I was engaged by their rep Bo Sullivan since I own smoke shops. He guarantee me one percent flat rate. Within a month and a half his lies came to light and it cost me hundreds. I do not recommend this company, especially if the representative Bo Sullivan has anything to do with it. For a month and a half I engaged him trying to get straight answers and never could. This is a company not to be trusted.

As a telehealth provider, we had a highly negative experience with Maverick Payments. They banned our account without any notice or chargebacks, claiming we were breaking Visa and Mastercard rules due to our online prescription services. This is patently false, as we are LegitScript certified, which means we are approved by Visa and Mastercard. Only LegitScript certification holders can have a merchant account for telehealth treatments involving no card present transactions. Maverick also mistakenly listed us as an online pharmacy when we are solely the doctor arm of our practice.Despite having our attorney write a detailed response debunking their claims, Maverick has ignored our attempts to resolve the issue and is holding our funds, effectively stealing from us. Business owners should beware of Maverick Payments. They are not educated on the most current rules and standards for merchant processing and have terrible customer service. We strongly advise against doing business with them.June 28th UPDATE!In your response, you stated that you identified our business as a card-not-present pharmacy merchant that processes transactions for prescription products without proper medical consultation or prescriptions. However, this assessment is inaccurate and fails to consider the actual practices of our company.First and foremost, we do not collect payments prior to purchase. Like other reputable businesses in our industry, we preauthorize payments to ensure the validity of the transaction. If you had taken the time to contact us and discuss your concerns, we would have gladly provided you with this information and worked towards resolving any issues you perceived. Instead, you chose to abruptly shut down our account, causing significant disruption to our business operations.Business owners should be aware that Maverick Payment appears to make decisions without gathering all the necessary facts. Not sure about other peoples issues, but after switching to Maverick from our longtime (10+ years) processor a couple of years ago, weve had zero problems. We always had good rates but when we needed to find a new processor, Maverick came in better than the others by far. Our old merchant services contact was trying to broker us up with another firm, but when he heard what Maverick quoted us his response was that we were paying less than the processor HE was trying to hook us up with. 10/10 stars would recommend. Also, it looks like alot of the negative reviews are from Adult Services sites, we sell glass art.

Unfortunately, this company has ended up being a scam. They tack on falsified fees and the watered-down dashboard does not provide the adequate tools to manage your account. They dont even allow you to properly pay your bill, leaving your company stranded and unable to process orders. The customer support is little to know help and has caused alarm to our legal team now due to their unethical behavior. I would strongly suggest finding another payment processor.

Ill go ahead and give them a review since I see so many bad ones.Maverick came throigh for me. I had a more lets just say mature business. Only got 10% reserve which is small and even my fees per transaction went down.Although of course it wasnt Maverick processing my payments but EMS which they referred me to, in the end, EMS screwed me not Maverick.Idk whos complaining her about shifting agreements lol. After reading why they increased your reserve I can see why lol. I never had that happen to me and had no issues. All my issues were with EMS. FK EMSAnd people leaving 1 star reviews never having worked with Maverick because they rejected your application for an escort site??Lmao you realize no payment processor has touched escort sites since 2018. Some people are such crybabies.Marvin came through as much as he could.EMS sucks. But its all good Im with stripe now and have a backup with start merchant services.

If you are here to read reviews, you are smart doing due diligence. Maverick Payments will review your application, and if approved, they will send you an agreement and lock you into an agreement for 3 YEARS, with zero explanation of their Early Termination Fee. DO NOT sign their agreement until you know what you are signing. Feel free to see all the other poor reviews they have. Its clear either their staff lacks complete client relation skills, or their business practice is extremely predatory. Save your time, energy, money, and emotions, and shop somewhere else for a payment processor.

We signed documents at a 10% reserve for 100k and as soon as we crossed 50k they put us on a 50% reserve with absolutely 0 reason provided. This was not our agreement.Now that we have crossed 100k they are taking 100k reserve. They have still not paid us the 50% owed to us and when we keep asking they avoid the question. I am super disappointed with the transparency of this company and service we have received. Steve initially was great to deal with and we have lost trust in this company.We have several partners that require a merchant and we will be suggesting them to go elsewhere. AVOID.

Based on them, I have withdrawn my application with Maverick, especially as I just got a form to sign with no indication of what I was signing and no copy of the signed form sent to me after. I called Maverick after and was told it is a 10% reserve hold. Lol. I dont think so. Ill carry on with Shopify Payments thank you very much. Goodbye Maverick. BEWARE!! They said they would hold 10% of the funds for 3 months and will release if the chargebacks are under 3%. Its been 5 months, and they have not released ANY money when my chargebacks are 1%!!!!They have $60,000.00 in reserve and are still keeping 10% of all my sales! Now, Im stuck!! If I move processors, they will keep the $60,000.00 for 6 months!!! DONT GET TRAPPED LIKE ME!!!!

Use this company was a nightmare，they remove my bank account $28000 last month. Then I contacted my agent they told me to finish the PCI，but after I finished the PCI，they still not refund my money. And this morning they tried to charge my account $68000 wirhout any notice and response. Update 2023: think twice about your business model? after processing more than 30k in one month maverick held 21k funds, i recently open another business very similar the old one just different names, i also tried to give a second chance maverick since last time they resolved my issue about 10% reserved which it was released after 6 months and disputes charges lower than 1% out of 1k+ transactions per month. after doing 20k in sales they decided to do another review, BE AWARE THEY DO 2 REVIEWS ONE BEFORE AND ONE DURING YOU PROCESSING IF THEY DONT AGREE WITH YOU BUSINESS MODEL YOU DONE, EVEN YOU GO ACCEPTED WHEN YOU APPLIED, They WILL TERMINATE CONTRACT AND PUT 100% OF YOUR SALES TO RESERVED WITHOUT NOTICE, IF THEY EXERCISE THEIR RIGHT TO CLOSE YOU ACCOUNT THEY WILL KEEP THE RESERVED MONEY SO NOW THEY HAVE 21k IN RESERVED TO REVIEW In 3 MONTHS ! ONCE YOUR ACCOUNT IS CLOSED YOU CANT REFUND, CUSTOMER WILL PUT A DISPUTE WHICH IS BAD. This was the last time i applied to maverick, they consider HIGH RISK merchandise service with an agreement of 10% reserved of your sales DAILY but not even that can work with you if they do not agreed with the business model. unfortunately they have the money to continue operating but in my case held 21k which is use to continue operating is the worst for me. this company is not a hight risk merchandise service, they do whatever they want with your account.Updated: I got a called from agent to resolve my issue, they will open my account in order to proceed refunds and stop any future disputes. Also they will release my reserved funds within 3-5 business days. i wish they could do that before i decided to leave a review i talk 2 times with customers service, the agent that help me with the application and also open a ticket to resolved reserved funds. they did not help on time, but they corrected the issue. im glad they did. I leave 4 starts because they could prevent this issue.I suggest not to signup with this company unless you ok with them keeping money to prevent chargesbacks, i had 6 moths with them doing great, i agreed to do reserved since i have no issue before just a regular chargesback below 15$ around 2-6 disputes a month out of 1,000+ transactions a month. on the 6 month doing about 40k a month i request to release my reserved amount which is about 12k, they denied it saying that i dont meet the history transaction. HOW ? chargesbacks were below 6 for the last 6 months doing1k+ transaction, i provided documents like bank statements so they can verified i have funds in my account for any chargesbacks, also they dont take chargesback fees from reserved, they keep taking charges back at the end of the month from your bank account. Since they denied multiple times at 6 months of been processing with no issue, customer service said i have to wait until i get no disputes in order to release reserved funds, which is fine, but the issue comes i need to refund a customer but i CANT and they CANT do it either because my account is closed, NOW I WILL GET A DISPUTE because i can process refund anymore, now they will keep holding my money until i get 0 disputes. AGAIN, DO NOT Sign Up worst company i ever had, 2 business and this one was the worst, agent who took my application was kind and great customer service, i hope he work with another company, now im very working with another company no reserved, less % and my company is high risk but maverick deff was a bad experience.

Very disappointed in this company. We hired them for our business and have been paying high fees yet we have had a few bad experiences. They do not support or provide timely and proper guidance for your business in the case of chargebacks. Also do not count on them providing you timely 1099s. We may switch to another provider.Update: Maverick did in fact give me a credit as they admitted that no one had told me to contact the cardholders bank during the chargeback dispute. A merchant support company should tell their customers how to continue if the cardholder wants to reverse a chargeback. The 1099 issue was for last year not this year but yes they did on my request provide me with a timely 1099 this month. So I will give the company credit and I take back my above response. I will stand by Maverick Payments=)

BE AWARE all of the 5 star reviews are fake reviews.I have dealt with many processors and have the experience to write this review.I strongly advise you stay away from getbankcard and Maverick Payments.Maverick partners with another agency named BANKCARD, and let me tell you - these two pathetic companies will drag you through the mud and take every penny possible with unsubstantiated and exagerated fees.They will also hold as much of your money as possible for as long as possible. Please do yourself a favor and strongly consider a different processor.
