would cost 1 thousand dollars to repair. I just bought my 4th and last Mazda. Mazda needs to fix their loyalty program. The next car I purchase will be a car that the company stands behind their product.

I was unhappy with the waiting area. Before the waiting area was basically on the showroom floor.We were treated special, free bottled water, coffee and popcorn. Now the waiting area is in a closed in room. Free water out if a water spotted drinking fountain, free coffee, and snacks from a vending machine. Who carries cash these days?The water spotted drinking fountain turned me off.To me that would be the same as drinking from the hose. I wasnt able to snack on anything I dont carry cash. Plus my car wasnt ready when they said it would be I was told 3:20. It was brought out until about 3:50. I could not hear the service rep, Paul. He spoke so very softly. I brought in a coupon and wasnt sure it would be honored until I left.

I went here with a coworker who was debating on a CX-5 or Toyotas Rav4. After countless stops in Carlsbad and Poway, we ended up here. Unlike the surly salesman in Carlsbad Toyota (rudely dismissed with his business card), the gentleman here kindly showed us what was in stock and for what price. The budget was reaching its tipping point, so we took a timeout. Fortunately, they had the best coffee machine out of the four dealers we went to! That alone was worth the time spent. Anyway, after we caught our breath, my coworker captured lightning in a bottle and struck the deal of a decade (this was 2019) on a snazzy, pearl white CX-5. The not-so-slimy salesman even got him to get the extra package with trunk assist, etc. Pleasant experience. Even though I was tagging along, now I know which dealers to skip and which to visit.

Excited about the deal Mazda of Escondido offered on an oil change, I took my 2003 Miata in. The service upon arrival was great and took very little time. I received a call from the service person stating that her technicians recommend an Air Filter (because mine is dirty) at a cost of $55. She said they also recommended that I get a DECARB. I dont even know what that is but it would cost me $145.After the call, I stopped by an auto parts store and picked up an air filter for $16.When I ask Ashley why such a big price difference. She said the filter alone was $30 which I must assume that the other $25 is for installation. She said this as if it was an explanation. From the time I popped the hood, opened the two pop latched and completed the job took me all of about ONE MINUTE. This price disparity should be sent to someone who can do something about this RIPOFF.In regard to the RECARB. I have a 2003 Mazda Miata, It has 37,000 miles on it and it is in outstanding condition. Obviously, the technician was giving me a solution to a problem I did not have. I didnt report any problems when I dropped the car off.I hope that my next experience with this dealership ends with a much happier customer.

Extremely disappointed with this dealership. They sold my fiance a used SUV with 4 different brand of tires each with a different tread pattern. She took the vehicle in today bc she had a slow leak in the front tire and a nail in the back tire. Upon service they informed her that the back 2 tires were bald and that they were not able to repair the tire with the nail bc of where it had punctured it.She then left the dealership and went to discount tire and had to replace the back 2 tires.How dare you sell a used vehicle with bald unsafe tires to a customer. I bought a 2016 CX-5 in October and overall had a pretty smooth experience. The glitch came when my sales person failed to call me back to have my roof racks installed. She claimed she had called and left a message. She implied it was MY fault for not having received her message (go figure?!). I let it go at that point figuring she must be having a bad day.(though I NEVER saw a missed call or VM). That was settled shortly thereafter.Then, due to a broken console latch, I called my salesperson again (I figured I would go through proper channels as the car ONLY 5 months old). I had left a message only to not have my call returned- AGAIN! I politely called back and she snapped at me as if I were a child well I left a message in your phone and it was YOUR voice and name on that out going message... I asked her to repeat the number. She had been calling the wrong number! She did NOT even take a minute to acknowledge her error nor apologize. To this day nithing of an apology has been said. Went to look at a CX-9 today. Was low-balled on the trade-in so I asked what the low offer was based on. I was told the manager (short, with an overly groomed goatee) stated there was overspray under the hood indicative of prior repaired damage. This is untrue. There is no overspray. There was no prior damage. I called him a liar and left. Had his offer not been based on an easily disproven lie, I was willing to negotiate. The mere fact that the manager resorted to lying to justify a low offer reinforces the stereotype of car salespersons being slime balls. I dont do business with liars.

I had a great experience buying my CX-5. There was absolutely no pressure to buy and the salesman (Baruc) was very helpful. I just wanted to test drive the car but knew if I liked it Id most likely buy it (but didnt let Baruc know that). Well, I liked it! Now I had to choose a color. Baruc brought out all three colors I was considering and parked them side by side so I could compare. The gray was gorgeous but seamed a little too masculine. I loved the white one and if I could have gotten black wheels from the dealership I would have chosen it. But in the end the black CX-5 prevailed. Three days later and Im still feeling good about it. Lol. They worked with me and got me a great deal...almost exactly what I was looking to pay each month. I was very pleased.I love my Mazda.- its comfortable, quiet, loaded and beautiful. I would 100% recommend Mazda of Escondido.

Update: As of oct 9 2021. I called Mazda of Escondido so I can update my 2015 mazda 3 software to enable CarPlay. Me knowing this was possible. I was told this wasn’t possible since my “car wasn’t compatible”. I called Mazda Carlsbad and asked them the same question and told me that my car was compatible, so I went there and they ended up getting my business. I dropped my 5 star review to 3 stars.5/5Andrew Peet and most of the people here are friendly, at least every one that has helped me out. I also bought a 2015 Mazda 3 s touring here and I got a really good deal on it.

An update is coming for the Karr security system hopefully the app will actually work now. It doesnt really (waste of money)I had to get an oil change and I have a list of 19 issues with my Mazda 3 2019. They are separate from the 4 recalls that affected my car. I hope they can fix it otherwise I will keep bringing it back for each problem individually.This is my 4th Mazda and I am very disappointed in this car. I hope its not a lemon. I should have kept my 2016.

Went in for the airbag recall and they told me that when they fix the recall they noticed that the airbag light stayed on and wanted $500 to try and fix it and it could be way more. The Manager did nothing really to help fix it. NOT A TRUSTWORTHY PLACE TO DO BUSINESS.

Bought a used car from here October of 2015. Within a week the gas gauge was broken. Two weeks later the tire started to scrape against something when we turned left. By January we drove a short 400 miles on it, and it sprang three different oil leaks unknown to us which destroyed the engine and the car vehicle was scrapped for salvage because the $2500 to fix it wasnt worth the 3100 I paid for the car.In short, they sold us a lemon. But law doesnt protect the consumer in this case so there gonna get away from it. Would never buy a car from here again!
