Nice but small. The building is huge, but where the toys are is about the size of friendly express. I did buy a Barbie on sale for 10.00. The rest of the items are about the same price as in store. Still had fun looking.

The store was right next to my hotel. Thought I go in just for the heck of it. It was just okay. Nothing fancy, just toys to sell to you. I was expecting a place that would be a little more livelier. Otherwise, it was ok.

Great store and an even better company, love it! Good place to find a wide selection of Hot Wheels, even treasure Hunts! Sometimes you can even find RLC or Barbie signature products for sale here. Must visit frequently so you dont miss out.

... 《.. of course Im searching for the toys store!!!》 😉 ... its natural (at least for me🤭), climbing the stairs of the main building with the huge Mattel symbol !!!!! ... entering you will be welcomed by good people that will ask you if you are searching for the toys store, then they will explain to you that the store is right on the left side of the main building !!! Approaching to that, you will have a better look of the inside of the cafeteria, with a huge Barbie display!! .. finally, entering in the Mattel toys store, you will find your paradise!!!! 💖💞🪄✨️👑🩰📿🥿🪞🩺🪑🛏🛒If you buy something (I know you will do!!) and they will register your name for the first time (giving only name and surname, nothing more), you will have 1o% discount soon on your purchase!If I would be honest, I expected to find mooore Barbie dolls and more clothes! Actually, in a Walmart of Los Angeles I have found more Barbie dolls than this shop ...... ..Yes, I expected more ... its true that this is already written, but I didnt want to believe it😥P.S. all around there is Mattel area, by the way: there are many other buildings, in additional to the main one, belonging to Mattel ! The trip until here is worthy for whom loves Mattel s products!

Dear Mattel,We recently visited your headquarters. We booked a hotel the night before our cruise, and made only two stops while in California - your headquarters (our first destination to be sure we made it before closing) and the beach. My husband is 46 years old and has been a lover of hot wheels for about 42 or so of them. For his birthday, I made him storage for his favorite 96 of them. And the day we visited your headquarters just happened to be his birthday. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The collection we found there looked similar to what we might have found at your average Walmart. We read and also heard from one of your friendly and polite staff members that the collectible hot wheels are delivered each morning and gone within minutes of the store opening to people who have waited hours in line. My husband didn’t need anything valuable, but something branded as a “Mattel headquarters” hot wheels would have been lovely. The type of souvenir that you have tons of … with even more in the stock room … that is worth the same dollar years later as it’s worth the day you buy it. Heck, maybe its value even rises to three or four dollars because it’s only available at one location in the entire world … even though they’re available in mass quantities.I, personally, would have been happy to spend twenty or so dollars on a Mattel headquarters coffee mug - one with a Mattel headquarters logo and also featuring hot wheels and Barbie and splash of your other more popular brands.Also worth noting, your lobby is absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, we had to view it through glass and try to mostly unsuccessfully peek around hidden corners. It would be wonderful if that was available to people to walk-through during business hours of the store. My husband went to walk in the lobby as the door was open and was immediately yelled at that the lobby was closed. We apologized (for walking through an open door) and walked away sheepishly. On the way back from our disappointing visit to the store, I decided I would try knocking on the door and pleading my case to whomever answered, hoping for a little extra generosity. However, a woman who heard my knocking peaked her head out of the room that she was in only to disappear as quickly as she had appeared (presumably once she saw we were a family and obviously tourists). Had you charged us a couple bucks per person (to cover the cost of a person supervising the traffic), we would have been thrilled … as I assume the other dozen or so other people we saw in our minutes there would have been as well as they also wanted to get into the lobby.Just a couple of thoughts from loyal Mattel supporters.

Have to say was very disappointed in this place. Ive been wanting to stop by here for a long time. I live in St Louis Missouri. Was in California for my honeymoon and got the chance. I got to the store early before the opened. Got in line and had to scan a barcode to get inline to look at the Hotwheels. Two different ones. One for mainline and one for premium. My wife did one and I did the other. We were number 30 inline. As soon as they opened the store all the people ran right for the with the matchbox cars. One guy was pushing on my wife. People were acting crazy. We proceed to leave. You have to fight just to look at toy cars. Made the experience horrible for a Hotwheel collector.

First time visiting the Mattel Store it was a pretty cool and disappointing experience somewhat organized you have to be there really early to get some good stuff usually the first 3 people that go in will get everything no limit on the basic hot wheels for the premium is 1 per person and you have 60 seconds to get what you want and thats it I will go another day and hope is a better experience

Came here to buy some toys for my kid but..Security started to blame me because I haven’t seen that the place I parked my car is reserved. They could just tell where I should place the car. What they did?They started telling me that white person like me will not be able to come here no more. That’s what I get in place of “sir, you may use that parking place”I didn’t expect racism from any kind of employee of such cool company.But now I have a story to tell to all my friends.Thank you Mattel.
