I’ve been bringing my car in to Matt way before he moved to this location. I remember when I went through a divorce, my then husband said that as long as I kept the GLI, to always bring it to Matt. Everyone there is super helpful and knowledgeable. The peace of mind that comes from taking my car in for service/repairs to a place where integrity and good ethics are practiced, is unmatched. The only reason I’ve kept my car this long is because of that and the only reason I’ll get another VW or Audi is because I have a trustworthy mechanic. Thanks y’all.

I have been coming to Matts for years now! Highly recommended this place, and pricing is reasonable. Also, they will tell you when you should replace your parts, and when you do not. Unlike dealerships, which they always tried to ask you to replace everything on the spot. Very honest business, and the workers are friendly as well!

I have taken my MK4 R32 and MK7.5 Golf R here several times for many services. The guys at the shop get the job done quickly and correctly and maintain a very good level of communication. Matt ask questions and listens to the customer. He was able to pin point our recurring limp mode issue based on his knowledge of VW tdi motors and our conversation regarding the history of repairs and symptoms.The two previous shops billed us hundreds of dollars for unneeded parts and shoddy work.We replaced a badly damaged and poorly repaired, (by prev. mechanic) wiring subharness.Car is running great and I highly recommend this shop. 2011 Jetta tdi.

Consistently one of the best auto shops around. Mechanics pay attention to the little details, checking belts, tire wear, fluids, etc and warn early of needed preventative maintenance items. They really know VWs, the quirks and such, diagnose well, and do a good job in repairs. Not one of those rush in and out shops that only do what you tell them - those dont check your car - so call, drop off the car, enjoy an afternoon away while the work gets done. No, not local Vietnamese in Little Bolsa cheap, but for the level of service, expertise, and clean, neat waiting area with comfy seats, highly recommended for anyone with a VW. Both friends with Bugs have theirs serviced here, always a good experience.

Found this shop after cross-referencing Reddit, Yelp, and Google. I was looking for a solid, independent garage for my Audi A5’s 20k service after getting quoted $700+ at the dealership. Called a few times to ask about oil changes and the 20k service and was able to talk to both Matt and Mike. I felt they were honest people with reasonable and transparent pricing so ended up scheduling with them a few days later.Matt was the one who ended up working on my car and it took 3-4 hours or maybe shorter. I decided to wait there and work on my laptop on one of the two small couches they have in the front but I think most decided to drop off and come back later to pick up. My final cost was around $200, which I thought was very reasonable. Matt was very personable and knowledgeable and I believe he did good work. It’s always difficult to find a reliable and honest shop for the first time but I think this place is a great one if you have an Audi or VW. It’s a bit of a drive for me but I’ll still be coming back for future services!

Matt is awesome! I brought my Audi, a car that he specializes in, and he knew what was up with it and was very knowledgeable in giving me advice on how to maintain it. It was to the point where I even brought my Mercedes to him because he uses top tier German tier German products. I trust this shop and the staff, they’re cool people and easy to talk to and have a laugh with. Very reasonable as well.

Well I think Ive found my new go to for car service. Sent a request for a quote at 11:30ish and within 15 minutes got a call with a price and told me to come on in.When I arrived I noticed they had different tiers of oil changes and decided to go with the platinum oil change as Im getting up there in mileage. Car is running so much better the kind of rough idle I had is now gone it is quieter and just drives better all around. Even took care of a bulb that was out I was having trouble finding.Definitely gonna be coming back soon for a more thorough servicing.Price was extremely fair for what I got.

I have revised my review. I did not have the electrical knowledge to accept the fix of my brake lights staying on. I purchased the 2014 vw beetle with the conditioned mentioned. The electrical testing was labor intensive. When the brake light switch replacement was not the fix the search eventually lead to the fuse box. A fuse was in the wrong location. Matt was honest and showed me the fix. I do believe looking in the fuse box for the fix was not at the top of the list. The last visit he did an ARP stage one tune. Big difference in performance and lot more fun to drive.

Matt has been working on my cars for many years, ever since my factory warranty expired.I honestly have a problem changing the vehicle maker because I dont want to look for another mechanic. He is an excellent mechanic who used to work at the dealership service before opening his own shop, thus you know you are taking your vehicle to a VW and Audi specialist. His services are very reasonably priced and he will get things done much faster than dealership. He is also an honest person. I had cases when I wanted to replace certain parts and Matt would tell me that it is not necessary to do so, or would tell me to check if this is still covered by the warranty. He remained humble and honest all these years even though his business has grown quite a bit. It is not easy to find a 5 star rated car shop nowadays! His service location is great with plenty of parking space and a nice brewery located 500 ft away away in case you are waiting for your cars oil change or a minor repair. I feel blessed to have such a repair shop available to me.

This is the best mechanic I have ever gone to, and I have dealt with my fair share of car troubles. I have a 2014 VW Jetta that had a fried ECM and wouldnt start. The dealership wanted nearly two grand between a new part and labor, and claiming there may be additional repairs needed for additional costs. I thought it was a lost cause and I would have to scrap the car, but in a last ditch effort I purchased a used ECM for $50 and brought it and my car to Matt to see if he could program and install it. I had my car back within two days running better than before. They were reasonably priced for the high level of quality, care, and expertise I received. Both Matt and Mike were extremely communicative and kept me updated, they were honest and friendly.Exceptional service and superior work! I will only ever be bringing my car to them from now on. I highly recommend going to them for any and all car related concerns.

He became my mechanic last year after a shady mechanic elsewhere told me I needed to replace my timing belt @ $1,000+ dollars. My neighbor suggested VW Car Care Plus for a second opinion and Matt told me he would bet his life’s savings that my 2009 Jetta did NOT EVEN HAVE a timing belt! So thankful an honest guy like Matt and his business exist. They restore my faith in the car repair industry. Really great experience! I took my car to another shop and they couldn’t figure out what was wrong. They said the next step was to pay $400 to “check the wiring.” Brought it to Matt and he was able to figure it out right away and figured out that it was a $29 coil. He also fixed a bunch of bulbs that were out and cleaned my a/c and the engine casing. The total for everything was $118. Super knowledgeable, fast, friendly, and most of all honest. They have a customer for life :)

I have been to 4 seasons tuning, multiple VW Dealerships, and a fair few other specialists.He or Mike always answer the telephone and you are always greeted professionally. They get straight to the point and book you in. Does not matter if you’re car is stock or modified to your taste, Matt and his staff know what they are doing. They run everything by you and offer advice. No monkey business at all and the prices are extremely fair.it’s hard to find mechanic who is a perfectionist and works on your car like it were his.A prime example of this is when I came by for the first time back in 2016 and I simply needed a pollen filter and oil change but my rear sway bar was clanking and my door was squeaking. Matt didn’t even think twice. He took care of both and was more than happy to see a satisfied customer that became a customer for life. A year later I was back complaining about a new noise that at the time we could not figure out after a test drive as it would not replicate the noise (as it always goes) but Matt said to email him with a recording of the noise and then asked for a video. I took it back in and he solved the issue.I can safely say i’ve been to Matt’s 7 or more times and he always takes care of my 2010 MKVI 2.5L Golf.He’s taken care of my UM SRI Manifold, Suspension (Bilsteins & HR springs), Brakes, MAP sensors, Rotors, Sway bar (neuspeed), Headlights (ECU settings), Exhaust (Techtonics), etc.I’m sure there’s more...I assure you that you will not be disappointed. My family, who now own, VWs made the switch to Matt right after I did and they are extremely happy too.Like I said, it does not matter if your car is the same as it was when you bought it or it’s APR tuned with all the fun toys that can be bolted on... Matt and his team know what to do and you’re back on the road with the absolute knowledge that your care is 100% safer and more reliable knowing Matt took care of it like it were his own car.

Twice now Ive taken my vw in. The first time I was told it was a warranty issue and to take it to the dealer. This last time he checked the car and advised me to wait on a fix until the issue happened more often than a couple times (it was not a worrisome issue, just bugged me). Now what mechanic is that honest, hopefully many, but so trust this shop.

I like this place and the owners are nice, helpful and strait up honest. I recieved fantastic service and will gladly give my two thumbs up. You need VW work, you dont need to look further. My work was needed was routine maintenance for a failed emissions part, but because they were helpful both on the phone and at the shop I just said take care of it. In minutes it was done! I drove over an hour because this shops yelp reviews were so solid. I drive a 2015 Passat TDi and knew it required a specialty shop. Heres my experience:1. I messaged the owner thru Yelp and asked for a quote.2. Within twenty minutes he had a price for me and was willing to take the service on at 5 pm.3. If youre looking for a mechanic thats honest, professional, knows VWs inside and out, does great work and charges fair prices, then dont waste your time looking anywhere else.
