The service and price I received from Matthews Mattress on Greenback was exceptional. I visited the store a few times and also did some comparison shopping at other places. I believe I received the best price possible for the type of mattress I chose and I was given a very considerate veterans discount. My bed was delivered 3 days (my choice) later and the delivery crew were friendly, efficient and thorough. I would definitely buy from Matthews again and I highly recommend them if you’re looking for a bed!

I had a wonderful experience picking out bedding for my husband. Salesperson Doug was very patient answering my questions and I did not feel pressured or rushed. The gentlemen who came to remove the old bedding and set up the new were very nice and efficient completing everything including all clean up in about 20 minutes. And the price I paid was very reasonable. I will shop at Matthews Mattress again and recommend it.

Once I finally made my mind up (after several trips to other stores, then back to Matthews Mattress) the process was easy and fast. The delivery team called before they were arriving. Buying our mattress was an easy, seemless process. They even included a discount for our sons honorable discharge from the military. All instructions given to us along with delivery expecting occurred with no problems. They were in and out within 5 minutes. Im a repeat customer to Matthews Mattress because they provide awesome customer service, and their products are great quality for reasonable prices. Both of my purchases were the Mathews Mattress branded products. I have two bulging discs in my lower back and was desperately needing a new mattress. Jason at the Citrus Heights location was very knowledgeable and super helpful with showing me products that I was searching for. He let me take my time trying the half a dozen or so mattresses I was choosing between, and I never once felt rushed or pressured on any particular product. I made my choice, and Jason discounted the sale price further to honor my departed father who was a veteran in the Air Force as well as a 30 year veteran in the Stockton police department. Thanks a bunch, I can get out of bed with out pain on my new Kristen ET Queen!

I bought a new Split Cal King with adjustable foundation from Matthews Mattress on Greenback. It was the House Brand which was more comfortable than the big-named brands and less expensive too. Overall the mattress is very comfortable and the adjustable foundation provides infinite comfort positioning for whatever you like. HB was extremely knowledgable about all the product in the store and very helpful explaining the difference in all products. He quickly guided us through various models so we could make the best selection for our needs. The next day, we brought in some dear friends who also bought essentially the same bed and foundation as ours. Highly recommended to anyone who needs to shop for a new bed.

We took our time choosing a new mattress. Not only did we come to Matthews but we checked other stores and online sites. The salesman at Matthews spent a lot of time with us and had a lot of experience with the products. But we did not feel pressured. Our new mattress and platforms were delivered in one week - earlier than we expected! Good warranty and exchange policy (90 days) as well.

After doing a week of mattress shopping, I stopped in at Matthews Mattress on Greenback in Citrus Heights. Nick was the salesperson. After all the mattress stores I had been to, I learned more from him than all the other stores combined. Extremely knowledgeable about all the brands they carry. After explaining to him what I wanted from a new mattress, he pointed out several different options for me to try. When I found the one I liked best, he gave me a great price on it and included a mattress protector and free delivery. So the mattress was delivered today. My delivery window was 11 to 2. At about 145 I was wondering if they were coming when I received a call from the delivery men who explained that they were running a little late but should be at my house by 215. They arrived at 215 and apologized. I understand how things can come up, but the fact that they called me to let me know is great customer service. From sales to delivery, this was a great customer service experience for me. Thank you!-Jill Conner

We purchased our Mathews Mattress a year and a half ago from the Citrus Heights location. We bought the Michelle Pillow Top from their “Premium Collection”. The service in the store was stellar! Our salesperson, also the manager was Porter. After a year the mattress was sagging and had impressions of nearly two inches on both my wife’s side and mine. I went to the store where again I experienced nothing but professionalism. The salesperson working let me know that we had bought one of their best and top-selling mattresses. He also said it had a 20 non-prorated warranty. He showed me the new Michelle mattress. I told him my situation and he said they would send the warranty team out to check it out. He put everything in the computer and said I would hear from them in 3-4weeks. He explained due to covid everything was taking longer. At just about 5 weeks I heard from them and they scheduled a time to come out. They were a couple of hours late but did call to let us know they were running behind. They measured the impressions and said yes, based on what they saw it would be exchanged. They said it would take 4-6 weeks before it could happen. Again, blaming covid. Getting frustrated because I had not heard a word, I tried to call them. I made a few calls to the warranty department always getting voicemail, leaving messages every time. Finally, I got a call from the warranty manager who wanted to meet at a store to see what mattress we would like to exchange it for. I told him I wanted the same one, the Michelle. He informed me that I had was last year’s model and this year’s model had a few upgrades so it would cost $500 more. What the??? He could tell I wasn’t happy about this and offered to meet me halfway at $250. I called a couple of their stores and went into one asking about the price of the Michelle… yes, the retail was a little higher, however, every one of their stores said they would sell me the mattress for the same price I paid for mine. When I told the warranty manager that he held his ground and would not budge on the $250 exchange price. I reluctantly agreed. I have to tell you this was worse than any car buying experience ever… Hell, I was worse than dealing with Comcast!Nearly 4 months after the initial complaint, the new mattress was delivered… again two hours late, but it got here.Truly the in-store experience was outstanding, but that’s where it ends.Based on my experience with the Mathews Mattress Warranty department manager, Patrick, I will not be purchasing anything from them again. Nor will I refer them to anyone. I had been saying great things about them prior to this and had referred a few people.Too bad… All this after such great in-store service.

I had gone out mattress shopping because mine was on it’s last days.I am on a fixed income and also in possession of a bad back.I have had many surgeries so finding a good one I could afford was looking a bit impossible.Delivery was also several weeks out.Stopped in a Matthews mattress store because of a sign they had that read “family owned since 1991”.Sounded good to me. The man introduced himself as John. I explained I was 83 years old, on a very FIXED income, budget $699.00, needed xFirm and had 5 back surgeries. Also it would be very hard to wait several weeks. In about 10 minutes time, I was the owner of a Matthews XFirm mattress, priced considerably less than sticker price, sale price 699.00, and was to be delivered the next day from their warehouse.It was brought right on time, placed on my bed frame and the old one taken away.It is extremely comfortable and feels great on my back.Wonderful company. I have bought a few mattresses in the past online, it was an ok mattress. I started having back pain and new it was time for a new mattress. After hours searching the web and looking at all the options I decided I needed to go in person. My first two stops were hard sell salesman. They were more interested in the sale than my comfort. I searched on Yelp and found Mathews. Great reviews, I will give it a try. WOW. No hard sale. And great relevant information. The manager had me try various mattresses increasing in softness until I felt it was the one. He left me to roll around and settle in a good while. Finally, I made my selection. The purchase was great, delivery was exceptional and OMG I am sleeping like a baby! At first, I thought it was too soft, but I didnt have a backache in the morning, so I slept well. After now a week or more I anticipate crawling into the most comfortable, softest, yet supportive mattress ever. Thank you so much for helping me identify what I needed. I am so grateful. Nick at Matthews mattress hooked me up immeasurably. I was really impressed by the delivery procedure. The boys reached my house. They dropped off my California king mattress situated it in the frame and took my old mattress away. It took them about five minutes-LOL. We are having some of the best nights sleep that we have had in years. I had forgotten what a difference a new mattress makes. Spend a little money and get the best one that you can afford.
