Working alongside JR and his team was a relatively smooth experience. Their communication skills were good, and they have efficiency in their work. However, it is with regret that I must highlight some shortcomings within the team. It appears that certain members struggled to diligently follow up, which resulted in a lack of clear instructions and overall clarity. Unfortunately, this oversight had significant consequences, leading to approximately $3000 in additional fees and extensive damage to my vehicle during its transportation from Japan to Texas.

After talking to 3 other importers ( ALL of whom told me I had to take my vehicle BACK to canada to import it) JR dispelled all bad information and quickly and very affordably completed my import ! I needed a broker stat to help with my customs release. I googled and Marine Air Land popped up. I gave them a call and JR was so helpful. He explained the whole process to me as I’m new to this and expedite my request. Honestly JR saved me another trip back to the logistics company and loads of time. First time importer here. Im a game designer and I had my first board game manufactured in China. I had ZERO clue what I was doing with regard to importing games into the US and I just feel so fortunate that I stumbled onto JR and his team.I mean honestly it was pretty amazing. From the first phone call JR put me at ease. He walked me through the process and didnt seem rushed or anything. Then from there they pretty much took care of EVERYTHING shipping related. And talk about responsive. I knew I was a rookie but JR was always super responsive. Maybe 3 hours tops between when I would ask a question or inquire about something until JR would email me back.I do want to admit that I did not shop around. So I have no clue or reference as to how competitive they are with regard to cost. After the first phone conversation I was like these are the guys Im using. So it may be that shipping and importing can be done at a lower cost using some other method or company. I really dont know. But for me Im sold. And unless someone offers me the same service and worry-free experience at half the cost (extremely doubtful) I plan on continuing to use Marine Air Land international Services well into the foreseeable future.

Mario and JR made importing a car from Canada a breeze. They helped us through every detail. When we got to the inspection site all the forms were completed perfectly and the inspection took about 5 minutes. JR followed up with us after to ensure everything was ready for the DMV. Easy!

This was my first time importing and would have liked a more clear explanation of the entire process and the timelines. My Parents tasked me with what they thought was an impossible task and I was able to convince them to let me go ahead and try. Long story short, over the span of 6 months we were able to arrange a shipping container from the Oakland port to arrive in Bangkok, Thailand. All of which could not be possible without the meticulous and patient coordination of Dawn Lopez. Very pleased with the service provided by JR and his crew. Im not very experienced in importing, bought a vintage motorcycle in Spain. Let me tell you, the ENTIRE process was smooth, JR and his team was diligent, honest, kind and so professional. As a first time importer, I reached out to MARIS in panic when I heard I had an ISF to file and my container had already left its origin. We hired Marine Air Land as our customs broker for a one-off import of material handling equipment. The gentlemen that we worked with were very knowledgeable and up front about policies, costs, laws, etc. The prices were also very reasonable. They were very easy to work with and very responsive. Unfortunately there was a bit of a delay in notification of arrival/availability of our imported goods but overall everything went very smoothly. I would highly recommend them, especially for small businesses inexperienced with importing.

I have never imported products from overseas and it seemed like a daunting process. As others have said, JR at Marine Air Land will take the time to explain the process in detail in addition to the costs. What seemed like a daunting process now seemed easy.It is also very rare to have a company that responds via email at lightening speed. JR was my point of contact and he would respond very very quickly and thoroughly to my emails to alleviate any concerns or mitigate any issues. This is absolutely essential when dealing with overseas vendors that are waiting for responses.We received our products without any issues, complications or surprises. I cannot recommend JR highly enough as he did an outstanding job for us.

Marine Air Land is a very professional company. It was the first time for me importing goods from abroad and once I contacted them and told them about my needs they got going right away and told me everything I needed to do so they could take care of the whole shipping, customs, and delivery process (with delivery right to my door). Contacted JR at Marine Air Land. He and his team went to work. I needed Customs paperwork for a car I imported 15 years ago. Within 5 days I received Customs paperwork from JR. After I received the paperwork, I then received an invoice. Took the paperwork to CBP and they commented on how well the Customs paperwork was filled out. Its Monday morning and my Mini Cooper is licensed, registered and title in the US. Thank you JR and Marine Air Land.

To the lay person Importing or Exporting items from country to country sounds complicated and so much so that one would almost for go the effort. This is not the case .From the very first phone contact with MLAIServices my hopes for importation started to look promising and in fact easy. The agent laid out a simple plan for execution and asked questions pertinent to the shipment . The call was followed up with the necessary forms emailed to complete. I was asked to provide ID and related photos and documents.The exercise took several contacts by phone and email. In the process I dealt with two of the agents there and truthfully I couldnt tell you which one was more delightful to speak with.As a customer this company will treat your shipment as there own and with thier years of experience will navigate you through any obstacles.The fees requested were more than reasonable and frankly less than expected.Bottom line = you wont find a better Company to handle your cargoSincerely, Mike McMichael

DHL blocked our shipment at customs and they did not give us any solution or explanation as to why. We contacted Marine Air Land and our agent was Mario. He attended to us perfectly (and in Spanish!) and explained all the steps to follow. Despite how difficult DHL made it for us, Mario was able to unblock our shipment and we will soon receive our things! Thank you so much!!! 10/10 I would count on them again!
