The food was good. We ordered a large pizza, half Mary’s and half Hawaiian, for $35. While it wasnt the best pizza Ive ever had, it was decent, though the crust was quite thick.The wait time for the pizza was reasonable, and the restaurant wasn’t crowded.We also ordered a full loaf of bread for $20, which was a lot of bread! We ended up taking most of it home.The French fries were $6 and came in a small portion, suitable for an individual.The restroom was clean.Parking was easy with a 3-hour limit on the street.There’s a playground in the front crossing the street.

Door dashed a medium half and half pizza. Came to 50 dollars. It came super small and super dry. Barely any sauce. Will be ordering from Mary’s on hwy 12 from now on or round table. Although round table medium sizes are a lot bigger and less priced.

This very unpretentious, kids friendly, informal place to get good meal while enjoying Sonoma plaza. My pizza was pretty decent and Prosecco was bubbly just right. Everything was simple and enjoyable. Great place to have fun with kids and feel like home.

Toward the back of Sonoma Square, my wife and I discovered a Marys Pizza Shack beckoning us to stop by and enjoy a delicious lunch that only they can provide at an affordable price with generous portions. Their signature salad and fresh baked bread have no equal. We opted for their classic spaghetti and giant meatball meal. A wonderful sumptuous experience in a great location, that we want to experience over and over again.

We stopped here because we didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg at other restaurants in the square. We got three meals each out of a lunch menu item! They come with a soup or salad as well so this is for sure the place to go to stretch your dollar. The food was just okay but satisfied my empty stomach. They have indoor and protected outdoor seating as well.

We had a short trip to Sanoma and just wandered in here for lunch. Wonderful service, super welcoming and friendly, especially the manager. My wife even got given a small bowl of soup to try as a side. This was our last meal in the States and probably the best! Thanks guys

Visiting Sonoma for the first time and found Marys inviting. Not knowing the restaurant and getting great initial service about the menu, I asked our server Nineveh if this was a family owned business and if she was part of the family? She was not, although her attention was fantastic! The meatball sandwich was a fulfilling meal and small pizza was delicious. Reasonably priced and relaxing environment sitting outside near the fireplace. A true 5 star experience!

Their customer service is excellent and the atmosphere is very relaxed and Mary was such an amazing host who showed me how to put a pizza box together let me and my wife compete against one another to see who could make the most! I hate to say, but we had a generally disappointing experience here. The service was great, which earned a couple points, along with my meat patty which was good, but the salad my wife ordered as a meal was ultra basic and probably cost $2.50 in ingredients. An iceberg lettuce salad with some canned mixed beans, a slice of tomato and a couple slices of salami, isn’t really impressive. It was a lot of food, you won’t walk away hungry, just not necessarily satisfied.I hear the pizza is better. Stick with that if you’re going to order here.

A staple in Sonoma. I’ve had the pizza a few times and always leave desiring a bit more. They could be a bit more generous with the toppings (prices for a two topping large are right around $27-30) and there just doesn’t seem to be much seasoning. Crust is actually ok. The pasta needs salt for sure but...they don’t care salt. A bit odd.Pro move is to grab a few pizzas Togo and sit in the square.

Insulting and poor service. I understand the Covid 19 restriction and pressure and all - however, first the chef made a mistake with our pizza by adding chicken to the veg pizza. We accepted the mistake and waited for another one - after 50 minute wait, we got the pizza - this time the key ingredient- tomatoes were forgotten and then they added raw tomatoes on the top. I also asked the server to not box the pizza and bring it out in a plate - yet they ignored my request and boxed our pizza. On my further complaint and request for the chef to come out and apologize- nothing was done by the server just took the pizza off the bill. We left without the pizza with an absolute insulting and poor response experience.

Been going to Mary’s for many years. Last night the dinner was an absolute shock. Food and service very poor. Ordered a salad and hamburger and both came to the table at the same time. Hamburger was over cooked and dry. The waitress put the food on the table without any condiments and walked off. Empty appetizer dishes remained on the table throughout the meal. Water glasses remained empty the entire meal. Bathrooms are filthy and need to be serviced. Very disappointed in the whole evening.

Theres very little options for vegans in Sonoma. We stumbled upon Marys Pizza Shack, they had vegan cheese and vegan options. This is lovely to see. The pizza was so good that weekend forgot to take a picture until the end. Rhw service is great. This place has been around since 1959.Come enjoy the chill atmosphere!

My wife and I have been patronizing Marys Pizza Shack for quite a few years now. Im not gonna say Weve been coming here for 30 years, but I WILL say at least 8 or 10. We went to this particular restaurant in Sonoma (Spain street) again about a week ago, and we were treated like absolute DIRT by some childish little girl named Vanessa. I really dont understand how/why Marys would allow someone like this to deal directly with their customers. I later called the manager (Adam) to let him know how we felt, however, I quickly realized that Adam and Vanessa are like two peas in a pod. I found Adam to be very callus, unapologetic, and simply uninterested in what I had to say. I got the impression that he was totally uninterested in anything I had to say, and couldnt get me off his back soon enough. It was at that point that my wife and I decided that we will NEVER visit this Marys Pizza Shack again. We know our absence isnt going to cause them to close their doors, but they should keep in mind that its a lot easier to lose customers than it is to gain them. Well make you a deal though... you guys keep Vanessa and Adam in your restaurant, and well spend our money elswhere. 😉

I ate on the porch by the warmth of the open fireplace. The Grain Salad is a new menu choice. It came as I ordered, with no cranberries. It consisted of a large bowl of greens with a generous scoop of grain, chopped nut, and chickpea mixture in the center, small chunks of feta cheese, and a delicious, lemony dressing. The crunchy grain mixture was flavorful and added a great texture. It was the best salad I’ve ever had!

The Bad News: This place used to be our family go-to for a good meal. But over the years the menu has changed significantly, and the quality has declined. The service has been awful since the pandemic started.The Good News: I recently learned that Toto (a relative of Mary who has a pizza named after him) is the new owner, and he plans on returning some of the previous menu items. Excellent pizza and great service with outdoor seating right on the community square. We got the thin crust vegetable pizza and the house salad with housemade Italian dressing. The pizza tasted very fresh with a nice crisp in the crust. We shared the salad which worked well as a starter for us and we liked the house Italian dressing. Overall, a nice casual meal on the square for as reasonable a price as youre likely to find in town. We would definitely return.

We love being able to sit in the inside/outside area by the fireplace. I love their salads, my husband loves the spaghetti and giant meatball and my daughter and granddaughter love their pizza. So this was our first time at the Sonoma square location and as usual we ordered our regulars she ordered the protein plate with a side salad thousand on the side and a diet soda, She loves Marys salad! I ordered water with lemon and a pesto tortellini and a caesar salad no croutons. Like I said, we order this often and we both agree this was the best we ever have eaten. Worst service Ive ever had. I would not recommend them to anyone! It took well over an hour to get our food, and they werent even busy at all. People that came well after we were seated got their food before we did. The only reason we even got our food was after we did some inquiring. Lastly, the menu says chicken wings which is what I wanted but after over an hour when the food was finally brought out I was greeted with boneless wings. No mention anywhere on the menu that they are boneless. The food itself was descent but an hour wait for a slice of pizza, salad, boneless wings, and chicken Alfredo is not a proper way to provide customer service.Overall service is extremely slow, dont bother going there unless youre willing to wait anywhere from 45 minutes to well over 60 minutes to get your food. If I could give them zero stars I would.

There are days when its good and days when its bad. Idk how but sometimes they can get an order wrong (sometimes multiple times in a row), sometimes they forget to mention what is not available upon taking orders or they didnt know because no one told them. Im actually not sure what the male managers do there (from what Ive seen the female managers tend to try to resolve an actual issue), they tend to let mistakes fall on some of the employees (instead of correcting or finding solutions, it has happened infront of us).Overall, it should be a good experience?

This pizza place was excellent. I was initially hesitant because, with all the variety of “pizza” in the world today, a more basic “meat and cheese” pizza sounded boring. However, the quality of the dough, spices, and ratios of ingredients on each pie was great. Somehow the whole was more than the sum of the parts.The pitchers weren’t a great deal though, since it was priced at about 4 glasses but filled only 3.5-3.7.Overall great. Will return.

Probably the best pizza I ever had - no kidding.Even during busy times this place does not feel snobby like the others in the area - they somehow manage to accommodate. Been there twice on weekends during busy hours and they still managed to find us a table. Very poor service. Ordered delivery and the order came late and not complete. Ordered a salad and it came with no dressing. Called and they couldn’t find the order and finally a manager had to get involved. The manager finally found the order and said he would send the driver back. After waiting for 1 more hour with still no driver, I went up to their restaurant and got the dressing myself. They took no responsibility whatsoever and very poor customer service. Would NOT recommend. Plenty of other options in Sonoma that want to have earn your business than to go back to this establishment.

Hands down the best experience ever!! We are members of Roche Winery so we go to Sonoma every 3 months to pick up our wine. We have been doing this for 5 years now and our tradition was to go to the winery, have a tasting, then eat at a restaurant. We would go to a different restaurant every time, but for the last few years we end up always going to Mary’s. Obviously their food is sooooo good, but we end up going all the time because of their service. Ronnie who works as the Bartender is the absolute best at her job. She not only is very attentive to all of her customers, but most importantly is very personable. We want not only everyone to know where to go, but Mary’s to know how awesome of an employee you have. Ill just go straight into it. My server was rude! She literally demolished the extreme high I was on today from my wine tour, and I didnt expect to be treated like a peasant.. No Youre welcome, no smiling faces, and all because I told her I may have an allergy to the beet on my salad. Her attitude went downhill from there. Totally uncalled for. And to this establishment, I will NOT be giving her a tip for an unsatisfactory service. What a huge disappointment. If I hadn’t been so exhausted I would have driven back and asked for a refund. Ordered a medium pizza with extra cheese and what I got was a tiny, thin, tasteless sheet of cardboard. Truly the worst “pizza” I’ve ever had. There was almost zero sauce on it, it was truly dry, and where was the extra cheese I paid 3 dollars for? No spices, nothing. For over 20 bucks? I can get a pizza at dominos for 9 dollars that tastes ten times better. Would leave zero stars if I could. Absolutely terrible. Run.People I interacted with were kind. This was a complete and pleasant surprise. We were here with some friends to visit the nice Sonoma city center and other admittedly touristy things. They said this place has the best pizza. We knew Sonoma had wine...but pizza? Well shut the front door, this was fantastic. Everything from the sauce to the toppings to the dough were delicious. Is it better than a chain? Barely. Price did not equate, even for Sonoma. The delivery girl was courteous, but did not carry enough change for a more than reasonable tip. (Seriously, is 25% not enough even after you botched the handling?) Cute will only get you so far. Sorry, cant recommend this place.

Poor customer service. Good pizza just not worth the hassle. I have had pizza delivered before. Now all of the sudden they wont deliver to the same address and when I tried to order to pick up they hung up on me. Roundtable apologized and offered a discount for not delivering to my home. Half our order was missing (delivered somewhere else) and there were no plates, napkins or plastic forks to eat the salad. Pizza was lukewarm at best and undercooked. Went to the slice shack on Monday around 1 pm the staff and service was terrible.the cashier was rude and seems to hate his life, the cook was slow and constantly hiding in the back for unknown reasons. Also noticed a lack of care for cross contaimination for another gf costomer. Very disappointed do not be fooled by the look of this pizza joint.

Bad service. Waited way too long for food. Only our table’s order was delayed. Had to finally get it to go. Server never refilled our drinks or checked in with us until we has to ask. A $26 dollar pizza with pepperoni and sausage.... Makes you wonder. Rightfully so, because it ultimately is just... A pizza. Simply, fundamentally, and without fanfare: a pizza. Sadly, not a very good one. Im not kidding, get Dominos for less than half the price.I asked them about it actually, just to see what they had to say. The reply: pizza isnt what it used to be - uhhhh, true, you can get amazing Italian brick oven pizza for half what they charge, and Dominos (which is still quite good) for less than half. So, yeah, pizza isnt what it used to be, but nobody says you need to drop all that money for whatever it is their trying to sell at Marys.
