One of the best neighborhoods park in Burbank.....Lots of green area to play.... Plenty of picnic tables in spots..Excellent kids playing area, good amount of kids activity area....Restrooms on site, pretty clean but dont expect much....They have tennis courts and swimming pool as well....Parking places arenaccross the roads and plenty of spaces on california and Clark St.....I saw summer camp is happening with plenty of kids..

Rather fun wet play experience. Weve had several parties there. Two amazing slides, water interaction areas as well ad lap swimming options. It had a time limit of two hours which is rather lame. My advice is go further out by Santa Clareta. You can make a dAy of it

This place is so much fun!! If you dont have a kid borrow one, or just go anyway. We brought our 2 year old and she had a blast. There were older kids too, 6 yos, 10 yos, 35 yos. Just make sure you know the process before you go! The pool is only open for certain hours, and they seem to be changing. Call ahead and find out!

I swim here, I really like the pool typically when I go there arent many people here, staff is friendly, the place is typically kept clean and theres usually plenty of parking. I havent on in the gym above the pool or the park. Which looks very nice.

This place is usually packed for basketball but a good spot to ball it out with the bros. But in the summer you can go swimming not to many people go there to swim

Took my 2 year old and 10 year old. Paid $18 for 2 sessions for 3 of us. Well worth it each session is 2 hours and we stayed for about an hour and a half but we got there toward the end of the 1st session so it was nice that they just have a 15 minute change over for the play side and we hung out in the main pool while we waited. My 2 year old had a blast! He is sound asleep as i write this and we left about 20 minutes ago. Lol. We are going to go again. My 10 year old had a great time on the big slides. It was nice that he was able to do his own thing while i watched my toddler.

The pool and splash pad /water play area at this park is top notch. There is a charge for admission (one for the pool and another for the splash pad), and the cost is a bit more for non- Burbank residents, but it was well worth it. The locker room was large and pretty clean (though I didnt use the restrooms so cant comment on that). The kids splash area was really nice with a lot of elements to play, a zero depth entry into the pool for the smaller kids, and a water slide for the older kids. The splash pad can get crowded, though they do limit admission The main pool was plenty large with lots of room even on a busy day. Limited number of dec lounge chairs and shade is also hard to find

Incompetent swim instruction. My daughter suffered from secondary drowning in front of the lifeguard and instructor. I kept asking whether it was swimming for first-time students and was assured it was. I asked the lifeguard if water safety was the foundation of their technique and was told “no, that’s the American Red Cross approach.” Playing with a boogie board and jumping in from the side of the pool are not ways to teach first-time students to swim. I’m appalled and so grateful that I was there to save a life. Shame on this program.

This is a lovely pool accessible to the community for really reasonable rates. There is lane swimming, an open swimming area, and an awesome splash pad. You are time limited to 45 minutes, but sometimes thats just enough. This is an exceptional Burbank public recreational facility.

Awesome facilities. The activity pool is so much fun. Our kids enjoys a lot there.My big complain is the new time schedule... I do not understand what purpose serves the change from 10 am to 12 pm to the new 11:45 am to 1:45 pm. It is right in the lunch time, nap time and those are the worse sun hours. Quite disappointed, we love the pool and the staff is nice, no complains there.Please rethink the first turn time schedule.

I use the Verdugo Recreation Area mostly for theyre swimming pool. I do lap swim there but when my kids were younger I took them for the recreation swim often. The pool in locker room got a remodel perhaps 5 years ago and everything is very nice and clean. Seems uncrowded and safe. Having said that, there can be a lot of people for recreation swim but they always limit it to a certain number of people and have a morning session, and an afternoon one for kids. I have to water slides and that drops into water that is Maybe 3 feet deep. They have other sprinkler type attractions adjacent to that area where the water is very shallow, probably less than 2 feet there for the real little ones. Staff is friendly and they have concessions and you are able to bring chairs inside.For lap swim, please check the website for Burbank Aquatics, they will have a downloadable PDF that changes about as far as hours and the course layout. They run a short course more often which is the 25 yards across the pool, at 50 meters, standard full Olympic pool distance generally in the early morning hours.

A fun place to enroll kids, play tennis, and just hang out with the kids. They have great swim instructors. A big water play area is available for the kids for a charge. Nice basketball court as well. Overall, while it can be better, its great bang for the buck.

This is a great Burbank park. An Olympic sized swimming pool is open to the public. They have classes and kids activities. The park is very safe. The jungle gym area is great for kids. There are shady areas to sit and drinking fountains that work. Very clean park.

First time at this recreational center/pool with my little one. He had so much fun at the splash area especially the slide♥️! Worth the ride and time. Be prepared to get there early as it is first come first serve. Got there early so I was able to make it in at 11:45 am got tickets for the splash area. Sold out quick too. So I suggest you call to make sure the times and fees for both big pool and splash area. Burbank residents get to buy tickets in advance and they get a discount. Which is the only complaint at least for me its ridiculous and somewhat not fair. Dont get me wrong but at the end of the day we are all going to the same place lol the pool so why cant we all pay the same price🤷. But.. Overall it was a great experience.

First time here. Nice pool facility with 50-meter long lap lanes. My kind of place. Park with tennis courts, picnic area, bathrooms, covered and enclosed rec room, kinder care program building, and park grounds. Havent been to pool yet so cant give it 5 stars. Looks nice tho.

Been going here since I was a kid. One of the best pools in the valley. Very clean and nice people. As far as public pools and public parks go this one has my vote. Plus they put in new slides that look like a ton of fun

I dont recommend this one They charge $10 for adults and $5 for kids and you are not allowed to used all the pool only in the shallow if you child wants to used the slide is extra $ 😞If you want good pool try El Cariso AND IS FREE !!! ITS the best in the valley .

I love this park! The people are nice and my dog loves it too. There is a pool with a slid and other things for kids to play with. They also have a little cabin people can rent by the day for parties and there are a few tennis courts as well

New community pool with a kid activity area featuring 2 water slides and shallow play areas that are great for younger children, I highly recommend!Kid activity area has timed shifts, from 12:30 - 2:30 and then 2:30 - 4:30. they have colored wrist bands so when your time is up you leave for the next group to enter, you can still go into the main pool at this point if you still want to swim but chances are you and your kids will be nice and knackered ready to go home for a nap!*Note* Burbank locals get a discount!

Really nice pool for lap swim and clean locker rooms for a reasonable price ($5 for Burbank resident per visit, or cheaper if you buy a pass. $7 for non-resident at time of writing). Has both long course and short course hours, so be sure to check out the time options for the one you want. Sometimes with morning long course you lose some lanes to the Golden Road masters club or to classes. Sometimes in the afternoon school swim teams are using some lanes for practice. Even without those lanes there is still usually enough space to only have 2 (or occasionally 3) to a lane.

A very safe park. Safe? How safe? So safe that I once saw a group of 15 or so boys, in their late teens, conducting a sword-play class with (essentially) real swords-out on the lawn,visible to all.!. Shoot. If you tried to do that in North Hollywood Park youd soon be meeting your local law enforcement professional!They have a plethora of activities in the recreation center, which houses a public pool with limited general public access. Oh and no smoking within a nautical mile or else you gotta Pay!

There are 2 free tennis courts here, swimming pool, kids learning center, picnic tables.Restroom is not so clean. Not much shade for a hot day either. Great for morning or evening outdoor exercises.

My daughter and i been there today sep12th 2021 but they said we can not have lap swimming because my daughter is under 13years old🤷🏻‍♀️!!!!! I explained she is a a very good swimmer and Im going to swim with her but they said no. Isn’t it a messed up policy!!!( so why our kids go to swim lessons to learn how to swim, when they can not go any public pool!!!!)

Great pool! Swim with Golden Road Aquatics Masters, its the best way to take advantage of the facility. As part of the Masters team you dont have to worry about lane availability and Coach Mike is the man!

The place was good, don’t get me wrong, but the lifeguards have some attitude problems. It was my little cousin’s 8th birthday there and the lifeguards gave you attitude if you didn’t stop running. If you gave them attitude back, they would call in some other lifeguard, which didn’t make a difference. They are old teenagers, maybe early adults, that have no respect for the people around them. My review is honest and I would completely ignore what they say. I actually did stop running once and this one lifeguard kicked me out. WHAT THE HELL!

My kids are enrolled in the Tots program here and it is fantastic. The program is well structured, with emphasis on working on letters, singing songs, and playing games to stimulate the mind of young children.As far as pricing, the Tots class is a remarkable deal as well. For two times a week at 1.5 hours each class under $100, it comes highly recommended. My kids love Ms. Cassie and Mr. Sam!

Worst experience EVER!!!! This was the 4th time we had gone and the 3 people working the front desk were so rude that I asked to speak to a manager and he was ruder than the workers. It is no wonder the staff is ineffective, if the leader sets that kind of tone what can you expect? Each of the previous times we have gone it has been $6, on this visit they charged us $14 and the mgr took a ha ha thats what you get attitude. Once we entered the child pool was freezing cold. I will never waste my money on this location they have zero respect for their customers.

To go on the water slide you must go early to get tickets. And you m you must take the swim test to go off the diving boards. The swim test is very easy all you must do is swim across the pool halfway very easy. Its s olympic sized pool so its very big.

I have only spent time in the park so I cant speak for the other facilities. The grassy area is nice and shady, but there are a fair amount of mosquitoes and quite a bit of trash. The park is well maintained otherwise.

I love this place! Everyone is nice and friendly. All the nay sayers simply dont know the schedule well enough and dont ask the pertinent questions so they are not charged for less time. The instructors are great the front staff is always helpful. Who ever had a bad experience here must have a negative attitude to begin with or are simply not informed and are self entitled.

1 I took my daughter there I got there by 3:45and we paid $10 and by 4:30 that tell us to leave. I was confused and they said they go by sections 2 hours for sections I didnt do two hours but that didnt matter they did not want to hear I ask for a supervisor they said they didnt have one then I went home my daughter enjoyed the Little time she got, it will be best if it would be more explanations about how they system works but thank you anyway for the good time k

The park is not very large but clean and welll maintenance.There are kid playground, 2 clean tennis courts, clean restroom and a big swimming pool here. You can park in the park or on street for free.

The staff and lifeguards are rude as hell while trying to sound nice. Theyre so busy being rude they cant even restock the mens bathroom with toilet paper and soap. I purposely failed a swim test to avoid being hired by these people and become like them. Go somewhere else.

The place is great besides locker room....employees are sooo rude specially the supervisor himself who was helping my family his name is KENNY STRONG. I went with my three year old and my mom. I called the place three times before I got there and spoke with three different people because wanted to double check if they have any special requirements specially for toddlers or anything else that I need to know. I got there with full of excitement to enjoy my day off and wanted to pay to get in the supervisor was like I dont have change for $100 and the funny thing is when I asked where is a sign that says that he took a piece of paper from his computer that his the only person who can actually see. I told him sorry but I dont have any cards with me if you can do something that will be great he looked at the other employee and started loughing. I got soooo frustrated he turned sorry but I cant do anything for you. I explained him that this is very inconvenient for me to drive all the way here and now I have to find a store to get change. I could tell he could of done it but didnt want to. Sooo rude overall...I am going to complain on this guy all the way until he understands how to be a good supervisor and actually assist customers whenever he can.

This place rocks. Dont try to play basketball on Friday night because it is drop in dodgeball night and only come for that if you are ready to sweat. We really need safety glass break away rims so fools can dunk. If you have any, please let me know.

Lap swim schedules are not accurate. You end up last in the pecking order behind Golden Road Aquatics, a waterobics class, and any city park & rec classes. Really tough to get priority even as a paying customer.

This a very nice rec center with a nice outdoor pool, indoor basketball courts, outdoor tennis courts and a nice park. Try the adult dodgeball on Friday nights. Its a lot of fun.
